Walid Phares, author of “Confrontation” “The War of Ideas” and the “Future Jihad” has this assessment or ’score card’ as to how the various battles against globe girdling Jihad are going at the end of 2007. The key message is there is no global cohesion in this ‘war with no name’, now that the Brits have officially dropped the ‘war on terrorism’ moniker. As usual or ally Phares has cogent and sobering assessments as to the progress or lack thereof in what a number of us have taken to call the ‘long war’.
