Alexander Hamilton probably did the biggest disservice to our country of all time when he introduced and pushed forward fractionalized banking and a national bank. He believed to establish credit, our nation must have debt and the states should have their debts beholden to the federal government. Giving the federal government an inordinate amount of control and power and plunging American citizens into the slavery of debt. To quote Thomas Jefferson:

To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude.

- Thomas Jefferson

Ladies and gentlemen, I submit to you that our Republic teeters on the brink of financial collapse wholly due to greed and manipulation of our banking system, currency and financial situations. Rivaling the Great Depression, we see prices soaring: $2 for a dozen eggs, $4.20 for a gallon of diesel and that’s just the beginning. People are losing their homes and their jobs and you cannot solely lay that at the feet of bad financial decisions on the part of home owners. The system is corrupt from the center out and as Jefferson warned money has corrupted our leaders and government irretrievably. We only have ourselves to hold to task for this debacle…

The American people instead of being the independent leaders of our founding fathers’ time, have become complacent – content to feed from the federal teat and graze as fat and happy cows in virtual servitude to their federal overlords. It would seem we now live in a culture ruled by a ‘money for nothing, chicks for free’ mindset where hard work and exchange is derided in favor of handouts, babysitting and caretaking of our families and selves by a monolithic, greedy and rotten government of, for and by the wealthy and manipulative.

Taxation and pricing run amok in the name of a capitalistic market that overseen and controlled by the people rights itself and is a dream, but run by the greedy wealthy and elite becomes a tool of oppression. Not only are escalating prices the problem – our pay scales are not rising to match the expenses. Our jobs are being farmed out overseas or are being held by low-paying foreign labor (legal and illegal) and Americans are left with few choices to survive. Entrepreneurship and independence have always been the solution to that problem. But cleaning out our government is also necessary. To quote Jefferson once more:

A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned – this is the sum of good government.

and..

All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.

and…

Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies.

and finally…

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

We now reside in a country where only the wealthy or those backed by the wealthy can be elected. This must be rectified if we are to survive as a nation and soon. Our American downfall is at hand if we do not eliminate monied interests and the interests of the powerful and wealthy from our system of government. That is one of the reasons I am a Conservative – I strongly believe in limited government, the tight oversight of spending and debt and more power being given the states than the federal government.

Time to clean house folks; we need a political and financial cleansing of immense proportions – but only through this pain will we regain our strength as an American nation. Socialism and the politics of handouts are suffocating us and killing our society. Not only is it time for a pork overhaul, it is time to rout the rascals we have in office en masse in the pursuit of the restoration of liberty in our nation and in our pocketbooks…
