Walk Soft and Carry a GPS Locator…

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

Our government now wants to monitor us via GPS units – which by the way, they can attach to your vehicle without that bothersome warrant thingie… Check out the article at Alain’s Newsletter: Court upholds GPS tracking by police without warrant… Big brother is now using our technology against us. Key excerpt:

As the law currently stands, the court said police can mount GPS on cars to track people without violating their constitutional rights — even if the drivers aren’t suspects.

Officers do not need to get warrants beforehand because GPS tracking does not involve a search or a seizure, Judge Paul Lundsten wrote for the unanimous three-judge panel based in Madison.

That means “police are seemingly free to secretly track anyone’s public movements with a GPS device,” he wrote.

For an even deeper look into electronic infringement on your Constitutional rights, check out WorldNetDaily’s piece: ‘Electronic Police State’ report cites U.S.

But that’s okay, in their minds they are only going after “right wing extremists.” Such as the Louisiana driver who was stopped and detained for having a “Don’t Tread on Me” bumper sticker on his vehicle and warned by a police officer about the “subversive” message it sent. Eventually, after sufficiently harassing the driver, they let him go. Guess they couldn’t come up with something that would actually stick… As one friend said to me, the Don’t Tread on Me logo goes back to our nation’s founding. The only way it can be seen as subversive by the Obama administration is if it plans to govern like King George did. And there you have it…

Florida Firm Cites BMW Posts in News Release

Officials at the National Institute for Truth Verification issued the following news release today, four days after I published the second post in a two-part series about the U.S. military’s use of portable lie detectors in combat:

Two-Part Investigative Series: Military ‘Turf War’ Places Americans at Increased Risk

In a recently-published two-part investigative series, a former Air Force officer reveals the inside story about a “turf war” being waged by bureaucrats within the Department of Defense over the use of portable lie detection technology during interrogations of enemy combatants, terror suspects and others on and off the battlefield.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., May 11 /PRNewswire/ — In a recently-published two-part investigative series, former Air Force officer Bob McCarty reveals the inside story about a “turf war” being waged by bureaucrats within the Department of Defense. The war, in this case, revolves around the military’s use of portable lie detection technology during interrogations of enemy combatants, terror suspects and others on and off the battlefield.

In Part One, McCarty explains how questions about the use of waterboarding and other forms of torture during interrogations of enemy combatants and terror suspects might be largely irrelevant today if not for a memo signed by Under Secretary of Defense James R. Clapper Jr. Oct. 29, 2007. That memo granted “Operational Approval of the Preliminary Credibility Assessment Screening System” and designated the polygraph and its newer portable cousin, PCASS, the “only approved credibility assessment technologies” in the Department of Defense.

In Part Two, McCarty offers a dozen solid pieces of evidence from individuals and agencies inside and outside of DoD that make a solid argument in support of a more accurate and versatile technology — Computer Voice Stress Analyzer(R) — that realized unprecedented success when used by the U.S. military from 2002 to 2008. Furthermore, he reveals how Americans on the front lines of the War on Terror — including active-duty members of the Special Operations community, senior interrogation officials at Guantanamo Bay and others — believe the actions of leaders within DoD are “doing great damage to our national security” by keeping the best equipment available from the war fighters who need it the most in places like Afghanistan, Iraq and GITMO.

Blogger Finds ACORN Info for Glenn Beck

By: Bob McCarty
Bob McCarty Writes

On his television show today, Glenn Beck mentioned that neither his show’s researchers nor the Fox News Channel’s researchers could find no information about Citizens, Consulting, Inc., a New Orleans-based group many describe as “accounting central” for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, the controversial community organizing and voter registration group best known by the acronym, ACORN. Within two minutes, however, I found something about the group.

I visited the web site of the State of Louisiana Office of the Secretary of State and found the web page shown in the graphic above.

After seeing the name, “MILDRED BROWN,” listed as secretary/treasurer, I searched online telephone databases for “Mildred Brown” in each of the Washington, D.C., and New Orleans zip codes listed on the aforementioned web page. Unfortunately, none of the numbers that surfaced were working numbers. Surprised? Hardly.

Back to you, Glenn.

Obama Budget Risks Nation’s Energy Security

By: Bob McCarty
Bob McCarty Writes

President Barack Obama’s 2010 budget proposal makes it appear he’s ready, willing and able to bury Americans in new taxes, place the nation’s energy security in peril and put six-million American jobs at risk.

In a statement Friday regarding his proposed 2010 budget for the nation, the president had this to say about energy:

Specifically, this Budget details the pillars of the stable and broad economic growth we seek: making long overdue investments and reforms in education so that every child can compete in the global economy, undertaking health care reform so that we can control costs while boosting coverage and quality, and investing in renewable sources of energy so that we can reduce our dependence on foreign oil and become the world leader in the new clean energy economy.

Translated, the statement means he plans to strip the nation’s oil and gas industry to the bone by taking away tens of billions of dollars in tax breaks. If passed, such draconian moves will result in substantial cutbacks on domestic oil exploration and, in turn, put millions of industry jobs at risk.

“The new taxes are anti-jobs, anti-consumer, and anti-energy,” said American Petroleum Institute President Jack Gerard this morning in a statement regarding taxes on oil and natural gas companies in the administration’s budget proposal. “They will depress investment in new domestic oil and gas projects, weakening the nation’s energy security.

“Six million American workers depend on the oil and natural gas industry for their jobs,” Gerard explained. “Raising taxes in a time of economic decline is a recipe for disaster. Historically, new taxes hurt businesses, threaten jobs, and lead to higher prices for consumers.

“Higher energy taxes that reduce production and increase costs take money from every American household. We need to get the nation on the road to economic recovery. New taxes on domestic energy production make that task substantially harder.”

If you think we should do everything possible to reduce our country’s dependence on foreign sources of oil and natural gas, make your voice heard by CONTACTING YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS in Washington, D.C., and demanding they oppose President Obama’s dangerous budget proposal.

President Obama Launches Health Care Push

By: Bob McCarty
Bob McCarty Writes

President Barack Obama is meeting today with a group of what the White House calls “health care reform stakeholders.”

Those attending represent insurers, hospitals, physicians, medical device companies, pharmaceutical companies and, of course, labor union representatives and will, no doubt, take into consideration everything listed on the president’s “full fact sheet” about the issue of health care costs.

If this meeting works out as well as previous Obama Administration meetings with banks and automakers, we should all have free health care by 5 o’clock and the future of the nation’s health care system should look like the picture painted in the video below:
