How I got on this list for The White House, I’ll never know. But, I received this a bit ago:

Hello –

As a Senior Advisor to the President, I’m here in Cairo, Egypt where I watched President Obama deliver an unprecedented speech calling for a new beginning for the United States and Muslim communities around the world.

We all know that there has been tension between the United States and some Muslim communities. But, as the President said this morning, if all sides face the sources of tension squarely and focus on mutual interests, we can find a new way forward.

The President outlined some big goals for this new beginning in his speech — including disrupting, dismantling, and defeating violent extremism. It was a historic speech, and since many Americans were asleep at the time it was given we wanted to make sure you had a chance to see it:

Majority-Muslim countries around the world are filled with extraordinary people who simply want to live their lives and see their children live better lives, just as in America. Indeed, part of what makes America great is having nearly seven million Muslim Americans living here today and enriching our culture and communities.

We can extend that kind of relationship abroad. It won’t always be easy, but if we make an effort to bridge our differences rather than resigning ourselves to animosity, we can move toward a more peaceful world over time.

Okay, this physically makes me throw up. The speech threw our military and our CIA operatives under the bus – how dare our President apologize for our response after 9-11. In my opinion, we didn’t do near enough. I’m sure this really warms the hearts of the families and friends of the 3,000 who died that day. This is despicable… Simply treacherous and vile…

Read it – they put it much better than I can, since I am almost speechless with horror at what I heard today when I woke up. Everything I have seen convinces me more and more that Obama is Muslim and wants the US to unite under Allah. A new beginning my ass… More like a new conquest for the Ummah…

“The world is the worse for this speech because it was not honest about the situation in the Middle East, not honest about the threat from Iran, not honest about Israel’s deep desire to be allowed to live in peace, and not honest about the determination of Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran to destroy Israel and to gain the weapons necessary to do so in an instant.

“No speech so deeply dishonest in its omissions or so rhetorically misleading its its assumptions and arguments can do anything other than communicate extraordinary weakness on the part of the United States. It will indeed be a famous speech, for all the wrong reasons.”

What's interesting about this phrase is how it echoes the fact, which I pointed out above, that Muslims, whenever they mention Muhammad, add "peace be upon him."
