In a, “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina” moment, South Carolina Governor, Mark Sanford, admitted today to having an 8 year-long affair with an Argentinian and then resigned as the Chairman of the Republican Governors’ Association. He did all this with the sentimentality of a salamander… More sympathy for the skank he laid for 5 days to say goodbye to in Argentina than for his wife who kicked him out two weeks ago. Disgusting.

Is there something in the water? Did I miss something? In the short span of two weeks, two of the most prominent Republicans out there, John Ensign and Mark Sanford, admit to affairs (and to not being able to keep it in their pants) and throw their political careers away. How to commit political party suicide – let me count the ways…

Perhaps Sanford took his cue from Bill Clinton by polishing up his foreign affairs skills (Hat Tip: Confederate Yankee). Corruption and immorality know no political bias, only the media does… Crickets from the Media on Bill Clinton, thunderous outrage at Sanford. Both are scuzzy if you ask me. But, Clinton may be going to hell – read Don Surber’s post…
