Meet your new Manufacturing Czar, Ron Bloom… You’ll remember Mr. Bloom – he is also Obama’s Car Czar. Ostensiby, Mr. Bloom is replacing Van Jones who was the Green Jobs Czar. The title is now new and improved, minus all those ugly connotations left over by the unsavory Van Jones debacle. The announcement came, unsurprisingly, two days after Van Jones – a self-avowed Communist – resigned from the Obama administration. Now he will double dip so-to-speak in dual Czar positions. Nice work if you can get it (you know, minus the whole pesky ethics thingy).

Ron Bloom – Manufacturing Czar

Bloom, a Harvard Business-trained banker turned United Steelworkers official, will now take over as the official Manufacturing Czar for the Obama administration. The administration is touting the aforementioned credentials as the overriding factor. Don’t be fooled – the primary factor here is big labor and a socialist agenda.

From the Wall Street Journal:

Mr. Bloom attended Harvard Business School, where he gravitated to populist business cases and was keenly interested in employee buyouts. After 10 years at investment banks, among them Lazard, he became special assistant to the USW president in 1996.

Both inside and outside the USW, Mr. Bloom is known as a financially savvy negotiator — with a tendency to spout profanities. In a 2007 article depicting Mr. Bloom’s role in the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Corp. takeover battle, The Wall Street Journal wrote some USW members thought Mr. Bloom is “too cozy with the moneymen.”

By most accounts, Mr. Bloom is a very savvy businessman. He is tough, but has big labor’s best interests at heart – in other words, the common shareholder will most likely be screwed. They say he is very good at turning companies around – my concern is his ties to big labor as well as the Democrat Party. And, let’s not forget, he is recruited from Wall Street. Yeah, that’s worked out so well in the past. New face, same old approach…

New Zeal states the following:

But Bloom has spent far longer in the labor and socialist movements than he has on Wall Street. There is even some evidence that Bloom specifically went into banking, in order to better serve organized labor.

Like Obama himself, Bloom has moved in circles close to Democratic Socialists of America (DSA)-an organization far more “socialist” than “democratic”.

Read all of the article at New Zeal. You will see that Bloom is also a supporter of “Card Check.” In fact, Bloom was recruited by Detroit DSA chair and National Political Committee member David Green who is directly tied to “Card Check.”

Bloom’s youthful experiences included being taught the fine art of social justice. Bloom also worked for SEIU after graduating Wesleyan University in 1977. So you see, the union and socialist agendas are long established in his history and his viewpoints.

As Manufacturing Czar, Mr. Bloom will strive to advance a centralized form of unionized government. He will market socialized health care to big business as making them more competitive. The union labor agenda will be upheld as the deciding and mitigating factor over all other concerns.

Bloom will be compelled to work closely with Labor Secretary Hilda Solis, who also has Democrat Socialists of America connections.

Finally from New Zeal:

Three of the most influential union affiliated officials of the Obama administration have connections to Democratic Socialists of America-an organization whose “goal as socialists is to abolish private ownership of the means of production”.

This doesn’t appear to worry the Obama administration-which is well known for its vigorous vetting procedures.

Perhaps it concerns you a little?

It worries the hell out of me. More and more radicals are popping up around Obama. A whole array of socialists, Marxists and communists are influencing the administration. And I contend, all of this is being dictated by George Soros and The Tides Foundation.

Here’s a great quote from Ron Bloom:

Bloom wrote in an article for the Fall 2006 edition of DSA’s Democratic Left;

In today’s world the blather about free trade, free-markets and the joys of competition is nothing but pablum for the suckers.

And if you want a real eye-opener, read New Zeal’s: Obama File 87 Obama’s Socialist Appointees-Where is the Spotlight?

I don’t know about you, but the more I learn about Obama’s cadre of czars, the more creeped out I get. Very, very troubling…

From Malkin on Bloom:

And they highlight a union philosophy quote from Bloom that would make Andy “persuasion of power” Stern cackle:

“Let me give you some advice. First, we are big believers in dentist chair bargaining. For those of you not familiar with this approach, it is inspired by the story of the man who walks into his dentist’s office, grabs the dentist by the balls and says, ‘now, let’s not hurt each other.’ We do have a lot to lose and we and everybody else knows it. But what you need to understand is that we are willing to lose it.”
