Chachas Has Money to Spend, Can’t Wait to Debate and Has Ideas for Job Creation

In an exclusive interview with Elizabeth Crum, editor of the Nevada News Bureau, Republican U.S. Senate candidate John Chachas indicates that he’ll report “considerably more money raised externally” than he showed on his first FEC report last October, as well as an additional personal contribution to his campaign. Chachas said 95 percent of the money he’s raised thus far has come from outside Nevada.

The Ely native also said he is anxious to debate his fellow GOP candidates. “So, you set it up, and I’ll show,” he told Crum in his first extensive political interview in Nevada since becoming a candidate last fall. “You pick the date, time, place, topic, and I will be there. I wish someone would do it soon.”

To begin the process of bringing Nevada back from the economic recession, Chachas says he would “go to DC and I would bang the door to get ten million acres back from the federal government,” then “put it up for auction and privatize it” and “give tax deferrals to companies that deploy capital to build businesses here.”
