SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE’S VICTORIA JACKSON JOINS “SHOWDOWN IN SEARCHLIGHT” THIS MARCH 27TH
Former Saturday Night Live alumnus, Victoria Jackson, has announced she will be joining the “Showdown in Searchlight” tea party rally that kicks off the Tea Party Express III: Just Vote Them Out national tour.
The “Showdown in Searchlight” tea party rally takes place at “High Noon” on Saturday, March 27th in Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s tiny hometown of Searchlight, NV (population: 700) in the southern Nevada desert.
Said Jackson of her participation in the March 27th “Showdown in Searchlight”:
“I am honored to do anything for the Tea Party Movement.
” I attended the first tea party Los Angeles had and brought my Webster’s Dictionary to show people the difference between Capitalism, Socialism, and Communism. I never miss a Tea Party I can attend. I am a beginner political activist. Holding signs and calling Congress is all new to me, but I now have Congress on speed dial.
“I took my FREEDOM for granted until 2008 when my government began to take my freedom away. I am not alone. With the help of God we will take our country back and it will be the Constitutional Bastion of Liberty that our Forefathers intended it to be.”
Victoria Jackson had her television breakthrough on “The Tonight Show” with Johnny Carson, where she would make 20 appearances over time. She is best known for her six season’s on NBC’s popular “Saturday Night Live” late-night variety show.
