Democratic Socialists of America member Dr. Michael Eric Dyson gives an impassioned speech on his “brother” Barack Obama to last weekend’s “We Count! The Black Agenda is the American Agenda” Conference in Chicago, while comrade Cornel West nearly wets himself with excitement.
Dyson is a former co-parishioner with Obama of Marxist Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ, in South Chicago. He claims to have known Barack Obama since 1991.
Juan Lopez is chairman of the Communist Party USA in Northern California.
In today’s Peoples World he claims an “historic victory” in the health care front and looks forward to more more battles on the road to American socialism.
Lopez makes it clear that Obamacare is only a first step on the road to fully socialized healthcare “enshrined in the Bill of Rights, as an amendment to the Constitution guaranteeing free health care for all as a basic human right”.

They came out on this beautiful, warm spring morning at Cody Park to rally with the Tea Party Express. As a flock of geese squawked in a nearby pond, and albino peackocks fanned their feathers, Nebraksan farmers and their wives, men and women from nearby Hershey, veterans of wars and military service came to hear our songs and words of encouragement.
Speaking to fellow Americans
The Pledge of Allegiance
God Bless America, Land That I love…
I shook as many hands as I could — these are the hands of workers, rough and calloused with a grip that means something. We’re all in this fight together. Nebraskans are fed up. Their Senator, Ben Nelson is persona non grata. They are determined to get rid of him. These are folks from our nation’s heartland.
We thank you for coming out this morning. God bless you!
Our friend John Ruberry writes about the history of North Platte’s most famous resident Buffalo Bill Cody. ”This morning at 10:00 am the Tea Party Express III holds a rally in North Platte, Nebraska. And I just happen to have a North Platte post for today; actually this entry is from July 4, 2009, but I’m reposting as a complement to the tea party.” — The Marathon Pundit.
And now, it’s on to Omaha, with a whistle stop first at Exit 314 off I-80 East. On the road again…

Obama to Crush Economy with Massive CO2 Taxes as Early as Next Week (Hat Tip: Jean Stoner)
Put simply, it means $8 for a gallon of gas and 2-3 times higher electricity bills. It also means the loss of millions more sorely needed jobs as businesses are hit with higher operating costs and the transfer of whatever remains of our manufacturing sector to China where energy is cheaper and they aren’t so concerned about CO2.
In the first week alone, American businesses estimated that ObamaCare will cost them $14 billion. By most estimates this latest Obama nightmare will be far more expensive and may literally destroy the economy in less than 20 years.

In 9 Days: Bart Stupak to Face Giant Blowback for Health Care “Sellout”
Congressman Bart Stupak (D-Michigan) received considerable notoriety for his decision to flip-flop on his stance regarding the health care bill passed by Congress.
And now Stupak will face the voters for his controversial decision as the Tea Party Express heads towards Stupak’s district with THREE tea party rallies in his district which will focus on ensuring his defeat in his re-election campaign for Congress.
Along with the rallies will be a coordinated TV and radio ad campaign targeting Stupak for defeat.
“Bart Stupak sold out his constituents by voting for that awful government-run health care bill. Worse, he sold out the Constitution. Congressman Stupak best call a moving company, because he’s going to need it, as his days in office are now numbered. We’re going to be handing him a pink slip and voting him out of office,” said Mark Williams, Chairman of the Tea Party Express.
The Tea Party Express will hold tea party rallies in Stupak’s district (including tea party rallies in Ironwood, Escanaba and Sault Sainte Marie on April 8th and 9th.
Complete details can be found at: www.TeaPartyExpress.org
Tea Party Express III: Just Vote Them Out national tour kicked off this weekend in Searchlight, NV where one of the largest political gatherings in Nevada history took place. The Tea Party Express will hold 44 tea party rallies across the nation, featuring conservative speakers, singers, and entertainers. The caravan’s final stop is in Washington, D.C. for the Tax Day Tea Party on April 15th.

We’re on the Blue Bus and it is 2 a.m. ET. We’ve put in a full day with two rallies, one this morning in Grand Junction, the other this afternoon in Denver. We are on our way to No. Platte, Nebraska for tomorrow’s Tea Party rallies there and in Omaha. We’re about three miles from the hotel, and eager to crash for the night. Long day.
The bus’ flat panel TV screen is above me and I’m watching the replay of the Glenn Beck Show, hosted tonight by Fox Senior Judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano. Napolitano opens the show explaining four key elements of what’s unconstitutional about the newly signed Health Care law. Congress cannot order the people to buy health insurance. The Supreme Court has said the most private of our conversations are between us and our physicians, yet this law required the physicians to report our information to federal bureaucrats. And that’s just the beginning. We must destroy this despicable law. It is strangling us and violating every core principle of our founding document.
The Congress that enacted this monstrosity recognizes no limits on its own powers. That is 180 degrees from the values of inalienable rights and the limits on government that the Constitution gave us. We MUST vote them out in 2010.
State leaders from across the nation say this law infringes on states rights. And Florida’s Attorney General Bill McCollum is just one of many state AG’s doing something about it — Florida is suing the Federal Covernment for infringing on state sovereignty.
In the hotel now, finishing up this post before heading to bed. But before I do, I want to tell you that this is why we’re taking the Tea Party on the road. We’re meeting with fellow Americans to encourage each other to get involved with local and state governments to push our elected representatives to protect our communities from this monstrous federal government that knows no bounds, much less the constraints of the Constitution. Push back. PUSH BACK!!!
One woman in Grand Junction hugged me at the conclusion of the rally and began to cry. ”I’m scared”, she told me. ”I’m afraid of where our country is heading.” I joined my fellow Tea Party speakers and performers, moving into the crowd to shake hands and thank these wonderful people for coming out on a windy morning to be with us. It was the most moving thing — the most powerfully emotional thing I’ve experienced to date. I was in tears, looking into the eyes of men who had fought for our country, and the women who lived through it, waiting for their loved ones, some to never return home again. They know the fight. They’ve been there. But none of them ever imagined anything like this could be happening to them, their children, and their grandchildren. It moved me beyond words…
Photos follow of our Tea Party Rally in Denver late this afternoon. More about the Tea Party Express national tour tomorrow. Don’t forget to check Dave’s site for updates. And tune in to our nightly internet radio show at 9pm ET where Dave has been holding down the fort this week taking on hosting duties. And doing a fine job of it too. See the post he wrote this morning.
