ADL Calls For “Major Law Enforcement Operation” To Deal With Obamacare Critics

The Anti-Defamation League is calling for a major national law enforcement operation to quiet our voices. Silly me, I thought we had a right to free speech under the First Amendment of the Constitution. Notice in the following report/hit piece, that they print the comments put on certain blogs including Fox News, gun and survivalist blogs. News Flash to the ADL and the Southern Poverty Law Center – it is not illegal to express your thoughts – YET!
Now when Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh and bloggers speak their minds, we are accused of sedition. There have been 24 attempts in the United States to regulate speech through legislation banning sedition. And you can bet that the Obama administration will try many more.
What they make light of in this paper is exactly what is happening in America today – we are being ‘transformed’ into a Marxist/fascist state. Do they really think that by posing the events of today as if they are crazy to be even considered, that the minds of patriotic Americans will miraculously come over to the liberal dark side?
Perhaps these authors and sponsors would do well to actually read the Constitution and our history of the founding fathers. Even then, they would only read and see what they wanted to see. Frankly, most of what I see in this paper stated as comments from different forums is right on the money. I challenge these people to prove where most of this is wrong. This crap is occurring right before our eyes and you people keep saying, ‘No it’s not. Here, look at this distracting piece of news…’ The more extremist views are cherry picked to make all patriots look like crazed hatemongers.
That the ADL would encourage the kind of policing activity that led to Dachau, Auschwitz and Treblinka belies any understanding of their own history. Remember, “NEVER AGAIN.”

I. Introduction
“The antichrist [President Obama] will sign this [health care legislation] and start stealing money from our hard earned paychecks immediately, with his newly hired IRS agents as his strongarm. Bloodshed is coming…” Post by “mmpaints” on the American Preppers Network Forum, March 22, 2010.
During the first few months of 2010, anti-government extremism has taken on a new level of intensity in the United States. The arrests of the Hutaree militia in Michigan illustrate this passion, which exists both within and outside the militia movement. Unfortunately, the Hutaree arrests may come to be seen not as the culmination, but rather as a first step in what may need to become a major national law enforcement operation.
Monitoring of internet chatter, documented in this report, indicates that many militia members and other extremists believe that the recently passed health care legislation will be followed by the mass legalization of illegal immigrants, postponement or elimination of democratic elections, martial law and gun confiscation. In response, these anti-government extremists are saying, in many different forums, that they believe that violence may be, or clearly is, both necessary and justified.
The extent of these sentiments, combined with their sometimes shocking virulence, should serve as a warning sign that the violent rhetoric of today may be followed up with violent actions in the future.
