Hat Tip: Gateway Pundit
They are attacking the bloggers from every angle now – openly… The efforts to shut us down along with free speech are intensifying at a dizzying pace. This is one blogger that will stand in the lion’s den. Let’s dance asshats…

Among much that they fail to understand is that the reason people are turning away from them and turning to the internet (the New Media) is because we saw the blatant cover-up and spin during the 2008 campaign and we know we cannot trust them to deliver ‘real’ news.
I agree with both of you wholeheartedly!
They want to instill fear in hopes that we’ll return to them for the news. This will enable them to continue to control the propaganda as they did during the campaign. Evidence: JournOlist.
And that’s what their witch-hunt is all about. Again, they underestimate the intelligence of the people… they speak of a gatekeeper because they think we are incapable of discerning fact from fiction. They’re as bad as our elected officials! Evidence: Cybersecurity legislation.
Ms. Sherrod was NOT the story, but they’re using her to advance their agenda – which is the same as this administration’s agenda… control information and communication, and shut down free speech. Evidence: FCC Czar’s recorded statements.
Andrew Breitbart said from DAY ONE that the story was NOT about Ms. Sherrod, it was about the reaction from NAACP members listening to the intial part of Ms. Sherrod’s story about the white farmer. Breitbart stated clearly that it was about the NAACP, but there the media goes again… spinning it to benefit themselves and this administration. Evidence: Breitbart’s interview with Sean Hannity and the letter he read which revealed the Dem strategy of accusing the Tea Party of racism in order to improve their chances in the upcoming election. (The NAACP was simply advancing that despicable strategy).
Disgraceful, right? But without bloggers like TMH and Dave, what chance would people have of learning the truth from CNN and the other alphabet media? None.
Very well said Dave… 🙂 Spoken like a true military man…
You are correct: they use it as a weapon and want you think twice before posting something. Be careful, stay within known legal guidelines and avoid any “unforced errors” as in the Williams case.
And, back up everything on your site to disk as often as possible. But, backing down from these thugs should never be a consideration. Never.
Expect things to get worse because they will–you do good, solid, comprehensive work here; they fear you and others like you, and hope beyond hope that you’ll be affected by the fear they attempt to instill inside your head. In the case you are attacked, know that you will NOT be standing alone–we’re all behind you and in the same boat. An attack on you is an attack on all of us. (Blogger Doctrine, of sorts)
I think most of this fear is overblown, because if they begin closing down blogs and websites, filing lawsuits and the like, the blow back would take the form of a nuclear reaction. This, too, they understand.
Because we have so much power and influence these days, they attack and threaten all sorts of consequences. Having said that, they should fear us, not the other way around. And they do fear us.
As Patton often said: “My men don’t dig foxholes. Let the enemy do that. We aren’t interested in holding ground–we are constantly moving forward.” Paraphrasing, of course.
Soldier on!
Very true Dave, but they are using fear as a weapon to silence bloggers like you and me. They think if we fear a lawsuit and have to pay 150k to 350k that we will be silenced. Well, you can’t get blood out of a turnip and I’ve always followed fair usage and attribution guidelines. The trouble is the copyright laws are so vague they can get them to say anything they want.
Listened to this last night… couldn’t believe what I was hearing. But, in the end, this is GOOD news–we, the NEW MEDIA, are being very effective, scaring the hell out of the establishment.
