Washington, D.C.— Dr. Lawrence A. Hunter, president of The Alliance for Retirement Prosperity, released the following statement today:
“American voters threw the bums out on Tuesday. Seniors and baby boomers led the way and set the tone of the 2010 midterm elections. Fear and anger drove voters led by baby boomers and seniors to snatch control of the House of Representatives away from the Democrats and surgically dismantle the Democrats’ filibuster-proof majority in the Senate.
“Exit poll data reveal that one in four voters (25 percent) Tuesday were age 65 and over, up dramatically from the 2008 election when only 15 percent of the electorate were seniors.”
“Exit polls also reveal that fear about the economy and anger at Washington, particularly for shoving ObamaCare down the throats of the American people, prompted voters to choose divided government as a guardian and block against Obama’s radical liberal agenda until the people can put the nation on a more precise course forward in 2012. The president has been put on probation.
“The top issue on people’s minds according to exit polls was the economy where 62 percent named the economy as their most important issue this year. More than 80 percent of voters responding to exit pollsters said they were to some degree ‘worried’ about the economy. A quarter of voters expressed anger at Washington, and 48 percent of voters said they want ObamaCare repealed.
“Nine out of ten voters responding to pollsters’ questions Tuesday as they left their polling place saw no economic recovery in sight, and by 56 percent to 39 percent voters opposed government’s trying to do more to fix the economy. (Too bad Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke wasn’t on the ballot.) Just 35 percent of voters said they think the country is on the right track while 62 percent said things are heading in the wrong direction.
“Republicans, however, should not take solace in these voter sentiments since those same exit polls show that 29 percent of voters blame former President George W. Bush for creating the current economic mess while only 24 percent blame President Barack Obama. But that doesn’t exempt Obama from voters’ wrath either since only 32 percent of voters surveyed said they thought President Obama’s $814 billion stimulus program had helped the economy; indeed, two-thirds said it either hurt the economy or had no effect at all.
“The bottom line is, that while voters tended to cut Obama some slack on who created the economic mess the country is in, only 45 percent of voters in exit polls approve of the President’s overall performance; 54 percent disapprove.
“Message to the president: ‘Listen to the American People, and change your liberal ways.'”

The Loser in Chief may have lost his mandate last night, when the American people responded to him calling them “the enemy” by firing The Wicked Witch of Congress and her Merry Band of Congresscriminals.
But all is not lost! At least Zero is getting some good lovin’ today overseas.
Only problem is, the doll with his likeness is not anatomically correct.
His head’s not up his ass.
And, anyway, he wouldn’t know what to do with all those white women if he had an instruction booklet.
Hey! I wonder if, instead, he’ll be getting it on with The Official Democratic Party Blow-up Doll.
But maybe not, since last night pretty much assured that Democrats aren’t going to be having any fun for a very long time, let alone getting laid. In fact, they may all be better off lying down and going to sleep in the new symbol for the Democratic Party.
Bring out yer dead!
Renee Ellmers is the conservative constitutionalist seeking election in North Carolina.
Bob (Who are you?) Etheridge is her opponent. He is now demanding a recount even though Renee beat him fair and square at the polls.
This will now be an expensive, tedious fight. Please contribute to Renee and help her fight another Progressive/Marxist elitist Democrat who needs to let the electoral door hit him in the ass once and for all.
A call to all patriots is going across the blogosphere to ask for money to win this fight. They will need all the help they can get as the other side is well-funded to say the least.
We want all the votes counted accurately and properly and need to make sure that is what happens. We need to ensure this is a fair election, not another Al Franken nightmare.

America changed overnight in a very big way. Based upon election results at this moment, sixty percent of our country will now be led by Republican Governors. That number may grow as a few states with uncertain election results are solidified.
Yesterday, there were 37 Governor’s races and Republicans won 24 of them. Democrats took only nine, Independents took one and three are too close to call at this moment (Connecticut, Minnesota and Vermont).
This is an absolutely stunning loss for Democrats who, prior to the election, held 26 states to the 24 held by Republicans.
The balance of power has shifted and this will impact the 2012 elections as well as redistricting that will occur in each state as a result of the 2010 Census.
Another benefit may be that Obamacare finds itself under greater pressure… some of the states that the Democrats lost may decide to join the ongoing set of lawsuits to defeat Obamacare.
Of the 37 gubernatorial races last night, Republicans won the following (so far):
- New Mexico
- South Carolina
- South Dakota
States which are still held by Republicans:
- New Jersey
- North Dakota
This is the kind of change we can believe in! Americans have sent a clear message to the President and all 535 members of Congress.
Although President Obama doesn’t appear to have grasped this clear message yet, we will continue to remind those in Congress so that we can return to a government that is of, by and for the people. Those who persist in ignoring the will of the people will feel the results when they’re up for re-election.
The gubernatorial power shift achieved in yesterday’s election represents a stunning loss for Democrats and a triumph for the American people.
