  1. Here is a simple solution. If the people of the neighborhoods are so concerned about safety, have the people in the houses instal security lights on the houses that point toward the street, lighting the street up.
    The citizens can either pay for the lights themselves; or they can pay taxes to the city and have the city provide the lights. I think paying for the lights yourself is a better because then you won’t have to pay the salary of the city employees that administer the lighting program or the repair crews for the city lights. It is time that we look to ourselves to solve our problems instead of looking to a Government Middleman.
