Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) called out State Assembly Democrats for “not telling the truth” about their plan to cut property taxes “20 percent” relative to the administration’s proposed 10 percent across-the-board income tax cut. He explained that it really amounts to 8 percent, being that “all those other property tax relief programs we have now, homestead rebate and all the rest of them, they collapse them and they use that money plus an income tax increase to fund their 20 percent plan…They’re lying to you…They’re playing the oldest scam in the book. They’re hoping you won’t read the fine print.”
