With full and enthusiastic support from SCOTUS Chief Justice John Roberts, Usurper and Dictator-in-Chief Barack Hussein Obama has now effectively “transformed” America into his personal empire if dying cash-cow. Supplanting the US Constitution and Republic with what some pundits are calling “political correctness” (a view of Roberts’ behavior to which I do not subscribe), Roberts has now placed the United States of America firmly into Socialism…aka Marxism…and effectively changed the US Constitution’s opening line “We-the-People” into “We-the-Rulers.”
Roberts is now ‘loved’ by the Marxist Media who are praising his name to the nether regions which they inhabit. In my estimation either Roberts has chosen to leave the light of Constitutionality and legality–as do all leftists when they discover which side they are truly on–in favor of praise and adulation from the rankest amongst us or the recent bribe was just too large to ignore.
Note: All four dissenting associate justices agreed that Roberts’ decision was illegal, in calling it “vast judicial overreaching.”
Unless Roberts is and has always been a “sleeper leftist” just waiting for his time to strike out (many of us wondered and were very concerned about the formerly secretive meetings between Roberts and Obama as well as members of the Obama syndicate) as a true Marxist against the American people and their country, he may soon learn that when you deal with the devil you choose an inherently unstable and untrustworthy partner.
However, my concern today–as I believe should be the concern of us all–is the unassailable fact that he has legislated (from the highest bench in the land) the transformation of the USA from a Republic to a totalitarian state. Then, laughing at us all, Roberts told an assembly of 300 attorneys and lawyers at what was called a posh Pennsylvania resort “Malta, as you know, is an impregnable island fortress. It seemed like a good idea.” With his apparent vastly increased riches (courtesy of the American taxpayer) Roberts will enjoy his months of vacation on a well-fortified island far from the view and disgust of the Americans he has just sold into slavery. Yep! It appears Obama can even buy sitting US Supreme Court justices. Now, the Judicial branch of the US government has joined the other two in becoming completely lawless and under Marxist-Democrat rule. Roberts is making up new law, instead of good-faith rulings as to constitutionality. And, like his dictator boss, Roberts has also learned how to laugh at us all…with almost a perfect tone of disdain.
One thing left before it’s over, folks, and the last one turns out the last light in the USA…voting. Obama’s practice mobs are already turning against all who oppose or might oppose their leader and more and more reports of roving black mobs are coming in (many with videos) from across the country. I have listed only a few links below but, there are now thousands of articles on this latest Obama-inspired phenomenon. They are trying to intimidate you into staying home and cowering as the Obama Army violence increases. As I’ve stated before, Obama is working tirelessly to start a race war in our country.
Do not be intimidated. If Obama is reelected, the violence will only become more prevalent and severe for us all, as he will have nothing to constrain his employment of his openly brutal methods on US citizens. Obama is already testing his “kill” methods with drones overseas. Those drones are currently being tested for use in the USA.
I have written for years that this was coming. It has now arrived. We have but, one last chance….get rid of them or they will surely get rid of us. In November we must vote in numbers at least double what they were in 2010 to overturn Obama‘s Socialist/burgeoning Nazi empire. Otherwise…we die. May God be with us.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Dissent scolds SCOTUS for “vast judicial overreaching”:

There are two battlefields in the war against Obamacare. There is the political battlefield which gave us Obamacare and there is a second battlefield where Obamacare can be made moot on a state-by-state basis.
The political battlefield requires us to organize and educate the voting public so that in November, we can ‘repeal’ the corrupto-crats who support Obamacare and replace them with politicians who will vote to eliminate it in its entirety.
At the same time, the state battlefield must explore viable solutions to kill Obamacare by making it moot – by showing why it is legally not applicable.
This article will discuss the war waged on the political battlefield and part two will cover the state battlefield.
The lamestream media propaganda machine is in full force and they want people to believe that support for Obamacare is rising. Check out Yahoo!’s home-page headline three days after the Supreme Court decision, “Ruling Boosts Support for Obamacare.” When you click on the link, the Reuters’ title is: “Ruling ups support for Obama healthcare, still unpopular.”
The truth is, a recent Washington Post and ABC News poll finds that only 26% support Obamacare and 67% are opposed to either the entire law or the individual mandate (now called a tax by Chief Coward Roberts).
People are organizing and we must articulate the facts, establish the narrative and spread the truth. FreedomWorks, the Tea Party, 912 groups and others are leading this effort. Educating everyone – especially our youth and our elderly – is crucial and we only have four months in which to do it.
For example, do our elderly know that in 2014, Obamacare cuts $1.05 Trillion from Medicare over the first 10 years and $4.95 Trillion over the first 20 years? (i.e. Obamacare destroys Medicare) Do they know that Obamacare is like the government-run healthcare system in Britain that euthanizes 130,000 elderly people every year? (i.e. Obamacare leads to euthanasia) These are important, compelling and simple facts that our elderly need to know.
Another example… do all Americans know that Medicaid already covers the poor and disabled? Obamacare does not help the poor, but it taxes people who make $9,500 and above. Politicians use “the poor” as pawns to push their agenda; they count on the ignorance of uninformed Americans.
Perhaps our youth can best understand the funding source of Obamacare by its similarity to the mechanism used for Social Security. Stated simply, young people are forced to pay into another government system that they’re not using. It will undoubtedly be bankrupt by the time they need it themselves. Look at Social Security; it will be completely bankrupt in 25 years according to the CBO.
A September 2011 poll found that 71% of the people believe Social Security has major problems (49%), or is in a state of crisis (22%). And when 18 to 35 year-olds were asked if it is accurate to describe the Social Security system as a “monstrous lie” and a “failure,” 42% agreed – the highest percentage of all age groups.
The narrative for our youth may be quite simple… Obamacare is like Social Security; it forces you to pay into a government system that will surely be bankrupt by the time you really need it. It is imperative that Americans know that before Obamacare, people had the right to choose whether or not they wanted to spend their money on healthcare; now everyone is forced by the government to spend their money on it.
Young people keep hearing “free healthcare for all” from the lamestream media and they have been dumbed-down enough not to realize they will be forced to pay for this the rest of their lives if Obamacare stands. And the amount they will be forced to pay far exceeds any expense they may incur for contraceptives.
So we can start spreading the truth right now – today – to inform people and motivate them to register (i.e. activate) and vote against the corrupto-crats who support Obamacare. We know the legislation contains many tyrannical provisions, such as eliminating our 4th Amendment right to privacy, but providing simple phrases that people can relate to is what may open their minds to help them understand the imminent impact of Obamacare on their lives.
The goal on the political battlefield is to have enough elected officials (in Congress and the Presidency) to repeal Obamacare via reconciliation. Recall that reconciliation was the method Democrats used to pass Obamacare – before we booted them out of Congress in 2010 for having foisted this job-killing, liberty-ending, economy-collapsing, healthcare-destroying monstrosity onto the American people. But, as Terresa Monroe-Hamilton correctly points out in her article, “Obama Lies, Taxes Rise”…
“I know the Republicans have sworn to repeal Obamacare, but until conservatives control the Senate and House and have taken back the White House, I don’t see it happening. Even then I have grave doubts because I keep hearing “repeal and replace.” What the hell? Just repeal the damn thing and forget replacing it.”…
“Roberts screwed the pooch on this one, now we have to roll up our sleeves and realize that no branch of our government supports us.”
This is why we must also fight this war on the state battlefield. We must kill Obamacare before it kills us and the war waged on the state battlefield could very well prevent Progressive politicians on both sides of the aisle from ever attempting to take over our healthcare again.
Stay tuned for part two…
The Supreme Court finally ruled on the constitutionality of ObamaCare, with Chief Justice John Roberts apparently switching his vote at the last minute to break with the originalists and conservatives on the Court to uphold the individual mandate as a ‘tax’. The Council and our invited guests weigh in:
Robert Avrech from Seraphic Secret: Massive migraine. Let me add a more serious thought, a d’var Torah:
After King Solomon died, his son Reẖav’am ascended to kingship over Israel. Led by Jerobam, the people begged the new king to lessen the burden of taxes.
The new king declared:
“Whereas my father laid upon you a heavy yoke, so shall I add tenfold thereto. Whereas my father chastised (tortured) you with whips, so shall I chastise you with scorpions. For my littlest finger is thicker than my father’s loins; and your backs, which bent like reeds at my father’s touch, shall break like straws at my own touch.”
In short, more taxes.
The people, led by Jeroboam, rebelled with ten tribes breaking away from the Israelite confederation.
Ultimately this led to the downfall of the First Jewish Commonwealth.
The Noisy Room: After I got over the shock of the ruling, I felt intense anger at being betrayed. Justice Robert’s surely screwed the pooch on this one. He was either threatened or he is a Progressive coward and I think it is the latter. I have listened to others who want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I’m sorry. I just can’t. He knowingly ruled that Obamacare is a tax and that the government has the power to tax which is constitutional. Let’s forget that the 16th Amendment should be repealed for a moment. The Supreme Court just gave the good-to-go nod for Obama to implement the largest tax in American history. One that if put into use will surely break the back of a once great nation. It also gives the government absolute authority to compel just about any action using taxation as a weapon and the IRS as their jack booted thuggish army. How very Atlas Shrugged. How very Marxist.
The only up side is this will energize and motivate conservatives to get out the vote. The Tea Party and constitutional conservatives will not let this pass – it could be that Roberts has just ensured a landslide victory for Romney. We must elect Romney and get control of the Senate, as well as get more Tea Party candidates into the House. If we don’t, America as a free country is over.
Joshuapundit: I find it fascinating that this was such a poorly made law that it actually had to essentially be rewritten to pass muster as a ‘tax’. Except it doesn’t, really, since the Constitution’s quite specific about what kinds of taxes the federal government may levy(capitat or head tax, excise taxes or income taxes, per the 16th Amendment) and this isn’t any of those. Apparently anything now qualifies as a tax, including Michelle Obama’s White House party and vacation tabs.
There’s actually an historical precedent here. Chef Justice Charles Evans Hughes did pretty much the same thing after the 1936 elections, when FDR threatened legislation to pack the Court with 6 more FDR-appointed justices after the Court knocked down some of the more questionable New Deal programs. Hughes and Justice Owen J. Roberts panicked and switched positions, upholding most of the rest of Roosevelt’s agenda and ushered in the beginning of America as Welfare State.
In spite of various rumblings, including a pending repeal vote scheduled for July 11th, this will only be decided at the ballot box this November. Will the American people decide to reaffirm their Republic or will they move along the present path of allowing politicians to manipulate demos (the mob) until the people that really make the country work see the basic structure of the country is in danger? If it gets to that point, they’re going to decide the whole thing was a bad idea and get behind someone on a white horse with some solutions. It took our direct ancestor, the Roman Republic 500 years to get to that point, but then life moves so much faster nowadays. We’ll find out.
The Razor:In a sentence, intellectually satisfying but emotionally unsatisfying. It is intellectually satisfying because as Ann Althouse believes, Obama will pay a price for instituting a huge regressive tax on the working poor and middle class and the Commerce Clause rebuke clips the wings of Congress. But hearing the high-fives on NPR and other liberal media outlets is a punch in the gut. When they are happy I know that something is wrong with the country. It’s a simple bellwether but it works.
Rhymes With Right: I’m not happy with the outcome of the ObamaCare case — and am particularly shocked by the fact that the opinion was written by Chief Justice Roberts. That the main argument against ObamaCare (that it violated the Commerce Clause) had a majority to strike down the statute and yet it still survived under the minor argument that it was a tax — an argument rejected by Democrats both at the time of the program’s passage AND after the decision was announced — is particularly galling.
I believe that there needs to be a petition for rehearing filed the Supreme Court’s Rule 44 noting that the law’s supporters have immediately disavowed the notion that the “penalty” is a form of tax and noting that their argument that it is a tax was therefore a fraud committed upon the court. All it would take is one member of the majority — most likely Chief Justice Roberts — to join the four conservative dissenters in granting that rehearing for the ruling to be reconsidered and overturned, perhaps even before the election.
Maggie from Maggie’s Notebook: I agree with the dissenting Judges Thomas, Kennedy, Scalia and Alito that the opinion that ObamaCare can be read as a tax is “verbal wizardry.” From the dissent, I learned that if the legislation had been written as a tax, which we know it was not, it would have been found in Title IX, rather than Title 1 of the Act where the mandate was located. We know that had Congress voted on a tax, many of the Democrats would have voted ‘nay.’ We know, and the dissenting Judges write, that without certain “quid pro quos,” (like the Cornhusker Kickback and other backroom deals) it would not have passed.
I can see no constitutional principle upheld in the Court’s decision to view something a tax that is clearly not. There was a time in our history when taxes were a privilege, a support of our country that we gladly paid for the liberties this Nation provided. That idea has been out-dated for a very long time now, as politicians have picked our wallets clean. Now our taxes are penalties, and our penalties are taxes.
I have not been convinced of any of the explanations for why Roberts opined as he did, and so I have no opinion, but my best guess is political pressure. If that is true, it’s a very sad day for America when the highest court in the land, and the Chief Justice, can be bought for the price of popularity at D.C. cocktail parties.
Bookworm Room: I’ve already moved beyond the decision. Roberts is either a scoundrel or a chess player, but regardless of his motives, we’re stuck with a decision that says that ObamaCare is a tax and, worse, that indicates that Congress can tax us regardless of what we do or don’t do. This is now the American political reality, so my interest is in the way in which that reality plays out.
I believe that the decision does give the Republicans an advantage in the fall, assuming that they can get enough votes to put them beyond the inevitable ACORN-esque fraud zone. I believe that, if Romney becomes president, he will repeal ObamaCare in its entirety. I also believe that, unless Americans elect genuinely conservative Republicans, rather than the usual crop of RINOs, Romney and Congress will put their collective heads together and visit upon us some new legislation that’s every bit as bad as the old. Conservatives must keep up the pressure, not just on the politicians, but on the educational institutions, the media, and the entertainment industry. This mess took decades to create and will take decades to repair. The one thing we shouldn’t do is despair and retreat, for then we have truly lost.
