The temperature is really rising in both Chicago and Washington, D.C., but not because of the weather.

From nearly every angle The White House and Barack Obama’s reelection campaign appear to be spinning more desperately out of control and into a gravity laden ‘death spiral.’

Cash is “King,” as the old private equity saying goes, and Team Obama lit the fuse on a very expensive campaign apparatus that is much larger, and began much earlier, than is typical for an incumbent president, according to Chris Stirewalt’s Power Play article in FOXNews today.

Even after having spent $68 million in negative attack ads over the past two months, plus $20 million per month for staff, facilities, technology and other campaign infrastructure, at best Obama is still only locked in a ‘dead heat,’ with presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

By having a three-to-one fundraising advantage over Democrat PAC’s, the Romney Super PACs mainly bankrolled the Obama counter-attack ads during that time, while Romney better-managed his campaign to shepherd cash until after the August RNC Convention in Tampa, leaving him free to spend the majority of his time on air and the campaign trail stump.

Now, even though Obama has held more fundraisers than his past five predecessors combined, 131 thus far, his unprecedented fundraising has not kept pace with his unprecedented campaign-spending rate.

And, with Democrat voter enthusiasm at near record lows, small-donor cash has slowed to the point where last month Team Obama had to resort to shameless tactics, like suggesting wedding guests send campaign contributions to them–instead of purchasing wedding gifts.

As a result, The Hill reported that Obama was feverishly adding fundraising events to his schedule after the DNC convention, which along with actually having to show up in the Oval Office once in a while–even if they are just photo ops for the press to run, it is going to seriously handicap him against Romney in the race to November.

However, the outlook gets worse, as several other, unsavory situations created by Barack Obama and his administration that are now beginning to come apart at the seams, to the point where even their accomplices in the mainstream media cannot keep it contained–with the Attorney General Eric Holder and the Obama Department of Justice at the center of it all.

Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI), chairman of the powerful House Intelligence Committee said that [classified information] security leaks are still coming out of the Obama administration, despite an internal probe–with no evidence that President Obama is doing anything about it, according to Catherine Herridge’s FOXNews article yesterday.

We’ve seen more leaks, absolutely. This is an opportunity for the president to be bold, to take a stand–to step up and say … ‘My administration will cooperate fully and that my staff … should not and will not participate in coordinated or uncoordinated leaking of classified information for any reason. It’s a crime.’

A congressional staffer said the White House had not yet responded to a July 12 letter from House Judiciary Committee Chairman, Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX), who told President Obama he’d like to interview seven current and former administration officials who may know something about a spate of national security leaks.

Why such a delay by the President who, while on camera, is so eager to be helpful?

Then, there is the first of three Congressional reports on the botched ATF operation “Fast and Furious,” published by the House Government Oversight and Reform committee chaired by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), and its’ Senate counterpart chaired by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), being released today, according to a FOXNews article today.

The first report specifically identifies the five ATF employees, from the top to the field supervision ranks who, according to language in the report managed this operation that was … “marred by missteps, poor judgments and inherently reckless strategy.”

In the 18 months since the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, where F&F guns were found at the scene and internal ‘whistle-blowers’ forced Eric Holder’s Justice Department to finally investigate their own operating subsidiary–none of the five men in the report have been disciplined or terminated.

Amazingly, they were all ’reassigned’ to ATF headquarters, in Washington, D.C.

Document flow from the DOJ ceased at Holder’s command over a year ago, violating the two Congressional subpoenas from the House committee. As such, the Republican-dominated committee caused a full vote in the House on the matter, making Eric Himpton Holder, Jr., the first U.S. Attorney General–the highest ranking law enforcement officer in the nation–to be held in “Contempt of Congress.”

Many observers believe that the information contained in the withheld documents, is probably very damaging to key people in the highest ranks of the Obama administration.

In fact, the morning of the vote by the full House, President Obama, while out of the country, hastily asserted ‘executive privilege’ over the documents being sought by the Issa and Grassley.

Would one be jumping falsely jumping to a conclusion by that fact?

Not according to a recently released July 23rd federal judge’s order in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch against the DOJ, seeking documents related to any “political influence” resulting in the DOJ capriciously dropping the ‘airtight’ Voter Intimidation charges [litigated by the Bush DOJ] against four New Black Panther members–caught on video, dressed in dark colored uniforms, and swinging night sticks while ‘confronting’ white voters at a polling place in the ‘City of Brotherly Love’–during the November 2008 presidential election.

In the article tomorrow afternoon, we will reveal the exact content of the order, and continue the dissection and analysis of these related scandals–you can’t miss it.
