President Barack Obama seems to be ‘trapped in the burning car‘ of the new Middle East, which was ironically born from his own foreign policy-making kicked off in 2009 during his [so-called] ‘Cairo Speech.’

It is now well known that on the 11th anniversary America’s deadly “9/11” Islamic-extremist attacks, the Obama administration was caught completely ‘flat-footed’ by an explosion of Islamic-led anti-American protests and violence at U.S. embassies in ‘Arab Spring‘ Muslim countries across North Africa, including the 100 man al Qaeda-related terror attack in Libya that killed four Americans, including two ex-Navy Seals.

Three years later, instead of basking in the glory of being the long-awaited ‘great healer,’ Muslim protesters are burning effigies of Obama, while public opinion incinerates his ‘foreign policy’ gravitas–the only expertise polls suggest he ever had over Mitt Romney.

And as the mountain of evidence and legion of critics are growing, just 43 days before the general election, Obama’s decision to not meet with any other world leader during the U.N. General Assembly meeting this week in New York, is starkly obvious and telling–he doesn’t want to give Mitt Romney and Republicans any more ‘fresh red meat’ than they are already getting.

It’s really too late for that as both sides of the media are now on it.

According to Edward Klein (no relation), the former editor of the New York Times Magazine, wrote in a FOXNews opinion article today that when it comes to foreign policy, it’s amateur hour in the White House.

This rank amateurism was on full display in the confusing and contradictory manner with which Obama treated the two most important leaders in the Middle East— Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu of Israel and Mohammed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood president of Egypt.

Klein then referred to his sources in Jerusalem and Washington, who told him the real reason Obama snubbed Netanyahu was political, not diplomatic.

Evidently, they believed that Team Obama thought a meeting with Netanyahu, would then result in the Israeli Prime Minister wanting to appear non-partisan and meet with his long-time friend, Mitt Romney. And the last thing the Chicago gang wanted was ‘side-by-side front-page photos of Bibi’s chilly reception at the White House–contrasted to his warm embrace with Romney.

Then there was the ‘candid’ interview of Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi at his office in Cairo, by David Kirkpatrick and Steven Erlanger in their September 23rd New York Times article, wherein Morsi curtly explained that the United States needed to fundamentally change its approach to the Arab world, to show greater respect for its values and help to build a Palestinian state–if it hoped to overcome decades of pent-up anger.

Morsi was proud of his ‘roots’ in the Muslim Brotherhood, the insular religious revival group that was Mr. Mubarak’s main opposition, but now dominates Egyptian politics.

I grew up with the Muslim Brotherhood,” he said. “I learned my principles in the Muslim Brotherhood. I learned how to love my country with the Muslim Brotherhood. I learned politics with the Brotherhood. I was a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood.

This gave an Islamic fundamentalist foundation to Morsi’s view of the ‘new’ relationship that Egypt would have with the United States:

If you want to judge the performance of the Egyptian people by the standards of German or Chinese or American culture, then there is no room for judgment. When the Egyptians decide something, probably it is not appropriate for the U.S. When the Americans decide something, this, of course, is not appropriate for Egypt.

So now, if you are President Barack Obama–‘the most powerful man in the world’–what is your ‘Plan-B’ in the face of this cascading turmoil in the Middle East, shepherded into existence by your very own foreign policy visions, decisions and actions?

You do what you do best when in New York City–hit the couch on ‘The View‘ with Michelle, and carry on a ‘high brow’ kaffeeklatsch with the girls.
