Hello America. How’s the general feeling around the country today? Well, with the elections out of the way and Obama rushing his socialist “flexibility” through, we do have to be prepared for what’s coming. I thought I would pull back and look towards the philosophy and writings of AYN RAND and her fictional and mythical character JOHN GALT… who is he? What did he represent for AYN RAND? What do you see in JOHN GALT America? What does he mean for you personally? I am rereading ATLAS SHRUGGED as I write this and have watched part 2 at the movies already. I am looking at the current political landscape and I am worried that people have forgotten themselves. Well, at least 51% of them have and with Obama repeating the failed and deadly policies of the third Reich, while the welfare state is not taking notice of this. Let’s look at the legend of JOHN GALT and what AYN RAND thought he brought to the American public.
AYN RAND’S VISION
Ayn Rand’s vision of America through John Galt was an America full of innovation and innovative thinkers and risk takers, as well as business creators. Secondly, she envisioned a “hands off” government that would stay out of the way of innovative Americans and allow for expansion, hiring of a workforce and investing in new technology and research without hindering them through unneeded regulations, crippling taxes and radical interference. But in the 1950s, she noticed that the slow creep of socialism which had started with FDR’S NEW DEAL was expanding ever so swiftly. Being from the Soviet union, she knew what was coming if no one paid attention.
WHO IS JOHN GALT?
The legend of John Galt and Atlantis
John Galt was going around America offering a choice to the most talented and innovative artists, scientists, inventors and business innovators, to come with him to Atlantis and be free to operate their businesses and ideas any way they wanted without interference and very few regulations. These actions caused what was called “halting the engine” and only a few like Dagny Taggart and Hank Rearden noticed something was up, but didn’t put their fingers on it at first.
WHAT JOHN GALT REPRESENTS
JOHN GALT is: Steve Jobs in his garage in 1978 building the first home based computer.
JOHN GALT is: the founder of AVON, offering women a business opportunity in an age where that was frowned on.
JOHN GALT is: the finest and most accomplished artist in music, painting, photography – showing off his works to all without government censors.
JOHN GALT is: an inventor like Benjamin Franklin and his wood burning stove, bi-focal glasses and lightning rod; simple devices that no one takes notice of today, but were instrumental in moving American society forward.
JOHN GALT is: DAVE THOMAS of WENDY’S… an adopted child and an army vet creating a burger chain without frozen burger meat.
You see it now… JOHN GALT is all of us, the average American that refuses to give up and go out and create something wonderful, great and inspiring. Something that moves you and America forward towards independence and liberty without government regulations and interference. If you’re reading this blog and have never heard of AYN RAND or her book ATLAS SHRUGGED, please borrow a copy and read it. It will open your mind and change your thinking like it did me.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Ukip, it’s the conservative wing of British politics. If you want an understanding of the group’s principles, look no further than Nigel Farage, founding member and party leader.
Before I go to the heart of the matter, which is the ability of Hamas to re-establish its supply of Fajr and other long-range missiles…let me provide a clarification:
Had the IDF gone into Gaza last week, it would not have been for one of the operations I described yesterday with regard to re-taking Gaza either partially or in totality.
This had been made very clear: the goal would have been to remove additional rockets that could not be reached by air because of their placement in densely inhabited civilian areas. It was very difficult to witness the intense barrage of rockets that was launched at our civilians immediately prior to the ceasefire and in the hours following, and to know that the IDF would not be taking out those weapons that Hamas still possessed. But if the IDF would have gone in to do this, it would have been a quick operation.
Thus, in retrospect, it is possible to say that perhaps the ground operation in Gaza is better done at a time when Iran is not in the center of the radar screen, and planning has been done towards taking Gaza or maintaining some permanent presence there.
Just a thought, among many thoughts.
News broke today in a number of sources, all citing the Sunday Times (Britain), regarding the fact that Iran has already put missiles intended for Gaza on a ship. Fajr-5 missiles are mentioned, as well as the more powerful Shahab-3 missiles (pictured — a very serious missile), which according to some reports might be headed for Sudan.
The information was picked up by Israel via satellite, and clearly refers to the same Iranian “project” that I wrote about a few days ago.
You can see reference to it, with a descriptions of the machinations that Iran is undertaking to hide the identity of the ship, here:
Mention by name of the Shahab missiles is new in today’s report, as is additional information on what Israel knows. But most important of all, in my opinion, is a quote attributed to an Israeli defense official:
“Regardless of the ceasefire agreement, we will attack and destroy any shipment of arms to Gaza once we have spotted it.”
If this turns out to represent policy and is sustained, it will be huge — just the sort of pre-emptive defensive action that is needed, indeed, essential. For this, we have to wait and see. I assume “spotted” means in real time and not via satellite transmissions.
On the other hand, Aaron Lerner has up on the IMRA site today a brief transcript from a Kol Yisrael radio broadcast of this morning:
“A state source in Jerusalem warns that if Hamas acts to refill its weapons stores that were significantly damaged in Operation Pillar of Defense it will be necessary – sooner or later – to have a stronger operation against it.
“According to the source Israel will not be satisfied with the ‘quiet for quiet’ formula and smuggling will force Israel to act with great force.”
That would be great, says Lerner, except for that inadvertent slip about “sooner or later.”
So it’s anyone’s guess.
According to Ezat Risheq, of the Hamas politburo, the ceasefire agreement does not call for stopping the smuggling of weapons into Gaza. And you know what? As far as I can see, he’s right.
The response, by an Israeli “official” cited in the JPost today, is that at the time of the ceasefire President Obama told Prime Minister Netanyahu that the US “would use the opportunity offered by a ceasefire to intensify efforts to help Israel address its security needs, especially the issue of the smuggling of weapons and explosives into Gaza.”
But let’s look at Obama’s words. We’re hearing a great deal, speculatively, about what Obama is going to do to stop smuggling. And yet, “helping Israel address its security needs” is not exactly a firm and specific commitment to do anything. This seems to me a masterful instance of appearing to say a great deal while actually saying next to nothing.
How much did members of the Israeli government allow themselves to be reassured by these words?
But we’re not done! According to this same official, “it was equally clear” (clear to whom?) that there will be a US-led international effort to combat smuggling.
I see no statement from Obama regarding this, although he may have whispered something in private. But let me tell you what those of us here in Israel who have our heads screwed on properly think of “international efforts” to protect Israel from arms-stockpiling by her enemies:
In 2006, at the (premature) end of the Second Lebanon War between Israel and Hezbollah, Resolution 1701 was passed unanimously by the Security Council, It called for withdrawal of Israel from Lebanese territory and established an enhanced UNIFIL (UN Interim Force in Lebanon), which was supposed to ensure that Hezbollah did not move south of the Litani River (which would mean approaching the border with Israel) and did not re-arm.
UNIFIL is an international force; troops from 20 nations were deployed. But it was not provided with a forceful mandate — it is permitted to operate only under the authority of the Lebanese army. What is more, it proved to be a very timid force, so that I found myself at times sharing reports that it avoided certain areas and that it chose not to operate at night (which is when smuggling occurs).
At any rate, today Hezbollah has strongholds in villages south of the Litani, and has acquired a vast quantity of weapons and rockets as provided by Syria (also carefully stored in civilian areas). It has more, actually, than it had before the Second Lebanon War.
So, spare us!
I was going to share further analysis of the ceasefire document, but have decided not to bother, at least not now. For I suddenly feel as it if is on the edge of being moot.
Egyptian president Morsi, who was lavishly praised by Obama and Clinton as playing a central role in the agreement, not only so far as negotiating it, but sustaining it, is in BIG trouble right now. Having moved to assume sweeping authoritarian powers for himself, he is facing riots by thousands in Tahrir Square and calls for his resignation. That’s Obama’s boy!
If he lasts, it’s questionable whether he will have much patience for matters concerning Gaza.
As a function of this unrest, last night Islamic terrorists destroyed part of a security building in Rafah (which is at the border between Gaza and the Sinai) in a challenge to Egypt’s control over the Sinai.
We’ve could have seen this coming. The Sinai is only nominally part of Egypt. In truth it has been a hotbed of terror groups that Egypt cannot control for some time. These terrorists, as I am reading their actions now, are also responding to the ceasefire and protesting both American embrace of Morsi and any notions of inhibiting or blocking the smuggling of weapons into Gaza.
What we can safely assume is that if Hamas and other terror groups in Gaza are not to build up their arsenal again, then either weapons must be stopped before they reach the Sinai, or Israel must take them out, with all deliberate speed, after they arrive in Gaza.
Neither a US force nor an international force is going to be placed in the Sinai.
The JPost is representing as big news today the fact the PM Netanyahu has told pilots to prepare for the next campaign and reservists that they may be needed again soon. Hey! He’d be very foolish indeed if he didn’t think this way.
The headline says, “PM lacks confidence in Israel-Hamas truce.” Nu?

Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood leader, Morsi, last week played the propagandized diplomat abroad for the masses. He claimed he was the one who created the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas with Hillary Clinton whimpering at his feet. All the while gaining political power and gravitas, which he did not waste upon returning to Egypt. Morsi basically declared himself Pharaoh last week:
But the ink had barely dried on the international paeans before Egypt’s first democratically elected Islamist president made a domestic move replete with ideology.
In a presidential decree announced on state television Thursday afternoon, Morsi stipulated that any challenges to his decrees, laws and decisions were banned.
“The president can issue any decision or measure to protect the revolution,” said the decree, which further stipulated that, “The constitutional declarations, decisions and laws issued by the president are final and not subject to appeal.”
The decree also stated that no court could dissolve the country’s Constituent Assembly, which is drawing up a new Egyptian constitution.
The rewriting of the new constitution has been a controversial issue, with most non-Islamist members quitting the Constituent Assembly – including representatives of the Coptic Christian Church and the April 6 Youth Movement, which played an influential role in the 2011 ouster of former President Hosni Mubarak.
Reacting to the announcement, prominent Egyptian opposition figure Mohamed ElBaradei accused Morsi of usurping authority and becoming a “new pharaoh”.
Morsi declares himself “Pharaoh” – because, hey, the Arab Spring was all about democracy… or something. Democracy has pharaohs, right? And make no mistake, Barack Obama and his minions are in lock step with the Islamic Pharaoh.
Morsi says he is only claiming his new found powers until their new constitution is ratified. Right. Obama, on the other hand, here in the US will be able to now ‘stack’ the Supreme Court which will give him full power over the judicial branch. He already controls the executive and legislative branches. Say it with me – DICTATOR.
While Morsi pretends to call for peace, the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt is calling for Israel’s extermination. Morsi is using diplomatic speak while planning the death of the Little Satan and the rise of the caliphate. The Brotherhood this morning started calling for protests in support of Morsi’s power grab, while judges in the country are calling for strikes against Morsi’s massive power decree. Thousands are protesting in the streets on both sides of the ideological chasm. The Brotherhood wants the death of anyone standing against Morsi. While Obama, Clinton and a host of others continue to snuggle under the sheets with the Muslim Brotherhood, Morsi has become a true despot and is silencing Egyptians in the name of national security. Something to which Obama also subscribes.
While all these power struggles play out in dramatic color in the news, off camera Iran is busily rearming Hamas. The Sunday Times cites an Israeli official who claims Tehran is shipping Fajr-5 rockets through Sudan to the Gaza Strip. There is no real ceasefire. There is a lull for regrouping and then escalated violence and everyone knows it. There is speculation that Iran could be moving longer-range ballistic missiles into Sudan, which could be aimed at Israel from the African country. All of this is in preparation to attack Israel before or after they attack Iran’s nuclear facilities. Islamic terrorists also destroyed part of an Egyptian security building at Rafiah Saturday night, sticking their thumb in the eye of Morsi as a challenge to Egypt’s control in the Sinai. The Jihadists don’t like the ceasefire – they want to get their Jewish genocide going and fast. And when I say Jihadists, I’m including Morsi and the Brotherhood. Russia doesn’t buy the truce either and they have sent ships to Gaza just in case. They are the true puppet masters in all this. Egging on Iran and Hamas, while surreptitiously waiting in the shadows to clean up the spoils of war and claim world power. Who needs Pinky and the Brain?
Pinky: “Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?”
The Brain: “The same thing we do every night, Pinky—try to take over the world!”
Iran was very quick to congratulate Hamas on their victory over Israel – sort of like telling themselves, ‘well done.’ Iran is also whining to the UN (which is controlled by Islamic despots) that the US Navy is guilty of illegal and provocative violations of their airspace etc. All for show.
Morsi’s ascension to dictatorial status caused their stock market to plunge 10%. With a false front stock market here in the US, what do you think will happen as Obama makes his power grabs? The market is built on a sink hole and will vanish in a flash. It will make a depression look like a walk in the park.
The US is now entwined with Egypt. You simply can’t be ‘with’ Egypt and ‘for’ Israel. These are incompatible stances. While America played and slept, the Progressives and the Muslim Brotherhood seized control of our government. Most Americans just don’t seem to realize this yet, but that’s where we are. And just as Morsi is telling his people that his power decree is for their own good, Obama is telling America his executive orders and decrees are for our own good. It’s to keep us safe, don’t ya know.
Good luck finding out if Morsi and Obama traded tyranny in Egypt for a ceasefire in Gaza. We’ll get the answer to that right after we get the situation room report from Benghazigate.
So, while our president is now the ‘BFF’ of the Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi, the implementation of the worldwide caliphate continues right on schedule. Next on the docket, the eradication of Israel. Look at the events of the last few months including Benghazigate. All of it ends in the same result – Islam and global power and control. In an Islamic turn of the worm, the whole Gaza conundrum buys Obama time to let Benghazi die out as a topic.
As the fall of America continues its obvious track under Obama and the Marxists, the Islamic Pharaoh rises. Will a complacent America allow her ‘democratically elected’ tyrant to disarm us and force our submission to the caliphate? Ask yourself, what side will America stand on in the coming world war? We have turned our back on Israel and God. Now we stand in the dark with a nuclear bomb for a night light.
