SAM DONALDSON: The minorities re-elected president Obama, but I’m going with Katty. It’s the Tea Party and thinking of the Tea Party and people like that that are driving the Republicans out of contention as a national party. You cannot win nationally if you don’t know something about the way the country’s changed, and the Tea Party seems to think the country can go back 25 or 30 years. The greatest slogan that I hated during this last campaign was “We want to take back our country.” Guys, it’s not your country anymore – it’s our country and you’re part of it, but that thinking is going to defeat Republicans nationally if they don’t get rid of it.

Look at an electoral map, with the exception of Vermont, California, and Hawaii, there are no blue states, only blue cities. Sam is living in one of those cities and he can’t see beyond his own walls.
I would also like to hear Sam state one policy or idea that the Tea Party has that he doesn’t agree with. (I would want him to be sober when he answers though, just to be fair.).
Sorry, Sam Donaldson – but this has been a shining sovereign Republic — and you and those of your ilk are making certain that it will no longer be a sovereign nation or a free Republic. Just look around you – everything is regressing, decaying, and deteriorating rapidly, and the media is doing everything it can to expedite the destruction of its own country. Soon, America will be as pitiful as Detroit Will you be so proud of yourselves, then? One day, if your eyes ever open – you will be astounded by what you are willingly and foolishly doing today. People welcome change that makes progress – but the change of which you speak is the polar opposite. Millions ‘get it,’ and continue to scratch their heads and wonder why the media can’t seem to see the whole picture. Oh, and by the way …. America remains OUR country, in good times and bad.
I think he has a point when he intended to say the country has always belonged to us all, inclusively, but he misses the point that Tea Partiers make – that our nation is spending itself into oblivion, and that basic rights are being lost. The rights are not granted to us by the Constitution, etc, but are protected by the same.
Our nation is not totally gone, there are still many places left that honor God, our Constitution, integrity, hard work and everything that made America great. Not all of has been either sold to the highest bidder or given away. What we are seeing today is the result of generations of politicans, many who sold their soul and their country for money, power and votes. They knew full well what the end result would be, and….the voters let them get away with it !
Sorry Sam, but that “comb-over part” in your hair is getting awfully deep. Must be causing brain damage.
The MSM keeps talking about how the country’s changed. But has it really changed as much as the echo chamber the media lives in tells them? What’s changed more is how out of step the liberal media, entrenched in New York and Washington DC, is with the rest of the country.
But what’s a bigger shame is that the party leadership of the GOP falls for the same myth the media elites are touting.
