It has been studied by near every think tank of civilized origin. Countermeasures, countermeasures in front of countermeasures, and of course every kind of Intel the mind can think of. You are so very correct. Conventional warfare, to the ever dreaded nukes come at a terribly high cost, moral support and body counts just add to the insanity of the entire concept. Though rarely talked about by the talking heads trying to keep up with their Teleprompters, this topic you bring to the forefront needs additional drummers. Sadly most of the U.S. does not even know what you’re talking about let alone the implications. That is why your article is so paramount. This threat is very real and very hideous. To the victor go the spoils. This very action instigated by any enemy of the U.S. or otherwise is so disabling it is almost without comprehension. For a society to be subjected to such an event would be the equivalent of being thrown back into the 1500’s. In that everything save a few exceptions operate with or through the means of electronics would virtually become toast, useless, the death toll would be unfathomable. Thus the very reason so much time is invested behind the scenes in our attempt to insure such a thing does not happen. However, we know how that story often ends. It would not even be unrealistic for such an event to happen naturally. So in closing with my first response to you this new year, I encourage everyone to not just live life to the fullest, but to learn the skills that would enhance the possibility they could even live. Not to be an alarmist, but prepared and knowledgeable of mechanics, food growing, preservation, etc. I once again find myself amazed at the Grace of God, and the people this wild world allows me to interact with. At the very least, power would be lost in many areas for weeks or months. This would be serious in itself. It is a shame that there appears to not be any appetite to even upgrade and harden the grid as we rush to make it “smarter”. That sounds kind of anti-smart to me.

Because of this risk, it is even more urgent that everyone address their own personal preparedness issues. You cannot share what you do not have. If you prepare wisely, you will be storing things you will use anyway and thus save money as government inflates the currency.
