I’m not disturbed by their having the shooter be “angry parents”. A few years back we had one teacher whose classes were relocated to the school library (right next to the office) after a mother made repeated threats to kill her because she had written up her daughter for calling her a “white b!tch”. One of our assistant principals needed treatment for scratches on his neck after a mother came over his desk and choked him for suspending suspending her son for his part in a fight between classes. And there have been a number of incidents around the country of armed parents showing up at schools to press their case on some issue or another. But then again, what do I know? I’m just a teacher.
