Analyst Says Anti-NSA Campaign Benefits America’s Enemies

By: Cliff Kincaid
Accuracy in Media

(This is a special report from the AIM Center for Investigative Journalism)

Trevor Loudon, the author of a new book on socialist penetration of the Democratic party and the U.S. Congress, says, “Perhaps the most damaging aspect of this entire NSA scandal is the way the U.S. and international left have used the leaks to turn the American right into a battering ram against U.S. military intelligence capabilities. Historically it has always been the far-left that has sought to castrate U.S. government intelligence capabilities—always using ‘civil liberties’ as a lever.”

Loudon is the New Zealand blogger who broke the story of Frank Marshall Davis, the Communist Party member and suspected Soviet espionage agent, who was a mentor for a young Barack Obama during his growing-up years in Hawaii.

His new book, The Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the U.S. Congress, is the much-anticipated follow-up to his first volume, Barack Obama and the Enemies Within.

As someone whose KeyWiki site serves as an authoritative encyclopedia on the left, Loudon has a lot to say about the continuing controversy over NSA leaker Edward Snowden. He gave this columnist his comments on how the story has developed and who is behind it.

“When Edward Snowden first made his revelations,” Loudon notes, “it wasn’t the left who first rushed to his support—it was the right, including Glenn Beck and Michael Savage. It was completely understandable. In the wake of Obama’s IRS and Associated Press scandals, Snowden’s revelations were seized on by many on the right as one more example of President Obama’s tyrannical bent. Hundreds of bloggers, commentators and grass-roots activists sprang immediately to Snowden’s defense, even after it became clear that Snowden was hopping from one enemy-controlled territory to another.”

But Loudon points out that some conservative media personalities, such as Lee Stranahan at Breitbart’s Big Journalism site, analyzed the evidence as it came in, noting that the real motive of those behind Snowden was to “attack the military via the NSA and criticize America’s attempts to defend itself from terrorism…”

Loudon’s new book is being released as the blogger from New Zealand travels throughout the United States on a speaking tour. One of the many members of Congress he analyzes in his excellent book is far-left Democratic Rep. John Conyers (MI), who teamed up with Republican Tea Party Congressman Justin Amash (MI) to sponsor a bill to gut the NSA’s terrorist surveillance powers. The bill almost passed the House.

Loudon says that Rep. Amash, chairman of the House Liberty Caucus, is a patriot whose conservative credentials are beyond question. However, “he should ask himself why an out and out socialist like Conyers would want to limit the powers of the NSA,” Loudon says. “Conyers has a more than 40-year history of collaborating with the Communist Party, and almost as long with the Democratic Socialists of America.”

This association raises “red flags,” he says. Loudon points to how the Communist Party (CPUSA), which was funded by Moscow and engaged in espionage against the U.S. Government, created a front group, the National Committee to Abolish the House Un-American Activities Committee. The House Committee was a target because it had held numerous hearings exposing the activities of the CPUSA and its front groups.

Loudon’s research shows that Frank Wilkinson, who was jailed in 1961 for defying the House Committee on Un-American Activities, was “a vocal foe of the FBI’s supposedly tyrannical and out-of-control Director J. Edgar Hoover.” Wilkinson was in fact a 40-year veteran of the Communist Party USA, an affiliation common to most of his organization’s leading supporters. And it turned out that Wilkinson’s FBI dossier was more than 130,000 pages long.

Loudon comments: “J. Edgar Hoover’s memory has been invoked several times in the current scandal as an example of someone who used government-gathered intelligence to harass and blackmail his personal enemies. As an effective opponent of communist subversion, J. Edgar Hoover suffered a decades’ long campaign of slander and denigration from the left. The fact that Hoover had 130,000 pages of information on a pro-Soviet communist activist, who led a long and successful campaign against one of the country’s most important anti-subversive organizations, proves that information gathering does not necessarily lead to inappropriate use of that information.”

Another figure involved in the anti-FBI campaign was Frank Donner, the former director of the ACLU’s Project on Political Surveillance. Donner’s FBI file, turned over to this columnist, is over 1,500 pages long.

As we have pointed out, Donner worked with the Center for National Security Studies (CNSS), which is now active against the NSA, to undermine the intelligence-gathering capabilities of the U.S. Government. Donner, like Wilkinson, had a lot to hide, since he was a member of the CPUSA who traveled to Russia and had contacts with Russian espionage agents. He wrote several books attacking U.S. intelligence agencies, including the NSA. He especially hated the House Committee on Un-American Activities, which grilled him on his CPUSA activities. He took the Fifth. But Donner had the last laugh, as the committee and its successor, the House Committee on Internal Security, were abolished in the 1970s.

The same forces are now working against the NSA.

It is noteworthy that in 2012, the Soros-funded Open Society Institute (OSI) held one of its panel discussions, “National Security Secrecy and Surveillance: Defending the Public’s Right to Know,” to organize opposition to the NSA. The name of one panelist, Tim Shorrock, rang some bells for me. I had covered his work with CounterSpy, an anti-CIA publication, back in 1983. CounterSpy had exposed Richard Welch as a CIA agent before his murder by terrorists in Greece. Shorrock told me, “Every once in a while, you’re going to release a name of somebody who may be the target for somebody. That’s something that happens when you do investigations.”

At the time, Shorrock told me that he favored the abolition of the CIA, adding, “I don’t think the KGB is a threat.” He also said, “I support a lot of what the Cuban government does.”

In 2009, when we focused critical attention on Glenn Greenwald getting an award named in honor of leftist journalist and identified Soviet agent I.F. Stone, Shorrock came to Greenwald’s defense, recalled my interview of him, and denounced me as “a longtime McCarthyite and deranged right-winger, who has been seeing reds under every bed since he was probably an infant.”

Greenwald, now with the British Guardian, would emerge this year as Edward Snowden’s handler.

Turning his attention to this case, Trevor Loudon notes that reports indicate that in March 2013, when he sought a job with NSA contractor Booz Allen Hamilton at an NSA facility in Hawaii, Snowden presumably signed the required classified-information agreements and would have been well aware of the law and potential penalties for breaching laws regarding the information he would have access to. Nevertheless, Snowden broke these agreements and has been charged with espionage. He has been granted political asylum in Russia.

Before taking the job in Hawaii, Loudon notes, Snowden had already been in contact with Greenwald and filmmaker Laura Poitras, who serve together on the Board of the Freedom of the Press Foundation, a funder of WikiLeaks.

This is a critical point, reflecting the fact that Snowden could not have engaged in espionage without the help of others, including left-wing networks based in the U.S. Accuracy in Media has reported that the Freedom of the Press Foundation “is made possible by the fiscal sponsorship of the Foundation for National Progress,” the publisher of Mother Jones magazine, which is backed by several prominent liberal foundations, including the Open Society Institute of billionaire George Soros.

Loudon noted statements Greenwald delivered at an international communist conference, including that “the only thing that can truly strengthen America’s national security is a weakening of America.” Loudon responded that “He openly wants to see America weakened militarily. What better way to weaken America militarily, to the advantage of Islamic terrorism, than to weaken or destroy the NSA?”

Loudon, who broke the story of former White House official Van Jones’ Marxist background, says many left-wing groups backing Edward Snowden have one thing in common—they hate and distrust America. “Many of them have ties to Marxist or anti-American groups,” he says. “Some are linked to international communist fronts. Several are tied to hostile foreign regimes. Their agenda in most cases is to weaken America’s defenses. Attacking and weakening the NSA would be cheered on by America’s enemies all over the globe.”

“The United States has always had its enemies in Congress and the media,” says Loudon. “What is of most concern is that millions of American patriots, motivated by genuine constitutional concerns, have been turned into attack dogs against one of their few remaining effective means of national defense. America’s enemies must be laughing uproariously over this. Political influence on NSA, if any, should indeed be questioned. The constitutionality of its methodology should be debated. But Americans need to turn their guns on those who would gut the NSA, not those would defend it.”

The outcome of the Bradley Manning case sheds light on the nature of WikiLeaks and its collaborators. Manning, a former Army intelligence analyst, was convicted in July of espionage for stealing and leaking classified information to WikiLeaks, and has now apologized for damaging America’s national security. “I am sorry that my actions hurt people,” he said. “I’m sorry that they hurt the United States.”

Manning had supporters on the left and right, including former Congressman Ron Paul, who called him a “hero.” A left-wing group that includes Jeff Cohen and Norman Solomon has proposed that Manning receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

Cohen, a professor of journalism at Ithaca College, is the head of the institute that gave that award named after Soviet agent of influence I.F. Stone to Glenn Greenwald. Solomon, who unsuccessfully ran for Congress as a Democrat, was endorsed in that run by Greenwald.

Greenwald endorsed Rep. Rush Holt in New Jersey’s special Senate Democratic primary election on August 13th, and even appeared on Holt’s behalf in an online town hall meeting. But Holt came in third, with only 17 percent of the vote, getting trounced by Cory Booker.

Still, as Loudon’s nearly 700-page book demonstrates, the Marxists have a strong presence in the Democratic Party. His detailed account of “Communists, socialists and progressives in the U.S. Congress” is the work of an investigative reporter covering the stories that are just ready and waiting to be exposed by the U.S. media.

The irony is that a blogger from New Zealand has to do the job for us.

Couple Arrested On Blasphemous Text Message Charge

By: ICLA Admin
ICLA

A disabled Christian man, Shafaqat Emmanuel, and his wife Shagufta Kausar were arrested in Pakistan’s Punjab Province on suspicion of sending a blasphemous text message. It is quite remarkable that blasphemy is something that a person can even be accused of in the twenty-first century!

It has been reported that disabled Shafaqat Emmanuel was in fact tortured by the police in front of his family. In typical medieval tradition the torture was reported to have been accompanied by the extraction of a false confession. However, he only “broke” when the officials threatened to start torturing his wife. Who would not admit to false charges under such conditions?

Such legal abuse is always a possibility in any jurisdiction where the law is influenced by sharia principles. Equality before the law does not exist under sharia and no meaningful human rights can exist. If anything sharia exacerbates community tensions. Under sharia Christians are second class citizens and this case illustrates that Christians have this status in Pakistan. This case is yet another example of why it is important to oppose sharia. How many more lives have to be blighted by sharia before the dangers that it poses are understood by world leaders, particularly by Western leaders? Western leaders should stop pandering to the sharia lobby both at home and abroad.

Obamacare: A High Speed Train Wreck

By: Roger Aronoff
Accuracy in Media

On the August 14 “Morning Joe” show on MSNBC, a commentator and a congressman perpetuated the myth that Republicans in the House of Representatives have voted more than 40 times to repeal Obamacare. In fact, the House has made 37 votes related to Obamacare, but only a fraction of those votes pushed for a full-scale repeal of the law. Others instead made substantive changes to various aspects of the law.

“What we’ve done over 40 times in the House of Representatives is just vote to abolish the bill!” proclaimed Representative Gregory Meeks (D-NY) on “Morning Joe.” “We haven’t talked about problems and we haven’t talked about how we fix problems that may be there. The only thing we’ve talked about and the only votes that come in is to get rid of the bill!” (Remember when “Meet the Press’s” David Gregory criticized Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for calling Obamacare a bill, instead of a law? Meeks called it a “bill” five times.)

Brian Shactman, one of the MSNBC commentators, agreed with Meeks, and said that “there are very few people at this table that would disagree that voting 40 times to repeal it doesn’t help anybody.”

But the Republicans haven’t voted 40 times to repeal Obamacare. Some votes were very targeted to improve on or defund certain segments of the law. In his Fact Checker article last month, Glenn Kessler of The Washington Post said that Senator Harry Reid’s (D-NV) claim, which was similar, “comes close to Three Pinocchios, but not quite.” He ended up giving him two Pinocchios. (Reid, by the way, along with Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT), called Obamacare, in its present form, a “train wreck.” Kessler didn’t rate Reid on that, but that was deserving of no Pinocchios.)

Kessler outlined at least eight votes (of the 37) that “were actually successful, in that the bills also passed the Senate and were signed into law by President Obama.” This refutes the assertion that Republicans haven’t sat down with Democrats to work on aspects of the law.

For example, the House initiated the Comprehensive 1099 Taxpayer Protection and Repayment of Exchange Subsidy Overpayments Act, which repealed the Form 1099 reporting requirements that were used to help finance the health law. That was signed into law by President Obama, as was The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2012, which “rescinded $400 million in CO-OP funds and $10 million in funds for the Independent Patient Advisory Board (IPAB),” cut the “IRS’s enforcement budget,” and “tightened restrictions on using federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention grant money for lobbying purposes,” according to Kessler. These and other changes, according to the Post’s Sarah Kliff, have “changed the way income gets counted under the Affordable Care Act” and “cut off funding to a program that was meant to fund new, nonprofit health plans in all states.”

“These are actual changes to the Affordable Care Act which have not dismantled the law but have certainly affected what the final product will look like,” wrote Kliff back in May.

Rep. Meeks made a point similar to the one that President Obama made at his press conference on August 9th: “Why it is my friends in the other party have made it their mission to prevent these people from getting healthcare?” said Obama. “The idea that you would shut down the government unless 30 million people don’t get healthcare is a bad idea.” The problem with that is that according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), which is the generally agreed upon authority on these matters, after the first decade of Obamacare, there will still be 30 million people uninsured.

As insurance premiums have skyrocketed in most states, and more and more doctors have withdrawn from the system, it has become clear that the right to buy insurance is vastly different than being able to afford insurance, or having timely access to quality healthcare even with that insurance.

Regardless of one’s support for the law, the rollout of Obamacare has been plagued with many problems, prompting some to wonder whether the law will suffer death by a thousand cuts.

Shactman asked on “Morning Joe,” “But these delays…three major ones, I believe. Is there an existential problem here?…Are we looking at…delaying it because we don’t have a solution?”

Two of these delays include the employer mandate, by a year, and, as recently revealed by The New York Times, the fact that the limits on out-of-pocket costs provision will be delayed by another year as well.

The latest in the saga—that the limits on out-of-pocket costs will be postponed—seems to be an attempt to avoid the skyrocketing premiums. “But the move will also help prevent more rate shocks,” writes Fox News. “Insurance premiums are set to rise precipitously next year as insurers are required to begin accepting patients with pre-existing conditions.”

“The grace period has been outlined on the Labor Department’s website since February, but was obscured in a maze of legal and bureaucratic language that went largely unnoticed,” reported The New York Times. “But federal officials said that many insurers and employers needed more time to comply because they used separate companies to help administer major medical coverage and drug benefits, with separate limits on out-of-pocket costs.”

Similarly, Mark Mazur, Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy, cited difficulties in the business community as the reason for delaying the employer mandate. “We have heard concerns about the complexity of the requirements and the need for more time to implement them effectively,” he wrote. The announcement was made right before the July 4th weekend.

So, the first aforementioned change was buried in bureaucratic language and the second was announced when people were going on vacation. Do we notice a pattern?

Some analysts believe that the employer mandate was delayed by a year in order to move the inevitable cut to employment past the mid-term elections. “NBC News spoke with almost 20 small businesses and other entities from Maine to California, and almost all said that because of the new law they’d be cutting back hours for some employees—an unintended consequence of the new law,” reported NBC News this week. “Congressional elections will take place in November of next year, and the delay [in the employer mandate] potentially shields Democratic candidates from a backlash generated by the additional regulations on employers,” reported Bloomberg last month.

Never mind that the President may not have the authority to do this much by executive fiat. “Tuesday’s revelation that the White House had granted a similar delay is confirmation that it knows, though will never publicly admit, that Obamacare is hopelessly flawed,” writes Investor’s Business Daily. “Well-constructed legislation does not need to be continuously ‘amended’ by executive fiat.”

Add to this the revelation that charitable hospitals will need to, under Obamacare, submit paperwork every three years establishing that there is “continuing need” for their non-profit status—as defined by the government. And, according to a new poll, 92.3% of federal workers would like to stay with their current health plan; only 2.8% believe that they should be required to join the Obamacare exchanges.

With negative effects like these, it is not surprising that some Republicans and conservatives believe the law poses an existential threat large enough to justify the possibility of a government shutdown if it is not defunded. However, others in the GOP who also want to see Obamacare repealed are concerned that defunding won’t succeed, that Republicans would be blamed for shutting down the government, and would pay the price in the next elections. They are “undoubtedly against a shutdown and many of them are becoming more vocal about it.” CNN calls it “GOP’s Obamacare dilemma.”

But it is not just Republicans who don’t like what they see of Obamacare. It is worth another look, or a first look if you missed it last month, at the letter from three top labor union leaders, including James Hoffa of the Teamsters. Here is a sampling from their letter, addressed to Sen. Harry Reid and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the top Democrat in both the Senate and the House:

“When you and the President sought our support for the Affordable Care Act (ACA), you pledged that if we liked the health plans we have now, we could keep them. Sadly, that promise is under threat. Right now, unless you and the Obama Administration enact an equitable fix, the ACA will shatter not only our hard-earned health benefits, but destroy the foundation of the 40 hour work week that is the backbone of the American middle class.”

“As you both know first-hand, our persuasive arguments have been disregarded and met with a stone wall by the White House and the pertinent agencies.”

“Time is running out: Congress wrote this law; we voted for you. We have a problem; you need to fix it. The unintended consequences of the ACA are severe. Perverse incentives are already creating nightmare scenarios.”

While the unions were “met with a stone wall,” Congress did receive an Obamacare waiver that is not sitting well with the folks back home. There are a lot of ways this fiasco can play out, and none of them are pretty.

US Government Overthrown, Police State Explodes: Solidification of the Obama Dictatorship, Part II

By: Sher Zieve
Gulag Bound

Never in the history of the USA has it been in so much trouble as it finds itself today. There is neither point nor gain in attempting to soft-soap anyone about this. Its demise now seems imminent, as no one is doing anything to stop the now proven-to-be criminal and would-be POTUS illegally occupying what was once–but is no more–our White House. The end of America as the world’s “shining city on a hill” is in its final stage of demolition. No one cares to stop its murder. So, the United States of America will die.

The Obama syndicate, in partnership with the N.W.O., is working hard to keep us on edge–every hour of every day–so that we will be distracted and not see the desolation he is creating in front of us. Dictator-in-Chief Obama, however, remains apart from these issues and–instead–recently had an “all boys” weekend of golfing and who knows what else to celebrate his birthday at Camp David and also begins another round of vacations away from Washington D.C. As with all other dictators before him, this is Obama’s nature…to play hard with other people’s money and lives while he works to destroy those same people. The destruction of the USA is not simply the end of a country. It is, instead, the end of a civilization.

Obama's Oath of Office Redux

Obama’s Oath of Office Redux, 2008

US Constitution Officially Overthrown by Obama, the US Congress and SCOTUS

Last week, Congress met behind closed doors–as it always does now when going against we-the-people–to beg Dictator-in-Chief Obama to fund them (with subsidies paid for by US taxpayer money) and their staffs for the ObamaCare horror they passed and forced upon the rest of us; an ever-shrinking American population. Ever-shrinking as Obama is illegally and unilaterally changing this “law” to meet the desires of his political buddies, donors and supplicants in general. Eventually, there will only be a few of us left who will have the unmanageable burden of paying for everyone else. With this action, Congress unequivocally recognized Obama as Dictator of the USA. How? Please allow me to explain.

The Executive Branch has no authority–whatsoever–to make laws of any kind. That is Congress’ sole authority. (Note: SCOTUS CJ John Roberts had no authority to change [rewrite] ObamaCare’s provision of fees to taxes when he decided he would rule it constitutional…which it is not…he also unilaterally and illegally rendered the US Constitution null and void.) Congress has now illegally ceded a huge portion of its power to make law to Dictator Obama. That makes his dictator title official.

The US government is now–and has been since the Obama Syndicate took over the country–totally and completely lawless. In actual fact, the sitting “US government” has rendered itself null and void due to its illegal and criminal actions. Thus, it and its members have no more legal authority–whatsoever–to govern over anyone or anything in this country. Via their actions, all three branches of the US government have–effectively–overthrown the government “of the people, by the people and for the people” and committed the highest treason possible. In other words, there is no more operating and legal US government with any moral, ethical or legal authority in place.

Obama Police State Expands by Leaps and Bounds

There are so many of these–with more occurring every day–that it seems prudent to list them with a brief summary, only. Source references are provided and follow this column for a more thorough view of each.

1. On 3 August, 2013, in California the California Highway Patrol and Caltrans were used to illegally intimidate and forcibly shut down a peaceful free speech protest against Dictator Obama’s policies for illegal immigration and amnesty

2. The TSA has been expanded and has, apparently, now been given full (SWAT) police powers by the Obama syndicate to patrol any event or area Obama chooses…for whatever reason the dictator chooses. On 5 August 2013, the New York Times’ Ron Nixon wrote: “Transportation Security Administration’s Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response squads — VIPR teams for short — assigned to perform random security sweeps to prevent terrorist attacks at transportation hubs across the United States.” The TSA has formally been added to the Obama Gestapo

3. DHS has removed US Constitutional protections for US Citizens with its new “Constitution Free Zones”

4. NSA covers up another illegal program against US citizens. On 5 August 2013 Reuters’ John Shiffman writes: “I have never heard of anything like this at all,” said Nancy Gertner, a Harvard Law School professor who served as a federal judge from 1994 to 2011. Gertner and other legal experts said the programme sounds more troubling than recent disclosures that the National Security Agency has been collecting domestic phone records. The NSA effort is geared toward stopping terrorists; the DEA programme targets common criminals, primarily drug dealers.

“It is one thing to create special rules for national security,” Gertner said. “Ordinary crime is entirely different. It sounds like they are phonying up investigations.”

Police-Times-photo

5. On 14 August 2013, it was announced that ObamaCare will allow “forced home inspections” (aka ObamaGov home invasions) for virtually any reason including, but not limited to, tobacco usage, Families where mom is not yet 21, Families where children have low student achievement, developmental delays or disabilities and Families with individuals who are serving or formerly served in the armed forces, including such families that have members of the armed forces who have had multiple deployments outside the United States. This activity was also employed in Nazi Germany, in order for the Fuehrer to rid himself of his opposition and “undesirables”

Please look at the above dates. All of these actions by the dictator and his minions have been within the last two weeks! There awe so many it’s becoming staggering. But, that’s the plan. And, as still no one is stopping the now fully-rogue US Government, Obama’s plan is working VERY well. We need a counter plan.

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever Thou goest.“

The Council Has Spoken!! This Week’s Watcher’s Council Results – 08/16/13

The Watcher’s Council

The People’s Cube

We are all rodeo clowns now… This week’s results are dedicated to Tuffy Gessling. It figures a clown would have the stones to do and say what the rest of us only think.

The Washington Times: Support rodeo clown Tuffy Gessling’ soars on Facebook

Alea iacta est… the Council has spoken, the votes have been cast and we have the results for this week’s Watcher’s Council match-up.

“A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation.”
Ronald Reagan

“The happy and powerful do not go into exile, and there are no surer guarantees of equality among men than poverty and misfortune.”
Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America

“Illegal immigrants are to immigration what shoplifters are to shopping.”
Jerry Agar

This week’s winner, The Noisy Room’s Capsizing the Republic – Cloward and Piven on the Southern Border, is a look at the illegal immigration issue from an interesting standpoint – as a tool of a Cloward-Piven strategy to destroy the American Republic.

Here’s a slice:

Glenn Beck pointed out last week that we, as a nation, are being ruled by 535 people in the Congress – 535 politicians are forcing 350 million into accepting Amnesty and the majority don’t want it. Why are we letting this happen? When will enough be enough and we stop the insanity? Essentially, they are erasing our borders and overwhelming our Republic with illegal aliens. It’s an invasion that is being invited in by treasonous individuals on both sides of the political aisle who stand to gain from the destruction of America, the plundering and redistribution of our resources, and the subjugation of the freest society the world has ever known. Why would they do it? The answer is as old as time itself: money and power.

In a clever plan that was communist in its inception and by its design, the Cloward and Piven Strategy has been used successfully in regards to Amnesty. David Horowitz of Discover the Networks defined it succinctly:

The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

And that is exactly what Amnesty will do and in fact, is already doing here in America. Now, due to a loophole, a literal flood of so-called “asylum seekers” are surging across the border, overwhelming the border authorities, while using predetermined code words that will get them protection here in the US:

And this has been on the rise recently. From Gateway Pundit:

A loophole is allowing hundreds of immigrants across the Mexico border in to the United States.

Immigrants are being taught to use “key words and phrases” to be allowed to enter and stay in the country.

Just this past Monday, Border Patrol agents say about 200 people came through the Otay Crossing claiming a quote: “credible fear” of the drug cartels.

So many were doing this that they had to close down the processing center and move the overflow by vans to another station.

“They are being told if they come across the border, when they come up to the border and they say certain words, they will be allowed into the country,” said a person who did not want to be identified on camera. “We are being overwhelmed.”

Pete Nunez, former U.S. Attorney and immigration expert says, “This will swamp the system.”

In our non-Council category, the winner was Mark Steyn with Know Thine Enemy submitted by The Noisy Room. It’s Steyn at his best examining the Major Nidal Hassan military trial and what it says about the state of our western society. Do read it.

Okay, here are this week’s full results. Only The Mellow Jihadi was unable to vote this week, but was not subject to the usual 2/3 vote penalty:
