T F Stern’s Rantings

The news media has reported the death of Nelson Mandela, (1918 – 2013) . According to representatives of the ANC, Mandela’s passing caused the sun to pause in its trek across the skies of Africa for fifteen minutes and a new star has been seen in the East; well, perhaps that’s a bit of an exaggeration. What they actually published:

“The large baobab tree has fallen, but its roots will nourish the soil forever,”

Mandela pushed long and hard for a communist take over of the white minority controlled apartheid government in South Africa using brutal tactics, tactics which have been glossed over as necessary for the good of his fellow man. FoxNews reported, and it comes as no surprise, that fellow tyrants from around the world joined in praises to one of their heroes. Barrack Obama included his two cents worth, or if your from Zimbabwe, his twenty five million dollars worth.

“In Washington, President Obama called him one of the “most influential, courageous and profoundly good” people to ever have lived.

“He achieved more than could be expected of any man,” an emotional Obama said, in remarks from the White House, adding: “He belongs to the ages.”’

Most high school students had Shakespeare’s, Julius Caesar, as required reading. I wasn’t what you’d call a ‘good student’; but found this particular assignment rather enjoyable. Marc Anthony’s pointed reminders to those responsible for Caesar’s murder made for some serious book time.

“For Brutus is an honorable man;
So are they all, all honorable men”

I won’t fill the page with the rest; but go read this masterpiece of finger pointing. Its can be used to identify today’s heroes, today’s villains and ‘Marc” them for what they truly are.

You won’t find too many people talking about Nelson Mandela’s past “indiscretions”. What you’ll find are plenty of folks telling us that the end justifies the means; and after all, it’s not what he did when he was a young murdering thug that we should remember, it’s all the good he achieved once he came to power.

You could bet the farm most publicly schooled individuals are not familiar with the term “necklacing” or the recorded fact that the ANC, to include Nelson Mandela, used this form of terrorism and torture to bring about their communist takeover of the white minority controlled South African government.

While making South Africa a better place for Black people, Mandela and the ANC would take a young black person who wouldn’t “toe the line” or support their radical agenda, tie his hands and feet with wire, place a tire filled with gasoline around his neck and set him ablaze as a warning to others. And you thought the SEIU could intimidate folks; but they are just now getting started.

This is the legacy of Nelson Mandela you won’t hear about today. It’s water under the bridge that won’t be printed in any Common Core textbooks, you can be sure of that. Mandela supported everything our current crop of communists support. So when you hear politicians from around the world and their lap dog media lauding Mandela as a hero, a hero worthy of eternal praise, consider Marc Anthony’s remarks as a footnote.

“For Mandela was an honorable man;
So are they all, all honorable men”
