  2. During the cold war, I happened to be one day in a major city in a communist country. I came upon a group of young adults standing outside a building sniffing the air. I asked them what they were doing. They said they were smelling the meat which was being cooked in the restaurant. They couldn’t go into the restaurant – it was only for the party elite. No meat was available for them to buy, so they had to settle for smelling it when it was cooked for others.
    That is life in the communist countries, Folks.
