Accuracy in Media

AIM Editor Roger Aronoff was a guest last week on The Tami Jackson Show to talk about Aronoff’s recent column “More Evidence of Clinton Corruption Yields Little Interest from the Media.”

While the FBI continues its twin investigations into Hillary Clinton’s conflicts of interest at the State Department and transmission of classified information on her homebrew server, the Obama administration and the mainstream media continue to work to minimize the controversy and ensure that Mrs. Clinton is elected president. Most of all, the media have refused to admit that this is more than just a Hillary Clinton scandal.

“And Obama, part of the reason they won’t indict is because he sent her a number of emails,” said Aronoff on the radio show.  “And so he knew what was going on—or if he didn’t he should have. And this is not just a Hillary scandal, [it] is an Obama administration scandal. But the media won’t ever go there.”

“They just want to help her coronation to become president, and therefore they’re willing to overlook really massive amounts of evidence,” said Aronoff.

Mrs. Clinton has told innumerable lies about her homebrew server, not the least of which is her assertion that other secretaries of state have done the same thing. “For instance, when she talks about—she says, ‘Well, everybody did what I did.’ Well no, nobody did what you did,” argues Aronoff. “Condoleezza [Rice] rarely used it [email]. [Colin] Powell, yeah, he may have had a private email account, separate account, but he didn’t have a private server where he did his government business.”

In reality, Mrs. Clinton used a private email server that was, most likely, hacked by many hostile foreign governments. “I mean it was unsecured, very probably, and a lot of people involved in government are saying this, the Russians, the Chinese, the North Koreans, the Iranians, have probably read all or most of her emails for all these years,” said Aronoff.

Aronoff argued on the show that part of the Clinton corruption stems from the fact that this family believes they can get away with anything. But the Benghazi scandal proved too big a dereliction of duty to overlook. “I think a big part of what did bring this to light was Benghazi,” said Aronoff. It was one week after theCitizens’ Commission on Benghazi put out their interim report that Boehner finally switched and decided to call for a Select Committee, he said.

Others, such as Peter Schweizer, author of Clinton Cash, have worked to expose the possible pay-for-play that brings together the Clinton Foundation, the Clintons, and the State Department under Hillary. For example, Laureate International Universities hired Bill Clinton as an honorary chancellor, and big money started flowing to Bill Clinton, and from the State Department.

“I cite one example…of a company called Laureate International Universities, which was a company that the man who owned it also had a non-profit that was doing business with the State Department,” said Aronoff. “And he was trying to get grants, and, so all of a sudden, the money started flowing: Bill Clinton got $16 million dollars paid by this company, the private company. And then tens of millions—by one account over a hundred million dollars in USAID money—went to this guy’s non-profit.”

“And this came out in Peter Schweizer’s great book, Clinton Cash, and as soon as it came out Clinton resigned from being on that board of that Laureate International [Universities],” said Aronoff.

Clearly, the lies of the Clintons cannot stand sunlight. But the question remains whether FBI Director James Comey will be allowed to shed that light on the Clintons.

“Well, a lot of people believe a grand jury has already been empaneled. If not, it’s going to be very soon,” said Aronoff.

The outcome of that investigation, and Comey’s response to administration stonewalling, will demonstrate whether the impartiality of the law continues to have meaning in the United States.
