Hell To Pay

The 1999 book, Hell to Pay: The Unfolding story of Hillary Rodham Clinton, asked, “Will there be another President Clinton?” The question has become front and center 17 years later, as the current presidential campaign unfolds. The author, Barbara Olson, who also wrote the follow-up, The Final Days: The Last Desperate Abuses of Power by the Clinton White House, was the lawyer and conservative commentator who was murdered by Islamic terrorists when the aircraft she was on, American Airlines Flight 77, was hijacked and flown into the Pentagon in the September 11, 2001, attacks. The crash killed 125 people on the ground and another 64 passengers and crew.

These two books are absolute must-reads in order to understand the power-driven Bill and Hillary Clinton relationship. Olson provides the best account of Hillary’s emergence as a “budding Leninist” who studied Saul Alinsky and “understood the Leninist concept of acquiring, accumulating and maintaining political power at any cost.” Her work went into our own August 2003 AIM Report, “Hillary Clinton’s Biggest Cover-Ups.”
