High potency marijuana not only can cause mental illness but is responsible for birth defects, low birth weights for babies, more emergency room visits, violence, and an increasing number of school problems. Cases of “scromiting,” or screaming while vomiting, has been linked to marijuana use. Drug policy expert David G. Evans examines how Obama backer George Soros, main funder of the legalization of drug legalization movement, is in business with Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner, and how they are working with libertarian billionaire marijuana investor Peter Thiel to pass a bill to protect the dope industry from federal anti-drug laws. Signing the bill would be the worst mistake of the Trump presidency.
THIS ARTICLE IS TOTAL BALONEY!!!! UNEDUCATED, AND MORE LIKE 1950’S PROPAGANDA! THE CANCER BIG PHARMA CULTS, ALCOHOL/TOBACCO, AND HEARST PAPER COMPANIES STILL CONTROL THE OPINION. ITS A SHAME TERESA U DIDNT BOTHER TO EDUCATE / RESEARCH FACTS!!! INSTEAD OF PARROT THE LIES AND PROPAGANDA.
Anything they do with the substance should be better regulated than their attempts to control “Medical Marijuana.” The existing laws are inconsistently applied resulting in jail for minor violations and completely forgiving major offenses. I served on a committee when they were trying to pass to original law and predicted as much.
Two separate Insurance studies performed outside the US found:
(1) Those high on marijuana were worse drivers than those who were legally drunk at the limit.
(2) The impairment lasted long on marijuana than it did on alcohol, and most troubling
(3) Those on marijuana believed they were driving better after smoking it.
In Colorado, after they passed the law legalizing it auto accidents were up over 60% and car insurance rates were set to go up 50%. My cousin who lives and works in Colorado said workers’ comp claims also skyrocketed because apparently, people who believe drinkers should be fired, think that smoking pot should be allowed like other smoke breaks.
People who smoke marijuana, medically or recreationally, are 70% more likely to become addicted to prescription pain relievers. Police I have worked with tell me they frequently tie auto accidents to alcohol because it is so easy to convict on those charges even though they know drugs are involved. I know more “I luv u mon” drinkers than I do violent ones. I was also surprised at the PTSD group at the VA by the number of people who became violent after marijuana use. My nephew says he can’t wait to get pulled over so he can blow marijuana smoke in the cops face. If you can not drive while drinking you should not be able to smoke while driving either. IQ levels for marijuana users are lower than average but further testing is needed to determine if lower IQ become users or use causes lower IQs.
Those who smoke marijuana say that relief starts with the first toke. That means that impairment starts with the first toke. Drunken behavior doesn’t start with the first swallow. Yet they want to eliminate all drivers after the first sip. The argument has been made that marijuana is “medical” and should be allowed based on the individual tolerances of the user. Alcohol was used medicinally for over 3000 years.
