This Latino Marine Veteran’s Life’s Work Destroyed By Zuckerberg’s Censorship Agenda

By: Faye Higbee | Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children

You are probably wondering, where’s your favorite Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children Facebook page? One of the largest Veteran-owned patriotic brands and Facebook Pages was censored by Zuckerberg and the silence is deafening from well known Conservatives. That’s right, Facebook took down our 2.2 million follower page. It is owned by Latino Marine Veteran Rick Ferran, also known as “Tank”- a nickname given to him by his followers.

Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children

If you understood the amount of time, money, and heart invested in the creation of Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children, you would only begin to feel what Rick and his team have felt over the years. Is Rick perfect? No. Is he a great American – absolutely yes. As a single father who tries valiantly to provide for his daughter, Facebook has taken away his livelihood and ability to provide for her.

He has invested his entire life, all of his hard-earned money, and his heart into creating the patriotic clothing brand known as Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children.

Resettle with Caution: Hidden Costs to Social Programs

By: James Simpson | Capital Research Center

Resettle with Caution (complete series)
National Security Concerns State and Local Obstacles | Hidden Costs to Social Programs

[Editor’s Note: This is the second part of an in-depth investigation into America’s refugee resettlement program. You can read the first part here.]

Summary: A vast network of foundations, non-profits, government entities, and political organizations have a vested interest in the continued growth of the resettlement of refugees in America. Because they receive billions of dollars in federal grant money, publicly-financed, tax-exempt organizations have significant incentives to support political candidates and parties that will keep these programs alive. These organizations need to be thoroughly audited and the current network of public/private immigrant advocacy and resettlement organizations needs to be completely overhauled. Resettling refugees should be a voluntary, genuinely charitable activity, removing all the perverse incentives government funding creates.

Welfare and Other Costs

Refugee populations impose huge fiscal burdens on federal, state, and local governments beyond direct program costs. Costs include translation services, English as a second language classes in local schools, overburdened public housing, crime, and even terrorism.

When the 1980 Refugee Act was first passed, the federal government promised to cover 36 months of the states’ share of food stamps, Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF – the federal government’s primary cash assistance program), Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA), and Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA) provided to resettled refugees—a huge subsidy. Today it covers only 8 months of RCA and RMA and no other state costs. Refugees rely heavily on local assistance, school budgets, costs for translation, and other services. These costs have exploded. Following is a sampling of problems in many U.S. communities:

Wilson Fish States

Currently, sixteen states and San Diego County, California, have quit the refugee resettlement program. This does not mean the program ends, however; it just means that the state now has lost whatever control over the program it ever had. A controversial alternative program appoints a VOLAG to take over management when the state drops out. Such states are referred to as Wilson-Fish states, based on a 1984 law named for the legislation’s congressional authors. The law called for alternative methods to provide welfare to refugees but never anticipated assigning VOLAGs oversight of state programs. The program was manufactured from whole cloth by HHS regulation during the Clinton administration. Recent state dropouts include Maine, Kansas, New Jersey, and Texas. These states dropped out in protest over the federal government’s unresponsiveness to terrorism concerns. However, this did not help the states.

Resettle with Caution: National Security Concerns

By: James Simpson | Capital Research Center

The Gillard Government made a commitment in 2010 to release all children from immigration detention by June 2011, but still, 1000 children languish in the harsh environment of immigration camps around Australia. The Refugee Action Collective organized a protest on July 9, 2011, outside the Melbourne Immigration Transit accommodation which is used for the detention of unaccompanied minors.

The Red-Green Axis

One meaningful trade-off that the U.S. faces (and indeed, other countries grappling with the issue of rising refugee migration), is weighing national safety against potential terrorist activities. There is evidence that emigrating Muslims (which represent the fastest growing religious group in the world, according to Pew Research Center) strongly favor making Islamic (sharia) law the official law in their country. When this is debated in the U.S., Islamic apologists note that Muslims represent only 1 percent of the U.S. population. How could they be a threat to anyone?

Marxist Kyrsten Sinema Has Endorsement Revoked By The Arizona State Troopers Association

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

What’s a bi-sexual, brazen commie like Kyrsten Sinama to do when she loses the support of a union? Specifically, the Arizona State Troopers Association who represents state public safety employees. For the life of me, I don’t understand why they endorsed her in the first place. The woman is 100% Marxist and a dishonest one at that.

Evidently, the executive board went rogue and endorsed Kyrsten Sinema (D) without the input of their members. Bad union execs… bad. Troopers by and large believe in the rule of law, not socialism and ‘progressive’ politics.

Sinema is in a catfight with U.S. Rep. Martha McSally, a Republican, for the seat being vacated by Republican Sen. Jeff Flake. And although polls show the race is tight, I can’t imagine Arizonans picking a communist over a conservative veteran. I highly doubt Sinema will win this race. Arizona is a great state and deserves conservative, sane leadership. Not communist ideals.

Bomb Threats: A False Flag Op By Desperate Democrats

By: James Simpson | Daily Headlines

“Hoaxocrats” might be a good nickname for Democrats. The multiple bomb threats against Soros, the Clintons, Obama, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Eric Holder, and now apparently Rep. Maxine Waters, are just that. The Democrats have no legitimate agenda and have taken increasingly desperate measures to turn the November elections in their favor. This is just the latest in their insane kabuki theater of antics.

Consider: We have witnessed unprecedented Democrat obstruction and violence since President Trump was first elected. Meanwhile, hoaxes carried out by leftists and Muslims, whether painting swastikas on college campuses, reporting “Islamophobic” threats, or even burning black churches, have become ubiquitous. They would probably stop of the media would report them more faithfully.

People have become so used to Democrat antics they are numb, while Democrats from Hillary on down blame President Trump for the “atmosphere of incivility.” But then we had the Kavanaugh hearings. The outrageous behavior was so over-the-top and obviously engineered by Democratic senators that it energized what had been an exhausted and somewhat dispirited GOP base. So that backfired on them — big time.

What Are We To Think Of These Warnings?

By: Kent Engelke | Capitol Securities

The NASDAQ plunged 4.4% for its biggest single-day drop since August 2011 and now is officially in “correction territory” falling 12% from its August peak. APPL, AMZN, MSFT, and GOOG comprise about 25% of the index’s value and were responsible for the majority of yesterday’s decline.

The S&P 500 and the Dow had declines of 3.09% and 2.41% respectively and are negative for the year. October is the worst month for the S&P 500 since February 2009.

The pivotal 200-day moving average on the S&P 500 fell for the first time in 2½ years. The S&P 500 has declined 13 of the last 15 days, something that has not happened since March 2009.

Many times I have commented about the outsized impact of algorithmic or technology-based trading has upon the markets. In rising markets, little regulatory attention is focused upon this domination.

Yesterday I read SEC comments about the recent increased volatility, the product of many things including the normalization of interest rates and other geopolitical events which are fluid. Typically these are things traders are meant to deal with and provide stabilization when needed.

However, today, a discussion is rising about the neutering of market making capabilities which have robbed the markets of predictable and constant liquidity. The SEC states that “it is such a potentially systemic and intractable problem” that it is largely left to academics to dismiss and the regulator hoping everything will work out.

To me, this is a powerful admission, an obvious admission to anyone who has worked on a fixed income (and equity) trading desk. It is my firsthand experience liquidity is lacking in the fixed income markets, a lack of liquidity that the academics [and perhaps regulators] believe is still present.

Historically, money center banks provide liquidity but because of regulatory fiat, money center fixed income bond inventories are down over 90% from levels of 10 years ago while the bond market has swelled three times in size.

Yesterday, I referenced former Fed Chairman Greenspan’s remarks that unfortunately ”a system” needs to come apart at the seams before any action occurs and most often “one does not see these crises arising until it is at your doorstep.”

Continuing with this theme, JP Morgan warned yesterday of the inherent dangers of index (passive) investing. The bank states there is $7.4 trillion of assets managed by passive funds around the world concentrated primarily in large-cap stocks that will exacerbate a rout.

JP Morgan states that passive investing seems to be trend following, with inflows pushing equities higher during bull markets and outflows likely to magnify their fall during corrections.

Back in 2007, the strategy’s overall size amounted to about 26% of all managed funds with about 15% outside of the US. Eleven years later those figures have jumped to 83% and 53% respectively.

JP Morgan states passive investing is “far more skewed to large caps than what their market cap would command… passive AUM in large caps is 10 times that of small and mid-caps making this asset class far more exposed to momentum selling during market downturns.”

Wow! In my view, the comments from both the SEC and JP Morgan are significant and should be reflected upon.

The next question at hand is whether the individual security outperforms the indices in this rotation of monies back to Main Street from Wall Street. In other words, will the typical no-name stock that is not owned by the ETFs (90% of listed securities comprise less than 10% ETF ownership according to SocGen) outperform, the inverse of the last 10 years?

If one uses history as a guide, the answer is yes.

What will happen today?

Last night the foreign markets were mixed. London was up 0.18%, Paris was up 1.45% and Frankfurt was up 0.48%. China was up 0.02%, Japan was down 3.72% and Hang Sang was down 1.01%.

The Dow should open significantly higher. Equities are vastly oversold, several high profile companies surprised on the upside and there are no major changes in the geopolitical environment. The 10-year is off 8/32 to yield 3.14%.

Exposing “The Lies Of The Left” In Canada

By: Cliff Kincaid | America’s Survival

Canada’s Liberal Party leader and Obama acolyte, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, is corrupting Canada through drugs, sexual perversion, and a Muslim invasion, says Tanya Gaw of the Canadian Coalition for Responsible Government. Former drama teacher Trudeau, an admitted pothead, legalized marijuana nationwide on October 17, opening up Canada to drug cartels, and has facilitated the transgender revolution in Canadian schools. Trudeau, who visits mosques and has abandoned his Catholic faith on abortion and same-sex marriage, has invited foreign Muslims from terror-supporting countries to come to Canada. Activist Tanya Gaw describes how Canadians of a conservative and Christian persuasion have risen up against “the lies of the left” and Trudeau regime and are working to replace it in elections scheduled for next year. Will Canadian conservatives be allowed the freedom to voice their views and concerns? Can the conservatives in Canada get organized and get enough support from Canadian businesses to make a difference in time to save their nation?
