There are so many things wrong with the picture of Dr. Fauci taking in a Washington Nationals baseball game that one does not know where to start – and no it is not the fact that at that moment he is not wearing a mask. The first thing is that he is there at all, unlike the rest of America that he forbids from watching a baseball game. They’d like to take in a game too but only Fauci, secure in the knowledge that he has a regular job and a regular paycheck gets to enjoy America’s new favorite national pastime, players kneeling during the National Anthem.

Dr. Fauci took a break from his world tour long enough to take in a game and throw out the first pitch, which was predictably wild and to the left, the latest in a long series of curveballs he has thrown at us. After all, doing photo shoots ad interviews for InStyle Magazine can be exhausting. As the New York Post reported:

Dr. Anthony Fauci can add cover model to his resume.

Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, ditched his mask to pose for the September cover of InStyle magazine.

The top infectious disease expert invited photographer Frankie Alduino to his home last month to capture him sporting sunglasses and a button-down for the glossy, poolside shoot.

Fauci and his wife, bioethicist Dr. Christine Grady, also spoke with journalist Norah O’Donnell for an interview that will be featured in the issue.

To ask a question that would be asked of President Trump at the next press briefing had he done so, how many COVID deaths were there during the photoshoot or during the baseball game that people watched on TV because they have no jobs, they have lost their businesses or are just locked up in their homes under your order? The left-wing press would never ask such a question of the great Dr. Fauci, who once suggested millions would die if we didn’t shut up, sit down and obey his sage advice. Photo-ops are things evil conservative Presidents do.

Certainly, Fauci took umbrage at the question of where was his mask and why he was not social distancing with colleagues while he was sitting in the stands at the game. As the New York Post reported:

“I had my mask around my chin. I had taken it down. I was totally dehydrated and I was drinking water, trying to rehydrate myself,” Fauci insisted. “And by the way, I was negative COVID literally the day before. So I guess people want to make a big event. I wear a mask all the time when I’m outside. To pull it down to take some sips of water and put it back up again, I guess if people want to make something about that, they can. But to me, I think that’s just mischievous.”

In one image, Fauci was seen with his mask on his chin grinning at a friend to his right. In another image, Fauci looked straight ahead watching the game, with empty hands pointed toward the field.

You weren’t rehydrating yourself, Dr. Fauci, you were being a hypocrite, a fraud and a liar. Why can you and your companions juke elbow-to-elbow while you and your ilk ban people sitting three to a pew in a church in observing the constitutional freedom of religion you took from them? The esteemed pundit John Nolte came to this conclusion recently on the pages of Breitbart:

…Fauci is a stone-cold liar. And if he’s not a stone-cold liar, his only defense is that he is a fraud….

For months Fauci has been everywhere, all over TV, urging Americans to lock themselves down, to abandon their jobs, their sick, and dying family members, the small businesses they spent their lives getting off the ground; he urged us to drive our economy into the dirt, pull children who desperately need structure out of school, forgo once-in-a-lifetime graduations and graduation parties, cancel weddings and vacations…

Fauci’s message was clear, militant, terrifying, and relentless: If you don’t do these things, if you don’t sacrifice these things, if you don’t give up your liberty and prosperity, you are no better than a serial killer. The coronavirus is a unique and deadly killer, a particularly infectious and fatal disease, unlike anything we’ve seen in more than a century.

Unless, of course, you are Dr. Fauci and want to take in a baseball game. The rest of us watch the experts take away their constitutional rights under the guise of protecting our health. They are truly America’s huddled masses yearning to breathe free under the stifling oppression of government mandates. They watch threats to their health and safety grow as liberal jurisdictions release tens of thousands of felons onto the streets while calling for the defunding of ICE and the police. They can’t patronize our local businesses but rioters can burn them down. People going to church are stalked and ticketed but arsonists and looters are allowed to roam free.

The Wuhan virus pandemic is a liberal/progressive dream come true. It gives them the recession they have prayed for, the only time they pray, to oust President Trump. Their reason for getting up in the morning is to enact laws and programs that control every aspect of our lives and the Wuhan virus gives them the chance to do just that. They are not letting this crisis go to waste moving swiftly to exercise the authority they do not legally have to shred the unalienable rights our Creator endowed us with and the Constitution is written to protect.

Americans are tired of an oppressive government that for our own good, they tell us, represents simultaneously the most benign and evil of motives, locks us in our homes based on computer models that have never been right from day one and health guidelines that keep changing so much they might as well be written on an Etch-a-Sketch. They want to “flatten the curve” as they succeed in crushing our hopes and dreams. They seek treatments and a cure for a virus ignoring the healthcare costs of crushed lives and dreams, the human costs of lost jobs and careers, of nest eggs broken on the ground, of people who used to provide for their families fighting in stores over rolls of toilet paper. We are being guided by the best infectious disease experts in the world, we are told, experts so smart they didn’t anticipate or consider the lives lost from depression, suicide, drug and alcohol addiction and despair in a land where abortion is considered a right. An essential procedure but a heart stint and CT scans not so much.

Americans are poor from an economy brought to its knees by a malevolent adversary, China, and a government whose leaders who chat with late-night talk show hosts and sit at home in their mansions in gated communities eating expensive ice cream stored in refrigerator freezers few Americans could afford when times were good and normal.

Americans are huddled in their homes, in numbers the government must approve of. The Last Supper would have been illegal under current guidelines as it involved more than 12 people having dinner outside their own homes.

And they yearn to breathe free, wanting to play catch with their kids in an empty park only to be taken away by the police state that has arisen around them. They want to paddle a kayak on an empty private lake or to hear a Sunday homily or sermon over a speaker in their cars in a church parking lot without a bevy of Barney Fifes chasing them down and handing them tickets for amounts higher than most criminal bail amounts. Like William Wallace in “Braveheart,” they are shouting “Freedom!

Dr. Fauci, who acts like he’s President and not Trump,  would have us just sit here and wait for a vaccine that may or may not come and may or may not work while our economy atrophies and people turn to drugs, alcohol, child abuse, domestic violence, and even suicide as their nest eggs dreams, livelihoods evaporate in a one-size-fits-all form of house arrest that treats Idaho the same as Manhattan. Many would argue, and I count myself among them, that your consistently wrong advice using consistently wrong computer models has led to needless suffering and death.

Fauci has made many meandering and conflicting prognostications over time. Tucker Carlson on his Fox News show recently asked Dr. Marty Makary, Ptofessor of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University what he thought of Fauci’s performance thus far and his assessment was not good:

He is a very nice gentleman. He’s a good laboratory virologist. But you know, in terms of preparing this country, he missed it.

He missed this one. For two months from January 15th when we had our first case confirmed walking around in the United States on U.S. oil until March 15th, with the country latching on to every word he says, he never once prepared this country with anything beyond simple hygiene and basic virology lessons.

He went on the media every day, on every show. Never once did we hear, let’s get ready with more PPE. Let’s build up our stockpiles. Let’s stop nonessential travel. Let’s get more swabs. Let’s build up capacity with reagents and testing.

So, that was a big miss, and I don’t know whether or not to blame him because we all make mistakes, or the entire country putting their faith and stock in one doctor.

Ouch.  His pronouncements have been dangerously and consistently inaccurate as when he assured us that the coronavirus was nothing to worry about and we should just get on with our lives. As The Hill reported on January 26:

Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), said Sunday the American public shouldn’t worry about the coronavirus outbreak in China.

“It’s a very, very low risk to the United States,” Fauci said during an interview with radio show host John Catsimatidis.

“But it’s something that we as public health officials need to take very seriously… It isn’t something the American public needs to worry about or be frightened about. Because we have ways of preparing and screening of people coming in [from China]. And we have ways of responding – like we did with this one case in Seattle, Washington, who had traveled to China and brought back the infection.”

Or how about his sage advice on masks and the now-you-need-them now-you-don’t flip-flop of the so-called “experts.” As Dr. Fauci discussed the matter on CBS’ “60 Minutes” on March 8:

When it comes to preventing coronavirus, public health officials have been clear: Healthy people do not need to wear a face mask to protect themselves from COVID-19.

“There’s no reason to be walking around with a mask,” infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci told 60 Minutes.

While masks may block some droplets, Fauci said, they do not provide the level of protection people think they do. Wearing a mask may also have unintended consequences: People who wear masks tend to touch their face more often to adjust them, which can spread germs from their hands.

Coronavirus was nothing to worry about. There was no need to wear face masks. Fauci has been the Pied Piper of economic and medical misinformation. After he changed his mind and decided we needed to shut down the world’s greatest and booming economy, he did so on the basis of bogus models.

First Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx used the discredited Ferguson model in Britain to persuade Trump to lock down the world’s greatest economy. A New York Times reporter wrote on how apocalyptic nonsense from researcher Neil Ferguson and the Imperial College of Britain was used to dupe the WhiteHouse Coronavirus Task Force and influence President Trump to accept Fuci’s draconian lockdown.  Sheri Fink at The New York Times back on March 16, 2020, described the scenario that led to the US economic lockdown:

Sweeping new federal recommendations announced on Monday for Americans to sharply limit their activities appeared to draw on a dire scientific report warning that, without action by the government and individuals to slow the spread of coronavirus and suppress new cases, 2.2 million people in the United States could die.

To curb the epidemic, there would need to be drastic restrictions on work, school, and social gatherings for periods of time until a vaccine was available, which could take 18 months, according to the report, compiled by British researchers. They cautioned that such steps carried enormous costs that could also affect people’s health, but concluded they were “the only viable strategy at the current time.”

That is because different steps, intended to drive down transmission by isolating patients, quarantining those in contact with them and keeping the most vulnerable apart from others for three months, could only cut the predicted death toll by half, the new report said…

…Asked at a news conference with President Trump about what had led to the change in thinking by a White House task force, Dr. Deborah Birx, one of the task force leaders, said new information had come from a model developed in Britain.

We are trapped in this suicidal national lockdown because Dr. Fauci relied on and believed a report from some doofus who in 2005 predicted that as many as 200 million people would die from the bird flu and in 2009 said British deaths from the swine flu would number 500,000 annually. Deaths numbered 500.

Even Fauci must have realized the absurdities of such a number from the Ferguson model, for he soon turned to another model run by the University of Washington. But that model’s projections on cases and deaths changed enormously and frequently as new data came in, making accurate projections unreliable. Even Fauci noted:

“As we’re getting more data and seeing the positive of effect of mitigation, those numbers are going to be downgraded, as you’ve said,” Dr. Fauci said on Fox News. “I don’t know exactly what the numbers are going to be, but right now it looks like it’s going to be less than the original projection.”

Okay, let the man who doesn’t know that the numbers are based on computer models that couldn’t predict yesterday In an article in the Washington Post quoting Dr. Fauci on computer models, he said:

Anthony S. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told others there are too many variables at play in the pandemic to make the models reliable: “I’ve looked at all the models. I’ve spent a lot of time on the models. They don’t tell you anything. You can’t really rely upon models.”

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

Who elected Dr.Fauci Preident? Fauci keeps moving the goalposts. First COVID was not a threat. Then it was. We didn’t need masks he told us. Then we did. This boy well-considered advice from a medical expert. This is Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown. Now he tells us we have to wait for a vaccine for his permission to educate our children and worship our God or visit our doctor?

Home of the brave and land of the free? Thanks to Dr.Fauci, not anymore as we empty our jails so we have room for nail and hair salon owners wanting to feed their children. Fauci warns of needless suffering and death from a premature reopening of the economy he shut down. We are already miserable and dying.

We are dying from conditions not being treated or monitored or even diagnosed because the hospitals and doctors are under restrictive rules, limited to so-called essential treatments and services. We are dying from the suddenly discovered pandemic exception clause to the Constitution which suspended our rights to peacefully assemble, to practice our religion, to keep and bear arms, and even to speak freely.

We are dying Dr. Fauci and not just from the Chinese Wuhan virus whose origin was the labs your agency funded. We are dying from suicide and depression and hopelessness in an atrophied economy your order that placed America under house arrest created. We are dying from vanished nest eggs, retirement plans, and dreams. We are dying from jobs that will never come back and businesses that will never reopen.

We are dying in an economy whose upward curve your advice has flattened. You have destroyed the American dream almost single-handedly and done what no foreign adversary ever could – bring America to its knees.

Kentucky GOP Sen. Rand Paul rightly took Dr. Fauci apart for his apocalyptic Senate testimony:

“If we keep kids out of school for another year, what’s going to happen is the poor and underprivileged kids who don’t have a parent that’s able to teach them at home are not going to learn for a full year,” Paul said.

Paul rebuked Fauci, saying: “I don’t think you’re the end-all. I don’t think you’re the one person who gets to make a decision. We can listen to your advice, but there are people on the other side saying there’s not going to be a surge and that we can safely open the economy.”

I don’t think he’s the end-all either. To Dr. Fauci, the U.S. is one big clinical trial and we are lab rats in his experiment. As America dies from bureaucratic asphyxiation, it’s time we got a second opinion. Dr. Fauci has proven himself to be a consistent fraud and liar.
