United in Iniquity

By: Tabitha Korol

Claiming to work for “peace and social justice,” in the US and around the world, American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) has, nevertheless, been rightly called “the most militant and aggressive of Christian anti-Israel groups.”  They boast of their history of non-violent activism, yet work to ultimately destroy the Jewish people and their ancient homeland, Israel, by inciting others to strive for Israel’s annihilation, often through violence.

The AFSC, a Quaker group that, together with a British Quaker organization, began in 1917 as a wartime medical corps to assist civilian victims of World War I, aiding orphans and victims of famine and disease.  Their additional humanitarian work through Europe, Japan, India and China, helping African-, Native-, Mexican-, and Asian-Americans, certainly earned them the Nobel Peace Prize.  Yet, in the 1930s and through World War II, they helped non-religious Jews and Jews married to Christians, alleging that “religious Jews” were being helped by other organizations; they did not decline to help Catholics, Protestants, Buddhists, Hindus and Muslims based on the extent of their religiosity.  Therefore, despite the dire conditions of the Holocaust survivors – their suffering, losses, homes destroyed, and eagerness for peace in their ancient homeland – the organization instead promoted the repatriation of hostile Arabs into Israel, the Arabs who were eager and ready to attack the reborn Jewish state and implement their plans of genocide.  There can be no other interpretation but organizational antisemitism.

Highly Organized Migrant Caravans Are Being Supported by Taxpayer Funded American Groups and the UN; and They’re Using Women and Children as Human Shields

By: James Simpson | The Epoch Times

The migrant caravans now storming our borders were not spontaneous. They were highly organized and assisted by multiple agencies of the United Nations and numerous illegal alien advocacy groups. In the recent rushes to overwhelm the border, migrants placed women and children in front as human shields while they pelted the Border Patrol with rocks.

Two related Chicago-based organizations, Pueblo Sin Fronteras (People Without Borders), a project of La Familia Latina Unida (The United Latin Family), and Centro Sin Fronteras Community Services Network, were heavily involved in organizing the caravan. Reports claim there are at least 100 Pueblo Sin Fronteres workers embedded with the caravan.

Emma Lozano, founder of both Centro and Pueblo, is a leftwing activist and a pastor at the Lincoln United Methodist Church in Chicago. She fights deportation of illegals, and wants Illinois to become, “an Immigrant Freedom Zone.” She has stated, “We need to change America, we are all America.”

Legalizing Drugs Because Soros Wants It

By: Denise Simon | Founders Code

Meet Ethan Nadelmann. He partnered with George Soros in 2000 to form the Drug Policy Alliance. Soros has invested more than $200 million to legalized marijuana and this movement has been effective state by state. In fact, via Soros, the Drug Policy Alliance wants to legalized all narcotics. What?

How about the fact that 71,000 deaths were recorded in 2016 due to overdose? So, where is the outrage? Legalize opium? Legalize heroin? Fentanyl? As a note, each time police administer Narcan, another estimated $300 per dose is spent. Narcan, used for opioid overdose, is cheaper, however, for law enforcement. However, each kit has two doses and narcan is a nasal spray. The cost is going up and for some outlets it is almost free mostly due to subsidies. In fact, counter-measures can cost up to $4500 and you can bet Soros has invested in that too.

Is this what we want first responders and police doing when other public safety calls and cases are happening?

Complicating the China Trade Talks, Taiwan

By: Denise Simon | Founders Code

Since 1972, the United States has had a policy position entitled the One China Policy This policy regarded that Taiwan was part of China. Since 1972, conditions have changed dramatically where Taiwan wants complete independence and should have it. China is now prepared for war to halt that independence move and it could snare the United States in a military conflict.

Without any fanfare, President Trump signed into law the Asia Reassurance Initiative Act on New Year’s Eve. The section of the law on Taiwan reiterates American commitment “to counter efforts to change the status quo and to support peaceful resolution acceptable to both sides of the Taiwan Strait.” It also calls on the American president to send high-level officials to Taiwan and to regularly sell arms to the island.

Meanwhile, as a result of the detention of Meng Wanzhou, the CFO of Huawei in Canada, who is to be prepared for extradition to the United States, a travel advisory has been issued by the U.S. State Department for Americans traveling in China for either business or pleasure.

What A Job’s Report!!

By: Kent Engelke | Capitol Securities

Wow!  The December job’s report was extremely strong in every dimension suggesting that the economy is on solid footing.  This correlates to an economy expanding with a “fourth handle” thus alleviating concerns that the economy is on the verge of a recession.  As noted last week there is a massive disconnect between the headlines and economic forecasts.  Will this data stem the endless negative economic diatribes?

Non-farm and private-sector private payrolls rose by over 300,000, far eclipsing estimates of a 180,000 increase.  November’s job’s growth was also revised higher thus suggesting further strength. Bloomberg writes 22 of the last 24 month’s job growth was revised higher than previously estimated.

Wage growth also topped expectations, matching the fastest pace since 2009.

Meanwhile, the jobless rate rose to 3.9%, the result of more workers reentering the workforce. Accordingly, the labor participation rate rose to 63.1% matching the previous peak of March 2017 and the highest since March 2014.  When the economy exited the great recession in 2Q09 the LPR was 65.7%.

In my view, a rising LPR and wages is pivotal in sustaining economic momentum.

Some pundits are suggesting there will be revisions.  I would agree with this statement but barring a massive change, there is little to suggest the data was nothing but extremely strong.

Equities responded positively to the data adding to the optimistic sentiment, the result of trade hopes.

Gains accelerated following soothing comments by FRB Chair Powell that Fed policy is flexible, “listening carefully” to the financial markets pledging to be patient with any future interest rate hikes.  This was interpreted as laying the potential groundwork for a pause in the Fed’s campaign of gradual rate hikes.

As with all prior sessions, activity was dominated by algorithmic trading.

What will happen this week?  Fourth quarter earnings season commences shortly.  The consensus is expecting profits to increase by 8%.  I think it can be safely written that expectations are low.

What is frightening, however, according to Bloomberg the most widely owned momentum growth companies are expected to post earnings growth in the range of 0% to 5%.  The companies as an aggregate are still priced over 30x earnings.  Against this simplistic backdrop, any price gains in this sector/companies could be difficult.

Last night the foreign markets were mixed.  London was down 0.49%, Paris was down 0.50% and Frankfurt was down 0.45%.  China was up 1.71%, Japan was up 2.44% and Hang Sang was up 0.82%.

The Dow should open flat.  The 10-year is up 7/32 to yield 2.65%.

Convention of States Project Vies for Four Pinocchios

By: Judi Caler

  1. Playing the victim

Mark Meckler, president of Convention of States Project (COSP), sidesteps thearguments of his conservative opposition. That’s most likely because Meckler’s responses aren’t logical, and his adversaries’ arguments ring true to Republican state legislators whose votes Meckler needs on his Article V convention applications.1

Instead, Meckler deceives Republicans by playing the victim to leftist, globalist billionaire George Soros.  Since April 2017, COSP operatives have spread the false narrative that Soros has declared war on them. But in fact, backers of COSP are on the same side as Soros in their quest to rewrite our Constitution at an Article V convention AKA “constitutional convention,” “con-con,” or “convention of states.” 2

What seems to have triggered the “George Soros is against us” fabrication was a letter signed by over 200 national, state and local leftist organizations released by Common Cause on Good Friday 2017. The letter urged state legislators to oppose efforts by convention proponents asking Congress to call an Article V convention, and to rescind all previously passed Article V convention applications from their states.

The Political Posturing of Nancy Pelosi: Redux

By: Frank Salvato

S.M. Sigerson wrote, “A nation which fails to adequately remember salient points of its own history, is like a person with Alzheimer’s. And that can be a social disease of a most destructive nature.” Such is the case with Nancy Pelosi’s retaking of the Speaker’s gavel in her return to the post of Speaker of the House, a position that puts her just once removed from the presidency.

In her first act in reclaiming the Speakership – which has never been done before, Pelosi minions have stated she is set to move several pieces of legislation that would fund the partially-closed government while denying President Trump the $5 Billion he has demanded for a border security system. She is executing an “end-around” on the President.

Mind you, Pelosi will not succeed unless she is joined in passing these pieces of legislation by Senate Republicans led by Mitch McConnell. Even then, President Trump will have an opportunity to veto the bills. And therein lays the rub.

Pelosi is a political creature empowered by the opportunism of the ratings-starved media, as are all Progressive-Fascists (which are what radical Democrats like Pelosi have become). In creating this end-around, she is attempting to paint President Trump, and to a lesser extent Senate and congressional Republicans, as the one who has “shut-down” government.

Then, she and Chuck Schumer – who combined have been in Federal government for over 50 years, will glom onto the media spotlight and do what they have been so good at doing for the total of their tenures. They will use a complicit media to capture the narrative thus advancing the false notion that somehow a President who is demanding our borders be secure in a post-9/11 world is to blame for Democrat obstruction and a quasi-hobbling of government.

This has nothing to do with honesty debating the merits of a controlled and/or walled border. It has nothing to do with the security of a nation that saw almost 3,000 people slaughtered on September 11, 2001, by 19 Islamofascists who violated immigration law, or the poisoning of our people by the Mexican and Latin American drug cartels. It has everything to do with the Progressive-Fascist’s addiction to ultimate power.

Nancy Pelosi is not a good and kind woman, nor is Chuck Schumer a good and kind man. They are both political puppets to the oligarchic elite; to the globalist billionaires and trillionaires who want to profit from the bleeding of the United States. Pelosi and Schumer have both been paid handsomely for their loyalty; they are both multi-millionaires because of it. That’s not an easy feat on a salary of just $223,500 and $193,400 annually, respectively (yes, Pelosi makes more than Schumer…damn the gender inequality).

Add to this initial volley, myriad false-flag investigations and nuisance hearings into the semantics and inanities of partisan politics and the stage is set for at least the next two years of governmental gridlock in Washington, DC.

Nancy Pelosi is back as Speaker of the House. Progressive-Fascist Democrats are the ones who re-elected her to this position. Let’s all try to remember that when nothing gets done for the next two years and we all are brought to the point of vomiting over politics.

“That is the key to history. Terrific energy is expended – civilizations are built up – excellent institutions devised; but each time something goes wrong. Some fatal flaw always brings the selfish and the cruel people to the top and it all slides back into misery and ruin.” – C.S. Lewis
