The Real Russian Agent

By: Cliff Kincaid | Accuracy in Media

Liberal Democrats have been so busy accusing Donald J. Trump of being a Russian agent that they have missed the real Russian agent on the international scene—Germany’s Angela Merkel. Her pro-Muslim immigration policies have not only destabilized Europe and increased terrorism but have also facilitated the rise of the right-wing political parties our media have expressed alarm about.

Our media, for example, were shocked over a reported meeting between a leader of the Austrian Freedom Party and Trump’s national security adviser, Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn. The Austrian Freedom Party had signed a cooperation agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party. Liberal Democrats saw this as more evidence of a pro-Russian bent by the incoming Trump administration.

It would be a dereliction of duty for Flynn not to meet with such a figure and try to understand the nature of the political upheaval in Europe.

If our media were truly in a fact-finding mode, rather than attempting to score partisan political points, they would soon discover that some of these political parties are seeking Russian cooperation in stopping the Muslim invasion of Europe, because the European Union is viewed as hopeless and useless against terrorism. Desperation is forcing these parties to seek Russian involvement.

The Muslim invasion of Europe, which has been accelerated by Russian aggression in the Middle East, is being facilitated by such figures as Germany’s Chancellor Merkel, often described as the most powerful leader in Europe.

President Barack Obama and liberals in America love Merkel because she shares their belief in multiculturalism. Like Obama, she wants to invite in as many Muslims as possible. The result, as predictable as night follows day, is more Islamic terrorism.

In the same way that responsible U.S. conservatives raised questions about President Obama’s Marxist/Muslim background in trying to explain his disastrous policies, Merkel’s history as a communist youth activist in East Germany, where a young KGB officer by the name of Vladimir Putin was stationed, has always been a source of controversy.

Merkel’s father, a minister named Horst Kasner, was born in West Germany, but he moved to East Germany just a few months after Angela’s birth. That was during a time when hundreds of thousands were fleeing in the opposite direction, from East to West, and before the building of the Berlin Wall in 1961.

In East Germany he was known as a GDR (German Democratic Republic) church-man who collaborated with the regime. As a young person in East Germany, Angela Kasner was active in the Young Pioneers and later the Free German Youth, and served as a propagandist. Her dedication to communism continued during her university years, where she reportedly wrote a thesis on Marxism-Leninism before graduating from Karl Marx University in Leipzig.

More than two years ago we asked, “Is the German Chancellor an Agent of Russia?” Among other things, she had made Germany more dependent on Russian oil and gas by terminating Germany’s nuclear energy program. The refugee crisis adds to the suspicions about her real agenda.

Commentators who don’t want to face up to the evidence against Merkel instead claim that Putin is trying to undermine her.

“Russia is actively seeking to harm and destabilize Germany,” wrote Newsweek magazine. The Newsweek writer, Ruth Forsyth, who is affiliated with the Atlantic Council, writes that Russia is “exploiting the refugee crisis to try to deepen dissatisfaction and divisions within German society. Russian propaganda has been depicting the West as becoming unstable and less safe due to this influx of migrants, painting a picture in which citizens’ security can no longer be guaranteed by European national governments.”

This seems more like “Russian propaganda” than reality. The story omits the role that Merkel herself is playing in making the refugee crisis into an ongoing problem that is destabilizing Europe. Merkel is doing a pretty good job of destabilizing Germany—and Europe as a whole—on her own.

The Newsweek treatment of the issue is not unique.

The Guardian headline, “Russia ‘stoking refugee unrest in Germany to topple Angela Merkel,’” is another variation of the theme. This story cites NATO’s “most senior expert on strategic communications” as saying that “Russia is trying to topple Angela Merkel by waging an information war designed to stir up anger in Germany over refugees.”

There is a simple answer to that. Angela should stop playing into Putin’s hands by bringing in more refugees.

Such a simple answer demonstrates the fallacy of the claim that Trump is an agent of Russia. If Trump wanted to destabilize the United States in the same way that Merkel is subverting Germany, he would welcome more Muslim refugees into the U.S. Instead, he wants a curb on immigration.

Air Force General Philip M. Breedlove, who served as the Supreme Allied Commander, Europe, and commander of U.S. European Command, said that Russia and the Assad regime in Syria were “deliberately weaponizing migration from Syria” in order to destabilize Europe.

Politicians like Merkel—and that includes President Obama—are the ones who have been doing Putin’s bidding by bringing in Muslim refugees to destabilize the West.

The numbers are astounding. More than one million refugees have arrived in Germany, many of them from war-torn Syria. Obama has wanted to admit more of them into the United States. Hillary Clinton wanted to admit even more than Obama.

It was Trump, the alleged Russian agent, who wanted to stop this influx and prevent Putin from exploiting the crisis in the “information war” that NATO says is happening.

In the case of Germany, if Merkel wins the election next year, Putin wins because she continues the policies that destabilize her own country. If she loses the election and a pro-Putin political party takes power, Putin wins.

There is evidence that Trump’s advisers understand this. He has drawn several cabinet picks from the ranks of the U.S. military, who like Breedlove, have said that Putin is using the refugees as a “weapon” against the West.

Merkel has helped Putin fire that weapon. So has Obama. In fact, Obama contributed to the refugee problem by ordering his CIA to arm anti-Syrian government fighters with ties to jihadist groups. Then, as they came under attack by the Russians, Obama pulled back his support. The most recent result was Aleppo.

Having helped create a human crisis that Merkel is making worse, Obama is back on the golf course and oblivious to the deliberate consequences of what they have done. And Obama is supposed to be tough on Russia?

Trump, for his part, would like to stop the refugee flow and stabilize the Middle East. He seems to think he can work with Russia. But Merkel and the Russians have other ideas. Trump’s military advisers such as Lt. Gen. Flynn have to understand the correlation of forces they are facing. That’s why Flynn’s meeting with the leader of the Austrian Freedom Party is necessary and important.

“Amid a migrant crisis, sluggish economic growth and growing disillusionment with the European Union, right-wing parties in a growing number of European countries have made electoral gains,” notes The New York Times. What the Times and other media refuse to concede is the important role of the German Chancellor in making all of this possible.

Trump isn’t the Russian agent. It’s Merkel.

Europe Braces Itself for Terrorism as Germany and Other Countries Experience Sexual Jihad Firsthand from Rapefugees

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

Germany

Germans are fed up and want Angela Merkel gone. Especially after the New Year’s Eve festivities where Muslim men assaulted and raped a whole bunch of women in Cologne. With signs declaring, ‘RAPEFUGEES NOT WELCOME’, protesters marched and called for the invaders to leave their country. Regardless of what the media says, they are not racists. You can’t be racist against a religion or a theocratic/political construct. These refugees are being brought into Germany by the millions and they bring rape, theft and Shariah law with them. German women fear venturing out of their homes now and politicians tell them to get used to it and to be more modest instead of going after the rapists. These people are scared and angry and you can hardly blame them.

Germany1

This is the Hijrah migration and it is facilitated by the very people they elected and trusted as their leaders. Merkel opened the borders of Germany and let a conquering force invade her country. They have kicked people out of their homes and have given German jobs to those crossing their borders. Shariah law is being imposed in certain sectors and Islamists roam the streets as predators looking for women to accost. They are violent and aggressive and the Germans are not just going to roll over and let these monsters rule them. Merkel is a clear and present danger to Germany and must be removed from office. Her upbringing is showing. “We are the people,” chanted the crowd as they began marching away from the train station. “Those who don’t love this country should disappear,” they shouted. Some also heckled a line of police officers standing guard, saying “where, where, where were you on New Year’s Eve?” Good question. My guess is they were ordered to stand down by the mayor and by Merkel. 150 cops showed up to stop the rapes and thefts in Cologne – they said that was all they could spare. That was a joke; it was nowhere near enough to stop 1,000 Muslims from rampaging. But when Pegida protested the Islamization of Germany and Europe, they rallied 1,700 officers. What does that look like to you?

Thousands have pledged their support to a German vigilante group which has vowed to protect women from migrants in the wake of the New Year’s Eve attacks in Cologne. A week after a mob of ‘drunk and stoned’ migrants sexually assaulted and robbed 100 women on the streets of Cologne, a group known as ‘Dusseldorf is Watching’ has gained more than 8,000 Facebook members. The group says it wants to make the streets safer through their ‘presence’ alone, but police have warned that ‘searching for offenders is not a job for citizens’. Evidently it isn’t a job for the police there either.

Approximately 1,700 protesters were met with the use of water cannons and tear gas by police as they protested the refugee invasion. Cologne police said they received a total of 379 complaints about New Year’s Eve in Cologne, with about 40% being investigated as sex crimes. Other European cities reported similar rashes of sex crime reports. Other German cities experienced similar attacks the same night, including the northern city of Hamburg, where more than 50 incidents were reported.

Germany5

From WND, here is the list of countries that have reported a spike in sexual attacks since taking in migrants:

  • Austria: Police allegedly tried to cover up evidence of sex attacks in Vienna, Breitbart London reported Friday.
  • Finland: Police told Agence-France Presse there was “widespread sexual harassment” at a New Year’s Eve event where 1,000 asylum seekers congregated.
  • France: Two Afghan migrants were arrested in connection with an attempted rape on a passenger train in Paris, Le Parisien reported Thursday.
  • Germany: A police officer in Cologne told Express.de on Thursday that 14 suspects in custody came from Syria; one came from Afghanistan.
  • Sweden: At least nine women were groped by gangs of migrants in Kalmar.
  • Switzerland: Six women said they were sexually harassed at a New Year’s Eve event in Zurich, SWI reported Thursday. The attacks were described by the website as “Cologne-style.”

Tommy Robinson on Cologne (New Year’s Eve Attacks)

Via CNN:

Police in Kalmar, Sweden, said Friday they had arrested two men described as refugees who only spoke Arabic or Kurdish. The men, who have since been released on bail, are suspected in two of the 11 sexual harassment complaints received in the town on New Year’s Eve, according to police spokesman Johan Bruun.

Police are looking for 10 to 15 additional suspects who allegedly encircled a group of women in Kalmar and groped them, Bruun told CNN.

In all, 16 females between 17 and 21 said they were molested, he said.

In Salzburg, an Austrian city on the German border, two men have been charged with sexually assaulting women on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, police said in a statement.

A 23-year-old Syrian citizen was arrested in the city’s Old Town section on New Year’s Eve after sending fireworks in the direction of a 17-year-old student, police said. She was slightly injured in her abdomen. Further investigation revealed he allegedly had sexually abused a 20-year-old from Bayern in the inner city before the fireworks incident, police said.

A 28-year-old Afghan allegedly sexually abused a 58-year-old woman in the early hours of January 1, police said.

Another woman reported she was sexually harassed on New Year’s Eve by two men who also stole her phone, police said. A 24-year-old Afghan man was arrested and accused of molesting a 26-year-old January 6 at a downtown Salzburg pub, police said.

In Zurich, Switzerland, six women told authorities they were “robbed from one side, [while] being groped … on the other side” by groups of men described as having dark skin, according to a Zurich police statement released Friday.

And in Helsinki, Finland, police said they are investigating two possible criminal offenses related to New Year’s Eve harassment centered around “a gathering of asylum-seekers.”

Germany2

There is a new leaked police report out that says the attackers in the Cologne sex attacks claimed to be Syrian refugees. The report states that senior police officers feared fatalities and that one of those involved in the attacks told officers: “I am Syrian. You have to treat me kindly. Mrs. Merkel invited me.”

The violent attacks were also much more serious than previously reported. Police actually feared that people would die during the onslaught on New Year’s Eve. If you can believe it, German ministers have said that there is absolutely no evidence that asylum seekers are involved in the violence. What? It just spontaneously occurred? German men suddenly decided to rape their women? I don’t think so.

One of the refugees tore up his residence permit before the eyes of police and told them: “You can’t do anything to me, I can get a new one tomorrow.” A local newspaper reported that fifteen asylum-seekers from Syria and Afghanistan were briefly held by police on New Year’s Eve in connection with the sex attacks, but then they were released. The Express newspaper quoted an unnamed police officer who said his squad had detained several people who had “only been in Germany for a few weeks.” “Of these people, 14 were from Syria and one was from Afghanistan. That’s the truth. Although it hurts,” he said. The newspaper quoted a second police officer as confirming the 15 who were held had “residence permits for the asylum procedure.” Officers took down their names, and they are in the police records, he said.

Two of the men were found carrying threatening, handwritten notes in German and Arabic. The messages, which they are thought to have handed to women, included the phrases, ‘I am going to kill you’, ‘I want to f***’, ‘I’m only joking with you’ and ‘nice breasts’. Suspects included Algerians, eight Moroccans, five Iranians, four Syrians, two Germans and one person each from Iraq, Serbia and the United States.

It certainly looks like the police and Merkel are covering the assaults up and trying to quiet those stepping forward. Police claim they were overwhelmed that night and had to release those detained. Bull crap. They were ordered to let them go. Police say they have identified 16 suspects from video recordings of the incidents. It is not known if the group includes any who were detained on New Year’s Eve. Only 16? There were a whole hell of a lot more than that rampaging.

The Germans are incensed over this:

Germany registered nearly 1.1 million asylum-seekers last year. Last week, Germany’s justice minister warned that asylum-seekers could be deported if they are found to have taken part in the Cologne sexual assaults. I’ll believe it when I see it. The author of the leaked police report is rumored to be a commander of some 100 officers sent as reinforcements to the area outside Cologne’s main station on New Year’s Eve.

“When we arrived, our vehicles were pelted with firecrackers,” the report said. “In the forecourt and on the cathedral steps were a thousand people, mostly males of an immigrant background who were indiscriminately throwing fireworks and bottles into the crowd.” The arrival of the police did not slow down the violence at all. “Around 10:45 pm, the station forecourt filled with people of an immigrant background. Women literally had to run the gauntlet through the mass of drunk men, in a way you can’t describe,” the report said. “We came to the conclusion that the situation threatened chaos or serious injury, if it didn’t lead to fatalities.”

The police moved in and decided to clear the area. They were met with violent resistance as they were “repeatedly bombarded with fireworks and pelted with bottles.” The report describes members of the crowd as having consumed a “massive” quantity of alcohol and other intoxicating substances such as marijuana. The police got the area cleared out by 12:15 am, but the revelers were nowhere near done yet. They simply moved the festivities to the back streets. “Many women came to officers shocked and crying and reported sex assaults. Police forces were unable to respond to all the events, assaults and offences. There were just too many at the same time.” They were outnumbered and overwhelmed. Welcome to the party, pal. The police could not get to the victims as they were being molested. The Islamic thugs laughed at the police because they knew they wouldn’t do a thing to stop them.

More than 150 women have filed criminal complaints, three-quarters of them for sexual assault. Two cases of rape have been reported. And you can bet there were many, many more than that. Police say seven suspects have been identified so far. Two are currently being held after being arrested for harassing women on Sunday night, two days after the main incident. Two others were briefly detained and questioned on New Year’s Eve on suspicion of theft, but were later released. None of their names are being released.

Cologne wasn’t the only place this went on either. Three Syrians have been arrested in southern Germany on suspicion of the gang rape of two teenage girls on New Year’s Eve. The suspects have been in custody for several days, but news of the arrests was kept secret to protect the privacy of the victims because they are minors, prosecutors claimed. Right. I’m sure that’s all it was… they are so concerned for the minors here. A 21 year-old man and two 14 year-old boys are being held in the town of Weil am Rhein, near the French and Swiss borders. They are suspected of raping two girls, also aged 14 and 15, who spent New Year’s Eve with them at the home of the 21 year-old in the nearby village of Friedlingen. The fourth suspect is his 15 year-old brother. They viciously raped the two girls and held them for several hours. Police say the suspects are not asylum seekers and they believe the incident is not connected to the sex attacks in Cologne and other German cities. The 21 year-old suspect and his brother are German residents. The other suspects live in Switzerland and the Netherlands. And they are Muslim.

More and more refugees are still flowing into Germany every day. “We had an average influx of 3,200 refugees per day arriving in Germany, and the numbers are not declining in the last days,” Ole Schroeder, the deputy German minister, told a briefing in Brussels. “Our problem at the moment in Europe is that we do not have a functioning border control system, especially at the Greece-Turkey border,” he added. Where things go from here is an open question, but it appears many Germans are at their breaking point. Next on the hit parade in these countries are waves of terrorist attacks and they are coming to the US as well.

“This is a preview as to what’s coming into our own nation in the United States, once we start bringing and importing these refugees,” said Brigitte Gabriel. And she is right. If Obama keeps bringing in refugees the way he has started to do, this will occur here. The difference is, at least for now, we are armed. As Phyllis Schlafly said, Germany is no longer German. And if Obama gets his way, America will no longer be American. After the rape spree in Germany, Merkel and her government targeted ‘hate speech‘, not the Muslim rapists. That’s exactly what Obama will do as well. If America does not want to be subjected to Rapefugees and sexual Jihad, then we had better elect a leader that will put a halt to the refugee resettlement program and close our borders. I’m just not sure we can wait that long as Obama is bringing in as many Islamic refugees as he can while he’s still in power. The Hijrah migration is here.

Pro-Marxist Sells Greece to Moscow

By: Cliff Kincaid
Accuracy in Media

The coverage of the economic disaster in Greece, a strategic NATO country, has mostly ignored the role of Vladimir Putin’s Russia in the growing global turmoil.

Reports continue to circulate that a new European Union (EU) bailout deal with Greece is possible, as Yanis Varoufakis, a self-described “erratic Marxist,” has resigned as finance minister. But these developments appear to be for the purpose of diverting attention away from the fact that Greece has already become, in effect, a satellite of Moscow.

The Greek regime is a Moscow-backed left-right coalition led by Alexis Tsipras, the pro-Marxist and pro-Russia head of Greece’s “Coalition of the Radical Left.” Tsipras, who presented himself as a moderate when he spoke at the Brookings Institution on January 22, 2013, was a member of the youth wing of the Greek Communist Party, the KKE.

The political party known as ANEL (The Independent Greeks) is supposed to be a “conservative” party in the ruling government and yet it is pro-Russian. This reflects Putin’s cultivation of right-wing forces throughout Europe and even in America.

Back from a recent visit to Russia, Tsipras is now counting on cheaper gas and increased Russian investment from Moscow. The prospect of Russian military bases in NATO territory—Greece—cannot be ruled out at this point.

Tsipras previously signed a memorandum that is designed to make 2016 into the “Year of Greece-Russia relations.”

After his coalition won the elections in January, Tsipras received a congratulatory call from President Obama. The two leaders “reviewed close cooperation between Greece and the United States on issues of European security and counterterrorism,” the White House reported.

That alleged “close cooperation” has been replaced by a Greek deal with Moscow.

It seems like just another foreign policy disaster under President Obama, except in this case the stakes are huge. NATO notes that “Greece is strategically located in the Southern region of the Alliance, in close vicinity to South Eastern Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East and North Africa.”

But other than expressing a vague hope that European leaders would devise a plan to allow Greece “to return to growth and debt sustainability within the Eurozone,” Obama has been AWOL on the crisis, leaving it mostly in the hands of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The subject of reports and even a book suggesting she is a Russian agent, Merkel knows full well that Tsipras and Putin have been undermining the NATO alliance at a time when the West fears a Russian invasion of another former Soviet republic.

For example, in the report, “Stop Putin’s Next Invasion Before It Starts,” Terrence K. Kelly of the Rand Corporation argues that “The United States needs to seriously consider stationing forces in Eastern Europe to support the nation’s commitment to protect the independence of the Baltic republics of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania—NATO members all—against the specter of Russian aggression.”

Some news organizations have alluded to Russia’s role in the current crisis. “Russian President Vladimir Putin feted Tsipras in St. Petersburg last month as bailout negotiations took place in Brussels,” noted Michael Birnbaum and Griff Witte in The Washington Post.

During that meeting Tsipras discussed energy and the “Greek Stream” gas pipeline project with Russian Gazprom chief Alexei Miller during a meeting in St. Petersburg. In fact, Russia and Greece signed a deal to construct a Turkish pipeline across Greek territory. Tsipras also met with representatives of the new development bank for BRICS countries, referring to Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, “who expressed their intense interest in cooperating with Greece,” one report noted.

“Russia has its eye on Athens, trying to break European unity to put an end to economic sanctions imposed over its actions in Ukraine,” Birnbaum and Witte noted in the Post.

But the situation is far more serious than the Post lets on. Syriza’s 40-point program includes undermining NATO, the global battle against Islamic terrorism, and Israel:

  • Closure of all foreign bases in Greece and withdrawal from NATO.
  • Withdrawal of Greek troops from Afghanistan and the Balkans. No Greek soldiers beyond our own borders.
  • Drastically cut military expenditures.
  • Abolition of military cooperation with Israel. Support for creation of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders.

Syriza, a Greek political party, is a member of The European Left (EL). Member Parties of the EL are described as “socialist, communist, red-green and other democratic left parties of the member states and associated states of the European Union (EU) that work together and establish various forms of co-operation at all levels of political activity in Europe, based on the agreements, basic principles and political aims laid down in the EL Manifesto.” The chairperson of EL is Pierre Laurent of the French Communist Party. Tsipras is the Vice-Chairperson.

In addition to the support from these international Marxist political parties and groups, Tsipras met with the leftist Pope Francis on September 19, 2014. Tsipras said, “We pleaded with him to continue struggling against poverty and to speak in behalf of the dignity of humans as well as the structural causes behind poverty which are the inequality in the distribution of wealth and the rampant behavior of the financial markets. …we agreed that the dialogue between the Left and the Christian Church must go on. We may have different ideological starting points; however, we converge on common values, like solidarity, love for the fellow human being, social justice, and our concern regarding world peace.”

“For the first time ever the head of the Catholic Church will meet a leader of the radical Left,” is how Tsipras described the meeting with the pope at his “Change Europe” website.

In their book, EUSSR, Vladimir Bukovsky and Pavel Stroilov argued that the European Union was itself a project of the old Soviet Union, and that the EU has always been subject to manipulation by Moscow and its agents. Based on this analysis, what’s happening in Greece is part of a process of pulling Europe as a whole to the left and away from the United States.

The eventual goal, some observers say, is the removal of the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency, a development that would strike a mortal blow to the global capitalist system.

Will the Sharia save Morsi?

By: Ashraf Ramelah
Voice of the Copts

death-sentence

death-sentence

Just three weeks ago the Egyptian court sentenced Egypt’s former Muslim Brotherhood president, Mohammed Morsi, to the death penalty after evidence presented from Egyptian intelligence documents proved him guilty of spying for Qatar, Iran and Turkey.

There are more than one hundred names on the list with him who are all convicted of the same crimes: murdering protesters, transferring top secret military documents to foreign countries, and burning the museum library which destroyed rare manuscripts and ancient artifacts.

Included on the death-penalty list is Mohamed Badie, the former Muslim Brotherhood spiritual head and his two deputies, Khairat El-Shater and Mahmud Ezzat, as well as Yousef Al Qaradawy, Hamas’ spiritual leader now living in Qatar.

As required by Egyptian law, the Egyptian court directly transmitted the list of the sentenced to the Grand Mufti of Cairo for his pronouncement of the Sharia opinion (approval) on the court’s verdict and sentencing. This past week, a few hours before the court resumed on June 2, a sealed envelope was passed to the court containing the Grand Mufti’s decision.

The court postponed the June 2 proceedings until June 16, and the envelope remains sealed at this moment.  Some say the court did so to protect the country and President Al-Sisi who was in Germany on June 2 — waiting for his return in case violence erupts as a result of the announcement.

What are the chances that the Mufti has approved the death penalty? After all, the hundred or so Morsi aides and accomplices condemned to death along with the former president are guilty of nothing more than consistency with the cleric’s ideological and religious views.

If the death penalty is not approved and the civil court ignores the disapproval and goes forward to implement the death penalty, this could mean that the court is secured by the backing and protection of the President in order to serve justice. This in turn reveals that Al-Sisi is truly willing and able to go forward with cleaning corruption and rolling back religious extremism in an effort to reform the country.

But Al-Sisi is a mystery. He recently gave a statement to the German press indicating his agreement with the official story of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood wherein Morsi was elected fairly and democratically and won with 55 percent of the vote. This is very odd since Al-Sisi’s own legitimacy as the people’s president rests on the opposite view — the well-known truth that Morsi became president through corrupt elections, violence, fraud, and outside interference.

The second alternative would be for the civil court to comply with the Grand Mufti’s disapproval of the death sentences, subjecting itself to the authority of the religious clerics which is current practice. In an unreformed Egypt this can be expected from the court.

If we find that the Mufti has approved the death sentences, we are experiencing Al-Sisi’s power for the first time within his term of office and know as well that he is genuine.  If so, the promise of modern reform has real potential, and Al-Sisi will have succeeded in spite of outside pressures (Merkel, Obama, and the CIA), Egypt’s political legacy (Mubarak, Sadat, and Nasser) and religious ultra-conservatives threatening secular initiatives (Salafists, Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Ahzar Institute).

The Coptic minority remains under the same pressures today as during previous administrations ruling Egypt. Muslim supremacies prevail, often with violence, against the sub-class within Egypt’s population. Al-Sisi, the man and the president, is yet a sign of hope for the country – Muslim and Christian watch Al-Sisi teetering between positions usually by omissions but not defaulting to the comfortable pattern of his predecessors.
