It’s Over! Dems Try To Object To Trump Certification As President… Hilarity Ensues

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton | Right Wing News

Laughing forever over this one. Just hysterical! You have got to watch the videos below. At a joint session of Congress yesterday, they went about the business of certifying Donald J. Trump as the 45th President of the United States through the Electoral College votes. Give credit where it is due here… Joe Biden did his job and handled this as he should have. Look closely as this all goes down. Behind Joe Biden sits the Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and he just cracked up over all this. I don’t blame him.

Barbara ‘commie’ Lee stood up and objected on her own behalf, millions of Americans and the Intelligence Committee over Trump being certified. She’s delusional… Lee does not speak for millions of Americans or the intelligence community. Biden cut her off and gaveled her out of order. She was also booed loudly. Such drama from leftist losers. But, oh so entertaining. And may I just say using the term ‘intelligence’ in the same paragraph as the name Barbara Lee is an oxymoron. Just sayin’.

From The Daily Caller:

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan couldn’t hide his smile when Vice President Joe Biden repeatedly told protesting Democrats to sit down and shut up.

A joint session of Congress met Friday to certify the Electoral College votes cast during the 2016 presidential race.

“Mr. President, I object on behalf of the millions of Americans, including members of the intelligence committee,” Rep. Barbara Lee said before Biden cut her off and she was drowned out by boos.

“There is no debate. Debate is prohibited,” he said. “Objection cannot be received.”

Ryan can be seen smiling throughout the protests.

“Mr. President, I object to the votes from the state of Wisconsin, which should not be legally certified,” Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee insisted.

“Please come to order,” a visibly frustrated Biden said.

Jackson Lee then tried to bring up “the Russian intrusion,” and was again silenced.

Ryan finally lost it and started laughing when Rep. Maxine Waters stood up and asked, “is there one United States senator who would join me in this letter?”

Biden kept pointing out that there was no debate and the objection could not be received. And you have Ryan smiling and smiling. Then here comes Sheila ‘red’ Jackson Lee objecting, claiming the votes in Wisconsin were not legally certified, when they were. Once again Biden called for order in the chamber. Lee popped up again like a demented Jack-in-the-Box, screeching over the ‘Russian intrusion’. Again, she was found out of order by Biden. That gavel got a real workout yesterday.

Paul Ryan finally just lost it when Maxine ‘Marxist’ Waters stood up and yelled, “Is there one United States senator who would join me in this letter?” Uh no… there wasn’t and she was found out of order and out of her ever freaking mind. Despite all the whining and gnashing of teeth, Trump was indeed certified as President. Let the games continue.

It’s over, so sayeth Joe Biden!!!

Ted Cruz: History Will Remember Obama and Kerry as Enemies of Israel

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton | Right Wing News

This is a clear example of why I supported and still do, Senator Ted Cruz. He held nothing back and lambasted both Barack Obama and John Kerry as shameful bitter clingers that betrayed Israel and stabbed her in the back, ambushing her at the UN like the cowards they are. Obama’s legacy will be one of treasonous diplomatic terrorism against Israel.

From Obama’s beginning, he has done his level evil best to destroy every underpinning that the principles of America have been set on. He has opened up a monstrous sinkhole of chaos underneath the very foundation of this country and has done a great job at trying to drop us into that abyss. Israel is our oldest and most steadfast ally. We share many things in common and both our countries have been a force for good in this world. Obama wants to destroy both Israel and the US. He is weakening Israel, so the Arab jackal states surrounding her can tear her to shreds. That will never happen and President-elect Donald Trump will stop much of this when he comes into office in just three weeks. Israel said this morning that they have waited 3,000 years… they can wait 30 more days and Trump is telling them to hold on, he’s coming.

From the US Senate/Ted Cruz:

“Like bitter clingers, President Obama and Secretary Kerry are spending every last minute of this administration wreaking havoc domestically and abroad. With their last breath in office, they have struck at Israel, through the United Nations and through today’s disgraceful speech.

“These acts are shameful. They are designed to secure a legacy, and indeed they have: history will record and the world will fully understand Obama and Kerry as relentless enemies of Israel. Their actions were designed to weaken and marginalize Israel, and to embolden its enemies.

“Today’s speech — like Kerry’s 2014 remarks likening Israel to an apartheid state — will enflame rising anti-Semitism in Europe. It will encourage the mullahs who hate Israel and hate America. And it will facilitate ‘law-fare,’ growing legal assaults on Israel through transnational legal fora.

“Kerry’s speech drew a stunning moral equivalence between our great ally Israel and the Palestinian Authority, currently formed in a ‘unity’ government with the vicious terrorists of Hamas. Secretary Kerry declared the Hamas regime in Gaza ‘radical,’ in the same way he declared the duly-elected government of Israel ‘extreme.’ He declared vicious terrorism sponsored by Hamas equal to Israeli settlements in West Bank. And he equated Israel’s celebration of its birth with the Palestinian description of this event as the ‘disaster.’ His speech attempted to lay out an historic and seismic shift towards the delegitimization of our ally, Israel, and the further empowerment of the Palestinian Authority.

“Kerry’s central conclusion, that ‘Israel can either be Jewish or democratic, it cannot be both’ is an inanity that passes as profound only in Ivory Tower faculty lounges. There are roughly 50 majority-Muslim countries in the world. There is one — only one — Jewish state. And yet, for Kerry and Obama, that is too much. The Israeli Knesset has 17 elected Arab members. It has Muslim members and Christian members. In contrast, one searches in vain for Muslim countries that have elected Jewish representatives.

“It is a sign of their radicalism and refusal to defend American interests, that Obama and Kerry choose to attack the only inclusive democracy in the Middle East — a strong, steadfast ally of America — while turning a blind eye to the Islamic terrorism that grows daily.

“America is an unshakable friend of Israel, and we are horrified at what has transpired this week.

“I believe Obama’s and Kerry’s shameful conduct will backfire. That it will be short-lived, and will inspire a bipartisan repudiation of their radical anti-Israel agenda.

“All Americans who understand the value of the U.S.-Israel alliance must immediately and unequivocally reject their false and dangerous narrative, and reassert our fundamental commitment to Israel’s security. Thankfully, Congress and the incoming administration can and I hope will take decisive action to intercept the administration’s final and desperate Hail Mary, and that should begin with eliminating U.S. funding to the U.N., unless and until this disgraceful resolution is reversed.

“I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle as well as the incoming administration to chart a new path forward based on America’s national security interests and clear-eyed reality, not on the Obama administration’s globalist agenda and wishful thinking.”

Obama, Kerry, Biden and others plotted this betrayal well in advance of the UN convening. Israel has a ton of proof of it and it will come out, I have no doubt of that. Kerry’s speech yesterday was the most shameful display of betrayal of an ally that I have ever witnessed in my lifetime, it was a sheer gift to the Islamists. I agree with Cruz, this will backfire on Obama and will strengthen support of Israel here in the US. I think it will also cause a major reassessment of the UN, with defunding and possibly withdrawal from their ranks altogether.

The “moral equivalence” that Palestine-defenders like John Kerry use to bludgeon Israel with while ignoring the evil pressed against them on all sides by Islamists who want to annihilate them is simply jaw dropping. This brazen (but inevitable) betrayal of Israel is the most shameful act to come from Obama in a long series of shameful acts. For eight long years, Obama has treated Israel like dirt, but that is about to change.

Ted Cruz said this when the resolution was first passed: “Every Obama foreign policy official should be ashamed of today’s U.N. resolution, and any official who disagrees with or hopes to avoid the anti-Israel legacy of this administration should resign on principle today.” That’s exactly right. The US should expel Palestinian diplomats and immediately cut off funding to the UN. We should also scale back ties with foreign nations that voted in favor of the controversial measure. A full investigation should be launched into the actions of Barack Obama, John Kerry and others over this horrific move.

With a Trump administration in place, we need to take a forceful stand against any and all that try to deligitimize Israel. Our response should be swift and forceful and it should be made clear that ANYONE out there that tries to attack the Jewish State will need to answer to the United States.

Leaked Transcript Shows Obama Worked with Palestinians on Anti-Israel Resolution

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton | Right Wing News

Last week, Obama and his jackals stabbed Israel in the back at the UN over the two-state solution. Bibi Netanyahu and other Israelis have come straight out and accused the Obama administration of being behind the UN resolution that took direct aim at Israel. And the proof of that duplicity is now coming out. John Kerry was actively striking a deal with the Palestinians according to transcripts coming out of Egypt. Obama, Kerry and Biden have all been caught red handed lying over this.

Congress started to move today to cut off funding to the UN until this resolution is reversed thanks to Ted Cruz. What the ruling tries to force is Israel handing over Christianity’s most holy sites to the Palestinians. They would have to forfeit Western Jerusalem to Islamists. Not going to happen. Meanwhile, Obama and others are calling the transcripts fabrications. I very much doubt that.

From the Jerusalem Post:

Prior to the UN Security Council vote on anti-Israeli settlement resolution 2334, US Secretary of State John Kerry met with a Palestinian delegation in early December in Washington to discuss the draft, agreeing to cooperate, according to transcripts released by Egyptian daily Al-Youm Al-Saba’a.

According to the report, Kerry along with US National Security Adviser Susan Rice, met with Secretary General of the PLO Executive Committee Saeb Erkat and Majed Faraj, head of the Palestinian Authority’s General Intelligence Service.

The reported transcripts reflect statements by numerous Israeli officials claiming that the resolution was orchestrated by the Obama administration. The source of the leaked transcripts was not named.

The United States on Friday broke with a longstanding approach of diplomatically shielding Israel and abstained on the United Nations Security Council resolution that passed with 14 countries in favor and none against.

“We have ironclad information that emanates from sources in the Arab world and that shows the Obama administration helped craft this resolution and pushed hard for its eventual passage,” said David Keyes, a spokesman for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The US State Department has denied claims that the US was involved in perpetuating the resolution.

Meanwhile, Erekat has denied the claims written in the documents.

A defiant Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday defended the US decision allowing the United Nations to condemn Israeli settlements, while lashing out at the so-called “settler agenda” which he claimed is hurting prospects for peace – in a wide-ranging speech that inflamed tensions with Israel and drew a swift rebuke from the Bibi Netanyahu. Bibi was pissed and I don’t blame him. Kerry doubled down on the betrayal and justified it. Just reprehensible and treasonous. What do you expect from these people who brought the Muslim Brotherhood into the White House and crawled between the sheets with Jihadists?

In a written statement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ripped Kerry’s speech as “skewed.” That’s putting it mildly. “Like the Security Council resolution that Secretary Kerry advanced in the UN, his speech tonight was skewed against Israel,” he said. “For over an hour, Kerry obsessively dealt with settlements and barely touched upon the root of the conflict — Palestinian opposition to a Jewish state in any boundaries.” Bibi then slammed Kerry and Obama: “Israelis do not need to be lectured about the importance of peace by foreign leaders.” Indeed, they don’t.

Trump is urging Israel to hold on for three more weeks until he comes into power. Netanyahu said he looks forward to working with the incoming Trump administration to “mitigate” the damage from the resolution and ultimately “repeal” it. Paul Ryan also had something to say about this monstrous move: “After allowing this anti-Israel resolution to pass the UN, Secretary Kerry has no credibility to speak on Israeli-Palestinian peace.”

Obama is deliberately sabotaging Israel and making Trump’s transition as difficult as possible. The White House hotly denied the report in the Egyptian media claiming Kerry and National Security Adviser Susan Rice discussed the UN resolution with a top Palestinian official nearly two weeks before Friday’s Security Council vote. Ned Price, spokesman for the US National Security Council, called the report a “fabrication” and said the “meeting never occurred.” Netanyahu reiterated that his government has “absolutely incontestable evidence” that the US organized and advanced the resolution. And he referred to the details reported in Egyptian media as the “tip of the iceberg.” The State Department’s own website reflects that Kerry was scheduled for a meeting with the Palestinian official at the State Department on Dec. 12th, around the time of the reported discussions. The official website, however, offers no details on what was discussed. Sucks to be caught with your hands in the Middle East cookie jar.

John Kerry stated Wednesday that if Israel chooses to remain a singular state with Palestine, “it cannot be both” Jewish and democratic. That’s simple then… they remain Jewish and tell the US to stuff it. In reality, it’s a false choice; a straw man argument. It’s a lie and the last wicked gasp of a failed legacy and presidency.

Joe Biden Flashback: ‘I went to law school on a full academic scholarship’ (he didn’t)

By: Renee Nal
New Zeal

Joe Biden Campaign

As the mainstream media doubles down on their blatant deception regarding Dr. Ben Carson and West Point, the author thought Americans should be reminded about an actual scholarship lie told by Vice President Joe Biden.

Vice President Joe Biden told some whoppers while he was running for Senator back in 1987. Here is one:

“I went to law school on a full academic scholarship, the only one in my class to have a full academic scholarship…”

It was a big fat lie.

As reported at the LA Times, Biden “had a partial, need-based scholarship as well as student loans.”

The article quoted Biden as complaining:

“I guess every single word I’ve said is going to be dissected now.”

Watch (and whoa, look at his hair!):

While we are on the subject of lying, the PC Graveyard reminds us that it is quite likely that Hillary Clinton lied to female veterans in 1994 about trying to join the Marines, considering that she “organized teach-ins on her opposition to the Vietnam War.”

Bonus! Here is another Joe Biden (racist) flashback:

“You cannot go to a 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian Accent.” -Senator Joe Biden

“Uncle Joe” is not as innocent as you may think. Read more on Joe Biden here.

Biden Gets The Commie Vote

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

Joe Biden

I come from a family of Christians who are loyal union members. My father belonged to the Millwright/Carpenter Union his whole life. My cousin and uncle were both Ironworkers. The sad part is, big parts of my family voted for Barack Obama… not once, but twice. Even sadder is that if Joe Biden runs, they’ll vote for him as well. Why? Because he’s pro-labor and that’s all they can see. It doesn’t matter if pro-labor means pro-worker or not. They have one issue and have blinders on. It has now caused an insurmountable schism in my family which saddens me greatly. If my father were still alive, as pro-union as he was until the last decade or so of his life, there’s no way he would have ever supported these craven Marxists. No way.

I fully expect Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren to run on the Democratic ticket for the presidency in 2016. Hillary Clinton is damaged goods and cratering in the polls. She’s also under investigation by the FBI and sooner or later, she’ll be charged. Then some type of pardon will be forthcoming. The Democrats can’t abide Sanders, so Biden will fill the breach most likely. But trust me, if the nominee were to be Socialist Sanders, my family would vote for him. Once again, because he’s pro-labor.

Biden hasn’t declared yet, but today, on Labor Day, the Vice President spoke at an AFL-CIO Labor Day event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He marched with Richard Trumka arm in arm in that event. Biden thundered, “I’m mad, I’m angry!” He railed that the U.S. economy is “devastating for workers.” Well, duh… you helped Barack Obama create that ‘devastating economy,’ Joe. Now you point the finger at who? Bush? After 7 years, really? Or do you point at Barack Obama, claiming you had nothing to do with it? That’s ridiculous. Oh, I’ve got it! Blame the Republicans in Congress – impotent, lame, water boys that they are for Barack Obama. Yeah, that’s the ticket. No one is buying it except the brainwashed, feeble and communist. There seem to be plenty of those voters out there though.

Biden thanked “my friend” Richard Trumka, president of the AFL-CIO. There wouldn’t be a single basic right, from a 40-hour week to sick leave, there wouldn’t be a single basic right out there … but for labor,” Biden said. “You build the middle class. That’s not an exaggeration.” Then Biden turned his invective rhetoric on the straw man of growing economic inequality. “Let me tell you something, man,” Biden said. “The tax code’s not fair. The wealthy aren’t paying their fair share. There used to be one America. Today 1 percent of Americans owns 40 percent of all wealth in America,” the Vice President said. “A level playing field doesn’t exist. It’s the way the tax code has been setup,” Biden charged.

Some are saying the unions are playing coy, courting both Biden and Sanders, when they fully intend to support Hillary Clinton. I wouldn’t count on that. The unions have always loved Joe Biden and he loves them right back. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if the unions throw in behind Biden. Trumka met with Biden last week in DC and declared the race wide open. “Biden’s a good friend — he’s been a champion of working people,” Trumka said this week during a breakfast with reporters. “He would be a good candidate. He would be a good president.” Biden will commit to not only fight for trade protections, but also push for an increase in the minimum wage and expand union membership.

Amid chants of “run Joe, run,” Biden marched in Pittsburgh’s annual Labor Day parade on Monday as speculation swirled about a potential late entry into the Democratic presidential race. He donned a black-and-gold United Steelworkers Union hat. That must have had my cousins cheering energetically.

Biden later walked along the city’s downtown with a large contingent of steelworkers, hearing encouraging words along the parade route. “Give it a go, Joe!” shouted one delusional woman. Biden is playing hard to get and said last week he wasn’t certain if he and his family had the “emotional energy” for another campaign. Right. That’s why he’s expending all his energies at these events. For the sheer ‘fun’ of it.

The campaign was clearly on the minds of his adoring fans. During a speech before a few hundred steelworkers, Biden said the media liked to portray him as a populist. “They’ll probably say (I’m) competing with Bernie Sanders, who is doing a helluva job by the way.” May I just say, commies of a feather. They really want the same thing.

When one man shouted that Biden should run for president, the Vice President responded, “You gotta talk to my wife about that. I gotta talk to my wife about that.” Tell me, Joe… will she have her shotgun when you talk? His wife, Jill Biden, is said to share some of her husband’s misgivings about whether the family should pursue another presidential bid following the death of their 46 year-old son, Beau Biden. It’s shameful how Biden is using the death of his son in all this – he brings it up over and over again. It’s simply disgusting.

The media is just drooling over this. Wearing a white polo shirt and looking fit and trim, Biden had earlier repeatedly flitted from side to side of the downtown streets clogged with union workers, floats and the thunderous brass of marching bands in Pennsylvania. He was pressing the flesh and probably hugging babies, while slapping union workers on the back. He certainly had their ear: “Why in God’s name should a man or woman working in a steel mill making $50,000 pay a higher rate than someone that makes tens of millions of dollars a year on Wall Street? I mean, I am serious.” Once again, he would know, as he’s one of the wealthy ones he’s railing against. It’s pandering and hypocritical.

And if this isn’t damned close to a union endorsement, I don’t know what is:

Rich Trumka, the President of the AFL-CIO, who controls a valuable political endorsement for Democratic candidates introduced Biden as a friend, a brother and “a great champion of working men and working women.”

Leo Gerard, of the United Steelworkers Union meanwhile made the implicit case that he was the true heir of the post-Great Recession era of job creation under President Barack Obama.

“Joe Biden has been in the room, he has been the voice of working people in that room.”

Trumka said the Vice President got a strong response from the city’s workers. “If you’re looking for energy, this is a great place to get energy today,” the labor leader said. You betcha! They’ve got the moron and union vote sown up. Biden definitely gets the commie vote – the unions love him and he’s their guy.

Media Nervous Over Hillary Sting Videos

By: Cliff Kincaid
Accuracy in Media

You know an event is potentially damaging to Hillary Clinton or other top Democrats when Dana Milbank of The Washington Post shows up. Hence, Milbank’s attendance at Tuesday’s James O’Keefe news conference on Clinton campaign violations of federal election law was an indication that the Democrats are concerned. This time, despite video evidence of top staffers for Hillary accepting cash from a known foreign national, most of the media reaction was vintage Milbank. “Is this a joke?” the media wanted to know.

DSC06808

In fairness, Milbank’s questions seemed mild, when compared to some of the other media reactions.

The joke question came from Olivia Nuzzi of The Daily Beast, with other liberals joining in and wondering what the press conference was all about. The law says that foreigners are strictly prohibited from contributing to U.S. political campaigns, and O’Keefe had dramatic evidence of the campaign law violation. Thevideo was played on a television screen for all to see.

Looking for some reason not to pay attention to the facts, some in the media seized upon the small amount of money that was used to pay for the Hillary campaign merchandise in question.

This was not the only media reaction, but it seemed to be one of the most popular. “James O’Keefe Targets Clinton Campaign For Legally Selling A T-Shirt,” was the dishonest headline over an article attacking O’Keefe published by Media Matters, the pro-Hillary and George Soros-funded group. This article set the tone for the pro-Hillary contingent in the press.

However, the great number of journalists who showed up was an indication that, when it comes to Hillary, nobody really knows how serious the law-breaking will get. O’Keefe suggested that more evidence against the campaign is yet to come.

Milbank may be in a quandary about what to do with Hillary, who is dropping in the polls against the socialist career politician Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and leaving the Democratic presidential field open to other candidates, most notably Vice President Joe Biden, a notorious plagiarist. (In Biden’s case, Media Matters had also defended him, insisting the plagiarism wasn’t as serious as some knew to be the case).

Milbank’s modus operandi in the past has been to ridicule conservatives who provide evidence of corruption by top Democrats such as Hillary and Barack Obama. For example, he attacked those who investigated Obama’s relationship with communist Frank Marshall Davis. He showed up at an AIM conference to write an article distorting the findings of the Citizens’ Commission on Benghazi, which investigated Hillary’s role in covering up the terrorist attack that killed four Americans.

Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist has written that Milbank “serially exaggerates or distorts what he writes about. It’s just what he does.”

But those distortions won’t suffice when the video evidence itself can be seen by millions, telling the real story that some in the media try to conceal. As Project Veritas emphasized, the video shows Molly Barker, the Director of Marketing for Hillary Clinton’s national campaign, knowingly breaking campaign finance law by accepting a straw donation from a foreign national.

O’Keefe, who almost single-handedly took down the Alinskyite ACORN organization, has also investigated Planned Parenthood and National Public Radio. He wrote the book, Breakthrough: Our Guerilla War to Expose Fraud and Save Democracy, and has targeted Republican politicians in the past as well.

His reputation meant that O’Keefe’s Project Veritas Action news conference at the National Press Club was packed, with at least seven television cameras there to record the proceedings.

Washington Post reporter David Weigel conveyed the message from the Clinton campaign that the event was much ado about nothing. But at least he did an advance story about the video and got the Clinton campaign response.

Los Angeles Times reporter Evan Halper played the story to the advantage of the Hillary campaign, insisting that the video somehow missed its target. It was “Hardly the stuff of a Pulitzer Prize,” he insisted. He found it newsworthy, and somehow relevant to the issue of federal law violations, that the journalist from The Daily Beast had treated the video as a joke.

The “joke” response said more about the lack of seriousness from The Daily Beast than it did about O’Keefe’s video. Making matters worse, Olivia Nuzzi of The Daily Beast seemed proud of the fact that she didn’t grasp the seriousness of the election law violations, highlighting her “Is this a joke?” responses on her Twitter account.

O’Keefe may have the last laugh, as he repeatedly emphasized that more videos are coming, and that other Hillary officials may be in them and forced to resign. Reporters in attendance, anxious to dismiss these charges, seemed nervous about this prospect. They repeatedly pressed O’Keefe to spill more details about other undercover operatives he may have in the Clinton and other campaigns. He told the media they would just have to wait.

It was nervous laughter from the press, as they couldn’t figure out what other damaging evidence O’Keefe’s crew may have against the Democratic presidential candidate.

In a message to his supporters, O’Keefe noted, “Since at least 1996, Hillary and her husband Bill have been accused of accepting foreign contributions to further their political ambition. Back then, it was China accused of funneling massive amounts of money into the Clinton campaign and the DNC [Democratic National Committee]. The State Department investigated the matter. Three Americans were convicted of crimes, one of whom, Johnny Chung, admitted that $35,000 of his contributions came from the Chinese military. But Bill and Hillary got off clean.”

Not all media were prepared to laugh this all away. In his story about the O’Keefe news conference, Alan Rappeport of The New York Times seemed to admit that O’Keefe had struck gold, noting, “Foreign donations are a sensitive subject for the Clintons, as their family foundation has been under scrutiny for accepting money from overseas while Mrs. Clinton was secretary of state, and recent State Department emails showed that former President Bill Clinton tried to get permission to give paid speeches in North Korea and the Democratic Republic of Congo.”

One question is whether the illegal transactions captured in the Project Veritas video are part of a pattern of illegal conduct. The media will just have to wait. Maybe their laughter will die down in the wake of more videos being released.

Asked why the major media don’t do these kinds of undercover investigations and the job falls on him and his staff, O’Keefe dismissed the significance of liberal media bias and said that he thinks journalists are more motivated by a desire to protect their access to candidates like Hillary. In other words, reporters have to flatter the candidates with fawning coverage.

But it’s increasingly difficult to portray Hillary in a favorable light. At the campaign event where the video of the illegal contribution was recorded, Hillary had told the crowd that she would “stop the endless flow of secret, unaccountable money that is distorting our elections, corrupting our political process, and drowning out the voices of our people.”

A reporter seeking to maintain access to a candidate like this, caught in scandal after scandal, is something that is destined to truly become a joke.

Why the Democrats Are So Desperate

By: Cliff Kincaid
Accuracy in Media

The conventional wisdom is that Joe Biden is considering a presidential run because Hillary Clinton’s campaign is scandal-plagued, mostly over the handling of classified emails. But the prospect of Bernie Sanders winning the Democratic presidential nomination has to be regarded as even more of a serious problem for Democrats. Sanders is so loony and far-left that he could easily be portrayed by the opposition as not just a “democratic socialist,” which he claims to be, but a hard-core communist with a bizarre spiritual adviser.

On a left-wing website called Reader Supported News, writer Steve Weissmanfrets that Sanders will be the target of a “red-baiting campaign,” in the same way that Jeremy Corbyn has been exposed in Britain. Corbyn, a socialist, is hoping to lead Britain’s Labor Party. He refuses to deny being a Marxist and has the support of communists. Weissman wants Corbyn and Sanders to stand up for “twenty-first century socialism” and take on their critics.

“The fact that Jeremy Corbyn has made it onto the ballot paper for Labor leader is great news for all socialists,” says the British Communist Party. It notes that a poll on the website of the Daily Mirror found that 83 percent declared him the winner of the first leadership debate, while in a separate survey of Labor Party members “he came first with an impressive 47 percent.”

But it looks like the Democratic Party in the U.S. may have a problem with going this far in too overt a manner. It was one thing for a first-term senator from Illinois named Barack Obama to win the presidency by hiding his Marxist background and outlook. After all, the media were prepared to hide anything to make him the first black president.

It would be quite another thing for long-time socialist and career politician Bernie Sanders, who supported Soviet “peace” initiatives in the 1980s, to hide his ideology, especially when he’s running as an avowed socialist. Sanders appears to be going a bit too far in the left-wing direction, even for Obama’s Democratic Party.

But there’s another big problem for Sanders. He has been closely linked to the New Age spiritual teacher Marianne Williamson, who has made millions of dollars by claiming there are many different pathways to heaven. “The creative challenge of spiritual life is to know enough about God to be hopeful,” she wrote in one of her books. “From Jesus to Buddha to Moses to Mohammed, wayshowers have risen out of the timeline of history to draw maps and pave roads to a more perfect world.”

As we previously reported, the term “wayshower” is a reference to a spiritual master of some kind who guides humanity to a better world. But the idea of Mohammed, the founder of Islam, being a role model, is not the kind of issue that Sanders would want to explain on the presidential campaign trail. Sanders’ association with Williamson is an embarrassment.

Explaining the role of Mohammed as a spiritual hero has been made more difficult by the release of Glenn Beck’s powerful new book, It IS About Islam, exposing the nature of this religion. In contrast to Jesus, who preached love, Mohammed was a violent hater who justified war on his opponents to build an empire. This may sound harsh, but “The time for worrying about being insensitive or hurting other people’s feelings is long past,” Beck argues. His book quotes from Muslim scriptures and authoritative documents to make his case.

Beck says the “mainstream media” have “essentially ordered a blackout” of the truth about Islam. Nevertheless, the truth is getting out, and Beck has been making several important media appearances to promote his book. It is inevitable that Sanders will be asked why New Ager Marianne Williamson, who failed in her own run for a Democratic congressional seat, is backing him and writing articles about revolution on his presidential campaign website. Sanders will not be able to avoid being asked whether he agrees with Williamson’s characterization of Mohammed as a positive influence on human history. He will also be asked why he had appeared at her “Sister Giant” conference together with proponents of legalizing mind-altering drugs.

So the problem for the Democratic Party goes beyond some classified Hillary emails not being handled properly and possibly falling into the hands of our enemies. It’s that the success of her opponent, Bernie Sanders, has exposed how a significant portion of Democratic Party voters are willing to go over the edge with him by openly aligning themselves with a foreign ideology—Marxism—that would make him a certain loser in the general election.

Sanders will have to explain why he has abandoned capitalism, which admittedly has flaws but has brought more freedom and material well-being to more people than any other system in history. He will be asked why, despite his criticism of global trade, he came out in favor of putting American dollars in Communist Cuba. “American businesses are losing billions of dollars because of the economic embargo,” Sanders said. “Meanwhile, Canadians and Europeans are creating jobs through their investments in Cuba.” He ignores the fact that these “investments” benefit the Communist regime and not the Cuban people. Cuban-Americans question why Sanders wants “to partner with Castro’s monopolies and exploit the island’s captive labor.”

Perhaps it’s because Sanders is more of a communist than a socialist.

In Britain, Corbyn doesn’t have a New Age spiritual adviser like Sanders. But he does have links to a cult known as the Lyndon LaRouche movement. Corbyn gave the Australian branch of the group an interview about the BRICS process, the movement by various countries led by Russia to design an alternative to global capitalism. During the interview he spouts all kinds of Marxist gibberish about different topics, even blaming right-wingers for the socialist mismanagement of the economy in Venezuela.

Sanders talks nonsense as well, such as his attacks on the billionaire Koch brothers for making products that people in America and around the world actually use. But as we demonstrated in a recent column, Sanders has been curiously silent about the insider trading conviction and currency manipulations of Democratic Party money bags George Soros.

“I am not a billionaire,” Sanders said, when asked about GOP candidate Donald Trump. No, but Sanders is running for the presidential nomination of a political party whose activist groups have been subsidized not by one but several billionaires—Soros, Tom Steyer, and Tim Gill among them.

It would look bad for a political party backed by billionaires to nominate an open socialist for the White House. Democratic Party insiders have to understand the problem. That’s why an alternative to Hillary and Sanders must be found.

CNN Corrects Story About Trump and Biden—Still Gets it Wrong

By: Roger Aronoff
Accuracy in Media

When the news media correct themselves, those corrections often remain unacknowledged. This permits a false perception of accuracy. It also allows incorrect, damaging information to be disseminated by news reporters regardless of accountability.

CNN, in particular, has adopted a system which informs its readers that an article has been “updated.” What exactly do those updates entail?

In one case, it appears that updates for CNN may include an after-the-fact correction of a blatant factual error when a clearly posted correction is necessary to inform the public of the changes within. The CNN article, “Donald Trump knocks Joe Biden for plagiarism in law school,” by Tom LoBianco was updated on August 13 at 11:41 a.m., but as of this writing what appears to be an earlier uncorrected version remains on the WMAL website.

Republican presidential candidate Trump’s original comments clearly indicate that he criticized Vice President Joe Biden for plagiarism in general, not just his law school plagiarism.

“I think I’d match up great. I’m a job producer. I’ve had a great record, I haven’t been involved in plagiarism,” said Trump on Hugh Hewitt’s August 12 radio show. “I think I would match up very well against [Biden].”

The headlines that remain at WMAL, CNN, and WPTZ News Channel 5 are, therefore, deceptive, and falsely give the impression that Biden’s behavior is so far in the past that it merits little further inquiry.

“Republican frontrunner Donald Trump said he would ‘do great’ in a hypothetical matchup with Vice President Joe Biden in part because of the prospective candidate’s plagiarism in law school,” states the WMAL version of LoBianco’s article. “Biden admitted to plagiarizing a law review article while in law school—lifting from writings by British politician Neil Kinnock—and it became an issue that haunted his failed 1988 presidential bid.”

This reporting confuses two separate instances, and downplays the many missteps made by Biden.

Now LoBianco’s article states, “Biden admitted to plagiarizing while in law schoolas well as lifting from writings by British politician Neil Kinnock while on the campaign trail—and it became an issue that haunted his failed 1988 presidential bid.”

According to Slate Magazine, Biden’s plagiarism was pervasive. “What is certain is that Biden didn’t simply borrow the sort of boilerplate that counts as common currency in political discourse—phrases like ‘fighting for working families,’” wroteDavid Greenberg for Slate in 2008. “What he borrowed was Kinnock’s life.”

That was during Biden’s failed 1988 presidential bid. This issue could haunt him again if, as some believe, he decides to run for president in the upcoming election.

“Over the next days, it emerged that Biden had lifted significant portions of speeches from Robert Kennedy and Hubert Humphrey,” wrote Greenberg. “Yet another uncited borrowing came from John F. Kennedy,” he later added.

“If that wasn’t bad enough, Biden admitted the next day that while in law school he had received an F for a course because he had plagiarized five pages from a published article in a term paper that he submitted.”

Greenberg also wrote that Biden falsely claimed that he had three undergraduate degrees when he had only earned one in a double major.

In other words, Biden didn’t just, as Greenberg wrote, lift Kinnock’s life wholesale—he demonstrates an early pattern of fudging and false attribution for personal gain.

News organizations like CNN must hold their own reporters accountable for publishing accurate facts because they are in the daily business of informing the public. While CNN should receive some credit for updating its news article, it should have done so openly and with a formal correction. It also needs to update its misleading title. Trump said nothing about law school. The plagiarism issue that most people associate with Biden is the one involving Kinnock.

What I see from the mainstream media is often spin, deceit, and the failure to report on important issues. Covering up one’s mistakes instead of acknowledging them is just another way that journalists can skirt accountability.

The Real Drama is in the Democratic Primary

By: Roger Aronoff
Accuracy in Media

While the attention of the world was on the first Republican presidential debates in Cleveland on Thursday night, the drama in the Democratic Party may soon overshadow anything the GOP has to offer. Look at what’s happening on the way to Hillary Clinton’s coronation in 2016. All of a sudden, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), a self-identified “democratic socialist,” is within striking distance in some of the key early primary states. But the real action is with Vice President Joe Biden. Will he or won’t he challenge Mrs. Clinton? That is the question.

If we take our cues from The New York Times, Hillary should be worried. First came the story about two inspectors general seeking a criminal referral involving Mrs. Clinton’s use of her email server while she was secretary of state, and the potential mishandling of classified material. Then, after pushback from the Clinton camp, the Times pulled back, to some extent. No, it wasn’t a criminal referral, they determined on second thought. Yet now the FBI has opened an investigation, and they only get involved when crimes are alleged, or there is the possibility that national secrets may have been compromised.

Are we witnessing a situation like 1968, when Eugene McCarthy entered the Democratic primary race against then-President Lyndon Johnson, and when McCarthy did well in New Hampshire, then-New York Senator Bobby Kennedy decided to jump into the race. Will Biden be Bobby Kennedy to Sanders’ Gene McCarthy, in terms of challenging the presumed Democratic Party standard bearer, once it has become clear that the standard bearer is vulnerable? Have the media and their allies in the Democratic Party decided that Hillary is too badly damaged, and ethically challenged to win the election?

The news media are star-struck by The New York Times, which, allegedly, provides “all the news that’s fit to print.” As Accuracy in Media has repeatedly demonstrated, the news that the Times editors actually see fit to print is often full of bias, inaccuracies, and complete spin. And, sometimes, the Times transparently involves itself in promoting or destroying candidates.

Maureen Dowd’s recent Times column, “Joe Biden in 2016: What Would Beau Do?,” begins by comparing scandal-plagued Hillary Clinton with Tom Brady, and then proceeds to promote Vice President Biden’s chances by recounting the emotional words that sons Beau and Hunter apparently used to encourage their father to run for president while Beau laid on his death bed, dying from brain cancer.

“When Beau realized he was not going to make it, he asked his father if he had a minute to sit down and talk,” writes Dowd. “Of course, honey,” said his father, she recounts.

Dowd continues:

At the table, Beau told his dad he was worried about him.

My kid’s dying, an anguished Joe Biden thought to himself, and he’s making sure I’m O.K.

‘Dad, I know you don’t give a damn about money,’ Beau told him, dismissing the idea that his father would take some sort of cushy job after the vice presidency to cash in.

Beau was losing his nouns and the right side of his face was partially paralyzed. But he had a mission: He tried to make his father promise to run, arguing that the White House should not revert to the Clintons and that the country would be better off with Biden values.

Hunter also pushed his father, telling him, ‘Dad, it’s who you are.’”

Where, exactly, could Dowd have received that heart-wrenching anecdote? Only from the friends, family, or supporters of the very person who some speculate may jump into the 2016 presidential race.

“And so I completely have faith in that Beau Biden anecdote,” exclaimed Helene Cooper on Meet the Press the next day. “I think it’s really telling.” Cooper believes Dowd’s story because, “Before she was a columnist, she was a fantastic political reporter. She has really good sources.”

“But, you know, when I think about what the Bidens have been through, and I think about that if Maureen’s sources are correct, then that son’s request is very powerful, I would think,” Kathleen Parker sympathetically added on Meet the Press.

No mention was made that The Wall Street Journal reported that both sons were “urging” the vice president to run for president—back in June. “Before his death last month, elder son Beau Biden encouraged his father to get into the race, people familiar with the matter said,” reported the Journal on June 28. “And Hunter Biden told a friend in recent weeks he, too, would like to see the vice president wage one more campaign for the White House.”

“It’s no secret that he’s thinking about this….I’m glad he’s thinking about this. But he hasn’t made up his mind,” said Beau Biden, the Times reported this April.

Beau’s consistent support for his father to become president is clearly nothing new. What’s new was the Times’ coming to the same conclusion as The Wall Street Journal. When the Times reports the story, even through a columnist as opposed to a reporter, it becomes a legitimate story for the rest of the media. We pointed out the likelihood of Biden’s entry into the race a month ago, based on the Journal and other stories out at the time.

Knowing the bitter history between the Clintons and Obama, one has to wonder about the timing of recent events. Did the FBI start their investigation, which isn’t being called a criminal investigation at this time, at the urging of President Obama, who would obviously prefer that Biden carry on his legacy, rather than Hillary? Obama could never trust Hillary to be loyal to his disastrous policies and controversial legacy. But Biden? Yes, he most likely would stay loyal to Obama. This has the potential to make the Republican race seem dull.

Donald Trump’s Greatest Hits

By: Cliff Kincaid
Accuracy in Media

Donald Trump has gotten popular, in part, by challenging the media. But he has praised journalists on occasion. His 2011 book, Time to Get Tough, said David Gregory was “doing a fine job filling some awfully big shoes over at Meet the Press.” It was a reference to legendary and highly respected host Tim Russert, who had passed away.

So-called “Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd,” who replaced Gregory, is a favorite Trump target. “The thing I find most offensive about Chuck Todd is the fact that he pretends to be an objective journalist,” Trump writes, “when in reality the guy is a partisan hack.”

In many ways, as Trump said, David Gregory was doing a fine job. Some of the criticism of Gregory’s performance as “Meet the Press” host missed the mark, such as when he interviewed Edward Snowden collaborator Glenn Greenwald. As we noted at the time, some in the media were aghast that Gregory asked Greenwald a perfectly reasonable question on “Meet the Press:” “To the extent that you have aided and abetted Snowden, even in his current movements, why shouldn’t you, Mr. Greenwald, be charged with a crime?”

Snowden, the NSA leaker, has been charged with espionage and still resides in Russia.

In his book, Trump takes on Jon Stewart, the host of “The Daily Show” on the Comedy Central network who is quitting after years of service to President Obama and the liberal-left. Stewart’s strategy is spewing curse words and invective toward conservatives and Republicans.

Trump recognized Stewart as Obama’s tool before it was recently revealed that Stewart was secretly meeting with people in the Obama White House, including President Obama, in efforts “by the president and his communications team to tap into Mr. Stewart’s influence with younger voters,” as The New York Times put it.

“I actually enjoy the guy,” Trump’s book says of Stewart, “but when he did a segment mocking presidential candidate Herman Cain, and used a very racist and degrading tone that was insulting to the African American community, did he get booted off the air like Don Imus? No. Where was the Reverend Jesse Jackson? Where was the Reverend Al Sharpton? Where was Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd to provide hard-hitting journalistic ‘analysis?’  Nowhere. Stewart should have lost his job—at least temporarily. But he didn’t and he won’t because liberals in the media always get a free pass, no matter how bad their behavior.”

Cain himself had noted that Stewart had mocked him using the racially-charged “Amos & Andy” dialect. He concluded that Stewart has a problem with black conservatives.

In other comments in his book, Trump discussed the journalists “who are obsessed with protecting Obama,” noting that ABC’s George Stephanopoulos is among the “big Obama fans.”  He added that “it was incredible to see how overprotective reporters got toward Obama when I simply said what everyone in America was thinking: ‘Where’s the birth certificate?’”

While he praises Fox News and Roger Ailes, the executive behind the popular channel, Trump faults the “disappointing behavior by people in the press” which “occurs on both sides of the aisle,” and singles out Charles Krauthammer of Fox News for special criticism. Trump said Krauthammer had attacked him on the air as a joke candidate, and that he was not given any rebuttal time.

Discussing a speech he gave to Republicans, during which he had used “strong language,” Trump admits, “I’m not a big curser but it did take place” and the controversial remarks were reported by the media. But Trump counters: “Of course, Joe Biden dropped the f-word in front of the entire media on a stage with the president. But Biden gets a pass because he’s with Obama, and as we all know, Obama can do no wrong in the media’s eyes.”

Other quotable comments from his book include the observation that The New York Times is Obama’s “favorite newspaper,” and that “The press constantly maligns, ridicules, and mocks the Tea Party folks.”

During the current campaign, Trump has not shied away from putting reporters on the spot.

Asked a question by Telemundo anchor José Díaz-Balart, who distorted his position on illegal immigration, Trump fired back, “You know what, that’s a typical case. Wait. That’s a typical case of the press with misinterpretation. They take a half a sentence, then they take a quarter of a sentence, they put it all together. It’s a typical thing. And you’re with Telemundo, and Telemundo should be ashamed.”

In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, he said, “Anderson, you are not a baby, okay. You are not a baby.”

Asked by NBC’s Katy Tur if he had a gun and used it, he responded, “It is none of your business, it is really none of your business. I have a license to have a gun.”

After The Wall Street Journal attacked Trump and his conservative supporters in the media, the businessman responded by saying the paper had a “dwindling” readership and “is worth about one-tenth of what it was purchased for…”

After Bill Kristol of The Weekly Standard said he was “finished” with Trump, he responded, “Bill, your small and slightly failing magazine will be a giant success when you finally back Trump.”

Fox News media reporter Howard Kurtz notes, “Look, Trump thrives on being attacked. He’s a great counterpuncher. He particularly relishes doing battle with the media. And this latest story hands him a big fat gift to do just that.”

That “latest story” was in The Daily Beast and concerned some allegations about alleged marital rape from Trump’s divorce proceedings. Trump’s ex-wife Ivana responded, “I have recently read some comments attributed to me from nearly 30 years ago at a time of very high tension during my divorce from Donald. The story is totally without merit.”

She added, “Donald and I are the best of friends and together have raised three children that we love and are very proud of. I have nothing but fondness for Donald and wish him the best of luck on his campaign.”

Since then, a story has surfaced about Trump criticizing an opposing attorney who wanted to breast-pump in front of him. Trump told CNN he may have said to her that it was “disgusting.” He added, “Bottom line. I beat her.” He said the judge had even awarded him legal fees.

For turning the tables on the media, Trump deserves the praise of those who are sick and tired of the liberal media setting the national agenda and demonizing conservatives.

I have a feeling that the Donald Trump hit parade will continue.
