Grover Norquist – The Enemy From Within… On The Right

It’s all about money and political correctness. Money has bought tolerance. It has bought admittance onto some of the most prestigious corporate boards out there. It has bought control over conservative conclaves and it controls the GOP. A famous literary Nobel laureate by the name of Thomas Mann who escaped Germany in 1928 and became an American, wrote in one of his books, tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil. That’s where we are today as a nation and that especially applies to conservatives. Conservatives have welcomed with open arms a known agent of influence — an obvious enemy from within — Grover Norquist. He brings money and power to the table and he wields a massive amount of power within the GOP. He is our modern day Alger Hiss. This infiltrator is being funded by the likes of Karl Rove, who gave him $26 million in 2012 alone, via American Crossroads, donated to American Tax Reform. Norquist also receives a great deal of money from the Koch brothers. Does anyone honestly believe these power brokers don’t know what they are buying? Who they are putting in control?

Grover Norquist has made his bones on the portrayal that he is a small government guy and a warrior against taxation. That sounds great – sounds very, very conservative… until you see what else he is up to. Until you dig just a bit. He is a big time conservative operative that has been around forever and knows everyone. If he doesn’t like someone or approve of his actions, that person becomes persona non grata in the GOP. This is a man who sits on the boards of CPAC and the NRA. He’s also allegedly behind increasing exclusion of conservatives — counterterrorist experts and other vocal bloggers — who are also against radical Islam, from CPAC in recent years. More and more are being turned away from CPAC, not being allowed in. I’m one of them. At the 2011 CPAC conference, Norquist told the Soros-funded organization Think Progress that Islam “is completely consistent with the US Constitution and a free and open society.” In early November 2011, Hoover Institution fellow Paul Sperry described Norquist as someone who “dress[es] up [Muslim] Brotherhood agents who underwrite him as patriotic conservatives in order to give them political cover and gain the trust of the GOP establishment. Then with the backing of duped party leaders secured, he promotes these neo-Islamists to positions of power inside government.” Remind me again the difference between this and what Obama is doing with the Muslim Brotherhood.

In addition to his work with ATR, ACU, and the Islamic Institute, Norquist serves on the boards of numerous organizations, including GOProud, the Hispanic Leadership Fund, the Indian-American Republican Caucus, the Nixon Center and ParentalRights.org.

Agents of Influence from Glenn Beck:

Glenn Beck should be commended for taking on Grover Norquist. He should have been outed years and years ago. Beck devoted two shows to Norquist this week. The first laid out his connections to the Muslim Brotherhood. In the second show, he had Grover on to defend himself. The weasel did a very bad job of defending his record. His demeanor and posturing screamed that he was lying. He only went on Beck’s show after he petulantly emailed Beck that he was backing out and then reversed himself because he realized how bad it made him look.

Here’s the full interview between Glenn Beck and Grover Norquist. It is one of the most painful exchanges I have ever seen. Watch and cringe:

A little background on Norquist. He was born in 1956 and grew up in Massachusetts. His father was a vice president of Polaroid Corporation. He first became involved in politics when he volunteered for Nixon’s 1968 campaign. Norquist went to Harvard where he earned his BA and MBA. He describes himself as a “boring white bread Methodist.” In 2004, he married a Palestinian Muslim named Samah Alrayyes, a Kuwaiti PR specialist who was formerly a director of the Islamic Free Market Institute and specialist at the Bureau of Legislative and Public Affairs at United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The couple has adopted two children, both girls, one of whom was adopted from the city of Bethlehem. According to friend and former roommate John Fund, Norquist’s devotion to his political causes is “monk-like” and comparable to that of Ralph Nader. Monk-like … sounds so much better than obsessive.

Norquist is the founder and president of Americans for Tax Reform, an organization that opposes all tax increases and a co-founder of the Islamic Free Market Institute. A (so-called) libertarian-leaning Republican, he is the primary promoter of the “Taxpayer Protection Pledge,” a pledge signed by lawmakers who agree to oppose increases in marginal income tax rates for individuals and businesses, as well as net reductions or eliminations of deductions and credits without a matching reduced tax rate. Prior to the November 2012 election, the pledge was signed by 95% of all Republican members of Congress and all but one of the candidates running for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. Monk-like. Conservative. “Libertarian.” Free market. The man is obnoxiously “right wing” buzz word compliant.

Norquist has close professional and personal ties to Islamic political activism. He co-founded the Islamic Free Market Institute together with Khaled Saffuri and Abdul Rahman al-Amoudi. Norquist’s wife is a Muslim, born in Kuwait to Palestinian Arab parents. His sister Lorraine is married to Majed Tomeh, founder of the Islamic Institute. In 2010, Norquist emerged as an outspoken Republican foe of politicizing the mosque-in-Manhattan issue, calling it a “distraction.” He was a big supporter of the Ground Zero Mosque. Right-wing-buzz-word-compliant … with just a dash of Islam.

Although Norquist claims to be Tea Party, saying it should serve as the exoskeleton for the GOP, he is for massive illegal immigration. He is definitely not Tea Party regardless of his claims. “Immigration” — illegally — has another descriptor: hostile colonization. Increasingly, our right-wing-buzz-word-compliant hero is shaping up to be arsenic labeled as sugar.

In October 2012, for example, he said:

“It’s the most important thing to focus on if you’re concerned about the future of the country both as an economic power and as a serious leader of the world, or simply as a successful society. It’s not only good policy to have more immigrants in the United States — dramatically more immigrants than we do today, to having a path forward for those people who are here. It’s not only a good idea, but it’s good politics.”

He is intimately aligned with the national Chamber of Commerce which should tell you all you need to know. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. This is a politician who says one thing, espousing what conservatives want to hear on smaller government and lower taxation, while on the other hand, he does the opposite. He is for reduced defense spending, he minimizes fighting terrorism everywhere he goes… and he is aligned with and aiding those who are terrorists and support terrorism. Okay, so maybe more than a “dash” of Islam. The man is an unmitigated danger to this country.

Beck likens Norquist to the Right’s version of George Soros without all the money. I would agree with that. He has that kind of power, influence and sway over the GOP. Grover is listened to within the GOP and feared as much as he is respected. Norquist, along with Karl Rove, was the co-architect of the Bush wins and he was the leader in Muslim outreach after 9/11.

From Discover the Networks:

An early 2001 White House memo, intended to coordinate Muslim and Arab-American public liaison events, showed that Norquist’s Islamic Institute played a vital role in establishing Islamist connections with the Bush administration. A leading Arab-American pollster, John Zogby, said that “absolutely, [Norquist is] central to the White House outreach.” Among the key players involved in Norquist’s outreach efforts were:

After 9/11, Norquist supported the NCPPF’s efforts to weaken and/or repeal the PATRIOT Act. He was the featured speaker at a November 2003 NCPPF event where he joined actor Alec Baldwin and People For the American Way president Ralph Neas in condemning the Act.

Norquist founded the Islamic Institute which he claims promotes the free market within Islam. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg on his Islamic connections.

Abdul Rahman Al-Amoudi

One of Norquist’s connections is Abdul Rahman al-Amoudi. Al-Amoudi was held up as a moderate Muslim. He founded the Islamic Society of Boston Mosque in 1981. That is the mosque that the Tsarnaev brothers emerged from as radical Islamists and then went on to commit the Boston Marathon bombing.

After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, he campaigned on behalf of Mohammed Salameh, who was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. In 1994, al-Amoudi also denied that Hamas was a terrorist organization. He vocally declared support for Hamas leader, Marzouk, saying: “I have known Musa Abu Marzuk before, and I really consider him to be from among the best people in the Islamic movement.” Federal authorities caught him expressing frustration that no Americans died in 1998 in the US Embassy bombing in Kenya. He recommended more operations be conducted there. It doesn’t end there… in 2000, al-Moudi stood across from the White House and pronounced vehemently his support for the terrorist organizations Hamas and Hezbollah.

Norquist’s Islamic Free Market Institute accepted at least $20,000 from Abdurahman al-Amoudi, who allegedly raised money for al Qaeda and is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence on terrorism charges.

More on al-Amoudi from Discover the Networks via The Right Planet:

In September 2003, British customs officials arrested Alamoudi at Heathrow Airport as he was returning from Libya with $340,000 in cash given to him by President Muammar Qadhafi to finance a plot involving two U.K.-based al Qaeda operatives intending to assassinate Saudi Crown Prince (later King) Abdullah.

Alamoudi was subsequently extradited to the United States. In October 2003, he was arrested at Dulles Airport on charges of having illegally accepted $10,700 from the Libyan mission to the United Nations.

With Alamoudi in custody, federal authorities released a transcript of a telephone conversation in which he had: lamented that no Americans had died during al Qaeda’s 1998 bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Kenya; recommended that more operations be conducted like the 1994 Hezbollah bombing of a Jewish cultural center in Buenos Aires, in which 85 people died; and clearly articulated his objective of turning America into a Muslim nation.

Alamoudi was indicted not only for his illegal dealings with Libya, but also for tax evasion and immigration fraud. He ultimately plead guilty to, and was convicted of, being a senior al Qaeda financier who had funneled at least $1 million into the coffers of that terrorist organization. He also acknowledged that he had pocketed almost $1 million for himself in the process. In October 2004, Alamoudi was sentenced to 23 years in federal prison.

During the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) trial of 2007, which examined evidence of HLF’s fundraising on behalf of Hamas, the U.S. government released a list of approximately 300 of HLF’s “unindicted co-conspirators” and “joint venturers.” Alamoudi was named in that list. To view the names of additional noteworthy individuals and groups listed, click here.

Khaled Saffuri

Al-Amoudi’s right hand man was Khaled Saffuri. Saffuri was a deputy at the American Muslim Council, one of the Muslim Brotherhood’s front organizations. He was founder of the Islamic Institute. Saffuri was very influential in the Bush administration as well. He led talks with the administration in opposition of Operation Green Quest. Karl Rove tapped him for Muslim outreach. He voiced displeasure after the decision to shut down the Holy Land Foundation for funding Hamas and was distraught that they were deemed a terrorist front group. Norquist is also connected to Saffuri.

From Discover the Networks:

Alamoudi’s longtime deputy, Khaled Saffuri, became the founding director of Norquist’s new Islamic Institute, whose associates would periodically make presentations at the Wednesday Group Meetings on such topics as: the plight of Palestinians under Israeli occupation; the allegedly misunderstood Islamist government of Sudan; the innocent nature of the process whereby Muslim chaplains were being selected for the U.S. armed forces; and the honored status of women in the Muslim world.

In 2000, as a result of Norquist’s influence, Khaled Saffuri was named the National Advisor on Arab and Muslim Affairs for the Bush presidential campaign. Holding out the promise of votes and donations in key battleground states with significant Muslim populations (especially Michigan, Florida, and New Jersey), Norquist and Saffuri were able to persuade the Bush campaign’s chief strategist, Karl Rove, to entrust them with the task of identifying the groups and individuals upon whom Bush should rely to elicit such support. In the summer of 2000, moreover, Norquist persuaded Bush to sit down with leaders of the Muslim American Political Coordinating Committee, a confederation of community groups that included, among others, Alamoudi’s American Muslim Council, and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).

Sami Al-Arian

Sami al-Arian is a former member of the Muslim Brotherhood and was a professor at USF. He was caught soliciting donations for a Palestinian terrorist to kill an Israeli Jew. He also paid homage to ‘the march of the martyrs and to the river of blood that gushes forth and does not extinguish.’ Al-Arian also said, ‘Let us damn America to death.’ He is another nefarious connection to Norquist. Al-Arian plead guilty to supporting a terrorist organization and was recently deported by the Obama administration. Sami al-Arian was sentenced to 57 months in prison on one count of conspiracy to “make or receive funds … for the benefit of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.”

From Human Events:

Norquist, reported Wolf, “also associated with terror financier Sami Al-Arian, according to Mary Jacoby’s reporting in March 2003, in the St. Petersburg Times. Al-Arian pled guilty in 2006 ‘to a charge of conspiring to provide services to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), a specially designated terrorist organization, in violation of U.S. law,’ and is under house arrest, according to a Department of Justice press release. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s ‘paramilitary wing—the al-Quds Brigades—has conducted numerous attacks, including large-scale suicide bombings,’ according to the National Counterterrorism Center.”

Suhail Khan

Another connection to Norquist is through Suhail Khan. He is the whitewashed Islamic version of Van Jones when it comes to nefarious characters and the Muslim Brotherhood. He looks good and sounds good. Along with the others, he campaigned against the DOJ’s secret evidence agenda. But his parents tell a different story altogether. They were prominent leaders in Muslim Brotherhood front groups. The annual ISNA award is given each year in his father’s name. The mosque funded by Khan’s father, hosted the Blind Sheikh shortly before he bombed the World Trade Center. He has a network of terror friendly organizations and he made it possible for Osama bin Laden’s number two, Al-Zawahiri, to actually covertly visit the United States undetected in 1995. He played a key role in founding CAIR. He was also praised by al-Amoudi at an award ceremony.

Jamal al-Barzinji

Norquist is also aligned with Jamal al-Barzinji who is the founding father of the Muslim Brotherhood in America. He played a crucial role in creating and organizing the web of Brotherhood front groups that followed: ISNA, the Muslim American Society and IIIT. Al-Barzinji founded a radical mosque in Virginia. He’s known for his ties to Islamic terrorists from Hamas to al Qaeda. He’s also an officer of the SAAR Foundation, which is suspected of funding terrorist groups.

So … way more than a “dash” of Islam. Ever had one of those awful moments when you go to season a soup or stew with your favorite seasoned salt … and the cap comes off, dumping the whole container into the pot? That’s the kind of “dash” of Islam we’re talking about here. It gets worse: as you contemplate how much you will have to dilute the soup, you happen to check the ingredients of your “seasoned salt” and discover it’s rat poison. And you have considerably more than a “dash” in your dish.

All of this, in my view, points to Grover Norquist having a strong connection to the Muslim Brotherhood and an affinity for radical Islamists and terrorists. Norquist claims that Frank Gaffney has been spreading conspiracy theories about him for 15 years. Well, maybe it’s time America listened to those theories – carefully. If the GOP is controlled by the likes of Karl Rove and Grover Norquist, the party needs an enema and in fact, may be beyond saving. The Muslim Brotherhood has long sought and stated that it wanted to infiltrate our government. They infiltrated the Democrats easily. Now it looks like they infiltrated the Republicans almost as easily and no one dares say a thing. The GOP has to clean house and Grover Norquist – an infiltrator and an enemy from within on the Right – is an excellent place to start.

10 Troubling Aspects of President Obama’s ‘Countering Violent Extremism’ Summit

By: Benjamin Weingarten
TheBlaze

The White House’s “Countering Violent Extremism” summit is barely underway, yet the message is already clear: the conference is politically correct — and far worse — a charade.

And that is a charitable interpretation.

Its sponsors are engaging in intentional obfuscation (e.g., saying “violent extremism” is the enemy), as well as peddling ineffective and ill-considered policy proposals (more community “empowerment”). The conference will effectively aid and abet America’s increasingly ascendant jihadist foes.

Violent extremism is not an enemy, it’s a euphemism. Terrorism is not an enemy, it’s a tactic.

Reviewing the Obama administration’s summit preview, here are its 10 most disturbing aspects:

1. Contrary to its big government ethos, the Obama administration asserts that national security should be driven by the people, not the state.

According to the White House preview [emphasis mine]:

Really at the core of our approach is that the government does not have all the answers in combatting violent extremism. It is, at its core, a bottom-up approach. It puts communities with civic leaders, with religious authorities, with community power brokers, teachers, health providers, et cetera, in the driver’s seat. They know their citizens best. They are the first line of defense to prevent or counter radicalizing forces that can ultimately lead to violence. And so our approach is to really embrace and empower what local communities can do. So we’ve been working with our federal partners and our local partners to put in place this approach over the past couple of years.

Further:

Again, this is not about government, especially the federal government. The federal government doesn’t have all the answers. This is about building a comprehensive network to fight back against violent extremism. And we are explicitly recognizing the role that civil society plays, the private sector plays, and that families, et cetera, can play in countering violent extremism.

Who knew the Obama administration had so much respect for and faith in civil society?

Yet of course, this faith turns out to be dangerously misplaced as…

2. The groups the president wants to empower are those who may pose the biggest threat.

As Patrick Poole noted in an extensive report for TheBlaze:

In December 2011, the White House issued the “Strategic Implementation Plan for Empowering Local Partners to Prevent Violent Extremism in the United States” – the local partners, of course, being Islamic organizations, including those cited by the Justice Department as working to aid foreign terrorist organizations. All national security and law enforcement agencies on the federal, state and local level would now have to consult these groups and rely on “local partners” as a matter of policy. And as made clear in Salam al-Marayati’s Los Angeles Times op-ed, Islamic groups complaining about counter-terrorism policies or training would disrupt government efforts to “counter violent extremism” gave them an implicit veto over counter-terrorism policies. [Los Angels Times link added for context]

Why should we care about this 2011 report?

A senior Obama administration official noted in previewing the summit that the report details the very efforts the administration will be hawking during the three-day event.

Local partners such as the Council on American-Islam Relations — an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest Hamas funding trial in history — has advised members of the Muslim community not to work with the FBI, and religious leaders to lawyer up as opposed to working together with law enforcement when it comes to potential jihadists. On the eve of the summit, CAIR is reportedly calling for the Department of Justice to “protect those who act in good faith to prevent violent extremism by engaging with [Muslims] considering it in order to dissuade them.”

A partner of perhaps higher standing is the Islamic Society of Boston (ISB), a group linked to numerous jihadis and jihadi-sympathizers, that is reportedly the primary liaison between the Muslim community and law enforcement in countering violent extremism. The Boston  program will be one of the three held up as a success story during the summit, despite the ISB’s Islamic supremacist efforts.

Looking to the heart of Muslim communities, according to the Mapping Sharia project, imams in over 80 percent of 100 randomly surveyed representative mosques in America recommended the study of violence-positive texts. The correlations with these texts are disturbing, as illustrated below:

Sharia Adherence Mosque Survey: Correlations between Sharia Adherence and Violent Dogma in U.S. Mosques (Image Source: http://www.terrorismanalysts.com/pt/index.php/pot/article/view/sharia-adherence-mosque-survey/html)

(Image Source: Sharia Adherence Mosque Survey: Correlations between Sharia Adherence and Violent Dogma in U.S. Mosques)

In Pew’s extensive 2011 report on Muslims in America, 21 percent of those polled indicated there was a great deal or fair amount of “support for extremism among Muslim American;” 19 percent did not indicate that “suicide bombing/other violence against civilians is justified to defend Islam from its enemies;” only 70 percent indicated that they viewed Al Qaeda “very unfavorably.”

As leaked Department of Homeland Security documents reveal, the second highest concentration of people designated as “known or suspected terrorists” by our government reside in Dearborn, Michigan. Dearborn’s population is 96,000, and it has the highest percentage of Arab-Americans of any city in the country.

In light of these figures, and the fact that jihadist groups worldwide claim they are at war with America, having committed over 25,000 attacks in the name of Allah since Sept. 11, 2011, one must ask, what exactly is the rationale behind leaving self-policing to Muslim communities when these are the very places from whence jihadists spring?

Such a policy of course is only baffling if you are of the belief that jihad is an Islamic tenet, and that Islamic supremacist ideology is what animates the vast majority of the world’s “violent extremists.”

But of course…

3. According to the administration there is no profile of a “violent extremist.”

Returning to the transcript:

[I]n the United States there has been violent extremists that come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and so the agenda for all three days is going to show a wide array of speakers and participants from all backgrounds who combat radicalization, violent extremism and terrorism in its many forms.

…In terms of the phrase “vulnerable community,” I think one is that we want to be clear that the evidence doesn’t show that there’s any particular community, there’s no profile that we can point to say this person is from this community, is going to be radicalized to violence.

4. The administration thinks a key focus should be on non-Muslim terrorist groups — like those in Colombia.

Per the preview:

Q:  I’m just wondering, in light of the current events that Andrea Mitchell and others mentioned during this call, almost all of those involves Muslim extremism. And I get that the phrase for this three-day event is “violent extremism.” Might some critics think that you’re avoiding the world “Muslim” as though extremists in the Islamic communities are the focus — or are they not the focus? That’s my question.

SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICIAL:  …I think obviously we want to be taking into account the current concerns that different countries are facing. But as I think will be clear from the variety of presentations and case studies that are mentioned — to include some of the media that we have organized to help catalyze the discussion that features some of the longer-running terrorist threats that people sometimes forget about in the current context, such as the FARC in Colombia, which is now in negotiations, but has been a designated terrorist organization for some time, responsible for countless acts of violence.

I think we will see through the complexity of the discussion that violent extremism is a broader trend…I think we’ll see in the context of the meeting itself the diversity that reflects the reality of recent history.

5. The administration disavows a link between jihadism — a word it won’t use — and religion.
This image made from a video released Sunday Feb. 15, 2015 by militants in Libya claiming loyalty to the Islamic State group purportedly shows Egyptian Coptic Christians in orange jumpsuits being led along a beach, each accompanied by a masked militant. Later in the video, the men are made to kneel and one militant addresses the camera in English before the men are simultaneously beheaded. The Associated Press could not immediately independently verify the video. (Image source: AP)

Per the administration preview:

SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICIAL:  Let’s be clear. We recognize that violent extremism spans many decades and has taken many forms. But we all agree that the individuals who perpetuated — who perpetrated the terrorist attacks in Paris and elsewhere are calling themselves Muslims and their warped interpretation of Islam is what motivated them to commit these acts. They’re not making any secret of that, and neither are we.

But we are very, very clear that we do not believe that they are representing Islam. There is absolutely no justification for these attacks in any religion, and that’s the view of the vast majority of Muslims who have suffered huge casualties from the likes of folks like ISIL or al Qaeda. So you can call them what you want. We’re calling them terrorists.

6. The administration continues its “mea culpa” campaign, attributing radicalism to economic, social and political disparities — but not religion.

Per the White House preview [emphasis mine]:

The final panel will focus on secure and resilient communities, and it will, in particular, begin by looking at the role of civil society, particularly youth and women preventing violent extremism. It will look at community-police relations and community-security force relations as a critical element of prevention. And it will finally broaden that conversation to address social, economic and political marginalization, including the effects of integration of minority communities.

Based on all we have observed from this White House, do you think that the onus will fall on law enforcement to work on “improving relations” with “violent extremist” communities, or vice-versa? Reports on the Minneapolis countering violent extremism pilot program, one of the three that will be presenting at the summit, indicate that its Somali Muslim community mistrusts law enforcement because it fears being spied upon. Does this give you confidence in cooperation from a neighborhood that has produced over a dozen known jihadists in recent years?

The notion that “marginalization” and poor integration in minority communities is the root cause of jihadism, as echoed by State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf is a canard. Not only are there very wealthy families from the bin Ladens to the Saudi royals who drive jihadism worldwide, but conversely practically every group that has ever succeeded in America came to this country poor and marginalized, yet did not resort to strapping bombs to themselves or chopping off heads.

None of this is even to mention the fact that Muslims, other ethnic and religious minorities and the most important minority, the individual, has at least historically had more freedom and opportunity in America than in any other country in the world. Perhaps the White House wishes this forum to be a vehicle for revisiting Ferguson.

7. The administration wants to rehabilitate and reintegrate violent extremists.

Clearly the recidivism rate for Guantanamo Bay detainees has not sunk in to the collective mind of the public, as the White House continues:

The third session focuses on weakening the legitimacy and the resonance of the brand of violent extremism. So that will include a panel on strategic communications, social media. It will include a discussion of how non-violent religious issues and education can be elevated as a matter of international and local-level concern. And it will look at best practices with regard to rehabilitating and reintegrating violent extremists.

Note that this is also in keeping with the Obama administration’s efforts through Eric Holder’s Justice Department to treat terrorism as a criminal matter.

8. The Obama White House has regularly partnered with and enabled ”violent extremists,” without whom a countering violent extremism summit would not be necessary in the first place.

One of the more unbelievable indications of the Obama administration’s willful lack of self-awareness is that it has regularly partnered with the “violent extremists,” aiders, abetters and sympathizers with whom theoretically this summit is about countering.

The administration is currently negotiating with Iran on its nuclear program — the largest state sponsor of terror in the world.

Several weeks ago the White House met with the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization whose 1991 strategic memorandum on North America called for a “grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”

In Libya and Syria we have armed jihadists to our own great detriment.

How can a president who so frequently makes common cause with, and whose interventions overseas have so consistently aided jihadists, have any credibility in countering violent extremism?

9. The summit’s very name tells us how fatally flawed the exercise is.

Little exemplifies better how ill-equipped America is to deal with the threats facing her than the fact that the Obama administration wants us to believe that we are fighting “violent extremism.”

Violent extremism is not an enemy, it’s a euphemism. Terrorism is not an enemy, it’s a tactic.

As many have said in recent weeks, if you cannot identify your enemy, you cannot defeat it. By not having the moral clarity, or even worse by exhibiting such cowardice in creating a mushy phrase like “violent extremism,” which not only obscures the enemy from the American people, but allows the Obama administration to associate all sorts of other peoples with jihadists is shameful.

Islamic supremacists are at war with us. It is quite evident we are not at war with them.

10. Finally, the key issues crucial to understanding the nature of, and means of best countering Islamic supremacism are not going to be addressed.

Were the summit actually to identify Islamic supremacism as the enemy, as the Center for Security Policy’s recent Defeat Jihad Summit illustrated, we might examine issues among many others including:

  • The Islamic doctrine that animates jihadists both Shitte and Sunni, and the goals, tactics and strategies set forth therein
  • The global funding of the jihadist support architecture
    • Activist groups
    • Educational institutions including America’s Middle East studies departments
    • Media organizations
    • Mosques
    • Other agents of influence
  • Jihadist infiltration of American political institutions
  • The undefended borders through which jihadists are surely entering
  • Legal immigration policies including visas for religious leaders, student visas and immigration from jihadist areas worldwide
  • Iran’s efforts to infiltrate South America
  • Radicalization in prisons

We should seriously consider the aforementioned 1991 Muslim Brotherhood memorandum on its mission in North America:

The process of settlement is a “Civilization-Jihadist Process” with all the word means. The Ikhwan [Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions. Without this level of understanding, we are not up to this challenge and have not prepared ourselves for Jihad yet. It is a Muslim’s destiny to perform Jihad and work wherever he is and wherever he lands until the final hour comes, and there is no escape from that destiny except for those who chose to slack. But, would the slackers and the Mujahedeen be equal.

…A mission as significant and as huge as the settlement mission needs magnificent and exhausting efforts. With their capabilities, human, financial and scientific resources, the Ikhwan will not be able to carry out this mission alone or away from people and he who believes that is wrong, and God knows best. As for the role of the Ikhwan, it is the initiative, pioneering, leadership, raising the banner and pushing people in that direction. They are then to work to employ, direct and unify Muslims’ efforts and powers for this process. In order to do that, we must possess a mastery of the art of “coalitions”, the art of “absorption” and the principles of “cooperation.”

Muslim Brotherhood-Aligned Leaders Hosted at State Department

The State Department hosted a delegation of Muslim Brotherhood-aligned leaders.last week. The delegation included Sarwat Nafei, a self-described liberal elected as speaker of the Egyptian parliament in exile; Waleed Sharaby, secretary general of the Egyptian Revolutionary Council and a spokesman for Judges for Egypt, a group reported to have close ties to the Brotherhood; Maha Azzam, head of the Egyptian Revolutionary Council; Abdul Mawgoud Dardery, an exiled Muslim Brotherhood member and Egyptian parliamentarian; and Mohammed Gamal Heshmet, an exiled member of the Muslim Brotherhood shura council and Egyptian parliamentarian.

The delegation sought help in restoring former President Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood to power in Egypt. On June 30, 2013 the largest protests in recorded human history in Egypt led to the ouster of then President Mohamed Morsi. Bringing into power anti- Muslim Brotherhood President Abdel Fatah el-Sisi. el-Sisi has called for a “religious revolution” asking Muslim leaders to help in the fight against extremism. If this is so then why would the Obama administration want to host a terrorist group hellbent to unseat, assassinate or otherwise destroy the elected President of Egypt? President Obama should be working hand in hand with this reformer and US ally. Patriot or Traitor?

A few days after the delegation visited the State Department, a Brotherhood affiliated television warned foreign tourists and business interests to leave Egypt, or risk becoming a “target for the revolutionary punishment movements.” The Muslim Brotherhood also called for “a long, uncompromising jihad” in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood has been designated as a terrorist group by Russia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, and Egypt. President Obama does not consider the MB a terrorist organization. Patriot or Traitor?

What they are saying.

  • Pamela Geller. “Obama is neither clueless, naive, or stupid. He knows just what he is doing, and it’s treason.”
  • Linda S. Heard, Middle East expert. “If the White House is out to offend some of its closet Arab allies and is intent on heightening their suspicions, it’s succeeded.”
  • Said Lindawi, Egyptian international affairs expert. “The meeting of the MB leaders with State Department officials means that the Obama Administration has given the organization a green light to carry out terrorist attacks against Egypt.”
  • Patrick Poole, terrorism expert and national security reporter. “The MB and State Department meeting is a direct insult to our Egyptian allies, who are in an existential struggle against the Muslim Brotherhood.”
  • Terresa Monroe Hamilton, NoisyRoom.net. “In a world filled with intentionally increasing danger, it is more important than ever to speak the truth clearly and boldly. We are in a dangerous position with President Obama who supports the Muslim Brotherhood and yet has 2 more years in office. In essence…. Pray with your eyes wide open!”

When will ALL of us wake up. You decide.
Patriot or Traitor?

Waleed Sharaby, a Brotherhood-aligned judge in Egypt, posed for a picture at the State Department in which he held up the Islamic group’s notorious four-finger Rabia symbol. The enemy within, dealing with the Obama Administration. Patriot or Traitor?

The President gives excuses for what ISIS is doing, and compares them to the Crusades, and slavery in our own country. The President just gave ISIS the best recruiting commercial they could hope for. Patriot or Traitor? Ask your church this weekend. Is it right for the President to compare ISIS with Christians?

“Patriotism is easy to understand in America; it means looking out for yourself by looking out for your country.”

The Muslim Brotherhood Calls For “A Long, Uncompromising Jihad” In Egypt After Meeting With US State Department

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

It couldn’t be more obvious to me that Obama and his Administration are in bed with the Muslim Brotherhood. This past week, they held a confab at the State Department concerning their ongoing efforts to oppose the current government of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi of Egypt, who rose to power following the overthrow of Mohamed Morsi, an ally of the Brotherhood, in 2013. And that just pissed Obama off to no end. Not hard to tell where his allegiances lie and they certainly aren’t with Israel.

Waleed Sharaby, who is a secretary-general of the Egyptian Revolutionary Council and a spokesman for Judges for Egypt, a group reported to have close ties to the Brotherhood, posed for a selfie in front of the State Department emblem while showcasing the Muslim Brotherhood Rabia four-finger sign. The caption under the pic says, “Now in the U.S. State Department. Your steadfastness impresses everyone.” The sign is named after Rabia Square in Cairo, where a large anti-coup sit-in was held for about forty days before it was dispersed. The sign is meant to express solidarity with the thousands wounded, killed and burnt by the Egyptian army during the dispersal and persistence of the anti-coup movement, whereas pro-coup activists, figures and media consider the sign to be a terrorist sign. Or should that be called an ‘armed insurgent’ sign since we are not allowed to call the Muslim Brotherhood, the Taliban or CAIR the scum bag terrorists they are? Confusing, huh? Only certain terrorists are actually terrorists according to Obama. Only the ones he doesn’t snuggle with. Actually, doing away with the word ‘terrorist’ altogether is straight out of CAIR’s playbook. Radical Islamists of a feather and all that.

The delegation not only included Sharaby, it also had on board Gamal Heshmat, a leading member of the Brotherhood and Abdel Mawgoud al-Dardery, a Brotherhood member who served as a parliamentarian from Luxor as part of its makeup. Maha Azzam, who was also part of the delegation, proclaimed that the talks were ‘fruitful.’ Yeah, I bet they were. Azzam was speaking at the Center for the Study of Islam and Democracy (CSID). This is yet another group accused of having close ties to the Brotherhood. Azzam also declared that the State Department expressed openness to engagement. Quoi? Engage in what precisely? So, does this mean that the Brotherhood is now just another arm of our State Department? It’s sure beginning to look that way.

Any fool can see that Obama is still supporting putting the Muslim Brotherhood in power in Egypt and wants al-Sisi dealt with and gone. State Department officials would not comment on the content of the talks, several of which consisted of public get-togethers (by invitation) in Maryland and Virginia last week. I’m sure they had cocktails, while discussing the ouster of al-Sisi and the destruction of Israel.

From Patrick Poole:

Patrick Poole, a terrorism expert and national security reporter, said the powwow at the State Department could be a sign that the Obama administration still considers the Brotherhood politically viable, despite its ouster from power and a subsequent crackdown on its members by Egyptian authorities.

“What this shows is that the widespread rejection of the Muslim Brotherhood across the Middle East, particularly the largest protests in recorded human history in Egypt on June 30, 2013, that led to Morsi’s ouster, is not recognized by the State Department and the Obama administration,” Poole said.

“This is a direct insult to our Egyptian allies, who are in an existential struggle against the Muslim Brotherhood, all in the pursuit of the mythical ‘moderate Islamists’ who the D.C. foreign policy elite still believe will bring democracy to the Middle East,” Poole said.

Two days after the delegation meeting, the Muslim Brotherhood called for “a long, uncompromising Jihad” in Egypt. They released an official statement calling on their supporters to “prepare” for Jihad, according to an independent translation of the statement first posted on Tuesday.

In typical Muslim Brotherhood fashion, the releases in Arabic and English contradicted each other. Look to the Arabic translation for their true intentions. The English release is propagandic taqiyya for the infidels and nothing but lies:

A call for “a long, unrelenting Jihad” appeared on the Brotherhood’s Arabic language website Tuesday. The statement, first reported Friday by the Washington Free Beacon’s Adam Kredo, starts by invoking a passage from the Quran: “And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of God and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know but whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of God will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.”

On its English language website Friday, the Brotherhood struck a dramatically different tone in an article in which it “Reiterates Commitment to Non-Violence.”

[…]

The English posting says Brothers who stray from non-violence “no longer belong in the Brotherhood, and the group no longer accepts them, no matter what they do or say.”

As the IPT has shown, offering mixed messages in Arabic and English is routine for the Brotherhood.

The statement was also released just two days before a major terror attack Thursday in Egypt’s lawless Sinai region, that killed at least 25. On Thursday, a speaker on a Brotherhood-affiliated television station warned foreign tourists and business interests to leave Egypt next month, or risk becoming a “target for the revolutionary punishment movements.” Something very similar was posted on Facebook.

The Brotherhood’s call for Jihad was published to invoke founding ideologue Hasan al-Banna, who “prepared the Jihad brigades that he sent to Palestine to kill the Zionist usurpers…”

“For everyone must be aware that we are in the process of a new phase,” the statement concludes, “in which we summon what of our power is latent within us, and we call to mind the meaning of Jihad, and prepare ourselves and our children, wives and daughters, and whoever marches on our path for a long, unrelenting Jihad. We ask in it the abodes of the martyrs.”

The Muslim Brotherhood is gearing up for bloody terrorist activities, chief among which will be the attempted assassination of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in all likelihood.

The statement shows an image of two crossing swords and the word “prepare!” between them. Below the swords it reads, “The voice of truth, strength, and freedom.” According to the statement, “that is the motto of the Dawa of the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Al-Sisi is the one who once he became President of Egypt, outlawed the Muslim Brotherhood once more for being terrorists. He’s thrown many of them and their supporters in prison and executed a number of them, I believe. He’s also the one who just recently called for the reformation of the Islamic religion.

The Brotherhood considers this unforgivable and now are out to kill al-Sisi even more. While experts claim that the delegation and then the declaration of Jihad are an embarrassment to the State Department, I highly doubt that. They are part and parcel of the declaration of Jihad and they want the removal of al-Sisi as well. Timing is everything.

Once again, I will refer you to the wisdom of terrorism expert Patrick Poole:

“It invokes the Muslim Brotherhood’s terrorist past, specifically mentioning the ‘special apparatus’ that waged terror in the 1940s and 1950s until the Nasser government cracked down on the group, as well as the troops sent by founder Hassan al-Banna to fight against Israel in 1948,” he said.

“It concludes saying that the Brotherhood has entered a new stage, warns of a long Jihad ahead, and to prepare for martyrdom,” Poole said. “Not sure how much more clear they could be.”

Poole wondered if the call for Jihad would convince Brotherhood apologists that the group still backs violence.

“What remains to be seen is how this announcement will be received inside the Beltway, where the vast majority of the ‘experts’ have repeatedly said that the Brotherhood had abandoned its terrorist past, which it is now clearly reviving, and had renounced violence,” Poole said. “Will this development be met with contrition, or silence? And what says the State Department who met with these guys this week?”

Crickets ensued from the State Department and the Obama Administration. Gee, I’m soooo surprised. Not. The Brotherhood is within our ranks, roaming freely and with great power now. America is now standing against our ally al-Sisi and we want him destroyed. We now are standing against Israel, trying to manipulate her elections and treating Netanyahu abysmally. We actively train and arm the Palestinians to kill Jews. We are aiding Iran in nuking up. We won’t call Islamic terrorists, terrorists. Depending on the day of the week, the mood of the moment and who is watching, we are either conducting faux attacks on radical Islamists or helping them. Watch what your leaders are actively doing – don’t just listen to their spewed lies.

By welcoming the delegation of the Muslim Brotherhood, Obama tacitly gave his approval for terrorism. If al-Sisi is killed, his blood will be on Obama’s already dripping hands.

Here are some clips from Muslim Brotherhood TV channels. Several death threats were made against the Egyptian president and the journalists who support him on these videos.

Cleric Salama Abd Al-Qawi said on Rabea TV that anyone who killed al-Sisi would be doing a good deed. Cleric Wagdi Ghoneim told Misr Alan TV that “whomever can bring us the head of one of these dogs and Hell-dwellers” would be rewarded by Allah and commentator Muhammad Awadh said on Misr Alan TV, that the punishment for the “inciting coup journalists” was death. I wonder what Obama’s reward will be as he bows to Allah and supports global Jihad?

As the Muslim Brotherhood takes pics in front of the US seal at the State Department, one wonders if prayer rugs are now littering those halls and our officials can be found bowing before a different kind of god than was imagined at our Founding. The Muslim Brotherhood calls for “a long, uncompromising Jihad” in Egypt after meeting with the US State Department – Obama and the Muslim Brotherhood together once again, working for the Ummah, not the US.
