Reasonable people are not opposed to inclusivity, but the test of inclusiveness isn’t so much who’s included. The real test is who is not included in the dichotomous “big tent” of woke inclusion. The list of DEI infidels is long. If your loyalties are to a spiritual Higher Authority, or you’re a Trumper, or an adherent to the First and Second Amendments, or you carry concealed, or you back the Blue, or you cotton to the idea that nascent human life has value; you are disqualified from woke inclusion. Poof, you’re excluded, quite unceremoniously. And on your way out, don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

If you prefer secure borders, or reckon that the federal government has gotten a little too big for its britches, or you’re of a mind that petroleum and natural gas are our best bets until some renewable alternative that’s plentiful, reliable and affordable comes online, Greta says, “Keep on walking.” You and others of your ilk are hereby excluded from woke inclusion. The self-appointed functionaries of DEI inclusion summarily and unilaterally excommunicate every heretic of dogmatic woke theology. Inclusion implies all-inclusiveness. Inclusion that excludes by design is actually the opposite of inclusivity. No surprise there.

Oh, bother. Half of my countrymen and I are not included in woke inclusion. I’m beginning to think the woke standard-bearers don’t like us very much. Hillary said it quite candidly if you recall. As campaign strategies go, declaring that constituents (and likely voters) are “deplorable” virtually guarantees all their votes will be cast enthusiastically against you. Even so, Democrat spokespeople keep doubling down on their insults directed at decent Americans they churlishly smear as “MAGA Republican extremists.” A simple disagreement is reason enough for those who profess woke inclusion to exclude you. Let’s get real, the purpose of woke “Inclusion” is to include Kool-Aid drinkers, and exclude those who have yet to acquire a taste for that brand.

The myth of woke inclusion is that it unifies. Nothing could be further from the truth. Woke inclusion picks teams for an “Us vs. Them” tug-o’-war. Woke inclusion cultivates a two-tribe binary and instigates disharmony betwixt. The pretend journalist, George Stephanopoulos declares that there’s only one side to the story, which coincidentally just happens to be his and that
of his woke colleagues. Woke activists are required to surrender their objectivity, journalistic integrity, and common sense when they assume the role of a staunch woke ideologue. To the woke, their doctrines might as well be written in stone, not unlike the precepts inscribed centuries ago atop Mt. Sinai.

Feminists fought tooth and nail for Title IX reforms to college athletics. Good for them! And despite their mixed track record, they got Title IX right. Their righteous efforts opened up wide-ranging athletic opportunities for women. I applaud the feminist activists, their achievements, and the female athletes who’ve benefited from them! But, seemingly out of nowhere, a new challenge plaguing women’s athletics has man-ifested itself. Biological males now compete in “Women-Only” events. You can call a man a woman, but such dubious declarations don’t change the fact that males are typically bigger, stronger, faster, and tougher than females. Can I even say that anymore? It’s funny how an indisputable statement of fact spoken sincerely and without prejudice now merits an indignant woke condemnation denouncing it as an uncouth and hateful blasphemy. I guess I’d better keep my head down.

Assuming feminists are advocates for women, how do you explain their silence in regard to men intruding into the field of women’s sports? Egalitarian women fought so hard for fairness in women’s athletics. Then, when a trans-man-to-woman (that’s impossible) participant creates an obviously unfair situation that leaves female athletes heartbroken and deprived of records, medals, recognition, and advancement, the feminists remain totally silent. Why don’t they object? I strenuously object in the name of my American sisters, daughters, and granddaughters, and I’m not even a feminist. Notwithstanding, I recognize gross unfairness. But when you sign up for the woke plan, you make a deal with those quixotic zealots, to think and speak exclusively from the woke playbook. The woke boat will not be rocked by independently-minded passengers or stowaways. Categorical acceptance of woke ideology and total conformity of thought and speech are the requirements for membership. That’s the deal, there is no middle ground. Anything less will result in your immediate and permanent exclusion.

Woke inclusion forbids intellectual diversity and obligates its adherents to go along to get along. You may clearly see with your own two eyes that the emperor has no clothes, but if you consider yourself woke, you’d better not point it out. To remain a woke member in good standing, you’ll be required to believe total nonsense. Like, for starters, how a man can “become” a woman and vice versa. Really? Certain physical attributes are often associated with manhood, but a real man is actually made up of invisible qualities. A man is responsible, a man will sacrifice to take care of his own, a man keeps his word, a man does his duty, a man keeps the peace and will intervene to protect those who cannot protect themselves. The old Boy Scout oath sums things up pretty well: On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

If you want to know what a man really is, read the epic poem “IF” by Rudyard Kipling. In case you didn’t know, a penis doesn’t make a man a man, and more importantly, a grotesque, simulated one does not make a woman a man. The beauty of this country is that we’re all free to live as we choose. Americans live and let live, in other words, we’re tolerant. Notwithstanding, a woman equipped with an absurd fake dick is not a man (and sadly, something less of the woman she once was). If you find that fact offensive, I’m sorry to rain on your parade.

Nursing one’s newborn baby might be one of the most beautiful acts of love known to womankind. For the record, severing healthy female breasts from children is not a means to achieve manhood. I pity (and pray for) all the confused girls who fancy that such butchery will result in their happiness, and I rebuke in the strongest terms the Joseph Mengeles who perform such fiendish procedures. Those doctors swear a solemn oath to do no harm. The removal or disfigurement of healthy tissue, especially the breasts and genitalia of children isn’t healthcare, it’s tantamount to criminally depraved malpractice. Those quacks won’t pay for their crimes, but their patients will. Mental illness is not treatable with a scalpel or cosmetic surgery.

Most children troubled with gender dysphoria outgrow it by the age of consent. But if you try speaking out in defense of impressionable children about to make the biggest mistake of their lives, woke inclusion will exclude you. You had better dummy up, shrug your shoulders, and look the other way if you value your membership in the exclusive club of “Inclusion.”

“White guilt” is another preposterous woke doctrine. Assigning guilt where no wrongdoing exists is the antithesis of justice, and yet this warped travesty is codified in the manual of woke “social justice.” If you’re white and you hanker for association with the fashionable woke DEI fraternity, you must confess your supposed guilt. Then beseech your non-white colleagues for unmerited pardon and spend years earning forgiveness for nothing. This smacks of some sort of humiliating initiation ritual.

If I and my ancestors have harmed no one, then to whom is my apology owed, and to whom shall my penance be remitted?

Skin color is not evidence of guilt, neither is it verification of innocence. If that were so, then would Barack Obama be at once half guilty and half innocent? Is whiteness a privilege? Possibly. I guess that depends on who’s doing the hiring. Whiteness isn’t a privilege in the NBA or NFL. But if white privilege lingers elsewhere, it’s less now than it was, and it continues to wane as racial attitudes mature and mellow. But wait, whiteness isn’t the only privilege. What about beauty and handsomeness-privilege, or tall-privilege, or slim-privilege? If you’re physically fit, is that a privilege? What about smart-privilege or funny- privilege? Do the cool have an advantage over nerds? I reckon so. My advice: Determine which foot of yours is best, and whichever it is, put it forward confidently, regardless of any of your own perceived disqualifying features. Most decent folks are really looking for a good attitude, much more so than superficial physical features.

Classifying white and black people as “oppressors” and the “oppressed” respectively, further disjoins us and engenders racial animus and resentment. It’s another example of woke-inspired class divisiveness. My wife, my children, and I never oppressed anybody. I deeply resent such false assertions, and I decry the fact that such cynical Marxist notions have found their way into public school and college curricula. Critical Race Theory may point out historic injustices, but its foolish prescriptions are not remedies, they actually aggravate and prolong the disease. Something tells me that the supposedly “oppressed class” (black people) are embraced by woke inclusivity, and the supposed “oppressors” (white people) are not. How convenient.

Professional race-baiters like Al Sharpton find racism where it exists, and especially where it doesn’t. It’s his job, mainly because it pays very well. Race pushers like Al never stop picking at the racism scab in order to reopen an old wound that has largely healed. Then salt is callously applied, both liberally and strategically. Morgan Freeman takes a different approach that is somewhat more mature and actually constructive. He understands that we’ve come a long way from our unsophisticated days of slavery and Jim Crow. Morgan’s broad-based popularity and acceptance, and that of countless blacks, is clear evidence of significant progress. In Morgan’s wisdom, he recommends that we just stop talking about racism because it is going away.

We’re being played. Don’t believe for a minute the false claims that racism has gotten worse. It has not. But if it has spiked recently, it’s because of woke activists amplifying racial tensions as part of their disunifying strategy. Don’t fall for their lies.
