Apparently, congressman Moran does not want to try to defend the indefensible, even though the indefensible is part of his ideological framework. It shouldn’t matter whether an individual commits robbery by force or fear or if the individual hires a government goon to commit that robbery for him. Moran also is disingenuous when he tries to equate redistribution of wealth with building of infrastructure, providing education, and providing defense of the country to extorting money from people who work and/or take risks to earn money in order to support parasites who feel “entitled” to the earnings of those people. The first two are properly the function of the state/local governments, the second is properly the funtion of the national government. The forced redistribution of wealth is not a proper function of any level of government.
Sorry, the above should read, ” The first two are properly the function of the state/local governments, the third (or last) is properly the function of the national government.”
