‘Pure Racism’: Signs Depicting Obama as Crying Baby in Diaper, Puppet Draw Protest in New Orleans

New Orleans residents protested in front of a local man’s house Wednesday after he put up several signs in his yard depicting President Barack Obama as a puppet and a crying baby in a diaper, with one city council member even trying to determine whether the signs can forcibly removed.

In one sign, under the words “It’s Not My Fault,“ Obama wears a diaper and has speech bubbles coming from his mouth that read ”change me“ and ”I stink.” Another depicts him as billionaire George Soros’ puppet, standing behind a podium that reads “Seal of the Teleprompter of the United States.”

Doesn’t sound racist to me at all. And whatever happened to free speech?

The Government Bank That’s Financing More Solyndras

Fox Business:

(The following story has been corrected to reflect that the Federal Financing Bank is an on-balance sheet bank whose activities are reported in the Department of Treasury’s financial statements. The story also inaccurately stated that the FFB provides a “backdoor government bailout” of the U.S. Postal Service. In fact, Congress provides the USPS with statutory authority to borrow up to $15 billion to finance its business operations, and the FFB lends money to the USPS pursuant to this longstanding authority. The Treasury Department was unavailable for comment prior to publishing of the story, but its subsequent responses have been included below.)

Sitting at the center of the Solyndra scandal is a little-known bank at the Treasury Department that dates back to 1973.

This government bank, the Federal Financing Bank [FFB], had a zero balance in 2008 for green energy projects, but now, with little Congressional oversight — the FFB’s oversight committees are the Senate Banking Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee, and once a year the FFB submits its performance plan to both committees — it is giving out billions of dollars in loans to White House pet projects often at dirt-cheap interest rates below 1%. In July alone, the government bank, which had $61 billion in assets, lent nearly three quarters of a billion dollars in taxpayer funds.

Germany Exposes Obama – Well, up to the Ankles

Germany to Obama: Your Idea is Stupid – Would Threaten AAA Sovereign Debt Limits

Maggie’s Notebook

Wolfgang Schauble

This is exactly what Chris Christie was talking about in the foreign policy portion of his speech at the Reagan Library. The Obama administration can’t take care of the business of the United States, and isn’t respected for telling others how to handle theirs.

The Telegraph (read the entire story here):

German finance minister Wolfgang Schauble said it would be a folly to boost the EU’s bail-out machinery (EFSF) beyond its €440bn lending limit by deploying leverage to up to €2 trillion, perhaps by raising funds from the European Central Bank.“I don’t understand how anyone in the European Commission can have such a stupid idea. The result would be to endanger the AAA sovereign debt ratings of other member states. It makes no sense,” he said.

Mr Schauble told Washington to mind its own business after President Barack Obama rebuked EU leaders for failing to recapitalise banks and allowing the debt crisis to escalate to the point where it is “scaring the world”.

“It’s always much easier to give advice to others than to decide for yourself. I am well prepared to give advice to the US government,” he said.

Gulag Note from AW –
Of course a saboteur wants to sabotage, Wolfgang. Haven’t you been paying attention to George Soros pulling for the same EFSF destruction? Why do you suppose they are trying to build up the debt and insolvency bubble across Europe and into America? Let’s get real. Or, Wolfgang, are you also just another puppet in the show?

Gen Y TV Machining at Breitbart’s Rage

Andrew Breitbart Issues Wake Up Call To Gen Y

By Britt Hysen
Gen Y TV
In Big Journalism

In complicated times, when even the grown ups can’t get it right, Gen Y TV sat down with new media publisher andNew York Times Bestselling author, Andrew Breitbart (Righteous Indignation: Excuse me while I save the world!) to gain insight into the man behind BigGovernment.com, the Internet media outlet best known for breaking the ACORN and Anthony Weiner sexting scandals.  Addressing topics from new media opportunities to the current political landscape, Breitbart discussed each topic with a heavy dose of reality as it applies to Gen-Y, specifically young adults 18-35.

“Gen Y is very much SCREWED!” Breitbart said with conviction, “when it comes to the raw economics of what my generation and the baby boomers have handed to you.” Regarding the future of Generation Y in new media, he took a more positive, yet cautious position, “There are so many opportunities out there if media continues to be free, and if the government doesn’t try to impede and say we’re going to put limitations on you.” Breitbart stressed the innate compatibilities between young adults and new media, and encouraged anyone with a digital camera to report stories from their community that the mainstream media isn’t covering.

In addition to asking a spectrum of questions on key figures and issues relevant to Gen Y, a quick round of word associations focused on everything from Media Matters to legalizing marijuana, President Obama to Libertarian Congressman Ron Paul. One provocative statement after the next, Breitbart delivered decisive answers in rapid response.

Senate Hopeful Elizabeth Warren to Share AFL-CIO “Teach-In” With Socialist Frances Fox Piven

By: Trevor Loudon
New Zeal

Massachusetts Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren is scheduled to appear in an AFL-CIO sponsored “National Teach-In” with two leading members of Democratic Socialists of America.

The AFL-CIO wants activists to join “Elizabeth Warren, Frances Fox Piven, Barbara Ehrenreich (invited) and student activists for a national teach-in on the jobs crisis and student activists’ fight for workers’ rights, equal access to education, fair taxation and economic and social justice.”

Academic Frances Fox Piven is an honorary chair of the US’ largest Marxist organization Democratic Socialists of America. She was also the originator, with her late husband and DSA comrade, Richard Cloward, of the infamous Cloward-Piven Strategy – a plan  to advance socialism in the US by deliberately bankrupting state governments through a program of massively expanding welfare rolls.

Author/activist Barbara Ehrenreich is a former DSA co-chair and one of the original founders, in 2008, of Progressives for Obama. In 2007, Ehrenreich was also a leader of Movement for a Democratic Society where she worked with Barack Obama friends and former Weather Underground terrorist leaders Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

According to the AFL-CIO press release:

America wants to work, and a new movement of students and young people is growing to demand that our leaders get to work creating good jobs. As part of that movement, we are organizing a National Teach-In at the University of California Washington Center on Oct. 12 that will be webcast live across the country. Frances Fox Piven, other featured speakers and student activists will discuss the roots of the jobs crisis and how unions, students and community groups are fighting back to defend the core values of our country. You can join by organizing a teach-in on your campus that tunes into the live webcast and then continues to discuss local and state issues and campaigns. The National Teach-In is part of a nationwide campaign that week to impress upon our political leaders and corporate power-brokers: Now is the time for big, bold action to put America back to work, retain good jobs and rebuild the U.S. economy.

The teach-in will examine the disaster caused by corporate control of our economic and political system. Americans are working harder than ever today while earning less – as corporate profits soar. The big banks are stripping away the wealth of consumers, homeowners, students and young workers. Meanwhile, our infrastructure erodes and corporations offshore millions of jobs overseas – while hoarding more than $1.3 trillion in cash that could be used to create jobs. Schools, day care centers, senior citizen facilities, health clinics, parks and firehouses are starved for funds so corporations and the wealthy can get billions of dollars in tax break…

Unions, student organizations and community groups are fighting back against these abuses of corporate power and the efforts of the right wing to reduce wages, maintain tax breaks for the wealthy and eliminate social safety net programs. In Wisconsin, students and workers joined together to protect the rights of public-sector workers to bargain collectively. In August 2011, more than 700 corporate accountability events – rallies, town hall meetings and demonstrations at congressional offices – were held in 48 states to tell political leaders to stop protecting tax breaks for the wealthy and focus on putting America back to work….

We are on the cusp of a new social movement to resist and roll back the corporate domination of political and economic systems by the banks, big corporations and Wall Street profiteers. Please join the National Teach-In: Students Rising for Jobs and Economic Justice to be part of this movement.

That a Senate candidate and close ally of the President, should so openly work with professional revolutionaries like Frances Fox Piven and Barbara Ehrenreich, is an indication of how far to the left the Democratic Party has veered. There is no longer any shame in working openly with anti-American Marxists.

Does America really need another pro-socialist Senator from Massachusetts? Wasnt’t Ted Kennedy enough?
