An Appeal for Immediate Intervention from the International Community to Protect Egyptian Copts

By: Ashraf Ramelah
Voice of the Copts

In light of the current attack upon Copts protesting in Cairo where 36 Copts were murdered and many more injured by Egyptian military forces together with Muslim militants, Voice of the Copts is appealing to the international community for immediate help.

Beginning at 3:30 in the afternoon on Sunday, Oct 9, in Shubra district of Cairo, more than 100,000 Copts and some Muslims marched peacefully together for more than two miles toward Tahrir Square shouting slogans in protest of the Muslim burning of Marinab Coptic Church in Edfo in Upper Egypt a few days earlier.

During an orderly approach by Copts to the Maspiro area, Muslim groups began throwing stones and malotov cocktails at the crowd of protesters. The military began shooting live bullets into the protesters and then drove speeding armored cars and tanks directly into the crowd. Meanwhile, Copts were unable to get to safety because they were held back by Muslim militant criminals released from jails earlier this year by the former Mubarak regime at the beginning of the revolution.

The apparent cooperation between Egyptian military forces and Muslim groups who gathered to protect army personnel as requested by National Public TV prior to the start of the Copts’ protest, reveals the true nature of Egypt’s interim regime. Lingering attachments to the Mubarak regime combined with Islamic interests spells the beginning of the end for Copts and freedom and justice. Equality under the law is now impossible with what seems to be the real aim of those in power — to annihilate the Copts of Egypt.

Voice of the Copts would like to thank the Muslim citizens who stood in solidarity with the Copts demanding freedom of religion, justice and equality.

Furthermore, Coptic clergy, especially Father Filipert and Father Meytias, are now being intimidated by death threats which indicate that military rulers are plotting to silence them due to their activities among the Coptic population. As a consequence of this and from this point on, we, as Voice of the Copts, deem any murder or accidental death of any Coptic clergy to be nothing less than an assassination carried out by the state.

Voice of the Copts calls for immediate action to be taken by Western governments to protect Egyptian citizens from the violent acts of the Egyptian state military and police force who ignore the law and defy their given responsibility to protect all citizens equally. Military leaders, putting their own greed before the interests of the country and, by doing so, promote Islamic interests, damage any hope of democracy. Field Marshall Tantawi and his henchmen must immediately step down from governing Egypt’s post-revolutionary efforts.

Zubi Diamond, Trevor Loudon, Larry Grathwohl, Brandon Darby, & Tina Trent at Oct. 27th America’s Survival Conference

By: Cliff Kincaid
Gulag Bound

Dear Friend of America’s Survival:BIG NEWS: Financial expert Zubi Diamond, author of Wizards of Wall Street, is speaking at our upcoming October 27 conference. He will discuss the role of George Soros in the financial collapse.

Are you concerned about your financial future? Come to our conference. It is free and open to the public. That is NO CHARGE.

There are Marxist-oriented “Occupy Wall Street” protests underway. These demonstrations deliberately miss the point and constitute a re-elect Barack Obama movement. They are pawns of Obama and the progressive movement.

Zubi, a black critic of Obama, properly distinguishes between the good Wall Street and the bad Wall Street.

He writes that an example of the good Wall Street would be someone like Steve Jobs, the late founder of Apple: “These people create, run or finance money-making companies and serve the community with much-needed jobs and employment, products and services. The good Wall Street includes the general public mutual funds, retirement portfolios, common investors, banks and venture capital investors who finance and fund the loans for our homes and businesses. They fund and finance economic growth and expansion.”

By contrast, “An example of the bad Wall Street would be someone like George Soros. These people are the financial hedge fund short-selling operators who make money by betting on company collapse, economic calamities and catastrophes.”

Zubi says:

The only financial reform needed today is to regulate and monitor the hedge funds and the hedge fund short sellers, some of them which are registered off-shore to avoid scrutiny. These global operators, with investors who remain mostly anonymous, must be compelled to register with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), publicly disclose their positions in the markets, and maintain accounting and trading records for a period of 10 years so their activities can be monitored and scrutinized. Just like mutual funds, they must be prohibited from engaging in day trading activities.

Many people do not realize that the hedge funds are responsible for 75-90 percent of all trading activities on Wall Street. They are responsible for the extreme market volatility. They are responsible for everything that is bad on Wall Street.

But isn’t it interesting that Soros has expressed his sympathy for the “Occupy Wall Street” protests?

According to one report, “Soros, during a presentation at the United Nations in Monday, told reporters he sympathized with the protesters’ anger over such matters as the bailout of banks and the inequities between rich and poor.” Soros said, “Actually I can understand their sentiment, frankly.”

Soros says this because he knows that the protests represent no threat to the way he does business. He operates off-shore, outside the jurisdiction of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

“Occupy Wall Street” to Push for Global Tax

By: Cliff Kincaid
Accuracy in Media

Jumping on the anti-Wall Street media bandwagon, Josh Boak of Politico says Democratic Rep. Peter DeFazio’s measure to tax Wall Street has “newfound momentum.” The Soros-funded Think Progress blog quickly jumped on the report, saying the plan is being seriously considered on the Hill. There is only one problem: DeFazio hasn’t introduced any such bill in the current Congress.

Despite the hype from Politico, the issue is a real one. And the threat is not only a “Wall Street financial transactions tax” that could affect ordinary investors but a global tax to finance various international agencies and causes.

It’s just a “tiny tax,” say proponents, that has the support of billionaire Bill Gates and can generate $100 billion a year. A global tax on financial transactions could generate at least $700 billion a year from the U.S. and other “rich” countries.

One of the groups pushing the tax is National Nurses United, whose Massachusetts affiliate is already putting its political muscle behind radical Massachusetts Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren. Her speech to the Massachusetts Nurses Association convention was given in front of posters saying, “RNs say Heal America. Tax Wall Street.”

Warren just made big news by raising more money than some presidential candidates did in the last quarter.

Taking Obama’s class warfare rhetoric to a new level, Warren recently said, “There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody! You built a factory out there? Good for you! But I want to be clear: You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You, uh, were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory and hire someone to protect against this because of the work the rest of us did.”

At this point, the Capitol Hill “Tax Wall Street” measure has yet to be introduced. Backers are apparently waiting for the “Occupy Wall Street” protests to build, with further help from the media.

“The Oregon Democrat has teamed up with Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) to introduce the measure—a sequel to their 2009 bill—before the November G-20 meeting in Cannes, France,” says Boak.

Boak says the DeFazio-Harkin proposal “fizzled two years ago” in the last Congress. The term “fizzled” is an understatement. The House version, H.R. 4191, only had 25 co-sponsors. The DeFazio bill was referred to the Committee on Ways and Means, the Committees on Rules, and the Budget Committee. But no action was taken on it.

Harkin’s Senate version, S. 2927, fared even worse. He had only three co-sponsors: Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Bernard Sanders (I-VT), and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI). It was referred to the Committee on Finance, which took no action.

A photo caption for the Politico story refers to Harkin being a sponsor of the bill which “probably” will be offered before the G-20 meeting in November.

So a bill that already had “momentum” may or not be introduced soon. What is going on here?

The Boak story has all the earmarks of a plant by the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS), a Marxist group pushing the tax. IPS held a seminar on the topic at the recent Take Back the American Dream conference in Washington, D.C. It was announced there that a nurses union would be staging a “D.C. action” on November 3 during the G-20 summit being held in France.

Indeed, this is the next phase of “Occupy Wall Street”—a carefully orchestrated attempt to make it seem like people all around the world are clamoring for a tax on Wall Street. Here, National Nurses United (NNU) is leading the charge and will hold its “major action” in front of the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. on November 3.

The nurses will wear their nurses’ garb and hold signs proclaiming, “Heal America. Tax Wall Street.” NNU has created a “Protest in the USA” website to help organize the demonstrations.

The “momentum” for the not-yet-introduced proposal is the result of a far-left network that wants to use the current “Occupy Wall Street” protests to push and pass the tax, which could go global.

The effort cannot be dismissed. On the international level, a group called “Make Finance Work for the People and the Planet” boasts 1,000 signatures of economists on a petition for the “Robin Hood tax.”

The IPS released a report last year promoting the tax, noting how it could help pay for U.S. “global commitments around poverty, health and climate.” The report states, “If the U.S. is going to fulfill its commitments to the world’s poorest, it needs to contribute an additional $80 billion in revenues per year.”

Internationally, the campaign is being organized by Public Services International (PSI), with affiliates in Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa and Arab countries.

U.S. affiliates of PSI, in addition to National Nurses United, are the American Federation of Government Employees, American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), American Federation of Teachers, International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America (UE), and the Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA).

A “global day of action” for the tax was already held on June 22 but received little attention here. Sympathetic media coverage of the “Occupy Wall Street” protests is sure to generate significant press attention for the November 3 protests.

The media are determined to create a “progressive” version of the Tea Party, even if the bill to tax Wall Street hasn’t been introduced yet. The actual introduction of the measure will be big news on the evening news programs.

After this is accomplished, critics of the “Occupy Wall Street” movement will no longer be able to say that the protesters have no concrete demands. Obama, at the G-20 event, will undoubtedly then “consider” the proposal, even perhaps say some more kind words about the protesters.

We saw this before. In my December 14, 2009, column, “The Secret Plan to Pass a Global Tax,” I noted that there was a push for the DeFazio-Harkin plan at that time.

The difference now is that the “Occupy Wall Street” protesters, assisted by Van Jones, Soros-funded progressives and labor unions, are mounting a major effort to get the measure passed and they have the support of the major media.

Fraud Exposed: ‘Occupied Wall Street Journal’ (Full-Color, Free Newspaper) Written by an Anarchist, Anti-Capitalism Group Funded by George Soros, the Tides Foundation, Code Pink and Michael Moore, Protestors Being Paid and…

Knowledge Creates Power

We are being played America. Occupy Wall Street is anything but a grassroots movement like the Tea Party or even a ground swell movement for change like those of the 1960’s. In fact it is an orchestrated movement by the Progressive radicals (Alinskyites like Soros, Moore, Ayers, Dorn, the Kerrys and their minions) still in the fight since ‘60s who are now part of the power elite (an alliance of globalists, Marxists, and anarchists who have joined hands with every group that wants to destroy all or part of America… radical Muslims, big union management, and every so-called disenfranchised group including the Communist Party USA, radical Muslims and sickos who want to have sex with animals (see below)… and everything in-between) whose goal is the fundamental transformation of America and destruction of Capitalism and the U.S. Constitution. This movement is the beginning of Revolution in America (see video directly below). Then once they destroy America and the American way of life they start to fight each other. If we don’t wake up and stand up now we will soon find the events of the Arab Spring and Greece in our streets and by then it will be too late to stop the decline.

If you add this chaos to our fragile teetering economy and internal destruction all caused by the same alliance which includes those in the White House we are standing on edge of destruction and there is no more time to think and ponder. The time is now to stand up and act. If you haven’t read The Coming Insurrection buy or borrow a copy today but read it now. It is no longer coming… It is here!

Busted? British Paper Reveals Some Wall St. Protesters Are Quite Privileged

It’s a popular question when reading stories about the Occupy Wall St. protesters: Who are they? Well, now the British paper The Daily Mail is helping answer that question. The answer? Some of them seem to be quite privileged.

“A closer look at some of the impassioned protesters is starting to suggest that while many of them have genuine grievances,” the Daily Mail writes, “all may not be completely as advertised. “

Here’s what it means.

This is the clip from Nightly news with the kids – Occupy Wall street protests grow louder.

Shirley Orlando, after visiting the Occupy Wall Street rally wrote:

“This movement and occupation of streets of business, all across America is NOT anything related to the Tea Party, who wants to work within our Constitution to restore America, but rather, this movement is HELL BENT on REVOLUTION. The Administration has no intention of speaking out against them as they are on his team, organized by Stephen Lerner and direct Obama cronies and associates. Local governments are too timid to rid the streets of them. They have no permits to riot in the middle of the streets, but are being permitted to not only basically riot, but relieve themselves, trash the place and destroy property.

They are deadly, however, and should not be laughed off. Backed by every Marxist/Socialist/Communist organizations in America, with the blessing of big unions, Revolution of your government and your way of life is their goal. Please don’t make the mistake of thinking otherwise. They need to be stopped, before they cannot be stopped! Remember Hitler’s quote: “The only way our movement could have been stopped is if our opponents had consistently and forcefully driven us off the streets from the very beginning”

The movement is morphing ever closer to violent revolution and solidarity with their sister groups all over the world. There have been over a 1000 arrests; they have stormed the Hart Senate Office Building (notice the old lady left-over arrested in video) as well as the Museum of Science and Technology in Washington DC; and young girls attacked NYC Cops in the subway trying to arrest them. Something we need to remember: Progressives: Face of American Communism SEIU Organizer Stephen Lerner has already said that They Plan to Terrorize Families of Wall Street Executives. Protestors from the Arab Spring have embraced this so-called movement because they were backed by the same people and slowly they are moving toward united Worldwide revolution.

These early stages of protest are The Occupier’s Siren Song. We are in The Autumn of Living Dangerously but if we don’t stop them now they will take us to the Winder of the Destruction of the American Republic.

Is this really the change you voted for… and if not at least hoped for after Obama’s election?

Dumb as Box of Rocks… Lib Rep Keith Ellison Says Regulations Create Jobs

Read more at Gateway Pundit…

Transcript via Real Clear Politics:

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) tells MSNBC regulations create jobs because a business will have to hire people to help them comply with the new requirement.

“I think the answer is no,” Ellison said when asked if he believes regulations kill jobs. “And here is why: When we talked about increasing fuel efficiency standards, the industry responded, and they need engineers and designers and manufacturers, and they need actually more people to help respond to the new requirement.”

“I believe if the government says, look, we have got to reduce our carbon footprint, you will kick into gear a whole number of people that know how to do that or have ideas about that, and that will be a job engine. I understand what you mean, because if anything adds a cost to a business, you could assume that that will diminish that business’s ability to hire. But I don’t think that’s actually right. I think what businesses want is customers and what — if they are selling product, if they have a product to sell they will do well even if they have some new regulations to meet,” the Congressman said.
