Help provide hope and healing for American heroes and their families

NoisyRoom salutes all men and women who have served and are still serving. We owe all we have to you. Bless and keep every one of you and your families. We can never repay the debt we owe each of you.

No one expresses it better than Congressman Allen West:

Veterans Day Statement

(WASHINGTON)— Congressman Allen West (FL-22) released this statement today reflecting on Veterans Day:

“On this day of all days, all men and women who once wore the United States Military uniform are remembered for their service and sacrifice to our nation. Although this holiday is only one day out of the year, our Veterans are committed to protecting us every day.

George Washington once said, ‘The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by our nation.’

More than 1.1 million active duty servicemen are defending our nation right now. An additional 25 million military retirees and veterans are living in this nation, many who dedicated their entire professional and personal lives to protect our freedoms.

As a 22 year combat veteran of the United States Army, I am proud to have worn the uniform–as the son of a World War II Army veteran, the brother of a Vietnam Marine veteran, and the uncle of a current Army combat veteran.

I will always keep my fellow brothers and sisters in arms in mind each and every day I serve in the United States House of Representatives.

Our Veterans are sometimes the most underappreciated Americans. On this day, I remind and challenge our citizens as well as our Federal Government to continue to stand for its Warriors. The United States is known for having the most superior military in the world. Let us be admired for the way we take care of our veterans as well.

Always remember: All gave some, some gave all.”
