Last year Barack Obama ‘led-from-behind’ to help ‘rebel fighters’ defeat two long-time dictators in North Africa, Hosni Mubarak in Egypt and Muammar Gaddafi in Libya, in what became gloriously labeled the ‘Arab Spring,’ as if to channel Julie Andrews in “The Sound of Music.”
However, what Obama didn’t realize was that his ‘dream’ of free and democratic Muslim-dominated societies springing up would actually unleash the spread of Islamic Jihad against the United States and any other western democracy, in favor of Sharia Law-dominated religious theocracies.
In Egypt, the “Muslim Brotherhood” garnered the greatest number of votes in a ‘democratic’ election earlier in the year, and after taking ‘administrative power,’ with the military still in control of [U.S. subsidized, manufactured and trained] military assets.
In Libya, the hob knob cadre of ‘rebel militias’ that defeated, captured then executed Gaddafi, are now often fighting with one another for control of the nation’s vast oil wealth, while elements of al-Qaeda infiltrate the population.
The world is now beginning to get a sense of ‘deja vu,’ harkening back to 1979, when President Jimmy Carter (also a first-term Liberal ‘dove’ with no foreign policy chops), paved the way for the overthrow of The Shah of Iran, which ushered the ruthless Ayatollah Khomeini into power, the invasion the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and holding of 52 American citizens hostage for what would be 444 days–in what would become known as “The Iranian Hostage Crisis.”
To complete the picture of parallel plights, Jimmy Carter, like Barack Obama, had brought the United States to severe financial ‘Armageddon,’ wherein the term ‘stagflation’ was born; but, was nonetheless still slightly ahead in polling right up until the end.
Although Carter worked to ‘free’ the Embassy hostages, on the very eve of the election, against popular California Republican Gov. Ronald Reagan, talks with Iran collapsed–cinching Reagan’s 49 state landslide victory in November 1980.
Now, fast forward to the 11th anniversary of “9/11,” where first we had thousands of Muslim’s the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, purportedly angry about a 17-minute Youtube film circulating around the Internet that makes fun of Islam’s Prophet Mohammed. After spray painting Arabic slogans all over the 10 foot high perimeter wall, several ‘protesters’ climb the wall, enter the grounds, rip down and tear to shreds the American flag–then replace it with a black al-Qaeda flag without so much as being asked for a ‘photo ID’ by Embassy Marine Corps security.
The official U.S. Embassy response tells the whole, ‘feckless’ story for the Obama administration, as reported by CBS News today:
The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims–as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions.
Not a single word about invading the Embassy, stealing and desecrating the American flag, then surreptitiously dismissing our Constitutional First Amendment Right to ‘Freedom of Speech’ in favor of religious ‘hurt feelings,’ all the while the Muslim Brotherhood has been slaughtering Coptic Christian ‘believers’ and burning down their churches with impunity.
Then, hours later in the evening, next door in Libya, according to Wanis al-Sharef, an Interior Ministry official in Benghazi, another ‘angry’ Muslim mob attacked the U.S. Mission in Benghazi, overpowered the Libyan guards with automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenades, ultimately killing U.S. Ambassador to Libya, J. Christopher Stevens (who guided U.S. efforts helping the rebels to overcome the Gaddafi regime), along with three other Mission members, according to reporting today by The Associated Press.
Could this possibly be another ‘Jimmy Carter-scale’ blunder by a Liberal Democrat U.S. President–this time Barack Hussein Obama–whose vision for world peace could actually, and ironically, have financed and advanced the footprint of Islamic Extremism and Jihad in the Middle East, bringing the Apocalypse closer to the United States and the rest of the post-Old Testament modern world…particularly Israel.
Perhaps there is a very compelling reason why Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is so insistent upon meeting with the president this week–and likewise why Barack Obama is snubbing him for all of Israel to see.
Angry protesters climbed the walls of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo today and hauled down its U.S. flags, replacing them with black flags with Islamic emblems.
The incident prompted U.S. security guards to fire off a volley of warning shots as a large crowd gathered outside, apparently upset about the production of a Dutch film thought to insult the prophet Mohammed, said CNN producer Mohammed Fahmy, who was on the scene.
An Embassy operator told CNN that the facility had been cleared of diplomatic personnel earlier in the day, ahead of the apparent threat, while Egyptian riot police were called to help secure the Embassy walls.

The US State Department calls the purchase of Obama’s books “standard practice,” but critics call it “inappropriate.”

It’s the biggest books shopping spree we’ve seen in a while.
The State Department bought more than $70,000 worth of President Barack Obama’s books, The Washington Times reported Tuesday. The books, mostly Obama’s 1995 bestseller, “Dreams from My Father,” will be used as Christmas gratuities for embassy staff and to stock “key libraries” around the world.
Records show the US Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, spent more than $40,000 in 2009 on “Dreams,” and the US Embassy in South Korea spent $6,061 on the same title, all to be used for Christmas gratuities. Obama reported between $1 million to $5 million in royalties in 2010 for “Dreams From My Father,” and between $100,000 and $1 million in royalties for “The Audacity of Hope,” far more than he has made as President. If he earned 10 percent royalties on roughly $60,000 worth of the State Department purchases, he would pocket about $6,000, notes The Washington Times.
Both the White House – which was not involved in the buying – and the State Department have come under intense fire for the purchases.
“It’s inappropriate for U.S. taxpayer dollars to be spent on this,” Leslie Paige, the spokesman for Citizens Against Government Waste, told The Washington Times. “This sounds like propaganda.”
Tom Schatz, president of Citizens against Government Waste, told CNN that the purchases provide money from the taxpayers to the president in the form of royalties. “[I]n an era where everyone’s trying to cut back, it really doesn’t look good to the taxpayers to have this being done at the State Department.”
The State Department, as expected, is defending its shopping spree.
State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told CNN it is “longstanding practice” to allow embassies to buy books, “to put them out in libraries … give them to contacts, which they think will help deepen understanding of the U.S. political system, of U.S. political figures and leaders of U.S. history, U.S. culture.”
The purchases, she added are “done in strict accordance with government procurement standards.”
“It’s the embassies themselves that make the decisions what American books to buy. And they make these decisions based on the interest in the country where they are. But these are not decisions that are made in Washington, and they’re not decisions that are directed by Washington.”
The White House, for it’s part, is happy to wash its hands of this decision.
“Obviously, the White House didn’t have anything to do with this,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters traveling aboard Air Force One on Wednesday. “I think this is an embassy-by-embassy decision based on what they think … in buying books makes sense for them in terms of advancing American foreign policy interests.”

Wonder why the US presidential tracking polls were all showing Romney leading Obama until the DOJ brought a lawsuit against left-leaning Gallup Polls? Under the guise of attacking Gallup because it (according to the Obama-Holder wholly-owned US Department of “Justice”) presented “the government [with] inflated estimates of the number of hours that it would take to perform its services, even though it had separate and lower internal estimates of the number of hours that would be required.” Suing a company for an “estimate” of services the government didn’t like? Now, that’s really a new one! All said government needed to do was get a quote from another polling company before making its decision. However, the reality is that member-in-chief of the Obama goon squad–David Axelrod–had both the audacity and Goebbels-like behavior to threaten polling companies for not offering more positive polls (a snarling Axelrod questioned Gallup’s entire “methodology”). After the Axelrod emails went out, Holder filed a lawsuit against Gallup polling. For Dictator-in-Chief Obama and his top minions…things happen immediately.
A 6 September Fox News report (“Emails suggest Axelrod leaned on Gallup after unfavorable poll”) states: “According to the email chain titled “Axelrod vs. Gallup,” the White House in addition asked that a Gallup staffer “come over and explain our methodology,” which was apparently perceived as a subtle threat.
“A Gallup official said in an email he thought Axelrod’s pressure “sounds a little like a Godfather situation.”
“Imagine [Axelrod] with Brando’s voice: ‘I’d like you to come over and explain your methodology…You got a nice poll there … would be a shame if anything happened to it… .” At that time, the Gallup poll showed “Romney leading Obama 48-43 percent.”
In fact, most of the pollsters had been reporting that Romney was leading Obama just before the Axelrod threats and Obama-Holder DOJ lawsuit was filed. This is, yet, just the latest example of the USA under dictatorial tyranny. The (now) completely and unsuitably named Department of “Justice” is no more than a sledge hammer in the hands of Obama sycophant US Atty. Gen. Eric Holder, which is being used against anyone and everyone who doesn’t toe the line of the Obama syndicate.
In February of this year, I wrote the column “Obama Media begin the Faking of Obama Poll Numbers.” That reality continues through to today with one major difference–it is now commanded by Dictator-in-Chief and would-be Emperor-of-the-Realm Barack Hussein Obama and his increasingly motley crew.
Again, in November we need to vote in previously unprecedented and such huge numbers that it will counter and exceed the number of fraudulent Obama votes, in order to evict Barry and his entire group of minions and whispering sulfur-breathed advisors. Remember, the truth is that either we get rid of him or he will get rid of us.
We keep hearing about the need to be tolerant of our Muslim associations; just because they have a different religion we shouldn’t consider them a threat to our way of life. Our president has invited these barbarians as guests into the White House, wined and dined them as a gesture of friendship. Obama even gave the Muslim Brotherhood a billion and a half dollars; just a helping hand to our closest friends.
“In his Wednesday CFP report, Hagmann, who described the “Origins of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) as having been founded in Egypt on 30 April, 2011 by the Muslim Brotherhood, “which is the ideological forefather of al Qaeda and Hamas, supporter of Sharia Law, and an advocate of terrorism against Israel and the West”, named names:
“Abdul Mawgoud Dardery, a VIP of the delegation hosted at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is an outspoken proponent of Sharia law over democracy and openly critical of American business influences in Egypt.”
After our embassy in Libya was besieged, Ambassador Stephens murdered and his body dragged through the street as a symbol of victory over the American infidels who dared to let one of their citizens post a video on YouTube, one which portrayed Islam in a less than favorable light; Obama, representing America, apologized to this band of murderers.
I read a report on Powerline by John Hinderaker, in which a medical doctor at a Libyan hospital claimed Ambassador Stephens died of smoke inhalation. Stephens’ car was set on fire and burned violently while he was attempting to help others escape the onslaught; however, this report may be a fabrication. He appeared to have been beaten and may have died some other way; trusting your enemies to be truthful isn’t the smartest thing to do. (Just thought I’d mention that to anyone in the White House who might be paying attention.)
Byron York writing for the Washington Examiner covered Mitt Romney’s remarks on the situation of our embassy being taken over and our countrymen killed. Why would our president express sympathy for murdering thugs who are intolerant of America, so intolerant they have promised to eradicate us?
“…Romney was, and is, right. As events in Benghazi and Cairo unfolded, the Obama administration’s first instinct was to apologize for any offense Muslims might have taken from an Internet video, made in America, that mocked and ridiculed the prophet Mohammed, and which the radicals cited as the cause for their actions. In his original statement last night, Romney said, “It’s disgraceful that the Obama administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.” Then, on Wednesday morning, Romney said the administration “was wrong to stand by a statement sympathizing with those who had breached our embassy in Egypt instead of condemning their actions.”’
I’m waiting for Obama to offer up the State of Arizona as a token of our unwavering commitment to suck up to Islam and the Brotherhood. That would solve issues Obama’s administration has with immigration laws that protect U.S. citizens; let the wetbacks try and cross the border into Arizona and see how well they’re received by a bunch of raving lunatics carrying Russian made fully automatic weapons. I bet there’s no way to say “allah akbar” in Spanish; it would come out sounding like a side order to go with enchiladas.
Shifting gears… and perhaps planets; the fellow who promised to repair my mantle clock wasn’t at his shop this morning when I went to drop it off. I’d met him several months ago when he’d lost the only working key for his vehicle. We got to talking about my broken clock and he said he could probably repair it for less than two hundred dollars; just drop it off and let him have a look.
When he answered the phone I jogged his memory and I told him the brand of clock and what was wrong, “Well, it’s been ‘almost Seven’ going on three years now”; that’s where the hands stopped when something inside went “sproing”!
He laughed and told me to leave it in his garage, “Just open the door and find a flat spot near my old Model A Ford. Be careful, that garage door is tricky and might come down on you”.
We talked about how much it would cost and that I wanted the job done before Lucy got home from her trip, a surprise sort of thing. The bill would be paid up front in cash and I would find a place inside the clock to deposit the money.
“Just leave a hundred and seventy or a hundred and eighty, which ever is easier.” I had to laugh at the option offered; nobody lets the customer determine the price, do they?
I told him, “A hundred and twenty would be much easier” and we both laughed at the bargain I was making for myself at his expense; I left an appropriate amount stuffed under the little thingies that make the chimes work. He’ll have the clock fixed in a couple of days and give me a call to pick it up well before Lucy gets home.
My guess is there aren’t any clock repair shops like that in Libya, people who will do business in a reasonable fashion and where civilized folks can have fun like that. If there were they’d have been burnt to the ground by now, their owners hanging from a flag pole with a sign warning infidels to stay the hell out. Doing business with reasonable people is so much nicer; down right hard to find a reasonable person these days.

“Less than 24 hours after our nation remembered the heinous attacks of September 11, 2001, Americans find their sovereign soil attacked again as more American lives are lost at the hands of intolerant, barbaric, radical Muslims.
United States Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, and several embassy staff were murdered late yesterday when suspected religious extremists stormed the United States Consulate in Benghazi. This morning, my condolences and prayers go out to the families of the victims.
Americans need to question whether the deaths of these innocent patriots could have been avoided. The Obama Administration touted the Arab Spring as an awakening of freedom, which we now see is a nightmare of Islamism.
Even more concerning, is the initial response to these attacks last night from the embassy officials of the Obama Administration was to apologize for a Facebook video that supposedly hurt Muslim feelings. President Obama’s policy of appeasement towards the Islamic world has manifested itself into a specter of unconscionable hatred.
How anyone can believe this President is strong on national security and foreign policy is beyond my comprehension. President Obama has clearly surpassed former President Jimmy Carter and his actions during the Iranian Embassy crisis as the weakest and most ineffective person to ever occupy the White House.”
