Media to Declare Biden the Debate Winner

Media figures get reprimanded, suspended, or even fired when caught plagiarizing the work of others. But politicians who get caught sometimes get promotions. A case in point is former Senator and failed presidential candidate Joe Biden, now the nation’s vice-president and “one heartbeat away” from the Oval Office.

Known for making humorous and outrageous gaffes and statements, Biden’s history of plagiarism goes back to the time when he ran for president in 1988. Biden had delivered, without attribution, passages from a speech by British Labor Party leader Neil Kinnock.

Political scientist Larry Sabato has noted that this led to revelations about a serious plagiarism incident involving Biden during his law school years, reports of exaggerations of his academic record, and the discovery that he had stolen quotations from other politicians, including Bobby Kennedy, in other speeches.

But don’t expect the major media to remind voters of Biden’s history of plagiarism. They are gearing up to declare him the winner of Thursday’s vice-presidential debate, no matter what happens.

But another taboo subject remains: Does the so-called “Gaffe-O-Matic” Vice President suffer from Alzheimer’s or some form of dementia?

Henry I. Miller has written in Forbes that Biden’s utterances “suggest some sort of dementia.” Biden, who will be 70 in November, “frequently has fumbled and bumbled in his public remarks,” says Miller.

Conservative writer Ben Hart says, “Biden raised eyebrows most recently when he insisted in a speech to a predominantly black audience that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are ‘gonna put y’all back in chains.’ But this is just the latest in an endless catalogue of bizarre statements by Joe Biden, who often doesn’t seem to know where he is or even what century he’s living in. Much of the time, he appears to be confused, addled.”

He adds, “One or two crazy statements here and there would not be so alarming. But Biden is now saying crazy things every time he speaks, every time he opens his mouth. I actually listened to Biden’s entire ‘y’all in chains’ speech, and very little of it made any sense at all.”

“Expectations are extremely low for Biden,” notes John David Dyche in the Louisville Courier-Journal. “So gaffe-prone that he previously resorted to plagiarizing campaign speeches, Biden recently admitted that the middle class has been ‘buried’ during the last four years. But the national press, desperate to redeem their fallen champion Obama, will proclaim Biden the winner if he does anything more than drool on the Norton Center [Norton Center For The Arts at Centre College] stage.”

Centre College in Kentucky is hosting the vice presidential debate.

Writing in the Boston Herald, Holly Robichaud says, “It will be big if Ryan wins Thursday night’s exchange with the seasoned vice president. However, you cannot expect the mainstream media to play it that way—especially after last week’s exercise in giving every excuse in the book for President Obama’s lackluster performance.”

As we noted back in 2007 on the issue of Biden’s plagiarism, Biden had insisted in a book, Promises to Keep, that he failed to credit Kinnock on only one occasion, and that the media had exaggerated the incident. But why was he quoting from a biographical speech by Kinnock in the first place? Didn’t Biden have his own story to tell? In another case, a reporter asked about Biden using a Bobby Kennedy quote without attribution. Biden blamed this on “one of my speechwriters” who “had inserted an RFK line” into the speech “without telling me.”

This is the closest Biden has come to admitting he doesn’t write his own material, and that he repeats what others put in front of him. On other occasions, however, he is on his own, and that seems to be the most worrisome.

Incredibly, Steve Kornacki, a co-host of the MSNBC show, The Cycle, has written an article under the headline, “Joe Biden to the rescue? The vice president has a chance to remind his party what a real debater looks and sounds like.”

On the other hand, he writes, “Again, it’s possible that Biden will fall flat on his face Thursday, or that his performance will fall somewhere in the forgettable middle. But after 40 years in national politics, he has an unusual opportunity both to alter his own image and to enhance his future political prospects.”

Whatever the result, About.com has compiled “Bidenisms,” a series of “Dumb Joe Biden Quotes and Gaffes.” Some of the best:

  • “Folks, I can tell you I’ve known eight presidents, three of them intimately.”
  • “I promise you, the president has a big stick. I promise you.”
  • “A man I’m proud to call my friend. A man who will be the next President of the United States—Barack America!”

Time Magazine compiled the “Top 10 Joe Biden Gaffes,” noting, “Throughout his decades of public service, the former Senator and current Vice President has earned a reputation for often saying the wrong thing at the wrong time.”

After Thursday’s debate, the list may get longer. But will the major media bother to notice?

Open Letter to the Patriots of America

A Land Called America

The “Greatest Generation” is leaving us, at a rate of 10,000 each day. They left us a heritage of pride, honor and patriotism, along with a love of God, family, and country. We are their sons, daughters and grandchildren. The “Torch of Liberty,” lit by our founders, passed through the generations and held so high by our parents and
grandparents has now been passed to us. Even now, as we prepare to pass it to the next generation, my fear is that their greatest challenge in holding it high will be solving problems not of their own making.

America is not a place, but an ideal. It is an ideal which has lived in the hearts of mankind since the beginning of time. This idea is to live free in a land of freedom. Our founders addressed it when they established these “Shores of Freedom” two hundred and thirty-six years ago. They created a nation out of a wilderness. Their children and grandchildren spread it from “Sea to Shining Sea.” Today the world
calls it the United States of America but, by the grace of God, we call it home.

America has been called a “Nation of Immigrants,” and that is true beyond any reasonable doubt. Since its inception, generations of freedom loving men and women have flocked to these shores. Together we have created the “Greatest Nation in the History of the World.” Each immigrant has brought his or her own particular talents and skills to be stitched into the social, economic, and political fabric of this great land.

Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

Today we are facing the greatest threats to our freedom since our Founding Fathers penned the Declaration of Independence. This threat is not coming from foreign armies gathering on foreign shores, but from our own government. The freedoms we all hold dear are gradually being eroded by a small group of individuals in Washington, D.C. Our founders threw off the shackles of the British Empire with which they
were bound. Our task is to throw off the shackles of the Obama Administration and his minions in the “Elite Washington Establishment.”

Patriots are not born. They are shaped and molded by the “Storms of Life,” and the “Sands of Time.” They come in all colors, genders and sizes. Some are born in America, while others have fled to these shores seeking to build a life of freedom for themselves and their families. Out of eight billion people occupying the earth, only three hundred ten million are privileged to wear the name “American.”

We have one, and only one, shot at saving our country. This is not about Obamacare, gas prices or green energy. This is about the life of the land we love. It is about the future of our children and grandchildren. It is about preserving the “Land of the Free and Home of the Brave” for future generations. On November 6, 2012 the life of America hangs in the balance. The time has come for good men and women to take a stand or set back and let evil prevail. The ideal which is America must be preserved. It is a fight we cannot lose, we must not lose and with God’s help, we will not lose.

My sincere hope is that this message will be picked up by the patriots of this great nation and spread from shore to shore. The life of America depends on it and that life is now in our hands. I pray we will have the wisdom and courage to put an end to the Obama Administration alomg with the Elite Washington Establishment and
restore the freedoms upon which this “Land of America” was built. Future generations will be our judge. May they look upon us favorably!

Justin Trudeau, the Paris Hilton of Canadian politics

Conservatives should all stand up and support Justin Trudeau in his run for the leadership of the Grits.

If an impuissant environmentalist like Stéphane Dion, or an effete American academic like Michael Ignatieff, or a socialist socialite like Bob Rae didn’t fire up the conservative base, just wait until the spawn of Canada’s greatest spender takes the helm of Canada’s greatest-spending party.

Laws restrict individuals. This is a good thing when it comes to criminals. But in the case of ingenuity and prosperity, the majority of bills passed by Liberals have proven detrimental.

Take for instance the Indian Act which since 1951 has prevented Canada’s First Nations from owning property; monopolized public healthcare which has killed tens of thousands of Canadians sitting on wait lists since 1966; the Official Languages Act of 1969 which, at a cost of $2.4 billion a year, and counting, has failed to change Canada’s linguistic landscape except of course in the federal civil service where les Francaphones are far overrepresented; the National Energy Program which destroyed Canada’s economy in 1981; and finally the long-gun registry which robbed lawful gun owners of their rights in 1993 and lasted right up until last year. And it’s all cheerily endorsed by the Paris Hilton of Canadian politics, Monsieur Justin Trudeau, for your own damn good!

Imagine if President Clinton had broken up Bill Gates’ Microsoft Corporation in the 1990s. Sure, Apple creator Steve Jobs might’ve endorsed that plan at the time. But then it turned out that stiff competition from Microsoft made Apple the powerhouse it is today.

Americans pay less than half what we’re forced to pay for things like basic communication services, transportation, and food, all thanks to a centralized, Liberal statist agenda, strictly controlled from Ottawa.

For the better part of the last century we’ve been taught by Liberals to despise free enterprise. Meanwhile, in the early twentieth century, John D. Rockefeller, the founder of Standard Oil Company, bought up his competitors and drove inefficient oil companies in America into bankruptcy, thereby establishing an empire that lowered the cost of fuel by over 90%. That would never have happened − and won’t ever happen − under Trudeaupian Liberal rule.

Liberals at one point supported free trade, but the once-proud Liberal brand now represents a growing class of non-traders, non-doers, non-producers and non-innovators; people who devote themselves to constantly inflicting the government into the affairs of hard-working Canadians: bureaucrats, professional politicians, public-service employees, environmental and “human rights” activists, and of course a modest bevy of welfare bums.

Whether you’re a farmer, fisherman, logger, miner, small businessman, or anyone who employs himself or others, you’re forced to work every day to pay the way of these Liberal freeloaders who seek to make your life more difficult, or to put you out of business altogether. As Paul Wells puts it in the May edition of Maclean’s, “The most prominent Liberal in the country remains an admirer of government’s ability to get things done.” Aw shucks.

But look, the history of Canada has squat to do with government’s “abilities.” It’s innovative individuals that matter, in spite of, not because of, whichever party is in power.

But, alas, in Justin’s prophetic words: “Before we can convince Canadians that we have the best platform, we have to re-convince Canadians that politics should be in the business of shaping the future of Canada.”

If a Conservative said that, she’d be referring to getting government out of the way. But when someone with the Trudeau name talks about shaping your future, brace yourself, and start looking for a good bankruptcy lawyer.

Sounds like the right man to lead the Liberals to me!

Obama Pays Tribute to Socialist Forerunner Cesar Chavez

The late United Farm Workers leader Cesar Chavez was trained by the famous Chicago agitator Saul Alinsky.

He worked closely with Communist Party USA members like Bert Corona and was closely affiliated to the US’ largest Marxist organization, Democratic Socialists of America.

Chavez marched under the famous slogan “Si se puede!” – later translated into English to become Obama’s 2008 campaign slogan “Yes we can!”

The Chavez movement was, in many ways the forerunner of the Obama movement. Overlapping personnel and constituent organizations, identical radical ideology.

Yesterday president Obama joined several leaders of the Alinsky/communist/socialist movement, including Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Obama Labor Secretary Hilda Solis and DSA icon Dolores Huerta, in a ceremony in Keene, California, where Chavez’s former home was officially designated a national monument.

Rebuild America Defeat Obama Tour: Not a Dry Eye in The Place

On the Rebuild America Defeat Obama national bus tour, we finale every rally with “God Bless the USA.” As the song is sung, vets in the audience are invited on stage. At our rally in Saint Clair Shores, MI, a very frail bent over gentleman, overflowing with dignity, slowly and methodically began making his way to the stage, assisted by his daughter. The old soldier was 92 year-old WW II vet, Mr. Roher.

Talk about an amazing moment, there was hardly a dry eye in the audience. Though unspoken, somehow Mr. Roher epitomized the pride, dignity and greatness of America.

The Left relentlessly attempts to brand the Tea Party haters. We are NOT about hate. Quite the opposite. The Tea Party is about love – love for the greatest nation on the planet and a deep desire to restore and preserve it.

A member of our team said Mr. Roher’s daughter said she believes her dad is holding on to life until after the election.
