NASA’s Chinese Spy Problem

Gee, someone was a very naughty little spy who got caught trying to flee the country back to the Chinese homeland. It’s to the woodshed for Bo Jiang who is (or was) a national scientist employed by a NASA contractor for work at the space agency’s Langley Research Center. We owe our thanks to Rep. Frank Wolf, R-VA, who has doggedly gone after this issue for some time. I wrote just recently on NASA’s teeny-weeny spy problem here. Looks like NASA is suffering from a massive infestation of Chinese spies.

So, let me get this straight (and I’m not being funny here):

  • We’ve got radical Islamists in our government, committing a soft coup from within. Check.
  • We’ve got Commie radicals in our unions, schools and major institutions. Check.
  • We’ve got Commies, radical Islamists and spies in our political ranks. Check.
  • We’ve got Commie spies from China throughout our scientific communities. Check.

The only surprise here, is that we haven’t been totally destroyed from the enemies within yet. But, hey… they’re working hard at it. And we have a treasonous Marxist President merrily helping them steal our scientific and military secrets. Peachy. Our Red Dawn is actually occurring very slowly, but it is progressing nevertheless.

It would seem that Jiang decided to leave the country abruptly, using a one-way ticket home. I’m actually surprised he was caught. Must have been a lapse in incompetence somewhere. The FBI’s arrest warrant states they were “investigating conspiracies and substantive violations of the Arms Export Control Act.” Interesting. Of course, he also lied to the agents and tried hiding a laptop, hard drive and SIM card. Bad spy, bad… It would seem that whistleblowers at NASA turned his red hide in. Good for them. At least there are a few patriots left at NASA (not for Obama’s want of trying to eliminate them).

You know what bugs me? This guy had taken sensitive information back to China previously. Did they know when he did this, or just find this out? I’ll bet NASA knew. From The Washington Examiner:

Wolf said he hopes to learn more about the information contained on Jiang’s hard drive. He said “we know that Mr. Jiang has in the past taken sensitive information back to China that he should not have been allowed to remove at Langley.”

Wolf also said he believes Jiang’s information “may pertain to the source code for high-tech imaging technology that Jiang has been working on with NASA. This information could have significant military applications for the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army.”

Sensitive technologies that are supposed to be strictly limited by U.S. export control laws are essential to U.S. space defense programs, but Wolf said they could also apply to “unmanned aerial vehicles and other aerospace/aeronautic technologies.”

Say it with me: Drones. Well, that makes me feel really safe and snug, how about you? So, we seem to know about info going back to China. Note to the FBI, is this a game of three treasonous leaks and you’re out? Maybe it’s ‘who’s on first.’

NASA Inspector-General Paul Martin said he believes there are nearly 200 Chinese nationals working in positions that afford them significant access to the agency and its programs. And I would bet many of them are spies. And why not? They were invited in and the info was practically gift-wrapped and handed to them. Duh.

Maybe we are just giving away our military secrets and technology to our debt holders. If that isn’t the case, then we should treat them like spies and punish them as the asshats du espionage they are. You execute them. You guys ever hear of background checks? Vetting anyone? Our government seems to be anal about tracking every movement of Americans — except those that they should keep tabs on — the radical Islamists, Communists and potential spies. NASA, we have a Chinese spy problem.

Set in Place and Hopeful

The 33rd government has been announced by Prime Minister Netanyahu in its final permutation. The list of ministers (22 in number) and deputies is provided at the end of this posting. You may want to save it.

After the balagan of establishing the coalition, with all of its extraordinary tensions and game-playing, I am finding that there truly are enough good people in the government so that there is some reason to be hopeful.

A handful of changes from the prior list I had shared, which was still tentative, are worthy of note here:

Yuval Steinitz (Likud), former Finance Minister, will be holding the position of Minister for International, Intelligence and Strategic Affairs — an important position that includes handling strategic dialogue with the United States.

I had assumed — incorrectly — that the responsibilities of the Ministry of Strategic Affairs, which had been headed by Moshe Ya’alon, would be subsumed under his new Defense Ministry position. As it turns out, it has been decided that strategic affairs, along with intelligence, will fall within Steinitz’s new bailiwick. This new ministry was actually created for him.

Steinitz, who previously served as a chair of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, will also sit on the committee overseeing negotiations, such as they may be, with the Palestinian Arabs.

The left-wing Ofer Shelah (Yesh Atid) will not be Deputy Defense Minister under Ya’alon after all. Instead that position will be filled by the nationalist Danny Danon (Likud).

There is question as to how much power Elkin will have in the current absence of foreign minister designate Avigdor Lieberman: will he be temporary de facto minister, or was his a political appointment? The question is all the more intriguing because Elkin, who is a nationalist, has not exactly seen eye-to-eye with Netanyahu over a period of time.

According to Israel Hayom, professionals at the Foreign Ministry, unhappy about the lack of clear definition about Elkin’s role, are also smarting because they have not been assigned a place in strategic negotiations with the US or in negotiations with the PA.

What I begin to wonder is how much ministry there will be left to head, should Lieberman return to his prior post.

Perhaps most surprising is that fact that Moshe Feiglin (Likud) — who has been a persistent challenge to Netanyahu, and someone the prime minister, until now, has tried his best to sideline — has been given a position as Deputy Speaker of the Knesset. Not the most powerful of positions — he will on occasion run Knesset sessions when the Speaker Yuli Edelstein is unavailable — it still marks the first time that Netanyahu has accorded Feiglin, a staunch nationalist ideologue, any recognition.

This is just one of the appointments that makes me wonder, all over again, exactly who Binyamin Netanyahu is. He is not consistent in the message he gives. (Please, do not write to share your theory about the prime minister.)

The new ministers have been sworn in, and the prime minister held his first Cabinet meeting shortly thereafter. He told those gathered:

“There are excellent people here, fit people, experienced people. The only way to be successful will be to work together, which I’m sure we will do. The citizens of Israel are expecting us to work together…”

Faction heads within the coalition are making the appropriately conciliatory noises: Everyone is talking about standing behind Netanyahu and being of assistance for the sake of the nation. They should only take a hard look now at what’s coming down the road and mean what they say!

Tzipi Livni made her little speech about how she’ll work diligently to advance “peace talks.”

But Yisrael Beitenu Chair (and Foreign Minister designate) MK Avigdor Lieberman called a press conference to mark the beginning of the new government, at which he said that there would be no more progress in peace negotiations in the next four years than there has been in the past four.

He further said that Israel would “emphatically oppose any attempt to reimpose a [building] freeze.”

We have been confronting increased Palestinian Arab violence of one sort and another in Judea and Samaria of late. A Shin Bet report indicates that there were a total of 139 attacks, including firebombings and the use of improvised explosives, in February, compared to 83 in January.

Of the many incidents that might be mentioned, I want to call attention to two specific ones here:

Just today, a 70 year old man was shot in the legs on a road outside Kedumim in Samaria. According to an Israel National News report, the assailant, in a car, had stopped to ask directions, and then shot him.

While last Thursday night, on a road outside of Ariel, also in Samaria, Arabs threw rocks that hit a truck, causing it to veer off course and collide with a car. The woman driving the car and her three young daughters were all injured, but it was the youngest, Adelle Biton, age two, who was hurt critically. She is still fighting for her life.

It is, first of all, important that incidents such as this be widely publicized. But beyond this, there is the need to respond more forcefully to this low-grade terrorism. And it is here that I have hope.

Shortly after Adelle Biton was so seriously injured, Naftali Bennett made a statement:
“Some people take rock throwing lightly, and prevent action against them. Rock throwers are trying to murder and they need to be treated accordingly.

“Let us pray for the life of the baby girl.”

How correct he is, and how refreshing to hear someone call it as it is, advocating a new and necessarily tough stance. Many is the time I’ve heard rock throwing minimized — “just kids throwing stones.” Look again.

Then today, after the man was shot in the legs, MK Moti Yogev, a colonel in the reserves and former commander of an elite infantry unit, called for changing the rules of engagement with terrorists:

“The event in Samaria is, in effect, a development from events where rules of engagement were changed. If we are willing to [tolerate] rock attacks, then the fire bombs follow. If we are lax on fire bombs, then we experience the gunfire. This is how it was in the past, and this is apparently what is happening now.

“…I hope that the IDF, under the new incoming defense minister…Minister Moshe Yaalon, together with the new deputy defense minister, Danny Danon, will set a policy that will make clear, first, that the Land of Israel belongs to the nation of Israel, and this policy is also what gives us quiet from terror attacks, and that he will set a clear policy regarding rules of engagement, and the all-out war against the terrorists.”

More welcome words, which must be followed by appropriate action. An all-out war against the terrorists, indeed, without fear of how it would be spun in the international press, or what other nations expect from us.

MK Avigdor Lieberman expressed a very similar sentiment when he called upon Defense Minister Ya’alon to instruct soldiers to open fire at “rock-throwing terrorists….

“Rock-throwing [should] be treated like shooting using firearms, only this kind of change will stop civilians and soldiers from being targeted by Arab rioters and prevent disasters.”

Well, I was on King David Street today, site of the King David Hotel, where President Obama will be staying, and saw some of the security preparations being set up. For local residents, the president’s visit means an inability to move about the city.

All in all, there’s no way to avoid the fact that he’s coming. So stay tuned…

Talk continues unabated with regard to the fact that the US Embassy, on behalf of the president, invited Israeli university students to hear his speech at the International Convention Center in Jerusalem (Binyanei Ha’uma) on Thursday, but excluded those of Ariel University in Samaria for what seem to be political reasons. Obama is trying to reach out to young people, but has set a negative tone before the event has even taken place.

Uri Reshtik, Israel Student Union Chair, has sent a letter to the Embassy in which he refers to the exclusionary invitation as “discrimination based on ulterior motives. Such discrimination is not respectable and not acceptable.”

MK Nachman Shai (Labor) has gone further, calling on student’s to boycott Obama’s main speaking event:

“It is shocking to think that you can disqualify students just because they learn in the West Bank. I do not understand how President Obama wants to conduct a dialogue with the Israeli public when he is consciously excluding part of it.”

Franklin Graham & Richard Land: WRONG on National Background Checks for Gun Buyers

In ReligionToday.com’s “Evangelical Leaders Back Universal Background Checks for Gun Buyers“:

Rev. Franklin Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse, and Dr. Richard Land from the Southern Baptist Convention told TIME Magazine they supported the proposal.

Their favoring universal (central, national) background checks for gun purchases is a classic example of those who should be patriots compromising themselves (and the rest of us!) to the enemy’s controlled, Marxian dialectic process, by “synthesis” with them, after their “antithesis” is advanced by their vanguard.

This is not a power and control that Americans and our states can afford to give up to national government. Both our founders’ Federalists and Anti-Federalists would strongly object (excerpt for a very few perhaps, such as the plutocratic Alexander Hamilton).

Any regulation of firearm ownership was meant to take place where militias were to be regulated, in local and state governance. Otherwise, it is centralized control of our production and distribution of firearms, which is what communist and fascist nations do by definition. (And along the way, national regulation leads to forced disarming of the people, for the sake of totalitarian control.)

The framers made it clear that our Second Amendment is there for the self protection of our Sovereign People from potential governmental despotism and a return to authoritarianism. Universal background checks are a long step to exactly that despotism and that is why the Marxofascist complex wants it.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

My Black Family Regarding Obama

Make no mistake about it, Barack Obama is the leader of a movement rather than our president pursuing the best interest of the United States of America. To all you black folks in my family who still think there is something seriously wrong with me for not supporting our black president, allow me to explain.

Obama is leading a socialistic secular progressive anti-America movement.

I am elated that a few (two) in our family have seen the light, but the vast majority have not. What I find extremely disappointing is that no amount of facts/truth appears to cause you to at least question your Obama zombie-ism. Your racism is so all consuming, you’re like the walking brain dead, with Obama’s black skin trumping everything.

Ironically, expecting me to join your worship of Obama goes against how I was raised. I was raised to stand up for what is right – always striving to do things God’s way. But when America elected a black president, our family’s morality and objectivity was thrown out the window in matters relating to this bizarre despicably conniving man. His race and skin color are all that matters. Who Obama is and what he stands for is irrelevant.

While I will always love my family, my respect for who we have presented ourselves to be from as far back as I can remember has been injured.

Despite your little digs, inferring that I am the weird guy in the family, I will not join your worship of the false idols/gods of race and skin color. Y’all raised me better!

Mentally Incompetent Gun Legislators are Dangerous

You read that right; Mentally Incompetent Gun Legislators are more dangerous to our society than criminals or mentally incompetents with guns. The folks writing an endless stream of laws intended to save us from ourselves are out of their collective minds. It’s no accident I used the word collective either; transforming America from a constitutional republic into a third world socialist country is the result of collectivism standing on the throat of individual liberty.

We’ve come to expect a total disregard for God given inalienable rights from Democrats as they are nothing more than America’s Socialist Party; but many wolves in sheep’s clothing under the guise of the Republican Party, RINOs, have abandoned individual core values in favor of the collective.

Cleon Skousen warned in his book, The Naked Communist, this would happen as he listed the communist’s goals required to take over America. Here are but a few:

“Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture–education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.”

Correct me if I’m mistaken; but are not most, if not all of the listed items being employed at this time in order to dissolve our 2nd Amendment right to own and bear arms?

According to an article appearing on Fox News website, “…South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who on Thursday again expressed his interest in getting the measure passed” in reference to legislation “keeping the mentally ill from owning firearms.”

The problem with ‘making society safe’ via ‘Nanny’ legislation, it ignores the rule of law and eventually destroys the foundations which support the very society which these laws were intended to preserve.

“Graham’s proposal would require that people found mentally incompetent be added to the National Instant Criminal Background System – the database for all new gun sales.
Those added to the list would have to be found incompetent by a federal court or other official body.” (emphasis added)

Bad legislation fails to be specific; in this case “…or other official body” is an open ended pit fall which lends itself to abuse. Who has been given the authority to take the place of a judge sitting in a court of law set up for the purpose of determining competency? More properly stated, who has usurped powers never intended for any agent or agency of government other than a judge sitting in a court of law set up for the purpose of determining competency?

If a person is found to be of unsound mind and incapable of reasoned thought by a qualified judge then by all means, list that person’s name on the National Instant Criminal Background System; however, and this is a huge however, clear that list of anyone who has been included via any source other than through a final adjudication in a proper court of law.

The National Instant Criminal Background System is currently well suited for corruption and misuse, not much different than the No Fly List which limits individual liberty to move about freely in our society.

The National Instant Criminal Background System, the database for all new gun sales, can be used and is being used in direct violation of individual rights protected by our constitutional form of government. As it stands now, damn near anyone under the broad interpretation of “other official body” can enter an individual’s name effectively reducing these folks to the status, Ward of the State, denying them equal protection and freedom without benefit of the full judiciary processes.

In short America has become a police state, albeit a very comfortable prison in which a wide assortment of creature comforts are available; but a police state none the less where individual rights are removed willy-nilly at the discretion of folks who lack authority, and more so, accountability to We The People.

Kurt Nimmo, writing for Infowars.com recorded a move by Sen. Diane Feinstein to deny 2nd amendment rights to all veterans.

“During the Senate Judiciary meeting today (March 7, 2013) to markup a potpourri of bills designed to deny the American people their rights under the Second Amendment and disarm them, Senator Dianne Feinstein opposed an amendment to her so-called assault weapons ban legislation that would allow veterans to continue buying firearms the bill would outlaw.

Feinstein basically said all veterans have PTSD and should have their Second Amendment stripped.”

Aside from expressing her disdain for any who have served or are currently serving in the military, Sen. Feinstein exposes her distrust in We The People as a whole. She, as do many others in our Congress and Senate, set at naught the very foundations of a nation founded on principles of self governance.

Let’s be clear about how things work in a constitutional republic; courts decide an individual’s ability to hold full membership in our society based on evidence supplied to and approved by the court prior to arriving at a verdict. All individuals are considered to hold full membership rights as protected by the Constitution and Bill of Rights without regard for race, creed, color or religious affiliation unless directed to by a court of law. It’s that simple.

If we as a society permit government representatives to violate this premise by introducing or passing legislation which interrupts this important foundation then no individual is protected. At that moment we become subject to the whims of government and its endless bureaucracies, bureaucracies filled with self appointed potentates who lack legitimacy. In short we’ve abandoned the rule of law and introduced chaos.

America has become a police state. Our representative form of government has been replaced with totalitarian elitist organizations with no regard for constitutional restraints written specifically to preserve God given inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

“…But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.–Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain (or – present government) is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.”

If this continues, and it surely will, there can only be two outcomes; either we will continue to be fed only what our masters consider essential to maintain the status quo, led like sheep to the shearers or there will be a violent uprising to restore all that has been removed.

The only proper way to affect change regarding an individual’s 2nd Amendment right to own and bear arms would be to make a Constitutional Amendment altering or dissolving the 2nd Amendment. Congress has been specifically barred from infringing on these rights and any legislation they create regarding bans on invented categories such as ‘assault weapons’ or cosmetic alterations to otherwise lawful weapons is in direct defiance of We The People.

Heaven help us as the time quickly approaches, perhaps is already here, when reason is replaced with total civil unrest and violence. Our foundations are as valid as the day they were written; it’s our leadership which has become corrupt.
