This week’s winner, The Right Planet’s Defining the Enemy — Islamic Terror, is an excellent look at what happens when people, for whatever reason, are victims of what psychiatrists call ‘category error,’ the inability to solve problems because of the difficulty in properly defining or naming them. Here’s a slice:

You know, I’m getting sick and tired listening to leaders from both sides of the political spectrum try and blow sunshine up our collective posteriors when it comes to Islamic terrorism. Just as I have predicted all along, there’s not going to be any “moderate” Free Syrian Army. For all the radical leftists out there who have deluded their minds into believing Zuccotti-style democracy is going to take hold in places like Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen and Syria … well, they need to extricate themselves from the very murky, dark place in which they find themselves so firmly and perpetually ensconced.

And herein lies the problem, in my opinion: the whole notion of a “war on terror” misses the mark. What we are talking about is a “war on Islamic terrorism.” If one cannot define the enemy, then one does not know thine enemy. If one does not know thine enemy, then one cannot defeat the enemy.

I realize there are Muslims who could be described as “moderate” or “peaceful.” But, quite frankly, their silence is deafening regarding the astonishing brutality exhibited by terrorist organizations like al-Qaeda, al-Nusra, Boko Harem, al-Shabab, Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS), Lions of Tahwid, and plethora of like-minded Islamic terrorist groups waging “jihad against the infidel” across the globe today.

It’s not that terrorist groups like al-Qaeda et al. have hijacked the religion of Islam–quite the opposite. Islamic terrorists see themselves as true fundamentalists who are faithfully carrying out the commands Allah and his prophet–specifically, to wage war against the unbelievers–the infidels. There is no greater accomplishment, according to the Koran, than to die the death of a martyr in jihad against the infidel. When Osama Bin Laden said that Americans love life while Muslims love death, it is in reference to the Koran’s promise of paradise for the martyr.

Senator Ted Cruz: a Man for the People and a Country in Extreme Jeopardy

The fear and hatred of Ted Cruz now exploding from the Left for this singularly brilliant and courageous man in the US Congress is matched and exceeded only by the patent disdain and loathing from the fearful, dull and testicularly-challenged Republican “leadership.” The good senator is now being vilified both in Congress and by those who hold “commentator” positions in the always-left-wherever-one-looks inaptly-named “mainstream” media. Note: Hmmm. As I recall, the same thing happened to Ronald Reagan.

During his 21 hour and 18 minute dissertation to the American people and his own colleagues, Cruz ably defended his position against (despite the illegal and unconstitutional shenanigans of the now-disgraced SCOTUS Chief Justice John Roberts’ rewrite of the ObamaCare bill so that he could support it) ObamaCare’s removal of natural rights by quoting from the United States Constitution, the writings of the original intent of liberties (both economic and social) and empowerment for the people of this land by our ancestral founding fathers and mothers and even read from an outstanding essay “The Americans Who Risked Everything” written by the father of Rush Limbaugh.

Cruz brought this information to the forefront. This is information on our US history that US Government schools no longer teach and, in fact, actively suppress from being taught to school children. Said teaching of actual factual and truthful events was replaced decades ago by a Marxist/anti-American/anti-liberty indoctrination system that now even includes the insidious anti-educative programs referred to as “Common Core.”

Ted Cruz was joined by a few of his colleagues who assisted him by asking pertinent questions on the Senate floor. These few included Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL). Cruz was, later, joined by Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) and, briefly, by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA).

As of this morning, Sen. Cruz is still being belittled, denigrated and disparaged by the now fully-out-of-the-closet ObamaGov US Communist press, Democrats and RINOs in Congress. Democrats and Communists hate this man. That’s understood. Neither of those groups support either the truth or those who tell it. RINOs, however, despise Senator Cruz because, by telling said truth, he brings their own short-comings–if not abject corruption–into the light of day…so all can see.

Those of the Sen. John McCain ilk came out of that faux conservative and anti-US Republic long ago. However, for those who followed and supported the ever-bombastic, pro-Islam and, apparently, pro-ObamaCare Rep. Peter King (R-NY) it has come as a bit of a shock. But, then, King has hinted he may run for POTUS in 2016. An honorable and extraordinary man like Sen. Ted Cruz must scare him almost to distraction. But, then Sen. Cruz is scaring a lot of the political “elite” ruling class these days…by speaking the truth and making certain the American people understand it.

Sen. Cruz tells the truth that both political parties in this country have failed the people. In order to gain more and more power, members of both parties have all but eliminated We-the-People from our own government. And, by leaving the running of government solely to others, We-the-People have abrogated our own checks and balances responsibilities and allowed it to happen.

Via our lack of attention, we have allowed our elected officials to reach the point where they are now ruling over us…not governing. US laws are being broken daily, now, by all 3 branches of the federal government and the US Constitution was thrown out by them years ago. They now rule only to gain more power and wealth; both of which they have now openly and unceremoniously stolen from us. We will never get it back unless we fight for it. Each day that we fail to act and, also, kick the can down the road our rulers gain more illegal authority over us. This is how dictatorships, oligarchies and police-slave states are created. We are now well into the implementation phase of all. If we are no longer willing to stand up and support men and women with the tenacity, integrity, honor, intelligence and passion for our Constitution as does Senator Ted Cruz, then perhaps we don’t deserve to survive as a country after all.

The Infringement of Freedom of Speech is on the Horizon

At least Feinstein can spell ‘tyranny’ right. Now onto quashing the First and Second Amendments — because that’s what Marxists do. If she gets her way, bloggers and researchers can and will be hunted down and prosecuted by the thugs in our government agencies. Faster Kill Pussycat — you’ll be able to time the freedom of blogs such as this one and those that write them on a fascist egg timer. The claws are out.

Not content with disarming Americans and foisting the Obamacare monstrosity down our throats, Feinstein wants to then choke us into silence. Geez – does she have nothing better to do than play at being evil? She’s now actively opposing a media shield law that is supposedly being suggested to protect all those who write and report, along with their sources. But Feinstein won’t have any of that. Nope – she wants the First Amendment to be a privilege as opposed to a right. One guess baby who gets to dole out privileges.

Describing bloggers as 17 year-old losers, who live in their pajamas and blog from their parents’ basements, Feinstein wants to lay down the law on who is deserving of the right to free speech. Just for the record, I’m not 17 — not even close. I don’t blog in my pj’s and I don’t even have a basement. My parents now reside in heaven, so I suppose you could say this is the basement considering who our leaders are. Just sayin’. But I digress.

The final hurdle for the Judiciary Committee was defining who is a journalist in the digital era.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) insisted on limiting the legal protection to “real reporters” and not, she said, a 17-year-old with his own website.

“I can’t support it if everyone who has a blog has a special privilege … or if Edward Snowden were to sit down and write this stuff, he would have a privilege. I’m not going to go there,” she said.

Feinstein introduced an amendment that defines a “covered journalist” as someone who gathers and reports news for “an entity or service that disseminates news and information.”

The definition includes freelancers, part-timers and student journalists, and it permits a judge to go further and extend the protections to any “legitimate news-gathering activities.”

In the definition introduced in Feinstein’s amendment, somebody writing for a small town paper with a circulation of 30 would receive First Amendment protections, but quality news people such as Steve Quayle, John Stadtmiller, Jeff Rense, Doug Hagmann, Stan Deyo, Michael Edwards, Alex Jones, George Noory and Matt Drudge would not be considered journalists and therefore, the First Amendment would not apply to this group of aforementioned newsmen.

With the passage of this amendment, our sources would not be privileged and many of our sources would dry up. But Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper can take bribes from the CIA to not cover certain stories, yet Feinstein thinks they deserve protection as authentic journalists.

And just in case some of you think this does not effect you… think again. Every time you post on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube, you will be running the risk of violating the law and those jack booted thugs could come a-knockin’ at your door. Any time you comment on a blog or web site, Big Brother will be evaluating you and what you say. No longer will you have the First Amendment right of free speech – it will be censored speech if you are not licensed by the state and/or federal government, or approved by a court of law.

Think the government won’t do it? It has failed before, but Marxists are persistent and determined little critters. Witness Obamacare. They tried for over 20 years before getting it through. And it will go through now. You can also thank Progressives on both sides of the aisle — McCain tried to get this through before:

John McCain previously introduced a bill that would fine bloggers up to $300,000 for “offensive statements, photos and videos posted by visitors on comment boards”.

If the bill would have been successful, this legislation would have marked the end for previously unrestrained opinions. Hiding behind the pretense of protecting our children, McCain’s legislation was referred to as the “Stop the Online Exploitation of Our Children Act.” The legislation demands that a Stalinist-type army of informants and spies will browse various websites looking for inappropriate internet material which might pose a threat to children. McCain’s internet army would then pass the information on to the relevant police authorities and subsequent bloggers could be fined $300,000 or have faced jail time.

Anyone who has participated in online comment boards is keenly aware that they are very difficult to moderate. Some articles and news events may receive thousands of comments. Yet, one oversight by the moderator, one day off from the internet, could spell doom for the financial future of a blogger. What citizen can afford to take that chance? Hence, your right to self-expression has been sacrificed. Your first amendment right to self-expression is technically still intact. However, the personal affordability to exercise free speech would have been severely jeopardized

I don’t know about you, but I don’t have an extra $300,000 lying around and an attorney on speed dial. Feinstein’s bill is McCain redux with fines as yet undetermined. The infringement of freedom of speech is on the horizon if we don’t stop this nightmare from playing out. Can bloggers’ prison be far behind?

Oklahoma – Sons and Daughters of Liberty – Trevor Loudon

On Monday, Sept. 30th, Sons and Daughters of Liberty groups from Garfield, Major and Dewey counties will host New Zealand author and lecturer Trevor Loudon.

That meeting will be 6 p.m. at YWCA Enid.

Loudon recently released “The Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists and Progressives in the U.S. Congress,” which includes profiles of 14 senators and more than 50 representatives and their ties to what Loudon says are Communist Party USA, Democratic Socialists of America, Workers World Party, Institute for Policy Studies, Council for a Livable World and other radical anti-American organizations.

Monday’s event is free and open to the public; however, seating is limited.
