The Big Picture

During the Cold War the stated strategic goal of Russian and Chinese Communist leaders, and the primary objective of Communist international strategy, was to neutralize the United States as a military and economic power. This, in fact, was the only way to put down capitalism in favor of universal socialism. Looking at the big picture today, what is most disturbing about Russian and Chinese behavior, is the way present-day behavior fits perfectly with the old objective. Consider Russia and China’s ongoing arms buildup, ongoing anti-American propaganda, and ongoing support for revolutionary Communist regimes in Africa and Latin America.

There is a large and growing body of evidence that — for Russia and China — the old Communist goals remain in effect, and that the Cold War did not end in 1991.

If we consider the strategic problem confronting the Communist Bloc in 1960, we may ask how they could possibly have hoped to overturn the economic and military dominance of an overwhelmingly superior United States. Such would have undoubtedly required a series of successful overt and covert actions, including massive infiltration, disinformation and deception operations. Would anyone be surprised to learn that the last half century is the history of such operations, though the West knows almost nothing about them?

The success of Russian and Chinese deception may be judged by results. First, China’s newfound industrial and financial might, accomplished at the expense of American industry by way of unfair trading practices. Through it all the Chinese Communist Party maintains control, and uses its economic position to damage the United States economy at every turn. Could this be part of a Communist strategy? And why hasn’t anyone in politics raised this as a possible danger?

Ideologically we must admit what has happened; namely, the neutralization of anti-Communists by designating them “McCarthyist. Also there is the curious disinformation lie alleging the defeat of Communism in the Cold War despite subsequent Communist victories in South Africa, Congo, Angola, Venezuela, Brazil, and Nicaragua — not to mention the United States itself, where stealth Communism advances under a variety of misleading banners.

The ongoing expansion of the Socialist Bloc cannot be purely accidental. Somebody has done it, and they have done it in concert with Moscow and/or Beijing. The fact that Lenin’s statue in Kiev Ukraine was only toppled a few days ago, begs the question: Why has there been a statue of Lenin in the heart of Ukraine’s capital city these past 22 years? Surely there must be some misunderstanding with regard to the actual political situation in Eastern Europe.

In fact, it seems quite obvious that the supposed collapse of the Soviet Union was indeed part of a game, a conscious and devious policy which has enabled secret Communist structures here in the United States to take control of the administrative branch of the federal government.

This assertion, seemingly out of step with prevailing opinion, is nonetheless obvious to a careful strategic observer. It is not obvious to the typical media consumer. But even those who are unschooled may yet acquire a degree of certainty about what is happening if they read the writings of high-level Socialist Bloc defectors.

According to high-level Czech Communist defector Maj. Gen. Jan Sejna, writing in 1982, the Soviet long range strategy always envisioned the advent of a “progressive” president in the USA whose term would coincide with an economic crisis. I also heard this plan described by American Communist activists during meetings in the early 1980s. The idea was to take over the Democratic Party through its Left Wing and elect a stealth Communist president. Given the research discoveries of Trevor Loudon, which clearly identify Obama as the creature of a Marxist milieu, there is little reason to doubt that the Communists have successfully set up a president who can further their strategy.

Russian and Chinese analysts expect the present economic crisis to worsen, and there is little doubt the Russians and Chinese are working toward the US dollar’s demise. At the same time the Left has increased domestic social spending in the United States to such an extent that military spending is now being choked off. This play is so obvious, and so in keeping with stated long-term Soviet strategy, that what we’re seeing cannot be an accident. It is something the far Left is consciously working toward.

To understand their policy it is important to remember the revolutionary ideology of the Communists. They are agents of radical change who threaten to upset the lives and well-being of countless millions of people. They fully realize that their project is likely to inspire a violent backlash. And that is why the nuclear disarmament of the United States is such an important part of Obama’s program. If he doesn’t dare order the elimination of the remaining United States arsenal he can nonetheless degrade the arsenal’s reliability through administrative strangulation. If he succeeds, he will enjoy long-range fire support from Russian or Chinese missiles.

I believe a close investigation of our strategic nuclear posture will show the alarming extent to which the Communists have already achieved their goals.

There is one further thought that everyone should keep in mind. Even the United States, with all its moral idealism in foreign policy, could not resist using nuclear weapons against enemy cities during the Second World War. Japan could not retaliate, which is what forced them to surrender. Given the fact that Russia and China are run by gangster dictatorships, nothing on earth will prevent them from bombing the United States or any other country once the American nuclear arsenal is shown to be entirely defunct. The various puppy-sized nuclear powers in the world have too few weapons, with inadequate delivery systems for penetrating Russian ABM defenses. Their deterrent value is dubious, and they will be forced to disarm if the United States collapses.

The Russian and Chinese leaders, distinct from the people they rule over, hate and fear the United States. It is the one and only country on earth capable of checking their aggression. If not for the United States, Europe would be under total Russian domination along with the Middle East. The same can be said with regard to Asia and Australia/New Zealand, which would quickly fall under Chinese Communist domination if America collapsed. Such are the strategic realities of our time.

It is therefore easy to see what kind of game is being played — strategically — both inside the United States and around the world. The fact that 110,000 Cuban agents, troops and police have infiltrated Venezuela and are used against indigenous protesters, or that Nicaragua is constructing advanced military bases for Russian use, or that President Obama shook hands with Raul Castro at the funeral of Nelson Mandela, provide data points which are but the tip of a larger strategic iceberg.

Readers may deny the truth at their own peril. And the peril is great indeed. We haven’t many years left before the enemy’s hold proves fatal. The blindness of the West is due, in part, to the success of a massive deception strategy. While this brief essay attempts to make a few general points about the true state of affairs, it seems unlikely that the deluded many have the time or inclination to question the mountain of nonsense that has been spoon-fed to them in recent decades. We can only hope that the unfolding calamity of the present will trigger that glimmer of curiosity and patriotism which has so far been absent.

David Horowitz Interview: We Are at War

‘We are at war’, David Horowitz told me in a phone interview today, at war with the leftists – Marxist radicals – who, under Barack Obama, are destroying the economy, the healthcare system, the education system, and our standing in the world.

Horowitz is writing an encyclopedic series of books on communism to inform conservatives about the dangerous enemies now seated at the precipice of unfettered power in this country. His books will give us the tools to fight them. His first book is now available and it is a book people need to read. I read it yesterday and it clarified who and what Barack Obama is for me. I will no longer say he is incompetent. He is probably the most competent president we have had. He is succeeding in destroying traditional America.

David Horowitz has published the first book in a series of ten which are aimed at educating conservatives about progressivism and the forces of evil that have been poisoning our culture, our schools, and our government for the last forty years.

The Black Book of the American Left, Volume I, My Life and Times is a compilation of selected essays that take the reader through Mr. Horowitz’ conversion from communist activist to one of the bravest fighters for conservative ideals we have today. Mr. Horowitz’ conversion came when he discovered his ‘friends’ in the Black Panther Party had murdered a friend he sent to help them with their bookkeeping. The torture and murder of Betty Van Patter was so traumatic that it took him ten years to come out of it. He came out as a conservative fighting a lonely and courageous battle.

One of those who is believed responsible for Betty Van Patter’s murder, according to Mr. Horowitz, is a vicious ex-Panther named Elaine Brown. She now lives in Atlanta and has become a public speaker. She is still the same person and the fact that she is free is a paradox of American justice.

Horowitz quotes Elaine Brown: Faith was all there was, if I did not believe in the ultimate rightness of our goals and our party then what we did, what Huey was doing, what he was, what I was, was horrible.

Quite a remarkable statement. The end justifies the means is implicit in what she clearly thinks is a type of religion that allows monstrous acts for the cause as they see it.

Horowitz’ departure from the communist party also led to his alienation, at age 35, from lifelong friends and a complete shunning by some in the media who were once his most ardent supporters, before his change of heart. He came to the conclusion that the ideology of the left must always end in totalitarianism.

He decried the hypocrisy of leftists who would claim they are fighting for peace in Vietnam but ignored the massacres that followed.

In an interview I conducted with Mr. Horowitz today, he said that conservatives need to understand what progressivism is about and the Republican Party needs to speak out.

I asked him what the difference was between communism and progressivism and he said ‘they are the same thing.’

One of the things that has clouded peoples’ understanding of what is going on is the fact that we are being led to believe that the worst we are facing is European socialism. I asked Mr. Horowitz about that and he said, ‘it’s much worse than that, it’s communism.’

Mr. Horowitz is an intellectual who grew up as a ‘red-diaper’ baby steeped in communism. His conversion is nothing less than remarkable. His knowledge of what communism is and how it has become a dominant force in our society is something every conservative needs to know but will conservatives read the books? The future of the Republic depends on conservatives knowing what they are dealing with. We can’t fight what we don’t understand.

Mr. Horowitz said ‘we are at war.’ People must understand that and they must be ready to fight.

Reading the series of books will be enlightening if the first volume is an example of what is to follow. The first volume explains how social justice has become the means by which they sell their leftist ideology. Mr. Horowitz said ‘its phony, it’s not real.’

The leftists, which Mr. Horowitz calls the left, the ‘neo-communists’ (neo-coms). They hate America and what America stands for. They want to tear it down and install their utopia. Mr. Horowitz’ book clearly explains why.

When I asked Mr. Horowitz about Obamacare, he said Obama is ‘destroying the finest healthcare system in the world.’ ‘Obamacare is communism,’ he added.

‘Obama is a communist,’ he affirmed.

Horowitz sees education as the place where leftism gained its foothold into society, beginning with the Catholic colleges and universities. He spoke out against the unions during our interview and said that K-12 schools should be on a voucher system with parents getting the money, not the schools.

He briefly addressed common core which he has not studied. He is against any centralized education – it’s more statism.

Horowitz told me that ‘conservatives are classical liberals’ because they want two sides of the story told. Leftists only want one side of the story and they are ‘not liberal.’ There is nothing liberal about them. People, especially need to stop calling them liberals and playing into the deception.

The Sentinel has previously complained that calling the forces taking root in America by their rightful names – communism or socialism – is not-PC, even in conservative circles, so let’s simply describe what they are doing, which is what communists do.

The “Convention of States” Scam, the War over the Constitution, and how the States Sold the Reserved Powers to the Feds.

Our Constitution is a glorious document. This one page chart depicts the Structure of the federal government we created when we ratified our Constitution; and lists the “limited & enumerated powers” we delegated to the federal government over the Country at Large.

In a nutshell, our Constitution authorizes the federal government to handle the following objects for the Country at Large:

• Military defense, international commerce & relations;
• Control immigration & naturalization of new citizens;
• Domestically, to create a uniform commercial system: weights & measures, patents & copyrights, money based on gold & silver, bankruptcy laws, mail delivery & some road building; and
• With some of the amendments, secure certain civil rights.

Basically, that’s it. As stated in the 10th Amendment, all others powers are reserved by the States or The People.

But for 100 years, almost everyone in our Country has ignored our Constitution. Thus, instead of restricting spending to the enumerated objects of its powers, the people we send to Congress spend money on what anybody wants – and so gave us a debt of $17 trillion. Instead of restricting lawmaking to the enumerated objects of its powers, the people we send to Congress make laws on whatever they like. The President we elected tramples all over the Constitution; and due to the connivance, cowardice, and ignorance of Congress, the supreme Court, State governments, and the American People, is seizing totalitarian power.

WE are in terrible trouble.

And it is the phony right wing which is seducing the American People into taking the final jump off the cliff.

Michael Farris, head of the Convention of States[1] project, begins his video with this spiel:

“We all know that our government is way off track. The debt is astronomical and is going to cripple not only our own freedom and our own economy, but our children and our grandchildren are going to be effectively slaves, paying for all the things that we’re spending money on today.”

That part of his video is true.

But the purpose of their spiels is to make you believe they are on your side. You must look behind the spiels and think carefully about what they are proposing as “solutions”. Much is at stake:

THIS IS THE WAR over our Constitution and Country. And here are the two sides:

Learn & Enforce our Existing Constitution!

One side proposes that we learn & enforce our existing Constitution of limited & enumerated powers. We show that our Framers advised us to enforce our Constitution by (1) electing better representatives to annul the acts of the usurpers,[2] or by (2) nullification of unconstitutional acts.

To illustrate: What would our Country’s financial condition be if WE THE PEOPLE had enforced the enumerated powers on Congress?

It is the enumerated powers which list the objects on which Congress may appropriate funds:

• immigration office (Art. I, §8, cl.4)
• mint (Art. I, §8, cl. 5)
• Attorney General (Art. I, §8, cl. 6)
• post offices & post roads (Art. I, §8, cl. 7)
• patent & copyright office (Art. I, §8, cl. 8)
• federal courts (Art. I, §8, cl. 9)
• military (Art. I, §8, cls. 11-16)
• the civil list (Art. I, §6, cl.1)
• [and other objects listed in various other articles, sections, &clauses]

Do you get the idea? The Constitution itemizes what Congress is permitted to spend money on. See also the two geographical areas over which Congress was delegated “general legislative powers”: Art. I, §8, next to last clause, & Art. IV, §3, cl. 2).

The reason we have a debt of $17 trillion is because everyone ignored the Constitution; so Congress spent money on objects outside the scope of its enumerated powers.

Amend Away our Existing Constitution?

But the Randy Barnett[3]/ Rob Natelson/ Michael Farris/ Mark Levin camp want a “convention” so they can gut our existing Constitution by amending out the limited & enumerated powers with new amendments which grant general powers to the federal government; or they seek to re-write the Constitution altogether.

Here are illustrations of how the limited & enumerated powers can be amended out of our Constitution:

It has already been shown how the so-called balanced budget amendment would transform our Constitution from one of enumerated spending powers to one of general spending powers, where spending would be limited only by the amount of revenue the federal government generates or a certain percentage of the GDP.[4] But under our existing Constitution, the federal government’s expenditures are limited by the constitutional grants of authority – the enumerated powers. The problem is everyone ignores the enumerated powers – they never learned what they are!

Here is another illustration: Michael Farris, the grand master of The Spiel, has managed to convince many parents that the only way to protect their parental rights is an amendment to the Constitution which delegates to the federal and State governments constitutional power over their children!

And Mark Levin’s suggested amendments would gut our Constitution. Most increase the powers of the federal government by making constitutional what is now unconstitutional because it is not an enumerated power. The amendments pertaining to “overrides” undermine the Constitution as the objective standard of what is lawful and what is not – and substitute majority vote therefor. These “overrides” would erase the Constitution and replace it with majority (mob) rule.

Or is “re-writing the Constitution” their actual goal?

Farris says in the video:

“…sometimes what you need is not a change of personnel, you need a change of structure. The Founders understood the importance of structure…“

Does that give you cold chills?

How does Farris seek to change the structure?

Please – all of you – look at this one page chart which depicts The Structure of the federal government our Framers gave us: What needs changing? Isn’t enforcement what we need?

Jordan Sillars, Communications Director for Farris’ Convention of States Project, let the cat out of the bag:

On September 15, 2013, a discussion on my Face Book page was started about Mark Levin’s clamoring for a “convention of states”.

On or before September 19, Jordon Sillars posted a comment wherein he said:

“… 3. I think the majority of Americans are too lazy to elect honest politicians. But I think some men and women could be found who are morally and intellectually capable of re-writing the Constitution…” [boldface mine].

On September 19 at 1:20 p.m., I responded:

“So, this really is about “re-writing the Constitution”, isn’t it?

And could you name these individuals who are “morally and intellectually capable of re-writing the Constitution”?”

Sillars thereafter deleted his comments, but not before I obtained a screen shot of his quoted comment which you can see here.

Why did he delete his comments?

Now let’s look more at what Farris says in his video:

The False Statements & Silly Arguments of the Proponents of a “convention of States”

1. After his introduction about the $17 trillion debt, Farris goes on to say:

“The States have the power under Article V to call a convention of the States for the purpose of proposing amendments to the Constitution…”

His statement is false.

The Truth is the States have no authority to call the convention. That power is delegated to Congress. Article V says:

“The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments…” [emphasis mine]

Congress calls it. Not the States.

Furthermore, Dr. Edwin Vieira has pointed out:

‘The language “shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments” sets out a constitution duty in Congress. It embraces a constitutional power as well. That brings into play Article I, Section 8, Clause 18, which delegates to Congress the power “[t]o make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers [that is, in Article I, Section 8, Clauses 1 through 17], and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof”. The power to “call a Convention for proposing Amendments” is one of those “all other Powers”. Therefore, pursuant to that power, Congress may enact whatever “Law[ ] which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the * * * Power [to call a Convention]’.

So! Since Article V vests in Congress the power to call the convention; and since Article I, §8, last clause, vests in Congress the power to make all laws necessary & proper to execute its delegated powers;[5] Congress would be within its constitutional authority to organize the Convention anyway it wants, and to appoint whomsoever it wishes as delegates.[6]

Now look at this: The chart on Article V shows that James Madison, Father of our Constitution, remarked on the vagueness of the term, “call a Convention for the purpose”:

“How was a Convention to be formed? – by what rule decide? – what the force of its acts?” (Sep. 10); and “difficulties might arise as to the form, the quorum, &c., which in constitutional regulations ought to be as much as possible avoided” (Sep. 15, 1787).

Phyllis Schlafly also raised Twenty Questions about a Constitutional Convention.

Congress, pursuant to Article V and Article I, §8, last clause, has the constitutional power to answer all these questions by means of a law.

Folks! The Farris/Natelson/ Levin camp is not telling you the truth when they say the States decide these issues!

2. Farris then says in his video:

“…in Article V of the Constitution [the Founding Fathers] gave us the solution…”

“…they gave the power to the States to create a new set of rules when the federal government overstepped its boundaries. We can recalibrate the rules to take power away from Washington D.C. and give it back to the people and to the States.”

His statements are both false and silly.

Here is the false part of what he said:

It was not the consensus at the Federal Convention of 1787 that the purpose of Article V was so States could make amendments to the Constitution in order to take power away from a federal government which had usurped power by violating the Constitution.

This chart shows what happened at the Federal Convention of 1787 re development of Article V.

Two delegates (Randolph & Mason, who didn’t sign the Constitution) supported the notion that amendments might be used if the national government should become oppressive. And they didn’t want Congress to have any power over amendment procedures. Their view was the minority view.

Other delegates (Gov. Morris, Hamilton & Madison) thought Congress ought to be able to propose amendments. One delegate (Mr. Gerry) worried about States obtaining a convention and binding the Union to innovations which subverted State Constitutions. Hamilton spoke of amendments to correct defects which would probably appear in the Constitution.

So the final version of Article V provides two methods of proposing amendments to the Constitution. Congress either:

• Proposes the amendments; or
• “Calls” a convention when the Legislatures of 2/3 of the States apply for it. [Now see Art. I, §8, last clause.]

Now for the silly parts of what Farris said (and there are two silly parts):

3. Farris tells us the solution to a federal government which “overstep[s] its boundaries” [violates the Constitution] is to amend the Constitution.

He proposes “to take power away from Washington D.C.” [power the federal government has usurped] by “recalibrate[ing] the rules”.

In other words, the solution to a federal government which violates the Constitution is to amend the Constitution.

Do you see how silly this is?

4. Farris and his camp also imply that the States are victims of federal tyranny, and are the virtuous & wise ones who can fix our Country if they can just get a convention to propose amendments.

But the States are the ones who sold you out to the federal government in the first place! I’ll show you:

The 10th Amendment says:

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people”.

What happened to these reserved powers?

The States sold them to the federal government.

Let’s use education as an illustration of how the States sold to the federal government your reserved power to educate your own children in the way you see fit.

The Creator God who, as recognized by our Declaration of Independence, endowed us with unalienable rights; assigned to parents the responsibility to provide for the education & moral instruction of their children: Proverbs 1:8-9, 6:20-21, 13:1, 22:6 & 23:19-22; Genesis 18:19; Deuteronomy 4:9-10 & 6:1-7; Ephesians 6:1-4; 2 Timothy 1:5 & 3:15-17.

Is “education” one of the enumerated powers delegated to the federal government for the Country at large? No. So the federal government has no constitutional authority to get involved. Accordingly, all acts of Congress pertaining to education for the Country at Large, the federal Department of Education, and all their rules & programs are unconstitutional as outside the scope of powers delegated to the federal government.

So why does the federal government dictate all things respecting education?

Because your States sold your God-given responsibility to educate your own children – and your reserved power to do so – to the federal government. This has been going on for a long time; but most recently your State sold you out for federal grants with the federal government’s “race to the top” and “common core” schemes.[7]

You have to be ignorant, unthinking, & gullible – a greenhorn – to believe that The States are the men in the white hats who can fix all this with a convention to propose amendments.

Conclusion

The federal government is not the problem – it is the result of our own ignorance, pride and folly.

WE THE PEOPLE, who are “the natural guardians of the Constitution” (Federalist No. 16, next to last para) didn’t trouble ourselves to learn the enumerated powers of Congress and the President. Do you know them?

I ask my Readers who have been supporting the “convention of States” scheme: Have you studied our Founding Principles set forth in The Declaration of Independence? Have you studied the text of the Constitution so that you know what it says?

If not, how are you qualified to know how to “fix” a Constitution you never learned?

Are you willing to stake your lives & liberties, and those of your progeny, on whether those in the Barnett/Natelson/Farris/ Levin camp (1) know what they are talking about, and (2) are telling the truth?

Why? Because you like them? Because they provide a scapegoat which permits you to blame-shift? And you think you can “get even”?

Wise voices in this Country are warning you about the scam. Foremost among them is Phyllis Schlafly, who has been warning of this danger for decades. Yet, such is the ignorant conceit of the greenhorns that they sneer at those who are warning them.

I trust you now see the connection between the moral corruption of a People and tyranny.

1 Use your own head! Do not be manipulated by other peoples’ choice of words. Rob Natelson formerly referred to what he wants as a “constitutional convention”. Now, he calls it a “Convention of the States” – that is the term his cohorts & minions now use. Why did they change what they called it?

2 But our elections are no longer honest. The States took federal grant money to buy voting machines which can be rigged.

3 Randy Barnett’s “Bill of Federalism” is ten proposed amendments which would transform our Constitution from one of enumerated powers to one of general & unlimited powers. Mark Levin’s proposed amendments are similar to Barnett’s.

4 The GDP is computed by an agency in the Executive Branch. So under the BBA, spending would be limited by numbers under the control of the federal government: By how much they tax you; or by a number (GDP) the Executive Branch computes. You think that is a fine idea?

5 The Federalist Papers tell us what the “necessary & proper” clause (Art. I, §8, last clause) means: The clause delegates to Congress power to pass all laws necessary & proper to execute its declared powers (Federalist No. 29, 4th para); a power to do something must be a power to pass all laws necessary & proper for the execution of that power (Federalist No. 33, 4th para); “the constitutional operation of the intended government would be precisely the same if [this clause] were entirely obliterated as if [it] were repeated in every article” (Federalist No. 33, 2nd para); and thus the clause is “perfectly harmless”, a tautology or redundancy. (Federalist No. 33, 4th para). See also Federalist No. 44, 10th -17th paras. In other words, the clause permits the execution of powers already declared and granted.

Do not be misled by Rob Natelson’s post on the “necessary & proper” clause! Why did Natelson ignore what The Federalist Papers say about this clause? Why did he fabricate the song & dance set forth in his post?

6 Think this through also: Even if Congress, as a matter of grace, permitted the States to appoint delegates, how would delegates from your State be chosen? Who controls your State? Would the powers in your State choose you? Or do you believe Michael Farris would choose the leaders?

Pleasantly surprised and a bit shocked, I enjoyed religious Christmas Carols played in the elevator of a major hotel. Progressive bullies are relentless in their quest to repeal the celebration of Jesus’ birthday, Christmas, declared a federal holiday in 1870 by President Ulysses S. Grant.

The progressive’s assault on Christmas leads me to MSNBC-TV host, Martin Bashir’s degrading and disgusting punishment suggested for Sarah Palin (someone defecate in her mouth). While watching the MSNBC deplorable segment, produced with graphics, in which Bashir exposed his extreme pure hatred of Sarah Palin, a tear appeared in my eye. I thought, “Dear Lord, why must this courageous decent woman suffer such humiliating disrespect?”

And yet, this is what one must endure for daring to tout Christianity and Conservatism in America today. Despite not much push back and even receiving sympathy from fellow progressives in the media, weeks after his disgraceful rant against Palin, Bashir was forced to resign. http://bit.ly/18auRkG

Folks, when Bashir suggested that someone defecate in Palin’s mouth, it is not a stretch to believe that he would wish a similarly evil fate for all conservatives and the Tea Party.

At every turn the moral and upright traditions, principles and values that we grew up with are under attack, bullied into the shadows. Could you ever imagine a day in America in which saying, “Merry Christmas” would be deemed controversial or offensive?

While a majority of Americans embrace Conservatism, progressives dominate public education, Hollywood, the mainstream media and the bully pulpit of the White House. For decades they have been indoctrinating our kids, chipping away at the values of their parents. Opposition to the progressive agenda is dealt with severely with an iron fist. Intimidated, Americans know their place. Only a few rare souls have the courage to speak-out, challenging the progressive agenda.

In this holiday season along with clinging close to our beloved families and friends, it is crucially important that we send warm Christmas hugs to our hand full of courageous faithful conservative warriors who are standing strong, fighting the good fight to preserve traditional principles and values which we hold dear.

My favorite Christmas special from my childhood is “Mister Magoo’s Christmas Carol”. I found it on Youtube and enjoyed it.

South Africa “Joined at the Hip” to Cuba

If President Obama’s handshake with Cuban dictator Raul Castro is news, Castro’s featured presence at the Nelson Mandela memorial service and what the South African government said about him are equally newsworthy. South Africa was described as “joined at the hip” to Cuba and in its debt for “liberation.”

Yet, this part of the memorial service has been carefully edited out of most of the “mainstream media” coverage of the event.

The service was organized and orchestrated by officers of the African National Congress (ANC), the ruling party of South Africa which operates as a front for the South African Communist Party. Baleka Mbete, ANC chairperson, introduced Raul Castro’s speech by saying, “Comrades, we will now get an address from a tiny island—an island of people who liberated us, who fought for our liberation in Cuito Cuanavale—the people of Cuba.”

Cuito Cuanavale refers to the foreign intervention of thousands of Cuban military troops on behalf of communist Angolan government forces in Africa under the guidance of Soviet military officers during 1987 and 1988. This was a critical time when communist forces backed by the Soviet Union, Cuba and China were determined to crush the non-communist pro-freedom movement UNITA (The National Union for the Total Independence of Angola).

As part of his effort to turn the tide against communism in Africa and elsewhere, the “Reagan Doctrine,” President Ronald Reagan strongly supported UNITA and its leader, Jonas Savimbi.

In the end, the communists solidified control of Angola, assassinated Savimbi (shot 15 times, twice to the head and once to the throat), and then took over Namibia and South Africa as the white population—fearing extinction in the face of the onslaught—made deals with the communists.

Mandela, in commemorating the 20th anniversary of the battle in 2008, referred to it as “a turning point for the liberation of our continent and my people.” This helps explain why the Cuban regime is held in such high regard by the South African government. The ANC and SWAPO (the South West Africa People’s Organization) communists in Namibia greatly benefitted from the Cuban imperialistic intervention. Of course, Mandela’s communist movement also enjoyed the support of Libya and the PLO.

After Raul Castro’s speech, during which he highlighted Mandela’s visit to Cuba to meet with and thank Fidel Castro, ANC deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa said, “Thank you President Castro. We thank you for all the support and help that we continue to get from the people of Cuba during our years of struggle, and our countries continue to be joined at the hip in the areas of development…”

AIM noted in our column about current South African President Jacob Zuma that he traveled to Cuba in 2010 to receive the top Communist award from Raul Castro himself. Zuma also told a meeting of young communists in South Africa, “Work begins today in earnest to improve the quality of life of all our people and to build Cuban-style patriotism and internationalism within our ranks.”

Of the 6 “foreign dignitaries” listed on the official Mandela memorial service program as giving a tribute to Mandela, five are known Marxists: Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff (a former terrorist herself); Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao; Namibian President Hifikepunye Pohamba; Cuba’s Raul Castro; and of course President Obama. The other speaker was President Pranab Mukherjee of India, described as a “close friend” of Marxists in India who has “remained a friend” of the Communist Party of India during his political career and leadership in the United Progressive Alliance. Indeed, he has been labeled a “communist agent.” The Indian delegation to the memorial service included Sitaram Yechury of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M).

Earlier in the memorial service, Andrew Mlangeni, identified as a Mandela “family friend,” spoke on Mandela’s behalf. Now considered an “elder statesman” in the ANC, he had studied “military science” and “guerrilla theory” in China. The Stephen Ellis book, External Mission, confirms that Umkhonto we Sizwe, which became the military arm of the ANC, was launched by the South African Communist Party after negotiations with Chinese Communist mass murderer and dictator Mao Tse-tung. The cover of the book, which also reveals that the East German secret police trained the ANC’s security personnel, shows a photograph of Mao Tse-tung meeting with SACP leader Yusuf Dadoo, a Muslim Indian South African communist.

Mandela ran Umkhonto we Sizwe, which carried out violence and terrorism, and he went to prison as a result. He was never a “political prisoner.” He refused to renounce violence in order to be released early. He could have been hanged for his conviction for terrorism.

Although Mandela is being widely praised for his spirit of “forgiveness” and “reconciliation,” the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP), led by Mangosuthu Buthelezi, was never fully accepted as a legitimate partner and actor in South African politics by Mandela’s ANC. The IFP advocated the abolition of apartheid, or racial segregation, but refused to engage in violence and terrorism against innocent people. It also had an anti-communist orientation.

“The armed struggle, and Inkatha’s refusal to engage it, had driven a wedge between our organizations,” Buthelezi says. “Propaganda against me and Inkatha was rife and there were many attempts on my life.”

But the U.S. government under Obama is in complete support of the South African government and provides an estimated $500 million a year in foreign aid to the regime.

The United States ambassador to South Africa, former Democratic Party operative and radical organizer Patrick Gaspard, recently announced that American taxpayers would provide an additional $100,000 in U.S. government funding for the purpose of the “preservation of documents” relating to Mandela. The money was given to the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory, the official home of the Nelson Mandela Foundation. This is the same group offering a poster featuring a quotation of Mandela under an image of communist murderer and Castro henchman Che Guevara.

In supporting South Africa, the U.S. is supporting Cuba. Obama’s handshake with Castro only confirms this fact.

Is Rep. Steve Stockman a Worthy Candidate to Run Against Sen. Cornyn?

By now, must if not all of us have heard the news that Republican House of Representatives Steve Stockman from Texas has decided to run against incumbent Republican John Cornyn for his Senate seat in 2014.

Mr. Stockman, a Tea Party favorite, cited the reason for his decision to run against Mr. Cornyn as being because Cornyn tried to “undermine” Ted Cruz in his bid to stop Obamacare.

Will there be any “skeletons” in Stockman’s closet that will have the progressive Democrats scrambling to air them on the “state run media?” I uncovered several possible areas of interest to the Democrats while researching Mr. Stockman’s experience and background. The Republicans, however, may not view this information in the same way and instead, may deem him a champion of their causes.

Stephen Ernest Stockman was born in Bloomfield, Michigan on November 14, 1956. He graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 1990. Soon after, he found himself unemployed and homeless. He lived on the streets and was once arrested on a drug charge. Later he became a born-again Christian and changed his life for the better.

He first ran for the House of Representatives in 1990 but was defeated. He ran again in 1992 but was once again defeated. In 1994, he ran again and was successful in defeating a 42 year incumbent. Stockman represented the 9^th District of Texas from 1995-1997. He lost another Congressional election in Texas in 2006. He assumed office in January 2013 for the 36^th District of Texas, after a successful run. Perhaps his tenacity will serve him well in his 2014 bid against the newly elected incumbent, Mr. Cornyn.

The left has not viewed his time in Congress favorably. Wikipedia cites a Houston Chronicle article that indicates that Stockman’s first two years in Congress were “marked by weirdness” when he claimed that the Clinton Administration had raided the Branch Davidian compound to justify a ban on assault weapons. Perhaps a claim that today some would argue as a possibility based on the current Administration’s dealings involving the IRS, NSA, and anti-NRA stance.

Another incident of “weirdness” occurred on the day of the Oklahoma bombing. It involved a fax that Stockman and several other Congress members received from a Texas Republican Chairwoman with ties to the Michigan militia. Finally, Stockman purportedly antagonized then House Speaker Newt Gingrich during his first two years, by opposing the U.S. bailout of the Mexican peso.

More recently, Stockman has openly called for an investigation into Benghazi. Stockman, you may recall, issued a petition to force a vote in the House to investigate the killings of four Americans in Benghazi.

He was also the Congressman who invited the Rodeo Clown to Texas after the clown was banned for life in Missouri for “inciting violence against the President.” Rep. Stockman reportedly said that “liberals want to bronco bust dissent” and his remarks weren’t well received by some on the left.

Stockman is also outspoken against Common Core in schools. He further spearheaded impeachment possibilities in November of this year against President Obama by handing out a book to his House colleagues calling for his impeachment.

He also took to twitter to criticize Obamacare and was accused of making a “transphobic” joke while speaking about Obamacare on The Steve Deace Show.

Finally, Stockman accused Obama of “acting like an emperor” on issues of Health Care and the Defense of Marriage Act during that same interview.

Most of his votes as a Congressman have been rendered as expected. For example, he co-sponsored and voted for a bill that would allow Americans to keep their health plans, voted for a bill to give supplemental nutrition to women, children and infants, and filed a bill to repeal the deadly gun ban on military bases.

It should be noted that Stockman was also given a 100% by American Conservative Union (ACU), the oldest membership-based Conservative organization in the United States that rates politicians on how they vote on issues. The ACU’s most well-known event is the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

Whether Rep. Stockman will prove to be a worthy opponent to Sep. Cornyn in 2014 will ultimately be decided by you, the voter. Prepare yourself for the liberal propaganda machine and then get out and vote.

Part of an Argument with a Duped Welfare State Christian

Here is my characterization of just a little bit of a recurring argument (wait, recurring bad dream, no, argument, darn) that I’ve had with a fellow Christian, who enjoys tuning into MSNBC like one of the Borg hive, stepping into his regeneration chamber.

XX: My politics are from the Bible. We’re supposed to take care of the poor.

AW: Care for the poor is one reason government is supposed to protect our freedom and avoid redistributive destruction of our wealth, so that poor people can pull out of poverty in a functional market economy and so the rest of us can “freely give” to those in need, instead of government extorting our property, preventing us from adequately doing so.

XX: You want to take from the poor and give to the rich.

AW: The Bible condemns excessive and extortive taxation, where certain elites intervene between God and the individual, rob people of their livelihoods and property, then redistribute it while taking a cut (Amos 2:6-8, Matthew 23:25) as Judas Iscariot did (John 12:1-7) though Jesus warned we would always have the poor (hence poverty can’t be prevented by government).

XX: You’re reading into the Bible.

AW: I’m telling you what it says! You say your political philosophy is from the Bible, show me where? Where does it say we’re supposed to escalate the tax rates of those with more than a little bit of property, to set up a bureaucracy, to redistribute enough to the poor to make them continually government dependent, while funneling the rest to members of the “public-private partnership” patronage system (which inevitably corrupts and controls people, as well as extorting them, which is what Jesus condemned in Matthew 23)?

Communists Happy About the Obama/Castro Handshake

The Communist Party USA is very happy about the Barack Obama/Raul Castro handshake at he funeral of a third communist leader Nelson Mandela.

The communists see this as a symbolic event on the way to a long term revolutionary goal – the “normalization” of US-Cuba relations.

A handshake that shook the world

In the spirit of Nelson Mandela, President Obama stopped and shook the hand of Cuban President Raul Castro at the memorial to Mandela in South Africa.

Instantly and predictably, the U.S. far-right Republicans and their mouthpieces went crazy. Now, nobody in their right mind could argue with following the example Mandela set of talking, negotiating and finally reconciling with one’s enemies, especially when history has moved to a new stage. But nobody said the tea party types are in their right mind.

More important, the idea that Cuba is the “enemy” of the United States is a relic of the last century’s Cold War and needs to be finally thrown on the ash heap of history. Not just the idea, but also the numerous anti-Cuba policies, starting with the U.S. embargo and travel ban. History has indeed moved to a new stage and it is time for our policy to reflect that. It is heartening to see the Obama administration ease the most extreme Bush-era sanctions against our neighbor. Much more needs to be done.

U.S. anti-Cuba policies have hurt our own economy and isolated our country from the rest of the world, in particular the countries of North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. The United States stands out like a sore thumb, the only country in the hemisphere that does not have normal relations with the socialist island 90 miles from Florida’s shores.

It was a handshake that shook the world, fittingly done at Mandela’s memorial. Yes, Mr. President, let us all honor Mandela’s legacy – a man whom you rightfully described as understanding “the ties that bind the human spirit” – and finally establish neighborly ties to Cuba.

Normalization of US-Cuba relations would be another nail in America’s coffin. Akin to the Trojans opening their gates to their “tribute” from the “departing” Greek armies.

Symbolism is very important to communists. We should not ignore this handshake.
