Bear Hugs for Sarah Palin. She was able to see more of Russia than all the liberals combined.

By: Nelson Abdullah
Conscience of a Conservative

The liberals hated Sarah Palin for more reasons than her good looks. She spoke the truth. Maybe the sexist defenders of woman-hood just couldn’t deal with the fact that Sarah Palin had some real intelligence and a better understanding of foreign affairs than they did. Almost every word she spoke was mocked on Saturday Night Live – even her famous statement that “I can see Russia from Alaska”. Well, it seems that she really could “see” Russia and the political motives of the Russian President Vladimir Putin. Now. Sarah Palin has gotten the last laugh on all of them. Maybe the public will pay more attention now to the attractive conservative spokeswoman for the Tea Party.

Palin on Ukraine: I told you so

(CNN) – Sarah Palin may be having a bragging rights moment.

In 2008, when she was the GOP vice presidential nominee, Palin questioned in a speech whether then-Sen. Barack Obama would have the foreign policy credentials to handle a scenario in which Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine.

“After the Russian army invaded the nation of Georgia, Senator Obama’s reaction was one of indecision and moral equivalence – the kind of response that would only encourage Russia’s Putin to invade Ukraine next,” she said in Reno, Nevada on October 21, 2008.

As Tony Lee wrote in a column on Breitbart:

Palin Mocked in 2008 for Warning Putin May Invade Ukraine if Obama Elected
For those comments, she was mocked by the high-brow Foreign Policy magazine and its editor Blake Hounshell, who now is one of the editors of Politico magazine.

In light of recent events in Ukraine and concerns that Russia is getting its troops ready to cross the border into the neighboring nation, nobody seems to be laughing at or dismissing those comments now.

Hounshell wrote then that Palin’s comments were “strange” and “this is an extremely far-fetched scenario.”

Yeah, and our own limp-wristed leader, Barack Hussein Obama, has already offered his wimpish retorts to Vladimir on the invasion. That, too, will disappear into the shadows of history while Sarah Palin’s look-alike impersonator Tina Fey will probably get a lot more attention.

South American Marxist Mayhem: Venezuela 2014

Venezuela-2014-02-protestsSince February the 12th, the Day of the Youth, a holiday in Venezuela, the country has been in chaos. Hundreds of thousands of students were followed in the next days by millions of peaceful protesters who demand an end to the dictatorial reign of Marxist terror, betrayal of the country to Cuba and total escalation of violence and corruption in Venezuela, in the largest demonstrations in the history of the country.

Unfortunately, these demonstrators were received by random rifle and even machine gun shots. Thugs from the government, with Cuban agents among them, just arrive in motorcycles and start shooting at the crowds. In Youtube, we can see soldiers shooting at random cars, apartment buildings and even the people who are filming with their phones, in situations that remind us of Syria and Libya. Meanwhile, Russian made Sukhoi jet fighters fly low over the crowds, in order to terrify people.

The mains thugs are the hundreds-of-thousands-strong popular militias of the government, much like Soviet squads with Russian rifles in their hands (Chavez bought billions of dollars in guns from Russia) free to instill terror in the adversaries of the regime. The government talks about 6 or 7 dead, but the reality must be much, much worse. The students under arrest are being tortured with electricity and forced to perform oral sex with the guards. Heart breaking pictures and movies are shared everyday in the internet.

Many sources say there are 60,000 Cubas in the country, in every area of the government, working as “consultants”. Most are simply political agents with training in terrorism. Now there are reports and pictures of Cuban soldiers arriving en masse to Venezuela, including the elite troops “Avispas Negras,” specialized in assassination and political sabotage.

Maduro tried to shut down Twitter and even the link shortner bit.ly. in order to prevent dissemination of news. He also shut down a TV channel and expelled CNN reporters from the country. Now he is shutting down internet and electricity selectively in several cities that are harboring protests. People are still in the streets.

Why people don’t like Maduro

Maduro used to be a bus driver with little expression before being sent to Cuba. There he was trained in political sabotage and strategies for unions mobilization. This thug gained the confidence of Chavez and eventually was appointed to be his successor, in a close (2000 votes of difference) election that was marked by more than 1000 cases of documented frauds and complete monopoly of communication by the government. Now it has been revealed that Maduro may not even be Venezuelan, but was born in Colombia, in Ocaña, a city near the border.

Venezuela has the second largest oil reserves in the world and used to be the main exporter of oil to the US. Chavez and his minion have destroyed this fabulously rich country. Official inflation is 56%, but real one is probably much higher. 28% of basic staples are missing from the market shelves, including chicken, sugar and even toilet paper, which had to be imported in a hurry and became a source of jokes. Maduro even ordered the invasion of the factory. Since there are no dollars to import parts and raw materials, factories such as Toyota and GM have closed doors. Recently, we have seen people in line, like in Soviet times, being stamped with a queue number in the arm in order to buy food.

Violence in Venezuela is one of the highest in the world, and more severe than in regions at war. Some sources talk about 30,000 murdered each year, or a whopping 100 dead by 100K inhabitants. In the US, allegedly a violent country, this number is 4.7. People despair, because more than 90% of these murders are never solved. Maduro`s answer is to blame the soap operas for the escalation. This kind of psychotic behavior is common to him, a man who says he talked to the soul of Chavez in a little bird and saw his face on a wall in a subway construction site.

Last November, Maduro became a de-facto dictator by assuming power to rule by decrees. He has complete control over the press, since he keeps a tight rein on paper and only approves the purchase of printing paper for political allies. The only opposition TV network, Globovision, was forced into bankruptcy and sold.

To add a surreal touch to the situation, Chavez two daughters are still living like princesses in the Presidential Palace, throwing parties and lounging at the pool.

Granma-Cuba-Maduro

Cuban communist newspaper, Granma, headline translated:
Without Venezuelan oil the revolution will fail. Maduro is our man in Caracas…

Cuba behind it all

Lula, the former president of Brazil, is right now in Cuba, discussing the Venezuelan problem with his boss Castro. His party is very afraid that Brazil might follow the example with demonstrations during the World Cup in June. He and Fidel are the main responsible for the plan that brought almost all South America to Marxism, through the alliance of communist political parties and terrorist organization called Forum de São Paulo, created in 1990 to fill the void left by the fall of the USSR. The plan has been a total success: with the exception of Colombia, Paraguay, Panama and the Guiana, all Latin America is now, in varied levels, on the hands of the Marxists.

Fidel has said in the official newspaper of the Cuban Communist Party, Granma , that without Venezuelan oil the Revolution (in the continent) would fail, and that Maduro was his man in Caracas. One country is helping the other, and Brazil, the richer brother, is spending the most. Dilma from Brazil has just given a new harbor to Cuba (Porto Mariel), to the cost of US$ 1 BI and built a refinery to Chavez which he never paid. Meanwhile, Brazilian infrastructure is falling apart. On the other hand, Chavez has given money to the election of Kirchner in Argentina. And so it goes. Sovereignty is gone.

Venezuela is the trial ground for the takeover. The Workers party in Brazil has started exactly the same strategy used in Caracas, by importing thousands of makeshift Cuban doctors (with the education of nurses) mixed with political agents from Havana`s secret service, breaking all the laws in Brazil. These doctors receive only 10% of the wages paid directly to Castro and many have already defected, even though their families stayed in Cuba as hostages . Also, most of the countries in the region have military agreements with China and Russia. A former aid to a Congressman in Brazil has spoken about the use of Mariel Port to bring military equipment and foreign personal from China and Russia.

Latino-neo-Marxist-leaders-Chavez

At the Forum of Sao Paulo, L to R: Evo Morales (Brazil), Hugo Chavez (Venezuela), Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (Brazil), Raul Castro (Cuba), Michelle Bachelet (Chile), missing are Cristina Kitchner (Argentina) and Jose Mujica (Uruguay)

Conclusion

Last January, these marxist countries got together for the Celac meeting (Summit Conference of the Latin America States), which exclude the USA and Canada. It is amazing that the US has just forgotten about a continent just south of the border, which is ganging up together with US haters Russia and China to implement a Marxist revolution, while America is spending trillions in the other side of the world in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The explanation is that Latin America is being prepared to be one of the ten regions in the coming New World Order. Cuba, a bloody dictatorship which has murdered more than 100K people, has been protected for 60 years so far. The Bay of Pigs invasion was a hoax. Castro was as safe as if he were in Rothschild`s guestroom.

Unfortunately, in contrast with the moderate integration of the European Union or NAFTA, the integration of Latin America is being done under the red flag of Marxism, so the continent will remain poor and underdeveloped forever. People in the region will not accept this lightly, and much blood will flow. Citizens in Venezuela and the neighbor countries just want a future to their kids, away from the boots of Cuban soldiers. It is not much to ask for.

In 2008, Sarah Palin Warned an Obama Presidency would Embolden Putin to Invade Ukraine

Palin was right once again and Russia still has her sites on Alaska. Can you imagine how it would have been with Palin as President vs. Obama? Instead of the dream, we got a nightmare.

Conservatives Must Support Freedom for Ukraine

By: Cliff Kincaid
Accuracy in Media

Moscow is invading Ukraine, a sovereign nation, with troops and helicopters, and the Obama administration is doing nothing except talk. The outcome will send a message to freedom fighters and dissidents in such countries as Venezuela—and even Cuba—that the U.S. will not be with them when they put their lives on the line.

Isn’t it interesting that a Russian warship has just docked in Cuba? Reports suggest this is a show of support for the Castro brothers, and may also be intended as a listening post to conduct surveillance on U.S. communications.

This is another turning point in history, when anti-communist revolutions were gathering momentum and a U.S. administration looked the other way. But could we have expected anything more from a President schooled in foreign policy by Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the pro-Soviet Communist Party?

Fortunately, there are some on Capitol Hill, such as Texas Senator Ted Cruz (R), who are speaking out forcefully in support of Ukraine’s bid for freedom from Russian domination. But Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has actually taken Russia’s side in the conflict, arguing that the U.S. shouldn’t “tweak” Russian President Vladimir Putin by supporting Ukraine.

The tragedy is compounded by the spectacle of “conservatives” in the media, such as radio host Michael Savage, turning their backs on the freedom fighters. Savage defends the “duly elected” pro-Moscow president, overthrown by his people because of his power grabs, corruption, and repression. He then fled to Russia.

Does Savage defend Obama and spare him from criticism on the grounds that he was “duly elected?” In Ukraine, the government opened fire on peaceful protesters. But Savage calls the freedom fighters “thugs.”

Savage used to be solid on national defense issues, but on Thursday he praised the “Prison Planet” website of pro-Russian commentator Alex Jones for offering the best coverage of events in Ukraine. Then, Savage (not his real name) interviewed Paul Craig Roberts, a former Reagan economic official whose column was on the Jones website, and who has decided that Washington is the greatest threat to world peace, and Putin is a statesman.

In fact, some of his recent columns have carried these titles:

  • Amerikan Stasi Police State Staring Us In The Face
  • Global Capitalism Has Written Off The Human Race
  • Russia Under Attack

In the last column, “Russia Under Attack,” Roberts argued that “In a number of my articles I have explained that the Soviet Union served as a constraint on U.S. power. The Soviet collapse unleashed the neoconservative drive for U.S. world hegemony. Russia under Putin, China, and Iran are the only constraints on the neoconservative agenda.”

Needless to say, this is a major break not only with the Reagan Administration, which confronted the Soviet empire, but with common-sense Americans who recognize the threats posed by each of these nations.

Savage noted that Roberts, in a column describing some Ukrainian demonstrators as neo-Nazis, said the following about himself (in response to a charge that he was a Putin agent):

“Of course, having done Russian studies in graduate school, having been a member of the U.S.-USSR student exchange program in 1961, having traveled in Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan, having published in scholarly journals of Slavic and Russian studies, having twice addressed the Soviet Academy of Sciences, having been invited to explain to the CIA why the Soviet economic collapse occurred despite the CIA’s predictions to the contrary, I wouldn’t know anything about how people suffered under communism. The willingness of readers to display to me their utter ignorance and stupidity is astonishing. There is a large number of people who think reality consists of their delusions.”

Savage asked him, “Wouldn’t they accuse you of being a front man for world-wide communism?”

Roberts replied, “There’s not even any world-wide communism. Where is it?”

So despite his insistence that he understands communism, he seems to ignore the fact that it still openly exists in such places as Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea and China. Does he know the Communist Party of Russia is the second largest political party in Russia (next to Putin’s United Russia Party), and that the Communist Party of Ukraine backed the deposed president?

Incredibly, on the question of whether communism survived, Savage replied, “I don’t know whether there is [communism] or is not…”

To continue with this bizarre line of thought and the subject of “delusions,” consider another column on Roberts’ site, with the long title, “Pakistan TV Exposes bin Laden Killing Hoax and Documentary Exposes 9/11 Official Story.” It claims the “official” story—that 9/11 was a foreign plot carried out by Islamic terrorists—is “fictional.”

The column insists that Osama bin Laden was not killed by U.S. forces in Pakistan, a claim that even leftist journalist Seymour Hersh rejects.

Regarding Ukraine, “This is a coup, plotted by the United States,” Roberts told Savage. And Savage, who is apparently conducting his own interviews these days, ate it all up. (Savage used to have his producers conduct interviews with guests and then Savage’s voice would be spliced into the exchanges for broadcast.)

Savage, now selling skin cream products over the air to alleviate the problem of itching, should be scratching his own head before getting someone from “Prison Planet” back on the air and embarrassing himself even more. But Savage called Roberts “brilliant.”

For calling attention to Jones’ service to America’s enemies and adversaries, I am now being called a CIA agent and a neoconservative by Kurt Nimmo, the same writer I identified as basing his anti-freedom rants on the work of an international socialist. Such paranoid and lunatic claims about CIA conspiracies, which are fairly typical on Russia Today (RT), may stem from Jones’ enthusiasm for the marijuana movement. One of his favorite films is “Guns and Weed,” the same combination of lethal ingredients Bernardine Dohrn was pushing when she tried to enlist young people in the communist revolution of the Soviet- and Cuban-backed Weather Underground.

By the way, the term “neoconservative” is used these days to refer to anyone who favors the U.S. standing for freedom in the world. It is supposed to refer to liberals who came over to the conservative side. I was never a liberal.

Jones would be worth ignoring were it not for the fact that he comes across as a libertarian, seems to have a national audience, and features interviews with political figures such as Rand Paul. Senators like Paul give him credibility he does not deserve. Not surprisingly, Jones has also been a favorite of Russia Today, especially when he defended the Russian invasion of Georgia in 2008.

One of the big lies we are hearing about Ukraine, which has suffered at the hands of the Russians for decades, is that it is in Russia’s “back yard” and therefore Russia has a vested interest in intervening there.

If one takes a simple look at the map of the world, one can see Russia is already the largest country in the world and its “back yard” is a term that can only serve to justify its interference all over the region and into many countries in Europe. Indeed, the term justifies Putin’s vision of a new empire modeled after the Soviet one.

Isn’t the U.S. sovereign state of Alaska in Russia’s “back yard?”

It may sound crazy, but the Voice of Russia actually ran a story, “Will Russia ever have Alaska back?,” reporting, “In the 20th century large oil and gas fields worth hundreds of millions of dollars were discovered in Alaska. Since then, the region has turned into an actively developing U.S. state with the highest per-capita GDP in the nation. Probably, this is why Alaska remains a thorny issue for many Russians, with some people even suggesting taking the territory back. But one can hardly imagine Russia launching a war against the U.S. over Alaska.”

Under Obama, who knows? If he is prepared to let Russia invade and occupy Ukraine, as is currently happening, why should we be content to think he would defend American sovereignty?

In the case of Savage, this isn’t the first time he has gone over to the other side on a critical national security issue. He took the side of Edward Snowden after the former NSA contractor stole U.S. classified documents and leaked them to China and Russia.

I privately warned Savage at the time that he was making a big mistake and that Snowden’s real motive was evident in his decision to leak material to pro-communist journalist Glenn Greenwald, who spoke to the Islamist Council on American-Islamic Relations and excites such hard-left organizations as the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS).

I sent an email message to him, asking: “Why are you in bed with CAIR, IPS, and the ACLU against the NSA? Greenwald is a Marxist media mouthpiece and handler for Snowden. YOU should have understood this from the get-go. The patriots in the NSA need our support. Snowden is an enemy agent.” I told him, “It’s not too late to realize you’ve been had.”

But Savage is still in the pro-Snowden camp. Now he’s in bed with Putin.

This is worth paying attention to because his radio show is said to be heard by 10 million listeners a week and syndicated across the U.S. in more than 300 markets.

At a time when the U.S. should be supporting human rights in Ukraine, Venezuela, Cuba, and even Russia, a popular “conservative” radio-show host is sleeping with the enemy and letting Obama off the hook for his deliberate failure to have a strategy to confront Russian imperialism.

Savage, a recluse who devotes a web page to his dog, is doing far more damage to the conservative movement than CPAC’s invitation, later withdrawn, to an American atheist group.

It’s time for responsible conservatives to stay clear of Savage and Jones and expose their descent into lunacy.
