It’s Their Party and They’ll Die if They Want To

They wanted an Albanian-run Kosovo, and they got it:

Parliamentary candidate shot dead in Kosovo (AP, June 15)

Kosovo police say a parliamentary candidate from Prime Minister Hashim Thaci’s ruling party was shot dead early Sunday as he walked out of a restaurant…Elvis Pista — a flamboyant politician recognizable for his spiked hair — was shot four times at close range shortly after midnight in the western town of Orahovac, his hometown. Authorities believe a handgun with a silencer was used.

Police did not discuss possible motives behind the attack but the slaying comes amid heightened tensions between political rivals after Kosovo’s June 8 parliamentary election. The final results were not in from Pista’s race but preliminary results showed him leading.

Thaci’s center-right party won the most votes last week but lacks a coalition partner to form a government. Rival parties have vowed not to govern with Thaci, citing widespread corruption and mismanagement.

In Orahovac, hundreds gathered Sunday to pay their respects.

Thaci, who called Pista “an associate and a friend,” condemned the killing and urged police to swiftly find who was responsible. Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga also condemned the shooting, saying it threatened the rule of law in Kosovo.

Past elections in Kosovo were often marred by irregularities and violence between rival groups but no incidents were reported in the June 8 poll, the second such vote since Kosovo seceded from Serbia in 2008.

Belgrade still rejects Kosovo’s independence.

How unreasonable.

Meanwhile, another associate of Thaci’s:

High-profile war crimes suspects escape Kosovo hospital (Reuters, May 20)

Police in Kosovo launched a manhunt on Tuesday for three high-profile war crimes suspects who appeared to have fled a hospital where they were each being treated under guard while standing trial.

They include Sami Lushtaku, a close ally of Kosovo’s prime minister and former guerrilla commander, Hashim Thaci.

“The Kosovo Correctional Services have informed the presiding judge that they cannot locate three out of seven defendants in the so-called Drenica case,” said a spokesman for the European Union’s police and justice mission….He said all three had been due in court on Thursday.

Their escape will stir fresh suspicion about corruption in police ranks, in a country where former guerrillas enjoy hero status and often close ties to the political elite.

Some background on Lushtaku:

EU in Kosovo Indicts 15 for War Crimes (AP, Nov.8, 2013)

A European Union prosecutor on Friday indicted 15 former ethnic Albanian rebels suspected of torturing, mistreating and killing civilians detained in central Kosovo during the 1998-99 war against Serbia.

Many of those indicted are members of the governing Democratic Party of Kosovo of Prime Minister Hashim Thaci. He had led the rebel Kosovo Liberation Army, which fought a separatist war against Serbia… [Really? Not a war for human rights, but a separatist war? Are we admitting that these days?]

The indicted include Sami Lushtaku, now a mayor of the town of Srbica, and Sylejman Selimi, Kosovo’s ambassador to Albania, as well as one of Thaci’s bodyguards.

Lushtaku is suspected of executing a fellow ethnic Albanian by shooting him in the head….A protected witness told the prosecution that Lushtaku allegedly executed an ethnic Albanian because “the man had killed his cousin.”

“Sami Lushtaku put the pistol to the prisoner’s head behind his left ear and he shot him,” protected Witness D is quoted as having told the prosecution. “He fell to his knees and Sami shot him twice more in the head.”

Selimi, a former top military rebel commander, faces four charges of war crimes, including beating detainees with fists and wooden sticks, and being part of a group of rebels that pinched a detainee’s “genitals with an iron tool and subsequently dragged him on the floor with it,” according to the indictment.

Salustro also alleged that two other suspects, Sahit Jashari and Sabit Geci, allegedly used a chain saw to behead a Serbian policeman, Ivan Bulatovic, in June 1998…Bulatovic was kept in detention and frequently walked to a village square by Jashari for people to beat him in public, according to a witness described in the indictment as Witness C.

Sometime in June 1998, Geci “took the chain saw and beheaded Bulatovic with it. Then Geci made some deep cuts into Bulatovic’s chest, thigh and legs,” according to the witness testimony quoted in the indictment.

…EULEX works alongside Kosovo justice authorities, but the two have often clashed because the mission has targeted high-profile individuals and former rebels, some of whom are considered heroes by majority ethnic Albanians.

Albanian heroes.

War crime accused takes the oath in Kosovo (Xinhua News Agency, Jan. 4, 2014)

Newly elected mayor of the Municipality of Skenderaj/Srbica, Sami Lushtaku, was briefly taken from the Mitrovica detention center on Friday to his hometown to take the oath for third term in office.

Even in detention, Lushtaku was elected the mayor of the municipality on Nov. 3 elections with an overwhelmed support of 88 percent of the voters….Lushtaku returned to the detention center immediately after taking the oath…

The Cruelest Cleansings (Der Spiegel, Sept. 21, 2002, By Renate Flottau)

…Twenty-four Albanians were shot, among them 13 children, and their houses were burned down…

“Everyone in Kosovo knows but none dares to speak about it,” says the former prime minister of the exiled Kosovars and current chairman of the New Party for Kosovo, Bujar Bukoshi. “After the war the cruelest cleansings took place among the Albanians. Under the pretext that they were ‘Serbian collaborators’, the leaders of the KLA liquidated their political opponents; old blood feuds were settled, and Albanian civilians were executed by the Albanians themselves.”

The number of the victims is estimated to be more than a thousand. The perpetrators or instigators were usually former senior KLA leaders; after the war they were integrated nearly without exception into the KLA successor organization, the civilian Kosovo Protection Corps.

Also awaiting trial…are once legendary KLA commanders Sami Lushtak[u] and Rustem Mustafa (”Remi”). The latter is accused, along with three other KLA officers, of having raped Albanian women and killed at least five civilians in private prison camps during and after the war.

…Belgrade presented the chief prosecutor in The Hague with a disk with 27,000 pages on the alleged war crimes committed by the top KLA triumvirate [Thaci, Ceku, Haradinaj]… “We know a lot,” says UNMIK spokesman Lindmeier, “but our problem is witnesses. They have a gun pointed at their head. Many withdraw their original statements after threats by their former KLA fellow fighters”.

The heroic elite which ended up in jail is guarded by about twenty prison wardens from Germany flown in by plane to do the job. Albanian guards received death threats if they attempted to prevent escape attempts.

For many Albanians the imprisoned KLA leaders are still war heroes. Every Friday demonstrators lay flowers in front of the prison in Pristina. They accuse UNMIK of developing “Milosevic tendencies”. The chairman of the journalist federation, Milan Zeka, has even called on his colleagues to fight against the “police dictatorship” of UNMIK chief Michael Steiner. The German, they say, is insulting a whole generation of Albanians. […]

Kosovo’s Mafia: How the US and allies ignore allegations of organized crime at the highest levels of a new democracy (GlobalPost, March 27, 2011)

“There was interference by the U.S. mission [to Kosovo] preventing effective investigation and prosecution of senior Kosovo officials,” said a U.N. official….The official said that the senior Kosovo politicians were being investigated for being allegedly involved in organized crime, and that U.S. officials prevented searches of the suspects’ homes and in one case were involved with U.N. officials in preventing a sentence from being carried out. The U.N. official said that these phone calls were “well known” and deeply frustrated many of the international prosecutors who were working for the United Nations and wanted to prosecute these Kosovo officials.

On June 14, 2008, the most senior U.N. official in Kosovo, Joachim Ruecker, issued an executive decision suspending the prison term of a former KLA commander named Sami Lushtaku, who had been sentenced to a total of 11 months in prison…In his order, which GlobalPost has obtained, Ruecker notes that Lushtaku’s sentence would make him legally ineligible to be mayor and “such an outcome would be politically highly sensitive at this stage and contrary to the public interest.” It is unknown if American officials influenced Ruecker’s legal decision, but a former senior NATO official in Kosovo said that CIA officials in Kosovo had tried to prevent NATO soldiers from arresting Lushtaku prior to prosecution.

Obama’s End of the USA via Fomenting Foreign Invasion

By: Sher Zieve
Gulag Bound

It has been a few years since I’ve talked and, subsequently, interviewed former USBP Supervisor David J. Stoddard (Ret). In my opinion–and that of many others–there really is no better information source than Dave for what is currently transpiring at and on our Southern Border.

David J. Stoddard

David J. Stoddard

David J. Stoddard BIO

US Border Patrol Supervisor David J Stoddard (Ret) was with the US Border Patrol for 27 years. David served in Calexico, California, Vermont, Yuma, Tucson Sector Headquarters and Naco, Arizona and worked in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico and other locations.

Dave, also, provided testimony about immigration reform to Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner’s (R-WI) House Subcommittee on Immigration and Claims in 1999 and a Congressional subcommittee on Criminal Justice, Drug Policy and Human Resources in 2002.

The Interview

Sher: Dave, it’s been a long time since we last spoke about the problems on our Southern border; problems that have recently reached crisis if not catastrophe mode for all US citizens. Thanks so much for your time, today. It appears that thousands of illegal immigrants including the drug cartels, human traffickers, Latin gangs Islamists and even their ISIS members are crossing our border at will, now, due to Obama’s illegal open border policy. Have you had Intel reports as to what’s really going on at what used to be our Southern border that you can share with the readers or been there, recently, yourself?

Dave: I live on the Mexican border and I get reports from other border residents in addition to what I observe myself. My contacts are rural residents, ranchers, Border Patrol Agents, sheriff’s and visitors. I can tell you, without equivocation, that border enforcement has been curtailed to such a degree that it is practically non-existent. But the non-enforcement phenomenon is also all over the USA.

Foreign national criminals have been released on the street after serving their sentences for major crimes. The recent admission from the Obama administration is that 38,000 illegal aliens were released in America instead of being deported. (If Obama broke to releasing 38,000, the real figure must be three times that number.) The lame excuse offered by Obama’s minion is that the law requires the release of those criminals. It may very well be that some of those criminals were Cubans or other nationalities that won’t accept their ex-patriot criminals but apparently no effort is made to repatriate those scum. John Kerry should be with-holding foreign aid, and taking other diplomatic measures to pressure those countries into accepting their citizens. The criminals from the Western hemisphere should have been entered into deportation proceedings and held as flight risks. But, Obama has stated that deporting aliens makes no sense.

Arab attire left behind on the Mexican border

Arab attire left behind on the Mexican border

The problem is not just with the Mexican border. The USA is importing Muslim extremists that establish enclaves in various locations, such as in Minnesota, Maine and Michigan where Muslims are granted refugee status and given taxpayer money, placed on the public dole, granted government housing and free medical care. In Minnesota the state is paying taxi fares for Muslims to keep medical appointments. These “immigrants” are not assimilating into American society. They are turning their enclaves into miniature versions of the hell-holes they “fled.” Take for example, Dearborn, Michigan where they observe Shari’a law and scorn every other law. In this day in age, we are importing a 5th column which needs to be monitored closely and not celebrated as examples of “diversity.” They hate all things Western except for the America dollar which flows to them so freely. We are witnessing a world-wide effort to establish a caliphate. How long until our imported Muslims make a move to force us into such a Caliphate? Someone reading this will scoff and think to themselves, “They are moderate Muslims and don’t present a danger.” The fact is, there is no such thing as a “moderate” Muslim.

Any self-professing Muslim who does not follow Allah’s command to kill the Jew and behead the infidel is an apostate Muslim and they are scorned by fundamentalist Muslims. But… do you see American Muslims rising up against the fundamentalists? I don’t. Silence is acquiescence.

I hope I adequately answered your question.

Sher: You did, indeed. And, although I am personally convinced all of this was planned and implemented by the Obama-Jarrett team in order to change the voting dynamics to Democrat, overwhelm the legal population and demographics in the United States and allow entry of hundreds and thousands of additional Muslim Brotherhood members, recently the White House actually took credit for “some” of the problem. As early as 2005, the Washington Times reported that the order for our USBP Agents to not arrest illegals coming across the border was given and continued the “stand down” orders through 2011 until the present day. Doesn’t that smack of intentional destruction of the country?

Cecilia Munoz

Cecilia Munoz

Dave: I agree that there are efforts to “fundamentally change America,” but I think those efforts started when Obama took office in 2008. He promised to change America. The day Obama took office, he brought Cecilia Munoz into the White House as policy maker. (Cecilia Munoz was President of the National Council of La Raza, a subversive, racist organization. Check their web site.) She has been making immigration policy ever since, although she has some other politically correct title.

The Border Patrol has been chained by politically correct politicians for decades. Border Patrol Officers are forbidden to go into cities where illegal aliens reside. They are forbidden to check employees and forbidden to enforce the law anywhere except in a very narrow ribbon of land that extends along our border from Brownsville, Texas to San Diego, California. And, even within this very narrow ribbon, enforcement must be politically correct and nobody can be offended. It seems that every seceding President issues more restrictions on immigration enforcement. There once was a time when Border Patrol Agents checked employees in factories, farms, ranches, hotels, restaurants and other industries that like to hire cheap labor. During that time, illegal aliens entered alone or with closely related males and didn’t bring their families because they knew they would only work for a short time before they would be discovered and deported.

Now that interior enforcement is dismantled, illegal aliens are bringing their extended families with the intention of remaining for as long as possible which turns into years and decades. Almost all of them want to retain their foreign nationality and identity. Their loyalty stays with their home country. There are a few exceptions to this rule, but it is a very small percentage of the illegal alien population. Progressives and democrats see this phenomenon as good and proper as there are far too many European centrists in this country and everybody knows they are racists even though they may not themselves realize they are racists. Progressives are always smarter that the average American and they know better than the rest of us. Yes, we are seeing the systematic dismantling of America as our founders and our fathers envisioned it.

Sher: The Obama syndicate refuses to protect the Southern border and the American people from this foreign invasion… and, like it or not, that’s precisely what is occurring. But, Obama’s not only allowing it, he’s actually encouraging foreign invaders to enter our land and–therefore–providing aid and comfort to the enemies of our country. Doesn’t he commit–by way of its definition–treason? What are your thoughts on this aspect of the issue?

Dave: When Obama put his hand on the bible during his inauguration, he swore to faithfully uphold the laws of the United States. Since that time he has ignored the Constitution, ignored the law and legislated through executive order. He effectively has by-passed the Constitution, congress and the courts and set himself up as dictator. Our cowardly politicians have let him get by with it. If Obama were white, he would have been impeached during his first term. I keep hearing liberal brain-dead operatives refer to “White Privilege,” whatever that is. If Obama has not been the beneficiary of “black privilege”, then Al Sharpton has Viking ancestry. Obama needs to be impeached at the very least.

Sher: As Obama and his entire syndicate seem bent upon the destruction of our country ASAP and refuse to adhere to the US Constitution or other US laws–and both Congress and SCOTUS appear to be supporting him due to fear for their own lives or concurrence ideologically–the only option I see is to physically remove him and his cabal from their respective office. I see no other viable option. What do you believe can be done to end this reign of terror by Obama & Co and begin to rebuild our country?

Dave: The easiest and cleanest solution is to impeach Obama and let that dumb-ass Biden serve out the term. Biden, as clumsy and intellectually challenged as he is, can’t possibly be as dangerous as Obama and his subversive handlers.

Sher: Dave, as always, thanks so much and we hope to talk with you again soon.

The Council Has Spoken!! This Weeks’ Watcher’s Council Results – 06/27/14

The Watcher’s Council

Alea iacta est! The die is cast, the Council has spoken, the votes have been cast and the results are in for this week’s Watcher’s Council match-up.

“When one with honeyed words but evil mind Persuades the mob, great woes befall the state.” – ― Euripides, Orestes

“Just as every cop is a criminal, And all the sinners saints”.. – Mick Jagger, ‘Sympathy For The Devil’

“Not even mass corruption — not even a smidgen of corruption.” – President Barack Hussein Obama, talking about the IRS scandal with FOX News’ Bill O’Reilly, February 3rd, 2014

We had a tie this week in the Council category which I, as Watcher have to break.

There were a few entries in both categories this week on the IRS’ convenient inability to produce former IRS apparatchnik Lois Lerner’s e-mails. The Right Planet’s About That ‘Server Ate My Emails’ Thing, is a detailed and authoritative roundup by someone who knows what he’s talking about on exactly why this is so much horse manure on their part and as someone else said, an excellent indication that congress is looking in exactly the right place to get to the bottom of this disgusting scandal.

It’s a much meatier effort than its competitor, Joshuapundit’s How The Palestinians And The Left Are Celebrating The Israeli Kidnappings, which is pretty much about what it sounds like… the Arabs whom call themselves Palestinians celebrating inhumanity and the West’s despicable apathy towards the kidnapping of three Israeli teens by Hamas, even as rockets continue to be launched by a member of the new unity government everyone’s touting at Israel’s civilians. Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose, same old same old.

In any event, the winner, About That ‘Server Ate My Emails’ Thing, was very easy to pick, to say the least! Here’s a slice:

A brief overview of the IRS targeting scandal by Bill Still:

For those of us who have experienced life in the IT trenches, former IRS chief Lois Lerner’s claim she lost all of her emails due to a hard-drive crash is a bit hard to swallow, to say the least.

First, email is not typically stored on a personal computer’s hard-drive disk (HDD). Email accounts for most organizations are stored and accessed on a mail server—a separate computer accessed from the user’s computer via a specific network protocol like SMTP, POP3, IMAP, MAPI, HTTP, etc. Mail servers can host multiple email accounts, and typically do. That’s their purpose.

Peter Sulderman, writing at Reason.com, sums it up like this:

The loss of a personal computer hard drive shouldn’t be able to permanently eliminate emails from a well-run workplace email system. Those emails are run through central email exchange servers, and backups are typically kept using those central exchanges. Add to that Lerner’s prominence in the investigation—she has repeatedly declined to answer questions before Congress, invoking her Fifth Amendment right not to self-incriminate—and the year it took for the IRS to inform the House Ways and Means Committee that the emails were lost in a crash, and the dog-ate-my-emails bit starts to smell rather fishy.

Is the IRS really claiming both the IRS’ mail server and Lois Lerner’s local hard-drive crashed? If the server’s hard-drive failed, that would mean email for everyone within the organization who had an account on that particular mail server would not be able to access their email accounts. Email still being sent from other email accounts on the same mail server that hosted Lois Lerner’s account, and during the same time period that Lerner claims her hard-drive crashed, would indicate the mail server was still operational, despite any misfortune that befell Lerner’s local hard-drive.

System engineers who administer mail servers at the enterprise level will typically strictly follow (and continuously develop) a robust backup plan for all data on mission-critical servers. For most organizations email communication is absolutely essential, if not critical. So, any critical IRS system failures that resulted in long-term outages could potentially create havoc, thus the need to have a comprehensive and redundant backup plan.

Tax software can be extremely complex (thanks to our god-awful progressive tax laws), and must interface with many complex IRS software systems and services. So, don’t tell me the IRS does not have some competent IT staff that can keep their email domains up and running, and their data backed up, according to their own rules and regulations for the retention of data, as prescribed by law.

Powerline reports:

… U.S. law, specifically 44 U.S.C. Chapter 33, requires that agencies must notify the Archivist of any records that are destroyed and the reasons for destroying them. In addition, federal regulations establish strict recoverability and redundancy requirements. Disposal of records outside these standards requires permission in writing.

The IRS satisfies these requirements through Microsoft Outlook/Exchange systems, which are backed up using Symantec NetBackup. According to the IT specialist, IRS had some of the best people in the federal government charged with making sure these systems work as intended.

Microsoft recommends configuring redundant relational databases (RDMS) with Microsoft Exchange Server. The RDMS (relational database management system) stores and accesses all the email text and metadata housed on the server. Even if the hard-drive(s) fail, the email data is still intact in backup databases. Once a new hard-drive is installed, and the operating system and email server are configured, the data from the replicated databases can be imported into the newly configured mail server.

Many computers nowadays running mail, web, application and database servers run high RAID levels—meaning, the computer (server) has multiple hard-drives that run as backups in case the boot drive fails.

RedState.com reports:

Data retention has been a requirement for years. It is a solved problem. It is simply not credible that IRS, an agency that itself imposes data retention requirements on the general public, would not have a data retention plan, with offsite backups and a generalized disaster recovery framework. Somebody is lying when it comes to Lois Lerner’s “missing emails,” and if this were going on in the private sector, somebody would be at risk of prison.

Much more at the link.

In our non-Council category, the winner was the one and only Mark Steyn with a great piece on the e-mails in his own inimitable style, We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ E-Mails submitted by The Noisy Room. Do read it.

Dylan Wesolowski: The Making of Another Justina Pelletier Case?

By: Susan Knowles
Gulag Bound

Stand for Truth

justina-and-dad[1]Justina Pelletier was returned to her family in Connecticut after more than 16 months away from them due to being removed by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) in Massachusetts (for more of Justina’s story click here).

What I believe was instrumental in helping to return Justina to her family was her father, Lou Pelletier’s refusal to sit down and shut up, when a gag order was put in place to prevent him from speaking out to the public about his daughter’s plight. I believe that it also helped Justina to have such tremendous public support once the word leaked out that she was being held.

Lou Pelletier first spoke out about Justina’s situation on the Glenn Beck show and from there the family was put in contact with excellent legal counsel, Mat Staver, of Liberty Counsel who represented the family from that point on. Additionally, the local Fox News affiliate in Connecticut, followed the story until the very end when Justina was finally reunited with her loving family.

Additionally, numerous hours were spent by supporters who placed telephone calls to the Governor of Massachusetts, DCF, the judge in the case and just about anyone else who would listen. There were also many who protested in front of the courthouse, DCF’s location, at Boston Children’s Hospital, and a facility in Massachusetts where Justina had been placed. Finally, countless Twitter “firestorms” were held to protest what supporters strongly believed was an injustice that needed to be righted.

Still others, like myself, wrote countless articles and spread the word on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube so that the word about what was happening to Justina under the “care” of DCF might be made known. I also started a Facebook page, called “Stop Government Takeover of Our Children” as a result of my work toward bringing Justina home. My page was created to bring awareness, foster discussion, and to offer solutions toward resolving government overreach pertaining to our kids.

Once people heard about the facts of the Pelletier case, they were convinced that Justina had been unjustly taken from her family and they were determined to see her case through until she was returned to her parents’ custody.

wesolowski-dylan-with-MonikaNow there is a new case. It’s not so new really but it has not gained national attention like the Pelletier case.

I’m speaking of the CPS involved case of Dylan Wesolowski. I was recently contacted by Dylan’s mother Monika Wesolowski, after she learned about the articles I had written concerning Justina.

From what I know of Ms. Wesolowski, she is a conservative, a State Department employee with a secret clearance, and her parents emigrated here from Poland.

I’ve just begun to research the facts of this case but I want to present them to you and ask that you do your own research to determine if this family’s dilemma deserves public action, as in Justina’s case.

Here is what I know of the facts. In an April 30, 2014 letter, Wesolowski wrote to Dave Hodges, host of thecommensenseshow.com, for help in getting her son’s story heard.

Wesolowski alleges the following: On December 2013, in Fairfax County, Virginia, police officers dressed in SWAT gear came to her home after there had been a report that she had choked her four year old son, who has Autism, two days prior. Wesolowski accuses Dylan’s father of making this report. According to Ms. Wesolowski, she had gotten sole legal custody of her child approximately 2 months before her encounter with the police and CPS in December 2013.

CPS arrived at the Wesolowski residence about an hour after the police officers’ arrival. The entire meeting lasted from dylan with momapproximately 8:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. During the investigation by the police and CPS, a small red mark was noticed on the back of Dylan’s neck. Dylan was subsequently removed and placed in the temporary custody of Wesolowski’s neighbors.

wesolowski-dylan-with-momFollowing the encounter, Ms. Wesolowski’s neighbors (who had temporary custody) and she, took Dylan to a pediatrician so that the red mark could be diagnosed. The pediatrician’s report, according to Wesolowski, indicates that the red mark was eczema. Wesolowski reportedly has the medical records to prove this fact.

Monika also states in her letter, that once CPS discovered that she had taken her son to the pediatrician, they were very angry, used the report against her claiming that she wanted to cover up the mark with medication, and that she had coerced the doctor into rendering that diagnosis.

Monika further contends that CPS investigated her daycare center alleging that they may have abused her son. She believes these allegations against her daycare center were used as part of a scare tactic.

The case took another turn, when in a separate letter to Dave Hodges, dated May 15, 2014, Wesolowski claims that her parents in Illinois were contacted by the Illinois DCF. She states that they tried to get her parents to sign a document saying that Wesolowski had hurt her son. When her parents refused to sign the document, they were told by someone from DCF in Illinois that Virginia DCF wouldn’t like the fact that they didn’t sign the document. Further, they were allegedly told that since they were on their daughter’s side (evidenced by the fact that they wouldn’t sign the agreement), they had no chance of getting Dylan.

Although, Ms. Wesolowski has never been arrested or charged with any crime, her son was placed in a second foster home with two dads who are gay. Ms. Wesolowski, not only is opposed to the placement of her son in foster care altogether, but believes since she is Roman Catholic, that he should have been placed elsewhere. Supposedly, close friends and family were available and willing to take Dylan into their home.

The case has taken yet another turn. Monika has leveled accusations of possible sexual abuse in this case. She claims in a previous email to Mr. Hodges, that her son is being sexually abused while under the care of Virginia DCF/CPS.

As proof of sexual abuse, Wesolowski claims that she has found “marks” in sensitive areas on Dylan’s body consistent with sexual abuse. In addition, Dylan, now age five, has regressed to defecating in his pants and is back in diapers, according to Wesolowski. She also asserts that Dylan has unexplained fits of temper where he talks about cutting off his hands and the hands of others. She claims that while he is preparing to take a bath, he yells that he “wants to cut his hands off over and over and over prior to the bath.” Dave Hodges, a former mental health professional, is also convinced that these reports are evidence of possible child abuse that are reportable and should be investigated.

Ms. Wesolowski also claims to have photographic evidence of Dylan’s alleged abuse. She contends in an email to Mr. Hodges that Dylan’s dermatitis rash on his back and shoulder were seen for several weeks and were getting progressively work. She described her son as being “skinnier” and that he had lost weight since being placed in foster care. If true, Monika’s allegations of abuse would make any parent cringe. To date, however, Dylan remains in the same foster care environment with the two dads.

As a mental health professional, several things jump out at me as being unusual. First, I have never known CPS to place a child in temporary custody with a neighbor. When there is existing family, barring other factors that wouldn’t be in the child’s best interests, children are placed in foster care with their own relatives. If that is not an option, then there are usually facilities where the child can be taken into the direct care and custody of CPS, at least initially. Why wasn’t that done in this case?

Secondly, any allegations of sexual or physical abuse, if reported must be investigated by CPS. In the Department of Social Services own CPS handbook in Virginia, “What Is Child Protective Services?” CPS has the “responsibility to respond to reports of suspected child abuse or neglect (emphasis added).” Was there a report made of the allegations by anyone? Would CPS have been deemed to have knowledge of suspected child abuse or neglect, if Wesolowski verbally reported her suspicions to them, rather than filing a formal complaint? Did Wesolowski file a formal complaint? If allegations were known by CPS, has an investigation been made, and if so, what was the outcome of the investigation? Undoubtedly, CPS would refrain from responding to that question based upon grounds of confidentiality.

Thirdly, there are a number of foster care homes available in most areas. Should CPS have changed Dylan’s foster care home to avoid potential future allegations being made against CPS or the foster parents as a way of mitigating possible litigation?

Also, if true, why did Illinois DCF become involved in the case when Dylan and his mother live in Virginia? It would be reasonable, if CPS had wanted to place Dylan in a temporary foster home with his grandparents, to have asked Illinois DCF, where the grandparents are located, to check out the their home beforehand to make sure that it was a suitable environment for Dylan. However, according to Ms. Wesolowski, her parents were asked only to sign a document against her.

Dave-Hodges-ShowDave Hodges believes so much in Dylan’s case that he has set up a gofundme.com account so that Ms. Wesolowski will be able to retain an attorney and try to regain custody of her son. The account indicates a goal of $20,000. Currently, the amount reached is slightly over, $17,000.

If the Justina Pelletier case is any indication of what lies ahead for Monika in her quest to bring Dylan home, then she may be facing a long and arduous battle. Only time will tell if the public will embrace her story and rally around Dylan, as they did for Justina.

Trevor Loudon picks Leaders of the 2nd American Revolution

Hat Tip: Dick Manasseri

Michael Cummins:

Trevor Loudon is an internationally acclaimed libertarian author, researcher, activist, blogger, and commentator. A leader of the libertarian movement in his native New Zealand – he is best known to Americans for his prominent role in the documentary motion picture film “Agenda” in which he eloquently exposes the left’s agenda to transform America.

He is also founder and editor of KeyWiki.org a rapidly growing website with the objective of bringing transparency to those aspects of U.S. and global politics that the left would prefer you not notice.

A Heartbreaking Unspoken Consequence of Obama

By: Lloyd Marcus

Decades of socialist/progressive indoctrination in our schools, media and culture, plus six years of Obama, has yielded a devastating unspoken consequence. It is the loss of who we use to be as Americans.

In his 1961 Inaugural Address, President John F. Kennedy said, “My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” Democrats have perverted Kennedy’s inspiring challenge. Their dispiriting goal is to have as many Americans as possible controlled by and dependent on government, even for life itself, which is at the root of Obamacare.

I mourn the loss of the independent self-reliant mindset which made our parents great; and the pride and dignity it generated within them. Welfare (government assistance) was a last resort and for the truly needy.

Today, far too many Americans see no shame in living on government assistance or scamming the system. The Left’s campaign led by the Obama Administration to instill an entitlement mindset in many has proven successful. The Administration even campaigned targeting minorities, discouraging their instinct to be self-reliant. http://bit.ly/1ixsqOm Even worse, the Administration portrays getting on welfare as the honorable thing to do. Dear Lord, what kind of nation are we becoming?

An unprecedented 47 million Americans are on food stamps which is riddled with fraud. http://bit.ly/1pzGeIT The Obama Administration has added over 10,000 new oppressive job-killing regulations. Consequently, 90 million are unemployed and on unemployment which is also riddled with fraud. Here’s another first for America, over 11 million are receiving disability benefits; riddled with fraud. http://bit.ly/1su5W50 Clearly, many believe working is for suckers when the government is handing out freebies. http://bit.ly/1lJCoNc

In his War on Achievers, Obama used his bully pulpit to deflate business owners by saying, “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that.http://bit.ly/1lJEg77 Obama and his operatives use compassionate sounding terms such as “social justice” and “income inequality” to justify the government confiscating the earnings of achievers and redistributing it to non-achievers to win their votes. Despicable.

My heart aches for my America when character, excellence and hard work were rewarded, celebrated and respected.

At 9 or 10 years old, I worked part-time for my neighbor Mr Buddy Roy. I pulled the copper out of old motors for him to sell. I still remember the pride I felt making my own money.

In the early 1950s, blacks were allowed to take the entrance test for the Baltimore City Fire Dept. My dad applied and mom helped. My parents sought opportunity not handouts. Talk about a strong black woman, though compassionate and loving, mom could be a tough no nonsense person.

I remember my parents sitting at the kitchen table, a glass turned upside down between them with mom tapping on the glass with a spoon. She was simulating the different bell sounds which alerted the firefighters to various situations. She would yell at my dad, “No, that’s wrong, stupid! Listen and get it right!” Thanks to my drill sergeant mom, dad was among a hand full of blacks who became Baltimore City’s first black firefighters.

Being a pioneer is never easy. Dad endured humiliating work conditions and blatant racism. Still, dad relished the opportunity. Thanks to his Christian faith, dad won admiration and respect by fighting racism and hate with excellence. He won “Firefighter of the Year” two times.

That mindset of putting ones best foot forward and striving for loftier standards is what I fear we are rapidly losing as Americans. Apparently, character is no longer expected in our leaders. President Obama is caught repeatedly lying to the American people and the response is ho-hum, let’s move on.

The trend is to celebrate deadbeats, entitlement junkies, haters of achievers and assorted low life. For example. The Democrats and mainstream media loved the Occupy Wall Street mobs. People were assaulted and even raped at their angry mob gatherings. Severely infected with an entitlement mindset, Occupiers dumped feces in a public building demanding the government redistribute wealth to them. http://bit.ly/1maLyRQ.

Meanwhile, the Left continues their shameful relentless demonizing and slandering the Tea Party with unfounded allegations of racism. The Obama Administration has plotted to criminalize free speech (the Tea Party). Folks, we are talking decent hard-working Americans who are simply pushing back against Obama’s shock and awe assault on our freedoms, liberty and culture. http://bit.ly/V1XZFy

Tax cheat Democrat Rep. Charlie Rangel compared the Tea Party to Hamas terrorists. Either Mr Rangel is a loudmouth clueless idiot or a despicable evil human being. Leftists like Rangel who throw unfounded irresponsible “hate” grenades at millions of Americans should be called on it. Inciting racial division is extremely serious. http://bit.ly/1imfPO1

Amidst the unbelievably long list of scandals, crimes and misdemeanors of the Obama regime, the damage that this evil man and his minions have done to the internal make-up of many Americans is extremely disturbing and heartbreaking.

Please view me performing my song, “We Are Americans” http://bit.ly/1qlirOh which I wrote to remind us of who we use to be and I believe a majority still are as Americans. I have faith that the liberal’s, socialist’s and progressive’s toxic disease of entitlement thinking has not reached critical mass.

My fellow Americans, we are exceptional, a chosen people. We are Americans!

Information Revealed

Arlene from Israel

Late yesterday, Israeli security released the names of the two men who are believed to be the abductors of the three kidnapped boys.

Amer Abu Aysha and Marwan Kawasme, residents of Hevron, have been missing since the kidnapping. They always prayed in the same mosque and informants in that neighborhood reported on their absence (which, at the time, I noted). Their wives were extensively interrogated and their homes have been thoroughly searched several times.

The two are members of Hamas. As is often the case, Hamas involvement has been a family affair for them: Marwan Kawasme’s uncle, Abdullah Kawasme was the commander of Hamas’s military wing in Hebron until he was killed in a battle with SWAT officers in 2003; while Amer Abu Aysha’s brother, Zayd, a Hamas member, was killed in a battle with Israeli soldiers in 2005, and his father, Omer, served time in Israeli prison because of Hamas involvement.

Abu Aysha’s mother said that if her son is involved in the kidnapping, she is proud of him.

It is believed that they were in the car when the boys were abducted and are now in hiding. This does not necessarily mean they are any longer with the boys, who may have been turned over to other Hamas operatives.

There is no explanation as to why this information, which the security forces have had since the beginning, is being released now. But what this does is make clear that there indeed is direct Hamas involvement, just as Netanyahu has insisted.

The other news about the search for the boys came Wednesday night, not long after I had posted. It represented a reversal of an announcement from the day prior: There was going to be no slow down in the operation after all, decided the Security Cabinet – not with regard to going after Hamas or taking care not to offend during Ramadan, or anything else. Full speed ahead. A welcome announcement.

What precipitated this reversal is not clear, although it is speculated that a presentation the three mothers gave in the Knesset – where they were received with enormous empathy – may have had something to do with it.

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/182161#.U606NJtZrIU

Bat-Galim Sha’ar, mother of Gilad, in an emotional speech, implored the government not to curtail efforts. The message delivered was that the mothers had full confidence in the measures being taken to find their sons, as long as they were done without slowdown.

The original announcement about the slowdown had said the operation against the Hamas organization in Judea and Samaria would be curtailed – as it was just about exhausted, while the search for the boys would continue unabated. But truth to tell, it’s difficult to draw a meaningful line between the two. Any Hamas operative picked up, for whatever reason, might end up providing meaningful information.

And, indeed, after the slow down was reversed, overnight on Wednesday there was a sweep in the Hevron area and 10 were arrested.

A decision was made Wednesday night, as well, to block the Palestinian Authority monthly transfer of funds to terrorists incarcerated in Israeli prisons. The longer the term of incarceration, the greater the larger the monthly “stipend.”

It was with reason, then, that Naftali Bennett, head of Habayit Hayehudi, on Thursday, applauding this decision, called Abbas a “mega-terrorist” for his financial support of imprisoned terrorists.
“In May, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman addressed the subject of Palestinian prisoners being paid stipends by the PA, noting that some 5,000 security prisoners are paid more than NIS 7,500 a month each.

“’Abbas, who whines about the PA’s finances, pays large stipends to prisoners convicted of murder and those who tried to become suicide bombers,’ Lieberman told the MKs. ‘The prisoners are given three times as much as Palestinian policemen.’” (Emphasis added)

It is now time to turn to my Shabbat preparations, once more with a prayer in my heart that when I return to write again, the boys will have been found.

Shabbat Shalom to one and all.
