A Korean Veteran Speaks Out

Hat Tip: Michael Volpe

Norman Hughes, the Korean War vet held against his will, has made another YouTube video.

The designated guardian, Keith Dobbs, is now retaliating against him by stopping his family from seeing him. Please get the word out. He’s a veteran and served his country faithfully – no one should be treated this way, especially by the government of the country he fought for.

  1. Punishing Mr. Hughes by denying him his family is cruel and inhumane treatment. NASGA’s position on guardians / conservators who isolate their wards from family, friends, clergy, and/or advocates without a court order is that they should be immediately removed from the case and charged with and prosecuted for elder abuse.

Anyone who sees this video can see the overwhelming love between this father and his son.

For more information on unlawful and abusive guardianships and conservatorships, visit NASGA’s website: http://www.StopGuardianAbuse.org.

  2. you can send this video all around the world ten times over and NOTHING WILL HAPPEN.
you can CONTINUE TO GROVEL AND BEG THE POLITICAL WHORES TO REWRITE THESE ILLEGAL AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL LAWS and OBVIOUSLY NOTHING HAPPENS.

when the people DESTROYED BY THIS SYSTEM WAKE UP AND SUE THE S-IT OUTTA THEIR GOVERNORS ON DOWN ,SUING ON THE FEDERAL LEVEL FOR EVERY SINGLE USC VIOLATION AND THE EGREGIOUS CONSTITUTIONAL VIOLATIONS
AND SUE FOR MILLIONS….THINGS GET CHANGED DAMN FAST.

why can’t the victims get their act together,FILE and WIN ?
when there are no crimes, they have absolutely NO AUTHORITY in taking away THE RIGHTS.–read the CONSTITUTION-you cannot remove rights via a hearing to begin with as there is NO DUE PROCESS,never mind NO CRIMINAL ACTS. READ THE constitution.
when there are no crimes, they have absolutely NO AUTHORITY in REMOVING PEOPLE FROM THEIR CARE GIVERS AND /OR FAMILIES.

    WAKE UP.
    ORGANIZE AND FILE.

  3. To quote Albert Einstein: “The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.” I am very grateful for all the people who are now doing something about this, like the National Association to Stop Guardian Abuse, the Citizens Committee to Protect the Elderly, Boomers Against Elder Abuse, and the internet news media who are raising awareness to this growing cancer in our society.

I and my brother have been subjected to abuse in this system, and each time I speak up even about the abuse my brother has suffered in institutions in our country not only do I get retaliated against, my brother gets retaliated against in worse care and neglect, even going so far as his estate now being threatened by his own medical doctor and attorney/guardian in my filing with the Human Rights and Dept. of Health Professionals for the doctor’s legal fees of 19,000 and if the judge does not award this this attorney/guardian fears that the medical doctor will say that my brother has to move. (hint of blackmail and extortion here?) There were no court hearings, no hearings of any kind while filing my grievances with these government agencies designed to protect our most vulnerable. From my understanding the guardian stepped in and interfered. To my knowledge this attorney last saw my brother in 2005 in a meeting for the ongoing abuse at the last place of residency.

I have been threatened by this doctor with a law suit, I have been given restrictions in visitations (four times a year, three days at a time, three hours each visit, no photos, no videos, and cannot see him by myself). I have not seen my brother in over 4 1/2 years and they are saying that they are not preventing me from seeing him?

First off, my seeing my brother would be cruel to him as he has no understanding of any of this due to his severe limitations of Traumatic Brain Injury after having been shot in the head during a robbery in Los Angeles at a gas station, and the last time I saw him he told me he wanted to come home and never come back here (the institution) again, and he became very upset that I had to leave him there. He always loves to see me and yet, they say that I upset him? Not hardly!

And second, I do not associate with men (in medical) who are into prostitution, pornography, who have their license on probation for three years after having sex with a client for almost two years, who take residents to strip clubs, who have a history of cocaine use, and arrest for assaulting a former wife with a knife. I do not associate with guardian/attorneys who tell me (according to her mother) that all people of disability aught to be euthanized as they are a financial drain on society, an attorney that I fired as she refused to ever help me in the ongoing care of my brother for years when getting the Dept of Protection and Advocacy involved to get my brother out of abuse/neglect with subsequent damages. And to think I took this woman to Ireland with me to pay her back for pro bono services out of a one time fiduciary fee that I received in 2001. Was I ever unconscious to what was really going on at that time?

And furthermore, I do not associate with medical doctors who are “very good friends” with the CEO of the prior facility that I had criminal charges per the Dept of Protection and Advocacy plus law suit for subsequent damages and who operated under false pretense and lying to me from the beginning.

I have been told several times by medical people in brain injury that my brother falls through the cracks in the system, well the entire system is cracked and we are now cracking it open with public awareness and pressure for reform and changes for the highest and greatest good for all people (our elderly, our people of disability and our children) by all of us speaking the truth.
