Is the Pope Committing a Sin of Omission?

By: Merrill McCarthy

Pope1

Is the Pope Making Money Moving Bodies into America?

This week marks the historic visit of Pope Francis and his speech before a joint session of Congress. To showcase charity and humility, he is choosing to dine with the homeless rather than attending a luncheon with Congressional leaders, and is being ferried around in a tiny Fiat rather than a limousine.

Pope2

The optics and the message are registering, but are they misleading?

The Pope’s message to Congress was clear. We are all refugees somewhere in our backgrounds and it important to do everything possible to make the refugee’s lives easier and we must welcome them to our midst. He has already gone on record in Europe announcing the Vatican will welcome two refugee families and he wants every diocese to follow suit.

But maybe the Pope should embrace transparency and divulge the obvious conflict of interest he has when asking for more help for refugees. The Catholic Church profits financially.

Pope3

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is one of the nine contractors that handle all the placements in the Refugee Resettlement (RR) program which has been underway for thirty five years in the U.S.A. On their website, you will find they take credit for handling the placement of 30% of the refugees that come here every year.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops is well paid for their efforts. The USCCB is paid with tax dollars from U.S. citizens who are in the dark about how this program works. People are ill-informed about a program that has been going on since the 1980’s with little-to-no oversight from the elected officials in DC who rubber stamp and renew it on an annual basis. There are no public hearings and little publicity until people wake up one day to find their town has been flooded by refugees who are very dependent on the community for schools, public safety, medical care, translators and a myriad of other needs.

Refugee Resettlement in the U.S. Is a billion dollar a-year industry. The contractors are paid by the head to get refugees set up in a community. Once this brief orientation of just a few months is over, the refugees are on their own, but not really, because the orientation period has been used by the resettlement contractor to line up all available federal and state welfare programs to act as a safety net. It is so much of a safety net that it has had the effect of making people dependent on government handouts and many remain on welfare indefinitely.

Because the refugee problem is so lacking in transparency, the stakeholders, the U.S. taxpayers have not had an opportunity to make their voices heard. There has never been a public examination or debate about the most desirable strategies to deal with refugees. Many of the best solutions are being overlooked because people don’t even know enough to ask the right questions. Those who profit from the Refugee Resettlement program tend to be guarded and secretive. The resettlement industry spends time and effort to strategize how they will deal with “pockets of resistance” or in other words, the private citizens who have a group of strangers dumped on their doorstep and choose to resist. This is a global program with the UN in charge and calling the tune, and yet it affects every taxpayer for not only the original placements, but also the ongoing needs of a population of immigrants that rarely become totally self-sufficient and integrated within the community. There is a marked lack of assimilation and recent refugees do not even pay lip service to assimilation.

If the Pope would ever hope to have moral authority on the refugee question, he must divulge his clear conflict of interest as a paid contractor through the participation of the Conference of Catholic Bishops. This is not charity. It is big business with a big payday as evidenced by six figure salaries for the contractors and high priced lobbyists in Washington DC. The idea that the Pope would come to this country, always top-of-the-list in charitable donations, and lecture citizens who may have been negatively affected by a flood of both legal and illegal immigrants, is offensive in light of the Catholic Church’s obvious financial stake in keeping the RR program in place and growing.

Pope4

What can you do? Go to Ann Corcoran’s excellent site, and learn all you can. Be sure to sign the petition that calls for local control for refugee resettlement linked to her site and share it with all your contacts. Talk to your elected officials at every level. Encourage them to get up to speed and start to exercise some local control. We cannot allow our lives to be impacted by officials at the UN rather than our elected officials. We should call a halt to RR until we can study the problem for the best solutions. If you just remember “local” rather than “global” as the guiding principle you will be on the right track. We do not want influence from the less-than-truthful globalists at the UN or the Vatican.

Pope Lays Out Global Marxist Agenda

By: Cliff Kincaid
Accuracy in Media

Socialist Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is ecstatic over the pope’s address to Congress. In a message to his supporters, titled, “Why we must listen to Pope Francis,” he was particularly pleased with the fact that in his address to Congress, “Pope Francis spoke of Dorothy Day, who was a tireless advocate for the impoverished and working people in America. I think it was extraordinary that he cited her as one of the most important people in recent American history.” Day was a Marxist apologist for socialism and communist regimes. We covered this territory in my column, “With Pope’s Help, U.N. Bypasses Congress on Global Socialism.”

With Republican congressional leaders under fire from conservatives for cowering in the face of a Democratic Party onslaught, all that they needed was to roll out the welcome mat for a Marxist pope who would put them further on the defensive. But that’s exactly what happened.

Phyllis Bennis of the Marxist Institute for Policy Studies was right: “Pope Francis’ address to Congress was almost certainly not what John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, and other congressional leaders had in mind when they invited the pope to speak.” Speaking for many on the left, including the pro-abortion lobby, she said, “His clear call to end the death penalty was the only example he gave of protecting the sanctity of life: Even amid a raging congressional debate over Planned Parenthood, he never mentioned abortion.”

The list of left-wing causes in the pope’s address was extensive. Bennis noted “his calls to protect the rights of immigrants and refugees, end the death penalty, preserve the planet from the ravages of climate change, and defend the poor and dispossessed.” And then there was the attack on the policies of peace through strength, which keep us free. “Being at the service of dialogue and peace also means being truly determined to minimize and, in the long term, to end the many armed conflicts throughout our world,” the pope said. He then asked, “Why are deadly weapons being sold to those who plan to inflict untold suffering on individuals and society?”

He should ask that of Vladimir Putin.

Most Americans understand the rationale for legal immigrants. But illegal aliens who commit crimes are something else. The pope seems not to recognize a difference.

The death penalty is a punishment reserved for heinous killers. But he doesn’t mention abortion, which has taken tens of millions of innocent lives. This seemed strange to conservative Catholics, who are starting to come to grips with the fact that this is a “progressive” pope, who is not hostile toward what anti-communist Pope John Paul II called the “culture of death” through population control and reduction.

Francis’s answer on the arms control issue was to challenge the United States alone and blame its spending on national defense on monetary motives. “Sadly, the answer, as we all know, is simply for money: money that is drenched in blood, often innocent blood,” said the pope. “In the face of this shameful and culpable silence, it is our duty to confront the problem and to stop the arms trade.”

That’s a slander of our brave fighting men and women, many of whom have given their lives or sacrificed their limbs to bring freedom to people around the word, especially Muslims in such places as Iraq and Afghanistan.

Against the global Jihad, what does the pope expect the U.S. to do? Disarm?

Praising “his uniquely progressive papal perspective,” far-left radio host Amy Goodman noted that “The pope has been frank in his criticism of much of the core of U.S. society: capitalism, consumerism, war and the failure to confront climate change.” This is a fraud, of course. They used to warn us against global cooling. It then became global warming and now climate change. The cause always changes until they find something to lure people into schemes for bigger government and higher taxes.

Recognizing the socialism of the pope, Al Jazeera posted an article, “Bernie Sanders, the pope and the moral imperative of systemic change,” by Gar Alperovitz, the co-chair with James Gustave Speth of The Next System Project. Speth, former administrator of the United Nations Development Program, put his name on its 1994 “Human Development Report,” which openly promoted global taxes for world government.

The “Next System” is another name for the replacement of global capitalism by global socialism.

Those endorsing this project, in addition to Alperovitz and Speth, include:

“We have fundamental problems because of fundamental flaws in our economic and political system,” the New Project proclaims. “The crisis now unfolding in so many ways across our country amounts to a systemic crisis. Today’s political economic system is not programmed to secure the wellbeing of people, place and planet. Instead, its priorities are corporate profits, the growth of GDP, and the projection of national power.”

The group goes on, “Large-scale system change is needed but has until recently been constrained by a continuing lack of imagination concerning social, economic and political alternatives. There are alternatives that can lead to the systemic change we need.”

Yes there are. They are called socialism and communism. But they would rather call it “sustainable development,” in order to confuse people about how the American way of life is being targeted for extinction.

Hillary Clinton

Barack Obama

The Council has spoken, the votes have been cast and the results are in for this week’s Watcher’s Council match-up.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. – Edmund Burke

Good courage in a bad affair is half of the evil overcome. – Titus Maccius Plautus

Be it so. This burning of widows is your custom; prepare the funeral pile. But my nation has also a custom. When men burn women alive we hang them, and confiscate all their property. My carpenters shall therefore erect gibbets on which to hang all concerned when the widow is consumed. Let us all act according to national customs. – General Sir Charles Napier, explaining to Hindus that the custom of suttee was no longer to be tolerated, 1849.

Afghanistan is easy to march into, but hard to march out of. – Alexander The Great

This week’s winning essay, Afghani Boys Screaming In The Night: US Soldiers Told To Stand Down And Not Stop Rape, is pretty much about what the title implies it is… a no holds barred indictment of what evil the Obama Administration has ordered our troops to ignore and how it has punished those who refused to turn their heads. Here’s a slice:

The last thing Lance Cpl. Gregory Buckley Jr. told his father in 2012, was that he could hear young boys screaming in the night as they were raped, but they had been told to stand down. They were not to interfere because it was part of the Afghani culture. Since when are orders given to ignore blatantly deviant, vicious acts? Why are soldiers being told to just pretend atrocities are not happening on their watch? This takes evil to a whole new level and the officers who are commanding their men to do nothing and turn a blind eye are almost as guilty as the beasts who are raping these children. This is what has become of our military command under Barack Obama.

Buckley could hear Afghan police officers sexually abusing boys they had brought onto the base from his bunk and was forbidden to stop it. They were just one floor beneath him. “At night we can hear them screaming, but we’re not allowed to do anything about it,” the Marine’s father, Gregory Buckley Sr., recalled his son telling him before he was shot to death at the base in 2012. He urged his son to tell his superiors. “My son said that his officers told him to look the other way because it’s their culture.”

This policy of pretending child rape is not occurring all around these men probably contributed to the murder of Lance Corporal Buckley. He was gunned down on his base in 2012 by one of the “Tea Boys” that was servicing an Afghan police commander there in more ways than one. He came onto the base with a large contingent of these servant boys in tow. The commander’s name was Sarwar Jan.

Jan had a very bad track record. One that included corruption, supporting the Taliban and child abduction. I’m sure child molestation was left off that record for PC reasons. Two Marine officers in 2010 got him arrested, but just two years later, he was back with another unit and on Buckley’s post, Forward Operating Base Delhi, in Helmand Province.

One of the officers who had turned Jan in back in 2010 was Maj. Jason Brezler. He wrote an email to Marine officers warning them about Jan and he attached pertinent information to back that up. He was never listened to. Two weeks later, one of the boys with Jan, who was about 17, picked up a rifle and killed Buckley and two other Marines. Buckley’s father believes his murder was connected to the ongoing sexual abuse there on the base. Those that had complained about it were targets.

Only one person was punished in the whole tragic affair… Major Brezler who sent out the warning in the first place. One of the Marine Corps lawyers said that the information about the police commander’s penchant for abusing boys might be classified. The Marine Corps has now initiated proceedings to discharge Major Brezler.

The pervert commander has now taken a higher-ranking police command in that province. He and his family are adept liars and claim he never raped anyone and had nothing to do with the murder of those Marines. His word was taken over the word of Marines by officers. The scuttlebutt in the province is that he still has a tremendous appetite for children and sexual abuse.

What does it say about our military and our nation when we let demons like this commit unspeakable acts against children and we let them operate with impunity? What does it say about us when we let them bring child sex slaves onto our military bases to sodomize these boys in the middle of the night and our warriors are commanded to ignore the screams? Yes, massive sexual abuse of children is considered ‘normal’ in Islamic culture. That doesn’t make it right. If they were into child sacrifice, would we be forced to just watch that as well? What about beheadings and crucifixions? If these beasts aren’t having their way with some defenseless goat, they are out trolling for children. The young boys are a sign of power and wealth to these men. They feel their perverted debauchery is a perk of their position in life. The practice is called bacha bazi, literally “boy play.” How sick is that? Any pervert caught raping a child should be executed on the spot.

Our Marines are told to stand down because we are working with the Afghan forces and we don’t want to offend them. I don’t give a rat’s ass whether they are ‘offended’ or not. Our soldiers are finding this practice very hard to stomach. I’m sure many have the sincere urge to beat the pedophiles into a bloody pulp. Our military is knowingly promoting these ‘boy lovers’ and arming them. They are making them commanders of villages where they can take the most beautiful children as their sex slaves. All with the help and blessing of the US military command.

“The reason we were here is because we heard the terrible things the Taliban were doing to people, how they were taking away human rights,” said Dan Quinn, a former Special Forces captain who beat up an American-backed militia commander for keeping a boy chained to his bed as a sex slave. “But we were putting people into power who would do things that were worse than the Taliban did — that was something village elders voiced to me.”

The policy of keeping silent and turning a blind eye as these Afghani war lords and commanders rape and abuse children is being scrutinized. It should never have existed and speaks to a very disturbing tendency in our military under the current command to justify evil acts to accomplish a desired goal. If they’ll allow this to happen to innocent children, what do you think they would do to Americans? Captain Quinn and others are facing disciplinary proceedings, sometimes ruin, for doing something about these egregious crimes by our so-called Afghan allies. They did the right thing and are now being punished for it.
