Ted Cruz responds strongly to ‘globalist’ smear (screenshot)
“The candidate’s assertion that CFR is working to undermine U.S. sovereignty is factually wrong. The accusation is ludicrous…” – CFR Vice President Lisa Shields criticizing Ted Cruz in 2011
Before and after becoming Senator, Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz repeatedly, unapologetically and aggressively defended the sovereignty of the United States. Whether he was loudly denouncing Agenda 21 or taking on Obamacare, Global Warming alarmism (also here), Operation Choke Point or the Gang of 8, Cruz’s defense of limited government and United States sovereignty has remained consistent and steady well before he was elected to the Senate.

Cruz has argued before the Supreme Court on nine different occasions. One case in particular, Medellín v. Texas, had Cruz battling directly with then-President George W. Bush, who believed that illegal immigrants who raped and murdered two young teenagers should have the chance to appeal their case in the world court. Cruz did not agree and he won the case, ensuring justice for the families of the victims and reaffirming U.S. sovereignty.
As put by Jerome Corsi of WND:
Cruz “fought and won a landmark ruling for U.S. sovereignty” against “90 foreign nations and the president of the United States to ensure the supremacy of U.S. legal system against encroachment by international treaties and rulings of a World Court.”
Furthermore, Ted Cruz “represented 31 states in the Heller case, which upheld the individual right to keep and bear arms.”
As reported at the American Thinker by Daniel John Sobieski:
Ted Cruz was a prime mover in getting Heller, in which Scalia wrote the majority opinion, before the Court and decided in favor of gun rights, ruling that the right to keep and bear arms was an individual right and that the word “militia”, as the Founders intended, meant the “whole people” of the United States. If Heller had gone the other way, our gun rights would have been thrown on the ash heap of history.
Despite his clear and proven limited government credentials, Cruz has been repeatedly attacked for his wife’s time spent on the Council on Foreign Relations, where she advocated for the private sector.

In a little-viewed video from when Ted Cruz was running for Senate, Cruz defends the globalist smear:
As the senate campaign heated up, Cruz was confronted with his opinion of the Council on Foreign Relations. His response led to a denunciation from CFR VP Lisa Shields.
Watch:
Cruz’s comments led to the following response:
“The candidate’s assertion that CFR is working to undermine U.S. sovereignty is factually wrong. The accusation is ludicrous…CFR is a membership organization for American citizens that works to promote a better understanding of American foreign policy and of the United States’ role in the world. Implicit in CFR’s mission is the principle that the United States is indisputably a sovereign nation.” – CFR Vice President Lisa Shields criticizing Ted Cruz in 2011
But Ted Cruz doubled down on his comments in 2014:
As reported at TrevorLoudon.com:
Another instance that this author found of Ted Cruz & “globalist” goes back in 2012 when Ted Cruz was running for Senator. But Ted Cruz was actually criticizing “Agenda 21” as a “globalist plan that tries to subvert the U.S. Constitution and the liberties we all cherish as Americans.”
At the time, the George Soros-funded ThinkProgress slammed Cruz for pushing a “truly ridiculous conspiracy theory,” and a Tea Party star was born.
On the “globalist” charge, Nalle said it best in 2012:
“It’s all a patchwork of irrational fear and ignorant assumptions with no substance to it whatever…”
Speaking of the Council on Foreign Relations, Ted Cruz is the only candidate to have refrained from meeting with the globalist organization.
Ted Cruz got that right, the CFR a is a den of vipers but that is not end of the story. Occasionally the people at the CRF will endure criticism from people who say they are outsiders so when people like Cruz get into positions of power. The reason is they can more easily deceive the people who supported them to go alone with something they otherwise were adamantly opposed to. One such example is that as a staunch anti-communist is only Nixon could go to China. He was also the one who took America off the gold standard.
Some history of the coming North American Union.
As a result of George W. Bush’s seeing the CFR’s Report from their Task Force on the Future of North America entitled, “Building a North American Community,” he initiated the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America. The purpose of the Partnership was the Task Force Report indicated was a full “ North American integration.” (Report downloadable from here.)

Joint Statement by President Bush, President Fox, and Prime Minister Martin
We, the elected leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the United States, gather in Texas to announce the establishment of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America [SPP].

To deceive the people of the three countries The SPP was changed into the North American Leaders’ Summit where the three leaders would continue to meet yearly to better coordinate their efforts to merge North America together.
The final press release of the SPP ends with the following:
President Calderón and President Obama welcome Prime Minister Harper’s offer to host the next North American Leaders’ Summit in 2010. We will continue to work through this North American Leaders’ Summit process, in an inclusive and transparent manner, for the common benefit of the people of Mexico, Canada, and the United States. 1.usa.gov/1ShpvV3

The integration of the United States with Canada and Mexico, long deemed by many as little more than a fanciful “conspiracy theory,” was actually an idea promoted by the Council on Foreign Relations and sold to President Bush as a means of increasing commerce and business interests throughout North America, according to a top Canadian businessman.

As president Ted Cruz will continue this merging of America into the North American Union and positioning himself to be the first president of the North American Union. He must be stopped.
