Justifying the Locksmith Licensing Scam

By: T F Stern | T F Stern’s Rantings

LicensingI’ve been involved in the locksmith industry right at forty years.  As far back as the 70s those who taught me the ‘tricks of the trade’ could see the handwriting on the wall; eventually licenses would be required.  A couple of respected locksmiths vouched for my abilities and had me join the Associated Locksmiths of American (ALOA) with the understanding that having membership would be the key, no pun intended, the key to being ‘grandfathered’ by the State; they were correct.

Licensing came about in spite of many individuals pointing out it was a mistake; but as it was explained in no uncertain terms by our local ALOA representatives, it was either become licensed or find some other line of work.

I wrote some of my thoughts when it all came about, Business Licenses – Jump for Joy.  From that article:

I will start off with the stated mission of the Agency which is the “protection of the public through fair and impartial regulation of the Private Investigations and Private Security Industry”. It goes further and states its job as Agency in the State of Texas for “ensuring citizens and consumers of investigations and security services, that these industries provide reliable services, employ qualified and trustworthy personnel, and are free from misrepresentation and fraud”. With a mission statement as broad as all that; (*) who could complain that they don’t have everyone’s interests at heart?  (*sarcasm button engaged)

Our Watcher’s Council Nominations – Post-Constitutional Edition

The Watcher’s Council

Donald Trump

Welcome to the Watcher’s Council, a blogging group consisting of some of the most incisive blogs in the ‘sphere and the longest running group of its kind in existence. Every week, the members nominate two posts each, one written by themselves and one written by someone from outside the group for consideration by the whole Council. Then we vote on the best two posts, with the results appearing on Friday morning.

Council News:

This week we were sad indeed to say goodbye to long-time Council member Brent Parrish at The Right Planet.

Brent is taking a hiatus from blogging to concentrate on family and business concerns, and all of us wish him the best. And of course, as a plugged in member of the WoW community, we’ll look forward to hearing from him in the future in our Forum, our inter-Council threads and perhaps, even an article as a non-council submission if he gets the bug to write again, which we certainly hope he will.

This means we currently have a vacancy on the Watcher’s Council, the oldest and most established blogging group in the ‘sphere. Any talented, interested parties should contact me directly by leaving a comment on any story on JoshuaPundit, including your name, site name and e-mail info as well as anything else you wish to include. Needless to say, it won’t be published, but I will respond promptly to your inquiry and tell you what’s involved.

So, let’s see what we have for you this week…

Thanks and May God Bless Ted Cruz

By: Lloyd Marcus

Ted Cruz

On election day in Indiana, my wife Mary, our Conservative Campaign Committee and I did a final sign wave for Cruz.

That evening a friend texted, “Ted Cruz dropped out of the Presidential race tonight.” I replied, “Okay.”

Voters blew it. They allowed the best hope for America to get away. My first thought was to thank Ted and Heidi Cruz. Secondly, I wanted to thank and say something comforting to my fellow patriots who labored long and hard to save our country via Ted Cruz. Sadly, I could not think of anything hopeful or encouraging to say.

In our hotel room, Mary tearfully exchanged texts with family and friends supportive of Cruz. I decided to go for a walk. As I walked around the hotel grounds, an old hymn came to mind.

Where could I go where could I go
Seeking a refuge for my soul
Needing a friend to help me in the end
Where could I go but to the Lord.

That is the answer folks. I find refuge, peace and hope in trusting God.

It took a miracle for Cruz to become a US Senator. God did not bring Ted this far to leave him. While I would never presume to know God’s plan, I know He is not done with Ted. Ted Cruz is a young man. Let’s continue to pray that God strengthens and protects Ted and his family.

Keep the faith brother and sister patriots. As God gives me strength, I will continue fighting to save our country. I pray that you will do the same. God bless, Lloyd

Trump White House: Just How Bad a Narcissist, Really? Sam Vaknin Relates

By: Arlen Williams | Gulag Bound

The tulip tree (liriodendron tulipifera) official state tree of Indiana, as in “out of one’s tulip tree”

AW:  The Third of May was quite an auspicious day in American history. First, we had Donald Trump’s freakish Lee Harvey Oswalding of Ted Cruz’ father Rafael. It was as if he shouted at the top of his lungs, “America! Listen! I am not fit for the U.S. Presidency!” This brought Cruz’ epic lambasting of Trump as the malignant narcissist he is (reader, catch it if you haven’t). Then, of course Hoosiers deftly proceeded to tilt the whole Republican pan of marbles to Trump, whereupon Cruz suspended his campaign. I think God is showing our country just how sensible we have gotten.

It’s been two months since I interviewed you and I’m really annoyed about a number of things, Sam. The news media are derelict of duty about Trump and his readily apparent Narcissistic Personality Disorder, despite the warnings from you and a number of other experts who have put their reputations on the line. “Trumpkins” in social media claim all politicians are narcissists, so what? Maybe the core of the matter is people don’t understand how dangerous and harmful this all is. Let’s start with that.

So, just speculatively, from your experience and observations, how dangerous do you believe a President Trump would be?

The Propaganda Network Behind Trump’s Bizarre Tabloid Charges

By: Cliff Kincaid | Accuracy in Media

Ted Cruz

Until Tuesday, political observers thought Donald J. Trump got information about foreign affairs from the Sunday shows. Then we learned that he had relied on an unsubstantiated story in the National Enquirer for the facts about the assassination of John F.Kennedy.

The charges were classic Russian disinformation. These had a double purpose—taking attention away from the communist conspiracy that actually murdered President Kennedy, and transferring the notoriety to Trump’s political opponent in the U.S. presidential race.

The attack on Cruz’s father, publicized by Trump on the Fox News Channel, was taken directly from the National Enquirer but has also been transmitted by a series of outlets known to be part of Moscow’s global propaganda apparatus, and some lesser-known left-wing, or “progressive,” sites. One name that figures prominently in several of the reports and who apparently “broke” the story is Wayne Madsen, who claims all kinds of high-level intelligence connections. Until the Cruz story, his main claim to fame was being the source for a story in the Globe—another supermarket tabloid—which allegedthat President George W. Bush was having an extramarital affair with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

A regular contributor to the Russia Today and Iranian Press TV propaganda channels, Madsen has also alleged that Barack Obama and/or his family members had CIA connections. He highlights the work of his grandmother in his bio, calling her “a newspaper reporter and editor for Land og Folk as well as a novelist.” Land og Folk was a Danish language communist newspaper. One of Madsen’s admitted journalism icons is I.F. Stone, exposed as a Soviet agent of influence.

Madsen’s story tried to link Cruz’s father to JFK assassin Lee Harvey Oswald, a pro-Marxist member of the “Fair Play for Cuba Committee,” which had links to the Communist Party USA and the Socialist Workers Party.
