General Mattis Stages a Transgender Coup

Conservative activist Eugene Delgaudio tells a story of meeting Donald J. Trump and confronting him about his liberal past. Trump assured Delgaudio he has repudiated his past. But the old Trump was on display on Wednesday, when President Trump embraced Democratic Party gun control measures and insulted  Republicans as tools of the NRA. Trump actually endorsed taking guns away from people before judging their fitness to carry a gun. “Take the guns first, go through due process second,” Trump said. His proposal was totalitarian.

In another curious development, Trump has issued an executive order banning transgenders in the military but has let Defense Secretary General Jim Mattis engineer a process to keep them in. Who’s the boss?

With the late evangelist Rev. Billy Graham having been honored in the Capitol Rotunda, it’s appropriate to consider something from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association on the matter of homosexuality. The ministry notes that, “From Genesis on, the Bible praises the marriage of a man and a woman, but it speaks only negatively of homosexual behavior whenever it is mentioned.” In fact, it says the Old Testament states, “Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable” (Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13), and the New Testament agrees, listing “homosexual offenders” among a list of people who “will not inherit the kingdom of God” unless they are cleansed through Christ (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

Of course, some people don’t accept what the Bible has to say on this topic. But the scientific evidence of the health hazards of behavior associated with transgenders and homosexuals cannot be ignored. The Centers for Disease Control notes, “The HIV transmission rate for transgender women is triple that of gay men.” What’s more, the CDC says, “While CDC estimates that four percent of men in the United States are MSM [men who have sex with men] , the rate of new HIV diagnoses among them is more than 44 times that of other men.”

In short, former President Obama’s policy of accepting open homosexuals and transgenders was a dangerous risk to human health and even the blood supply that soldiers on the field of battle may depend on for survival.

In response, President Trump issued a series of Tweets and then a presidential memorandum setting forth the evidence that the pro-transgender policy was implemented without recognizing its negative impact on military effectiveness, lethality, unit cohesion, and military resources. Trump said the United States would not accept transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. military.

Billy Graham’s son, the Rev. Franklin Graham, welcomed the decision. In a July 26 post on Facebook, Rev. Franklin Graham said,  “President Donald J. Trump made a bold move today in announcing that the U.S. military will not accept transgender individuals to serve. He’s exactly right. And I’m proud that we have a president who sees and understands the truth.”

Yet, the Center for Military Readiness says Mattis assigned Anthony Kurta, an Obama holdover with a record of LGBT activism before and after the Trump Inauguration, to chair the “panel of experts” that produced a report on transgender policies that includes underwear requirements and bathroom assignments. Kurta was a key speaker at the Pentagon’s gay pride celebration in June 2017.

Despite the clear orders of the Commander-in-Chief, a transgender has been allowed to sign a contract to join the U.S. military.

At this rate, the cross-dressing Corporal Klinger from the comedy show M*A*S*H looks like a serious candidate for the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  The male character had dressed in women’s clothes to get booted out.

Mattis may be a military thinker, but the lifelong bachelor seems not to have a clear  understanding of the importance of traditional family values in the Armed Forces. Under the influence of Obama holdovers, he is encourging chaos, immorality, and disease in the ranks. Americans who believe in traditional values will shun the military if this trend continues.

What’s happening is a modern version of the great film, “Seven Days in May,” when military commanders try to replace a weak Commander-in-Chief because of a presidential “peace” deal with Russia that would leave the nation vulnerable to attack. Today, the issue is the character of the Armed Forces of the United States and the moral integrity of our troops. Trump seems to be facing a coup from Obama holdovers manipulating Mattis.

Making America Great Again was supposed to mean overturning Obama’s policies of Cultural Marxism, not saving and further implementing them. President Trump can stop this erosion of traditional morality and reverse the corrosive effects of Obama’s cultural transformation of the Armed Forces.

Americans have already lost the Boy Scouts to the rainbow lobby. Now they’re losing their beloved Armed Forces to the gays and transgenders. They are looking to President Trump for leadership. But his betrayal on gun rights is not a hopeful sign.

The judges challenge Trump

On Tuesday, U.S. District Court Judge Philip Gutierrez issued an order preventing President Trump from revoking DACA protections, and is ordering the administration to reinstate all those who have been dropped from the program.  This is more astounding judicial overreach in a year marred by such actions.  The initial DACA program was a memo, not legislation, not even a legitimate executive order or regulation.  Trump has every right as president to revoke it and enforce that revocation, but this judge has the gall to say he can’t.

An earlier circuit court decision handed down in January, blocked Trump from ending DACA in the first place – an action he had initiated last year.  The Department of Justice issued an emergency appeal to the Supreme Court to override this decision, but on Monday, the Supreme Court announced that it would not hear it.  While this is standard practice when an issue is being litigated in lower courts, the clear abuse of power exercised by these lower courts should compel the Supremes to consider this a special case.

We have been watching this outrageous judicial usurpation of power for a full year.  It is sheer lawlessness and has to stop.  All public officials swear an oath to protect and defend, not subvert, the Constitution.  What they are doing is a threat to the very legal foundations of our Republic.

There is only one punitive remedy that can be taken against such judges.  Congress can impeach them.  Unfortunately, Congress has impeached only 15 federal judges in its entire history, and only eight of those were actually removed.  A good example is the case of Alcee I. Hastings (another U.S. district court judge), who was impeached for accepting a $150,000 bribe to reduce sentences for two mobsters.  That is certainly a clear-cut case for impeachment, not to mention significant jail time, but so are these overtly partisan decisions made by judges specifically to thwart the irrefutable authority vested in the presidency.

This kind of legal subversion is actually much more egregious, because it threatens the entire legal structure of our country.  If these jurists can successfully usurp the authority of a democratically elected president, it essentially negates the election.  To the extent that this is allowed to stand, our nation is no longer a republic, but increasingly resembles a third-world dictatorship.

There is a precedent to convict for such behavior, but not much of one.  Supreme Court judge Samuel Chase was impeached by the House of Representatives in 1804 for actions described as “tending to prostitute the high judicial character with which he was invested, to the low purpose of an electioneering partizan” (sic).  Unfortunately, the Senate failed to convict, and his case is said to have insulated Supreme Court justices from similar action ever since.

The Supreme Court did hand President Trump a victory on the immigration front this week.  It will not affect the DACA controversy, but puts to rest some other legal challenges to Trump’s arrest and deportation of criminal aliens.  Not surprisingly, this was a defeat for the 9th Circuit, where much of the court obstruction to Trump’s immigration policies is originating.  The government can now hold criminal aliens indefinitely and can deny bail.

lower court also ruled this week that the administration could waive environmental regulations to expedite construction of the border wall.  So the week was not a complete loss, but it remains frustrating that certain blatantly partisan jurists continue to abuse their power in obstructing the Trump administration’s electoral mandate to reverse President Obama’s most egregious unconstitutional actions.

Putin Launches Video Of His Nukes Striking Florida

Three weeks ago, Lithuania accused Russia of deploying nuclear-capable ballistic missiles to its Kaliningrad exclave on the Baltic, as relations between Moscow and the West sink to post-Cold War lows.

Russia has previously sent Iskander missiles to Kaliningrad for drills, but Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite said that this time they were being deployed for a “permanent presence.”

Putin said the weapons include a nuclear-powered cruise missile, a nuclear-powered underwater drone and new hypersonic missile that have no equivalent elsewhere in the world. He said the creation of the new weapons has made NATO’s U.S.-led missile defense “useless,” and means an effective end to what he described as Western efforts to stymie Russia’s development.

He noted that Russia had to develop the new weapons as the U.S. has developed a missile defense system that threatened to undermine the Russian nuclear deterrent and ignored Moscow’s concerns about it.

“No one has listened to us,” he said. “You listen to us now.” More here.

Putin Nukes Florida in New Animated Video Showing Russia’s Futuristic Weapons

Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered his annual address to the country’s Federal Assembly today, showing off some impressive new weapons in the process. One of the concept videos even showed a nuclear strike using multiple warheads against the United States. The video depicts Florida, to be exact—the site of President Trump’s private club in Palm Beach.

“Any use of nuclear weapons against Russia or its allies, any kind of attack, will be regarded as a nuclear attack against Russia and in response we will take action instantaneously no matter what the consequences are,” Putin said during the address. “Nobody should have any doubt about that.”

The editor-in-chief of the Kremlin-backed RT news outlet tweeted “Elon Musk my ass” in response to the new strategic nuclear weapons, poking fun at America’s obsession with private space companies like Space X.

The Assembly broke into applause during the segment above when the video showed that Russia’s new rocket could hit any target on the globe.

“With the new system, there is no limitation,” said Putin. “As you can see from this video, it can attack any target through the North Pole or via the South Pole. No missile defense system will be able to withstand it.”

And while the part of the video showing Florida was relatively brief, it wasn’t subtle. If you had any doubt that it’s showing Florida, take a look at this Google Maps image side-by-side with Russia’s attack video.

When North Korea produces this kind of animation, they tend to blow up a city like San Francisco. The country did just that in a video produced last April.

“But this isn’t the end. We’ve developed new strategic weapons that don’t use ballistic trajectory at all, which means that missile defense will be useless against it,” Putin bragged.

Putin admitted that they don’t have any names for the new system in the animation and got a chuckle when he asked for members of the audience to submit proposals to the Defense Ministry’s website.

The new weapon uses a “nuclear power energy unit,” according to Putin. “This is how it avoids defense barriers,” Putin explained as the video played.

“It has unlimited range, so it can keep going like this forever. As you understand, this is unheard of and no one has this system in the world. They may come up with something like this in the future, but by that time our guys will come up with some new ideas as well,” Putin said.

Putin also bragged about the noiseless “unmanned submarines” that can reach incredible depths that are “just fantastic.” The Russian president was sure to note that these were also capable of carrying nuclear weapons, though it’s unclear if the country has ever actually placed a nuke on a submarine without any humans aboard. All we know for sure right now is that their animators are working overtime.

Aside from weapons, Putin’s speech was heavy on romanticizing the glory days of the Soviet Union. Or at least romanticizing the resources that were at the nation’s disposal before its collapse.

“Russia lost 23.8 percent of its territory, 48.5 percent of its population, 41 percent of GDP, 39.4 percent of its industrial potential, 44.6 percent of the defensive capabilities,” Putin explained.

“It was a big question whether we’d be able to develop strategic weapons at all. Some even asked whether if Russia was capable of servicing nuclear weapons we inherited from the Soviet Union,” said Putin.

Putin said that the new weapons were developed in direct response to the US withdrawing from the ABM Treaty in 2002.

“In 2000, the US told us about its plans to withdraw from the ABM Treaty. Russia objected to this categorically. We believed that the treaty, the 1972 treaty, was the cornerstone, the international security architecture,” Putin said.

“We made no secret of our plans. We spoke openly of what we wanted to do,” Putin said about the new developments in nuclear technology.

“We wanted to motivate our counterparts—this was in 2004. Despite all of the difficulties we faced over the years, economic and financial problems, problems with our defense industry, with our armed forces, Russia remained a nuclear power, but nobody wanted to talk to us seriously,” Putin said.

“They kept ignoring us. Nobody listened to us. So, listen to us now,” he said to rapturous applause.

“Putin’s statement makes it clear we are in a new arms race that will put us under the terror of a new Cold War, in constant fear of death at any instant,” Beatrice Fihn, the Executive Director of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons told Gizmodo in a statement.

“While Russia and the US compare the size of their arsenals, the rest of the world is joining a treaty that bans them.”

If you had any doubts that the New Cold War was upon us, you can stop doubting.

Russian MOD web site asks people to name Putin’s new nukes  Similar to when DOD last year asked people to name B-21 bomber.

Update 9:53am: As the Russian website Republic points out, the animation of Florida getting nuked was probably first produced by Russia as early as 2007, making Putin’s use of that particular video today even weirder.

Update 2:15pm: Apparently Putin wasn’t joking. Russia’s Ministry of Defense set up a page on its website where people can submit names for the new weapons.

Nukey McNukeface comes to mind, but submitting a jokey name might not be the smartest move. People who make fun of Putin don’t get treated very well inside of Russia.
